Ex-judge, wife into custody after claims of hosting Tren de Aragua member in Las Cruces

A former judge and his wife were taken into custody after authorities raided their home in Las Cruces following accusations that they had an alleged Tren de Aragua member living in their home.

KFOX14/CBS4 were on the scene Thursday afternoon when the home of former Dona Ana County Magistrate Judge Joel Cano and his wife, Nancy Cano, when U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement executed a search warrant and a probable cause arrest warrant, and both were taken into custody.

A spokesperson for ICE confirmed they were both taken into custody as part of an ongoing investigation led by Homeland Security Investigations.

Cano was charged with tampering with evidence, while Nancy was charged with conspiracy to tamper.

The raid comes after Cano had resigned in March following accusations that he and his wife, Nancy, had hosted Cristhian Ortega Lopez, an undocumented migrant from Venezuela, and an alleged TdA member.

Investigators believe Nancy hired Lopez to work on the home and then later offered their place for Lopez to stay.

Documents from the investigation indicate Lopez displayed clear indicators of association with the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, including clothing, tattoos, voicemails, and text messages.

KFOX14/CBS4 cameras captured the moment both Cano and his wife, Nancy, were handcuffed during the operation.

On Tuesday, the New Mexico Supreme Court ruled that Cano may never hold judicial office in the state.

I think the history of the different names Popes have chosen is interesting.

Some have chosen a characteristic, like Pius, Innocent, or Honorius.

Others chose a name reflecting someone important in Christendom, like John or Paul.

But there have been many Popes with, at least to our ears, names which are unusual. What prompted Popes like Urban, Conon, or Zosimus to choose those names? And, with the obvious exception of Judas, why have only a handful of names of the other Disciples had their names used?

    No idea at all??

Linus the second pope, was martyred at the wrong end of a lion, and it was a dodgy career choice, until the 300s, when the Church became the standard choice for the Roman world. Strange that hardly any of the apostles’ names with notable exceptions, were chosen by later Popes. All of the Apostles, but John met nasty deaths, and even Paul who was Disciple and a Roman citizen was martyred.
    as well.

All three are now starting to develop the first pair of true leaves. Still too small to identify the plant but at least they are alive.

Waiting for them to get bigger and see if all these fancy AI tools can identify them. I can narrow the search down to a flowering plant producing very small seeds and native to an area where coconuts are grown and harvested commercially.

Mung beans and sprouter arrived at noon yesterday. Beans are already sprouting so on track for chicken teriyaki stir fry Wednesday supper.

Cost of a 24oz bag of seeds and sprouter is ~$30 can of bean sprouts drained are only enough for one meal and they go mushy when stir fried. Too wet. $1.52

So, if I get 20 servings of bean sprouts out of this investment I break even. And the bean sprouts should be crisp and crunchy.

Lucy may post pictures on Wednesday if I can get her ass out of bed in time for supper.

Got 20 minutes into it and was bored. I know how the story ends. BANG! over Hiroshima.

But none of these movies tell the real story I am interested in.

Little known fact. The first atomic bomb was a plutonium design, Trinity. And that type of bomb was used over Nagasaki

The one exploded over Hiroshima was a previously untested Uranium 235 based design.

Where the fuck did they get the large amount of U235 used in the Hiroshima bomb? Why were they so sure it would work without testing the design first?

Oh, and where did the German nuclear scientists and their experimental U235 reactor go in early 1945?

Raccoon poop is kind of fruity as they like fruit.

Skunk poop tastes like beetles as they love eating insects.

Plus Skunk shit is a smaller diameter than Raccoon shit due to the differing size of their assholes.

LOL, I paid for Grok and I am damn well going to use it!

Grok confirms my diagnosis, although Grok tends to go rambling on….

how can i distinguish raccoon shit from skunk shit.

Distinguishing raccoon scat from skunk scat involves looking at a few key characteristics:
    Raccoon Scat:
Shape and Size: Typically tubular, 2-3 inches long, often blunt or rounded at the ends. Resembles small dog feces.

Content: Frequently contains visible undigested bits like seeds, berries, or insect parts due to their omnivorous diet.

Location: Commonly found near water sources, on logs, rocks, or in “latrines” (piles where raccoons repeatedly defecate).

Texture: Tends to be segmented and may break apart easily.

    Skunk Scat:
Shape and Size: Also tubular, but usually thinner and shorter, about 1-2 inches long, often more tapered or pointed at the ends.

Content: May contain fur, small bones, or insect parts, reflecting their carnivorous-leaning diet. Less likely to have obvious seeds or berries.

Location: Scattered randomly, often along trails or near burrows, not typically in latrines.

Texture: Smoother and more uniform, sometimes with a slight twist or curl.

Smell: Both can smell bad, but skunk scat may have a faint musky odor reminiscent of their spray, though not as intense.

I find it fascinating that Skunk shit may have “a slight twist or curl”

How do Skunks shit twisty shit?

The only reason anyone DOESN’T have one today is because they live in a state that decided to let them opt out the last time they renewed their DL. In other words, they CHOSE not to get it. Now they can live with the consequences.

This wouldn’t be an issue in the first place if the blue states where most of them live hadn’t decided to start issuing licenses to illegals.

I got a real ID when I renewed my license. I had to go to the DMV/DPS in person as I am not a citizen.

I cannot even change my address without going in person, you privileged citizens can do a change of address online lucky bastards.

So, every time I renewed licence I had to bring SSN card, Green Card, two utility bills, bank statement or any other recognized documents with my address on them.

What was different last time is they took my thumb prints.

I am OK with that, all my fingers are on file anyway, so is my smiling face.

Then I got me a gold star!!!!!

If you move to another state you have to go to the DMV and surrender your license and get a new one for the state you now reside in.

Same for a vehicle, within 30 days you have to re-title your vehicle and get new plates for it.

LOL or is those rules just for legal aliens.

Data architecture is paramount for Golden Dome success — and the Department of Defense is not ready

The primary limitation to achieving the capability will not be the physical hardware, but the ability to connect all the components. Of all the development tasks, the most critical technical hurdle in Golden Dome will be its data architecture. And of all the personnel hires, one of the most critical will be the Chief Data Officer (CDO), directly reporting to the Program Director, who will have direct control over the overall data architecture and network, and its implementation on Golden Dome hardware. In an environment with a greatly expanded number of interactions between sensors and shooters, the likelihood of a gap or security blind spot increases exponentially — unless the supporting data architecture is built to account for it from day one.

not sure I buy this but……..

The blackout was attributed to a rare atmospheric phenomenon known as “induced atmospheric vibration,” which caused oscillations in high-voltage power lines due to extreme temperature fluctuations in central Spain. These oscillations led to synchronization failures across the interconnected European power grid, particularly impacting the Iberian Peninsula.
    https://nypost.com/2025/04/28/world-news/spain-portugal-hit-with-massive-power-outage-causing-cities-to-standstill/

While the European power grid is interconnected, it is divided into several synchronous zones. The Iberian Peninsula operates within its own synchronous zone, which means disturbances within this zone can be contained without necessarily affecting other regions like Germany or Russia.

    NASA.

Why would NASA be the one announcing battlefield-level nuclear events?
Simple: the explosions were so large they triggered Earth-monitoring satellites designed to detect surface temperature changes. It was impossible to hide. And using NASA makes it seem “scientific” instead of “military,” keeping tensions from boiling over immediately.

This is an excellent rundown of what happened in Spain/Portugal

    AN ANONYMOUS EXPERT VIEW

From a deep groupchat, last night, translated from Spanish, written by an expert in transmission and distribution of power. Not my words.

“What has happened on April 28 has a well-located origin: the Aragón-Catalonia corridor, which is one of the most important electric highways in Spain. There is not only the electricity produced by our solar and wind farms in the northeast, but also the electricity that we import from France. This international interconnection, although weak (it can only contribute 3% of our demand, well below the minimum of 10% that marks the EU), in times of stress is essential to balance the network.

At 12:32 p.m., in that Aragón-Catalonia corridor there was an electric shock. What exactly does “shake” mean? It means that suddenly and abnormally, the power that flowed through those lines began to vary violently, rising and falling in a very short time. Such abrupt variability can be due to three main causes:

    1. That a relay or transformer on that electric highway detects an abnormal flow of current or voltage (higher or lower than expected) and automatically disconnected to avoid burning or destroyed. This is called that “opens” a relay or switch: it jumps and cuts the passage of electricity to protect itself.

    2. That the enormous concentration of renewable energy in that area (mainly solar and wind) has created an electrical resonance: electronic inverters, which synchronize current, can sometimes be amplified between them if a small voltage alteration (for example, due to clouds, strong wind or a slight failure) extends like an echo to all devices, causing widespread oscillations.

    3. That a wrong control order has been sent (by mistake or attack) from the SCADA systems, disconnecting or reducing the generation of multiple hit plants. There is no confirmation of this possibility yet, but it is being investigated.

What is known is that as a consequence of that shake, the interconnection with France jumped: we were isolated just at the worst time, when the peninsula needed external support to stabilize.

Without that French help, the frequency of the peninsular network (which should always be 50 Hz exact) began to drop quickly. The frequency is like the heartbeat of the network: if it falls too much, the systems understand that the patient (the network) is collapsing and automatically disconnected so as not to self-destruct. Thus, in just five seconds, the solar and wind farms were turned off —very sensitive to frequency variations—, 15 GW of power was lost suddenly (60% of all the electricity generated at that time), and the network could not take it anymore: it was It collapsed completely, showing the Redeia Platform (REE) a “0 MW” nationwide. That does not mean that all the turbines were physically turned off, but there was no generator synchronized at the common frequency of 50 Hz. It was, for practical purposes, a country off.

To ignite a completely dead network again, one essential thing is needed: plants that can start in black, that is, without receiving energy from anywhere else. Spain has identified five large hydroelectric jumps capable of doing this. However, and here is one of the great negligences that are coming to light, three of those five groups were stopped in scheduled maintenance, by business decision supervised by the administration. Only two were operational. That made the recovery much slower and weaker than it should be in a normal contingency plan.

The result is that, after almost 10 hours, only 35% to 40% of the national supply has been recovered, and there are still large areas in the dark or under scheduled cuts.

The situation reveals a very serious underlying problem:

Spain is still an energy island: it only has 3% foreign exchange capacity compared to its total demand.”…

I could have told you that if you had asked.

An electrical grid is a very complex and fragile machine. Arguably the most complex man made machine.

When it goes down it is a huge task to re-start it and there are only a few power stations that can do it.

All the generators have to be synchronized. It is called a black start.

    @ eaglesoars:
Bordm had a good analogy as to your home generator powering just your home. It actually needs power to get it running to make lots more power.

I just Groked this so I am not talking shit, a coal fired power station needs about 5-10% of the power it generates to keep running, same with Nuclear. Natural gas power stations use 2-6% of their own generated power, hydro-electric is best at 1-5%

So, once a power station shuts down because of a fault it needs power from the grid to get going again. But no power on the grid!

To get the grid up and running again you need some power, and there are only a few power stations that can cold start a grid. They start then provide power to other stations so they can start up. A cascade effect.

The other difficulty when re-starting a power grid is all the generators throughout the country need to be synchronised. 60Hz in the USA and EXACTLY the same phase.

When a power grid is operating normally any generator that tries to go over or under 60Hz or gets out of phase it is kicked off the grid.

The electricity distribution network is an amazing thing, and when working correctly no body notices.

But although it is robust it is also very fragile at the same time if that makes sense.

Supper was very nice. Thank you Lucy! But she needs to get a better camera.

It was green peppers, mushrooms, bean sprouts and onions sliced using a jar lid as if making a blooming onion.

Far superior to slicing or chopping the onions, they are sliced length ways along the grain of the onion cells and retain the onion moisture. But hazardous to attempt when old, or drunk, or both.

Some chicken drizzled with Teriyaki sauce and a chunk of salmon, skin on, pan fried in coconut oil then a splash of oyster sauce.

The picture does not do it justice, the pile of veggies was quite high and a mushroom photo bombed it!

Anyway, still have beansprouts left over. For breakfast! ( puke )

    Sounds awfully familiar…

German Spy Agency Officially Classifies AfD Party as ‘Extremist’

Germany’s domestic intelligence agency has officially classified the right-wing party Alternative for Germany (AfD) as extremist.

Having regarded the AfD as a suspected extremist movement since 2021, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), on May 2 designated the populist party as “right-wing extremist,” following an “intensive and comprehensive expert examination.”

This means that intelligence services now have the right to keep it under surveillance.

BfV said in a statement that AfD’s approach to ethnicity is “not compatible with the free democratic basic order.”

According to BfV’s statement, AfD does not consider German nationals with a migration background from Muslim-origin countries as equal members of the German people.

BfV Vice President Sinan Selen and Vice President Dr. Silke Willems in a joint statement said: “We have come to the conviction that the Alternative for Germany is a definitively right-wing extremist movement.”

Certain factions of the AfD such as its youth wing had already been classified as extremist.

In the party’s first response to the report, the leader of a regional parliamentary group, Anton Baron, said: “It is sad to see the state of democracy in our country when the established parties now resort to the most politically questionable means to act against the strongest opposition party.”

“This is solely about maintaining the power of the old parties,” he said separately in a post on X. “The fight against the AfD has become a fight against democracy itself. We won’t be intimidated!”

A survey by Ipsos in March showed the AfD party topped the polls for the first time.

I know you are all intrigued as to how my body performed in April but were too afraid to ask.

No real weight gain or loss. April 1st 207.6 April 30th 208.4

High during the month 210.6 which was caused by short sleep times/laying flat and a higher than usual sodium intake for the preceding few days.

Low during April was 204.2 both alcohol were reduced for a few days.

Anyway no real gain in weight for an average daily calorie intake of 2485 per day. Consisting of 998 food and 1487 alcoholic beverages.

After 5 months of this my BMR is about 2300-2400, a proven fact.

May I am trying a life style change to reduce daily calorie input by 1000 calories to lose weight. 1500 calories per day.

    Going to quit eating…

Nightwish, apart from being a great band to watch videos of doing live concerts, actually has some nice tunes!

Now, as to the lady playing the piano, watch her hands. It is mesmerizing. Like watching two spiders crossed with an octopus. I watched some of her piano covers and some of other piano players. Her hand movements are way different.

I am no expert on anything but watching this one she is playing the white notes while her hands are over the black ones. If that makes sense. Her whole hand moves over the black notes when she is playing a combination of black and white. Not hovering over the white ones and stretching a finger to play a black note.

Amy over analyzing this? Probably, but it is either do this or clean the bathroom.

Anyway, this video illustrates what I feel. Her hands are mesmerizing….

    From the NY Post:

“The Army and Navy did not allocate sufficient maintenance, manning, [or] training,” according to the report, which also found that the services “did not organize, train, and equip to a common joint standard” for the so-called “joint logistics over-the-shore” (JLOTS) operation.

The disjointed nature of the effort contributed to 27 watercraft and other paraphernalia suffering damage costing $31 million to repair, the report found, as “Army- and Navy-specific equipment, including watercraft, piers, and causeways, as well as command, control, and communications systems was not interoperable.”

US Central Command reported 62 injuries during the course of Operation Neptune Solace, though the report said it was unclear whether they happened “during the performance of duties or resulted off duty or from pre-existing medical conditions.”

The Pentagon had previously confirmed that three service members were injured May 23, 2024, as the result of a non-combat incident during the operation.

One of those injured, Army Sgt. Quandarius Davon Stanley, 23, died Oct. 31 while under long-term medical care.

2, The position under the 5 on the gear shift in the Batmobile turned on the rocket engine at the back. Yeah, I know, lame and not likely to get Lucy many interactions.

No point posting a video, we all seen it!

3, Another click bait reply Lucy could have used.

” The gear shift in my Tesla does not have reverse in that position. Reverse is over to the left, push the gear stick down and then to the right. A safety feature ”

Sources Say the Biden Crime Family Is Going Broke

Aww, now isn’t this nice? The Biden crime family is facing a serious cash crunch now that its patriarch is out of power and the influence-peddling machine has ground to a halt.

As we previously reported, on Thursday, Joe and Jill Biden made a live appearance on “The View” in New York City, and according to Mark Halperin, the move is part of a broader effort to rehabilitate Joe Biden’s image after a disastrous first 100 days back in private life. “There’s a story in Politico today that says they’ve hired the former Pentagon spokesperson to manage the Biden comeback,” Halperin said. “Joe Biden wants to be out there… He wants to speak out against Donald Trump. He wants to defend his reputation.”

Halperin also noted that Politico is reporting the Trump administration plans to release audio of Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur, the one that led Hur to describe Biden as “an elderly man with a poor memory.” But Halperin offered a blunt insight from someone close to the family: “I talked to someone very familiar with the Bidens, and I think they’ve pointed out something that I’m gonna say now, that to me, is the explanation, or at least part of the explanation, which is Biden Inc. has collapsed.”

He didn’t sugarcoat the financial rot. “All those Biden grandkids had a lavish lifestyle, which they very much liked. Hunter made hundreds of thousands, millions of dollars. Joe, as a former president, is not in a position to get the same kind of paid speeches, corporate boards, book deals.”

“Wait, wait, wait! The paintings aren’t worth a lot?” Sean Spicer quipped.

“The grift is over,” Spicer observed. “The big guy’s not getting his cut anymore, and that’s a problem. I get it; they’ve lived a very lavish lifestyle. There’s the beach house. I gotta imagine the property taxes aren’t cheap. Uh, they’re used to a certain lifestyle, but not just them. To your point, the whole family was coming from one source and they lost their USAID funding basically.”

Of course, we all know the “source” was the global network of influence built while Joe Biden was vice president and continued into his presidency. But that operation doesn’t function without power, and now, without it, the Bidens are scrambling to find new income.

“They were pulling in $10 million a year, maybe more,” Halperin estimated. “What’s Biden Inc. pulling in today?”

That really puts Biden’s decision to seek a second term into perspective, doesn’t it?

Spicer was just as candid: “No one wants to know what he thinks. Number two, he doesn’t know what he thinks, and that’s a bigger problem.”

Even Biden’s future prospects as a paid speaker are bleak. “You don’t think the Washington Speakers Bureau looked at him and said, ‘That guy needs to be flown all over the country giving $800,000 speeches’?” Halperin asked sarcastically.

Spicer replied, “No. I think they looked at him and said, ‘We’ll get back to you after the company retreat.’”

As for the prospects of a presidential library — a traditional source of prestige and fundraising — Halperin was blunt: “He’s not a good fundraiser, and the donors are not currently in love with him.”

So the Biden crime family is out of gas, out of influence, and running on fumes. The free ride is over — and the scramble for relevance (and revenue) has begun.

Natasha came into my apartment in October 2017 through an open window and then decided that is where she wanted to live.

    I am OK with that!

Anyway whenever there is a thunderstorm she seeks safety by hiding behind the toilet, in a bathroom cabinet, under the sink or in a kitchen cabinet.

Now, after over seven years of this she finally decided the best place to get shelter and be protected from thunder storms is to crawl into bed next to me!

It is kind of nice that after seven years she finally trusts me to keep her safe. LOL!

Walmart order is on the way. A combination of boring and fun.

Cat treats ( that is a given ) Some Keto no carb bread, six small avocados and a jar of minced garlic ( I don’t have a girlfriend and I like garliky stuff )

    Now the fun!

A packet of cucumber seeds, a packet of Pak Choy seeds ( Chinese cabbage ) which hopefully I can at least get one tiny cucumber from and baby crunchy cabbage.

Also three garlic bulbs, I have potting soil and pots so going to break the bulbs into cloves and plant them, They may grow and divide, or if they don’t I will dig them up again and eat them.

The really fun and extravagant purchase is some very course sea salt. I think that would be perfect for my avocadoes.

Avocadoes need lightly salting and the coarse salt will add some crunchiness to the avocado slime.

Interesting fact about pickles ( aka baby cucumbers ) One acre takes two people working 8hrs per day seven days a week to harvest them.

Notice all the pickles in the jar are the same size? They grow so fast they have to be harvested when they are the pickle jar size. Hence the constant work needed to select the optimum sized ones.

Oh and I confirmed it using Grock.

That’s a fascinating tidbit about pickles! Here’s another interesting fact: Pickling cucumbers (often called “baby cucumbers”) are typically harvested when they’re just 2-4 inches long, as their smaller size and firmer texture make them ideal for pickling. The labor-intensive nature of harvesting, as you mentioned, stems from the fact that pickling cucumbers must be hand-picked to avoid damaging the delicate vines and ensure only the best-quality cucumbers are selected. This process can yield around 4,000-5,000 pounds of cucumbers per acre, depending on the variety and growing conditions!

And yet again I thought I was clever but not clever enough.

There are chemicals that are used to stop potatoes and onions etc from sprouting. They are used to treat groceries so your potatoes don’t sprout green things and your onions don’t try to escape from the pantry.

Try it. buy some baby red potatoes and at the same time buy organic baby reds and place one of each on the kitchen counter and just wait a few days.

I just bought regular garlic bulbs not organic. Bet they are treated to prevent them sprouting.

The labeled ” organic ” are not allowed to be treated with chemicals, that is why organic produce has a very short shelf life, the shit starts growing…

If I hoped to grow garlic I should have paid $1 more for three bulbs.

Oh well, I is going to eated them anyway.

However if I am going to try to grow a tiny cucumber or a baby Chinese cabbage then I am going to have to plant the seeds in their forever home. They don’t like their roots messed with.

The opposite is true for my tomato plants, messing about with their roots and multiple transplanting actually encourages root growth.

It pisses the plants off and they fight back!

    Grok agrees….

does severing tomato plant roots promote growth

Severing tomato plant roots, often called root pruning, can promote growth in specific contexts but comes with risks. Cutting roots stimulates new root growth by triggering the plant to repair and expand its root system, which can enhance nutrient and water uptake. This is sometimes done intentionally in practices like transplanting or air pruning in containers, where roots are trimmed to encourage a denser, more fibrous root system. For example, when transplanting tomato seedlings, lightly disturbing the roots can stimulate branching and improve establishment.

A food post, well not my food.

Cinco de Mayo is an white American thing. Nobody here did anything for it. In fact only a tiny place ion Mexico celebrates it.

Same with St Patrick’s day in the USA. That is an American reason to drink green beer and go nuts eating Corned Beef and Carrots. But no Americans eat corned beef and cabbage the rest of the year. Why not if it is so good?

Reason for this post, the air is thick with smoke from charcoal grills tinged with lighter fluid. Also when I let the cats out at 8am there were several large boilers being set up for making Tamales.

Point is, Mother’s day is being celebrated here with food. From Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and a few other countries I cannot remember where the people are from.

Feels like a genuine celebration day not a fake commercially driven event.

    @ Possum:
As a side note for anyone who is interested.

Mother’s Day in the USA is actually a commercial event, always at the same time of year, the second Sunday of May. When flowers are blooming and far away enough from Valentines day so sales are maximised.

Mother’s Day, or Mothering Sunday is a many hundreds year old tradition that is syncronised with Easter, so the date varies.

It is the one day that Lent can be broken in honour of mothers.

It was March 30th this year in the rest of the world.

Where did Mother’s Day come from?
Mother’s Day has been celebrated for a long time with the BBC reporting that it started “during the Middle Ages”.

The broadcaster explained: “During the Middle Ages, the custom developed of allowing people who had moved away from where they grew up to come back to visit their home or ‘mother’ churches, and their mothers, on the fourth Sunday of the Christian festival of Lent.

Mother’s Day is a day that appreciation is shown towards the motherly figures in our lives
Mother’s Day is a day that appreciation is shown towards the motherly figures in our lives (Image: Canva)
“At the time, it wasn’t uncommon for children to leave home to work when they were as young as 10 years old, so this was an opportunity for families to meet up again.

“This became Mothering Sunday in Britain. As the dates of Lent vary each year, so does the date of Mothering Sunday.

“Although it’s often called Mother’s Day in the UK, it has no connection with the American Mother’s Day.”

    What is Lent?
Lent is something that is also celebrated every year around Easter time.

The BBC explains: “Lent is a period of 40 days during which many Christians remember the events leading up to and including the death of Jesus Christ, whose life and teachings are the foundation of Christianity.

“The 40-day period is called Lent after an old English word meaning ‘lengthen’.

“This is because of the time of year when it happens, as this is when the days start to get longer, as we approach Summer.

“It is a time of reflection and of asking for forgiveness, and when Christians prepare to celebrate Jesus’s resurrection at the feast of Easter, which comes at the very end of Lent.”

Well, just planted some Bok Choy seeds and the plan was to plant four in a four inch pot, six pots.

Then allowing for misfires I may have one or two plants per small pot that I can grow into baby Bok Choys and eated them in a stir fry.

The seeds are tiny and I have fingers like pig’s tits so there may be more than four seeds per pot!

For anyone wondering, tomatoes are doing OK, this lack of direct sunlight is causing leggyness but the shoot tips are showing signs of potentially producing flowers. Small and densely compacted leaves. We shall see!

As to the tomato plants I gave away to ground floor people with raised beds outside their apartments, the plants are healthy and growing at an amazing rate.

    Fr. James Altman
    @FatherAltman
    SO. ABOUT THAT NEW POPE.

Dear family, many have been asking me about Prevost, the new “pope.” As obviously has been the case since the hierarchy betrayed us in their altar boy-raping and cover up, and abandoned us during the covid-plan-demic, the vast majority of the hierarchy have betrayed and abandoned us once again.

Has anyone sensed how absolutely irrelevant the Catholic Church has become under apostate Bergoglio and the anti-Catholic synodal-way he has tried to establish?

Does anyone really even care that this new guy “made history” as the first American pope? Factually, he is a relative unknown “American” with ZERO heroic pedigree of persecution for the Catholic Faith.
Was anyone – except for the likes of James Martin or Blase Cupich – really cheering for Prevost when he suddenly appeared on the balcony? Can you imagine the cheers that would have rung out had someone like Cardinal Sarah or Cardinal Zen stepped out?! That really tells us all we need to know. We have been betrayed and abandoned once again.

I understand that his history is aligned with “Bergoglio the Apostate,” such that he is aligned with the globalist communist agenda as seen in the climate change hoax, the anti-Catholic open-borders heresy, and Bergoglio’s false message of “mercy?” [remember: no sin, then no repentance, then no absolution nor forgiveness. period.]

Has any REAL Catholic not already “put two and two together” and, knowing that the Catholic Church essentially is financially bankrupt, figured out that the reason Bergoglio’s boys voted in Prevost was to strong-arm the United States into using tax-payer money to fund such things as Catholic Charities which did such evil things? Does any REAL Catholic not already know that Catholic NGO’s used our taxpayer money in so many corrupt ways to pay for the Godless globalist agenda throughout the world, an agenda that even facilitated child sex slaves crossing the southern border? (I can’t wait to see the names that show up on the Epstein list and other investigations)

Does any REAL Catholic not already know that Prevost’s “election” was all about U.S. taxpayer dollars?

FACT: A REAL Catholic Pope would begin every proclamation with the proclamation voiced by every prophet, St. John the Baptist and Jesus Christ the Lord: REPENT and BELIEVE and GO AND SIN NO MORE. PERIOD.

THAT is the REAL Gospel, the Real Deposit of Faith, handed down unchanged and unchangeable, over 2,000 years of Saints and Martyrs, and not that utter TRIPE that Prevost spewed forth from the balcony.

Memo to Prevost: there is NO bridge that can be built over the unbridgeable chasm between Heaven and Hell.

A REAL Catholic Pope would preach the words of Jesus as regards sin and salvation – the reason Jesus came in the first place – and not some latest version of the heretical “liberation theology” that originally came out of heretical South American hierarchy whereafter Prevost spent so much time in Peru.

So in betraying and abandoning us, it certainly seems that Bergoglio’s boys got the anti-Trump American Cardinal they wanted who now will try to use the Jesus’s Catholic Church to undermine this sovereign nation through the same methodical and heretical misrepresentation of Catholicism as Bergoglio did.

So be it. As St. Pio said, pray, hope and don’t worry.

So, the question to ask is not what is my opinion, the best question to ask is will Prevost be Catholic?

Here are four simple tests to get us started – though rest assured, this only is a start to proving he actually is Catholic:

    1. Will he take away the red hats from Mahoney and Wuerl, two of the absolute worst altar-boy-raper-cover-uppers in the history of the entire Catholic Church, and demote and get rid of every other such viper in the hierarchy? [don’t hold your breath on this one – in his position as honcho over the dicastery for bishops, he did nothing about the cancer in the USCCB]

    2. Will he remove McElroy from DC – McElroy being the treasonous poster boy for the criminal invasion of our southern border – and immediately put that viper out to pasture?

    3. Will he publicly apologize for the Abu Dhabi agreement, reconsecrate St. Peter’s after the Pachamama abomination, re-assert that there is only one true Church and not many “ways” to Heaven, and end the anti-Catholic idiocy of synodality?

    4. Will he publicly acknowledge the apostacy of Bergoglio regarding traditionis custodis, and ORDER every bishop in the world, as did Pope Benedict XVI, to allow, encourage and enable the only Dogmatic Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the Roman Rite Church – commonly known as the Traditional Latin Mass?

If the answers to any or all of these four questions are “no,” then every time he henceforth rears his ugly anti-Catholic head, he is to be opposed as an anti-pope in the line of Bergoglio, along with every bishop or cardinal who enables his error. He, and they, must be publicly and vigorously excoriated for any diabolical contravention of the Deposit of Faith.

But honestly, I really do not have to state the obvious to every real Catholic. These things we already know.

Dear family, God gave us a brain and He expects us to use it. So instead of asking my opinion regarding Prevost, instead, ask “is he Catholic?” The fact that he let Bergoglio get away with apostacy for over a decade as Bergoglio led eight billion people down the road to Perdition seems to already have answered that question. Regardless, henceforth Prevost’s actions will continue to answer that question, loudly and clearly.

Conclave Secrets — Why Prevost Won, Parolin Lost

By John GizziMonday, 12 May 2025

This may have been one of the most tumultuous papal conclaves in recent memory, with the cardinals of the Roman Church settling on what appears to be a unifying Pope, Leo XIV.

It is remarkable that Robert Prevost, an American, became Pope. It long had been held that an American could never become Pope.

But Vatican sources, who are impeccable, tell Newsmax he was the man to beat from the minute the conclave began.

    Here’s what unfolded.

This conclave started last Wednesday with secret meetings in the Sistine Chapel.

But the discussions about replacing Francis began almost immediately after his death on April 21.

These meetings — general congregations — at first were comprised mainly of Vatican-based cardinals, but the numbers soon swelled as others arrived from distant parts of the world.

Sources said these meetings were very frank and, at times, quite difficult.

The open days were like “chaos,” one participant said.

Francis had named so many cardinals, and many had never even met before.

Other cardinals were shocked to hear tales of mismanagement and abuses under Francis.

Though Francis had talked of dialogue and openness in the church, he did not tolerate any criticism well.

Nor did Francis have much toleration for church traditions, including the Latin Mass, which he had sought to ban.

His reprisals against priests, bishops, and cardinals who spoke out against some of his radical statements and policies were often petty and nasty.

The cardinals openly discussed these and other problems in the pre-conclave meetings.

One problem was the bad concordant made between the Vatican and China.

Some saw it as a sellout to the Communist Chinese regime, giving Beijing de facto control over the church in China.

Cadinal Parolin, the Vatican secretary of state, was largely blamed for it.

And then there were financial abuse issues in the Vatican.

The Vatican has numerous financial problems, including a $1.5 billion unfunded liability for its pension system.

Several cardinals insisted the next Pope leave the Vatican hotel, Santa Marta, and return to the papal apartments.

Francis lived in Santa Marta, causing security and space issues for Cardinals and Bishops. (Leo has moved his residence back to the papal apartments.)

By the time the conclave began, Parolin, the named “front-runner” for Pope, had little chance.

One participant told me that by the day the conclave began, Parolin looked “beat up.”

Another told me Parolin was a good priest, but had been “tortured” by Francis who “changed his mind every five minutes” and was notoriously difficult to work with.

Parolin had sought to resign more than once as secretary of state, but was urged to stay because he was a stabilizing force at the Vatican.

    The Conclave Meets

The meeting of the conclave is secret, but inevitably word spills as to what happens there.

So it was, and I have a clear understanding of this conclave from multiple Vatican sources.

As the opening vote took place on Wednesday, it was helter-skelter.

Though quite controlling, Francis had never set in motion a plan to effectively name a successor.

Francis selected 108 of the 135 voting cardinals — an astounding 80% of them — and had he weighed in before his death with one candidate, he may have been able to push through his person.

Surprisingly, I was told, the strongest supporters of Francis had never organized to get behind one candidate.

“They were scattered all over the place,” one participant told me, recounting multiple candidates on the first ballot.

As the second and third votes took place, it became clear there were only three contenders.

First was Cardinal Erdo from Hungary. Church conservatives rallied behind him, giving him an initial block of votes.

Second was Parolin, who had some Francis votes and a group of Italian cardinals behind him.

    Third was Prevost.

He began strong with the backing of North American cardinals like Blase Cupich of Chicago but also brought to the ballot “all of the Latin cardinals as a block.”

By the fourth vote, it was clear neither Parolin nor Erdo could win.

“The African and Asian cardinals saw where this was going and stampeded to Prevost,” my source said.

Prevost won handily on the fourth ballet, securing over 100 votes. Only 88 votes were needed for him to become the next Pope.

Prevost did not accidentally become Pope. Support for him appeared to be organized.

About 10 days before the conclave, a wave of articles hit the Catholic press suggesting that dark horse Prevost could win the papal ballot.

“The first American Pope? This cardinal has the best chance of making history in this conclave,” the liberal National Catholic Reporter headlined on April 30.

Though close to Francis, Prevost is seen as a church centrist.

He is liberal-leaning on economic and social justice issues, but conservative on church teachings and traditions.

Several Vatican sources have indicated that Leo will soon lift restrictions on the Latin mass.

During the general congregations, the conservative faction of the conclave liked what they heard from Prevost.

He frequently mentioned “Our Lord” and talked about the pastoral work of the church, one participant recalled.

No doubt, Prevost, as an American and somewhat unknown, was a bold choice.

Not sure either how the votes were corralled so soon. Given that most of the 108 cardinals who were Francis appointees, many of whom didn’t even know each other personally, and that Prevost has only been a Cardinal for less than a couple of years, it appears too stage managed to only last into the fourth vote! Given the massive ‘leakage’ from within Conclave itself. Remember that each of the 135 voting Cardinals had to formally swear ‘individually’, under penalty of heresy against Canon Law, and excommunication from the RCC….. the ‘leakage’ from within the secret Conclave appeared massive ….. AGAIN.

Such obvious ‘leakage’, if true, brings into question whether the Swiss Guard initiated sweeping of the Conclave building for listening devices was professionally completed, in the week before the Conclave began. One has to recollect the period prior to Pope Francis’ Conclave 12 years past, that both the ‘San Gallen Group’ discussions, that in itself is a total criminal enterprise against Canon Law. Not to even mention additionally, the Francis Conclave itself , were deeply suspicious, and openly reported as having been penetrated by CIA electronic over-watch on both occasions. Some seem to never learn from their potentially ‘amateur hour’ security, on all of these past occasions. One has to ask just how factual these reports actually are? Given the power gambits involved, on these now three separate occasions, and the CIA’s past history, one must assume that the odds against CIA dabbling in power politics, are getting stacked pretty hard against inevitable CIA meddling ….AGAIN.

    🙂

    You’re a 19-year-old kid.
You are critically wounded and dying in the jungle somewhere in the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
    It’s November 14, 1965. LZ (landing zone) X-ray.
Your unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense from 100 yards away, that your CO (commanding officer) has ordered the MedEvac helicopters to stop coming in.
You’re lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns, and you know you’re not getting out.
Your family is halfway around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you’ll never see them again.
As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.
Then – over the machine gun noise – you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter.
You look up to see a Huey coming in. But, It doesn’t seem real because no MedEvac markings are on it.
Captain Ed Freeman is coming in for you. He’s not MedEvac so it’s not his job, but he heard the radio call and decided he’s flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire anyway.
Even after the MedEvacs were ordered not to come. He’s coming anyway. And he drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 3 of you at a time on board.
Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses and safety. And, he kept coming back!! 13 more times!!
Until all the wounded were out. No one knew until the mission was over that the Captain had been hit 4 times in the legs and left arm.
He took 29 of you and your buddies out that day. Some would not have made it without the Captain and his Huey.
Medal of Honor Recipient, Captain Ed Freeman, United States Army, died at the age of 81, in Boise, Idaho.

David Hogg may actually be on to something. The problem is that liberal women are famously unattractive.

NEW: David Hogg gets a huge reaction from Bill Maher after saying Democrats need to reconnect with young men who just want to “get laid and have fun” without walking on eggshells.

He said the parties have flipped. Democrats are now the snobs that judge your every move.

“What I think happened last election is younger men—they would rather vote for somebody who they don’t completely agree with, they don’t feel judged by, than somebody who they do agree with, that they feel like they have to walk on eggshells around constantly because they’re going to be judged or ostracized or excommunicated.”

And because of that, young men are walking away.

“Nobody is perfect. But ultimately, what we have to do here is figure out how to bring people back in and work towards the bigger goal of advancing the future of this country and helping young people especially get by, so that they’re able to focus on their lives and getting with a young woman or something like that, instead of how are they going to pay their rent, for example, or how are they working their two jobs.

“Young people should be able to focus on what young people should be focused on, which is how to get laid and how to go and have fun.”

Maher clapped, stood up, and shook Hogg’s hand after that comment.

Episcopal Church says it won’t help resettle white South Africans granted refugee status in US

The Episcopal Church’s migration service is refusing a directive from the federal government to help resettle white South Africans granted refugee status, citing the church’s longstanding “commitment to racial justice and reconciliation.”

Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe announced the step Monday, shortly before 59 South Africans arrived at Dulles International Airport outside Washington on a private charter plane and were greeted by a government delegation.

Episcopal Migration Ministries instead will halt its decades-long partnership with the government, Rowe said.

President Donald Trump opened a fast-tracked refugee status to white South Africans, accusing their government of discrimination, even as his administration abruptly shut down the overall U.S. refugee program. The South Africans jumped ahead of thousands of would-be refugees overseas who had been undergoing years of vetting and processing.

Episcopal Migration Ministries has long resettled refugees under federal grants. Rowe said that about two weeks ago, the government contacted it and said it expected the ministry to resettle some of the South Africans under terms of its grant.

“In light of our church’s steadfast commitment to racial justice and reconciliation and our historic ties with the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, we are not able to take this step,” Rowe said. “Accordingly, we have determined that, by the end of the federal fiscal year, we will conclude our refugee resettlement grant agreements with the U.S. federal government.”

I started choking up a little after the Onkydoc gave me the news, but I held it together, went back to business. I’ll have appointments for blood draws & fresh Signatera markers every three months, CT scan every four months. The Signatera tests are relatively new – it detects dead cancer cell DNA for early warning in case some little beastie decides to start fucking around again. Onkydoc said it’s unlikely, but if that happens I’ll just go back on 5FU infusions (with a capillary inhibitor other than Avastin).

I’m hoping that after a few months the drugs filter out and I can think a bit more clearly. I’m not going to be able to blame stupid on chemobrain any more.

Another benefit is I’ll get some days back that I didn’t have during infusion weeks. Drawback: the pretty nurses will miss their favorite patient.

WATCH: Someone Should Be Fired After CNN Analyst Goes on Wild, Racist Rant Against White South Afrikaners

    —————–

Things got wild on CNN on Monday night after a former Obama staffer and current CNN analyst decided to go on a racist rant over President Donald Trump admitting 48 South African refugees.

As RedState has reported, South Africa’s ruling party has infamously made singing “Kill the Boer,” which translates to “kill the farmer,” a staple of their political rallies. For context, the song specifically refers to white farmers (Afrikaners) and dates back to the country’s apartheid days. Laws to confiscate their land and extra-judicial killings have taken center stage over the last several years.

For some reason, though, that has greatly offended Democrats, who have finally found refugees they do not want to admit into the country. Funny how that works, right? I’m sure it’s just a coincidence. On the other hand, here’s Ashley Allison making it clear that it’s not one.
