After citizen protest, the U.S. finally decided to boycott the second notoriously racist Durban Review Conference commonly referred to as “Durban 2“.  Although created with the altruistic goal of being the spark towards an international push against racism worldwide, the event mutated into an outright tribunal against Israel, its right to exist, and into an apologia for unfree states and dictatorships.

At the first Durban Conference, Zionism was condemned outright as the contemporary form of Nazism and apartheid but so was “white viciousness”, which had caused “one Holocaust after the other in Africa” through human trafficking, slavery and colonialism. Israel should disappear; its politicians should be brought before an international tribunal similar to the one in Nuremberg. Anti-Semitic cartoons were circulated, copies of “Mein Kampf” and the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” were handed out. Beneath a photo of Hitler were the words that Israel would never have existed and the Palestinians would never have had to spill their blood if he had been victorious. A number of delegates were physically threatened, there were calls of “Death to Jews”.

Regrettably, this year was not much different, as was evidenced most clearly by the infamous speech by Iranian ‘Genocidephile’ Mahmood Ahmadinejad, and his entourage’s treatment of peace activist, and holocaust survivor, Ellie Wiesel. The stench of Anti-semitism, and outright racism was so potent at this years conference that even a large group of European diplomats walked out in protest.

None of this however was enough to bother the Israeli-Arab Members of Knesset who happily attended and participated in the conference in violation of the Israeli Governmental boycott.

As Reported At Israel National News:

While Israel has warned that the conference unfairly singles out Israel and Zionism for criticism, MKs from Balad and other Arab parties have expressed their enthusiastic support for the meeting. MKs Jamal Zahalka of Balad and Ahmed Tibi of the United Arab List (Ra’am Ta’al) have accused Israel of avoiding the meeting due to “shame” and “fear.”

Zahalka and fellow Balad MK Said Nafa attended the conference in person.  Prior to the conference, the two attended the pre-summit NGO Civil Society Forum March, where Zahalka accused Israel of “racist apartheid.”

Tibi did not attend the conference, but supported the Balad MKs from afar by repeating their accusations against mainstream Israeli society.  Israel is becoming increasingly racist, Tibi told journalists shortly before the conference began.  He accused Israel of falsely claiming that the conference is anti-Semitic in order to avoid participating.

Zahalka, who identified himself as a “Palestinian resident of Israel,” said the success of the Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel Our Home) party in the recent national elections proves that Israel is racist on a national level.   Yisrael Beiteinu has called for all residents of Israel to be required to demonstrate loyalty to the state.

As Reported At The Jerusalem Post:

Balad chairman MK Jamal Zahalka, who will attend Durban II, addressed the crowd at the NGO Civil Society Forum March in Geneva on Sunday, presenting himself as a Palestinian victim of “Israeli racist apartheid” and concluding his speech by proclaiming: “No peace without justice.”

Zahalka said he planned to raise the issue of the “official racism” with which, he argued, Israel discriminated against Palestinian residents, citing Israel Beiteinu’s election victory as evidence of the racism in Israeli society.

“Any conference against racism is welcome, especially when it is held under the auspices of the UN,” said Zahalka’s fellow Balad MK Said Nafa.  “All countries in the word should be concerned by racism, and everybody is participating other than those who have something to fear.”

Nafa said that he was satisfied that both his party’s chairman and its secretary-general were participating in the conference, but said he was disappointed that the government had decided to boycott the conference, and that no members of the coalition were present in Geneva.

Tibi added that those who seek to boycott the conference on the basis of anti-Semitism were simply looking for a convenient excuse. “Israel’s lack of participation is a form of running away.  Israel is being accused there, and Israel solves the problem by claiming anti-Semitism. But not everything that is critical of Israel is anti-Semitism,” he added.

It appeared that the Arab MKs’ trips were paid for by their parties.

These individuals – full members of Knesset (Israel’s Government) – describe themselves publicly as “palestinian residents in Israel” (thus denying their Israeli citizenship), violate Israeli law, break their own Government’s boycott to attend a conference that calls for the destruction of the Country they are citizens and Governmental officials of, proudly support Israel’s enemies, attack and deny the core principles of their own Country, and then have the chutzpah to cry racism and accuse some Israelis of doubting their loyalty?

I don’t care what these treasonous, Jew hating Israeli-Arabs say, they will be known by their acts: They ARE disloyal and should be removed from office immediately!
