Political Cartoons by Eric Allie

So, in the race for Texas Governor, it would seem as though the political party most commonly associated with the left side of the aisle has once again come up with that, “charismatic 15 minutes of fame for pulling some form of protest shtick,” candidate, without of course bothering to vet the true life story of said candidate. Going back just the past four years, we have Richard Blumenthal who remembers a trip to South East Asia that he not only never took, but that his true life’s story included a massively orchestrated effort and some political favors by well connected family friends to avoid having taken. That however is just a warm up act for the top two contenders in the fuzzy life story sweepstakes.

This is especially fun for me to point out to those who belong in the, “women are superior to men types,” so eagerly and constantly pointing out that if women ran the world, we’d have no problems because women are less contentious, more honest, more willing to listen, less egotistical, than men. Then we all got treated to that viral video of the left’s next darling, Elizabeth Warren who gave an eloquent while also moronic case for hard core Marxism. She got to where she was because she was able to tout herself as a Native American, a true recipient of the wondrous gift of Affirmative Action. The trouble of course is that she literally is the poster child for what, “white as a snow flake,” means, and stole that slot meant for an actual Native American who might otherwise have filled it were it not taken by Warren. Her defense once found to have been lying was that she actually believed some grand parent’s story that an earlier predecessor had been a member of a tribe from somewhere near Kansas City, and that she might have actually been one thirty-second Indian. Even if every word of her defense, thin gruel that it is, were true, we can call that, “myth busted.”

Now we get Wendy Davis. Her particular 15 minutes came about because she filibustered a done deal vote in the Texas Senate, not having sufficient numbers of her own party win elections to do a darned thing about what it was that she wished to oppose. I am not going to fault her for that. If it were those of us on the other side of an issue, we’d be cheering on who ever it was that filibustered, and indeed many of us have. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz come to mind. I just do not believe that this one action in and of itself qualifies one for the Governorship of a State. Such is the state of the Texas Democrat party though, clinging to any ray of hope, no matter how thin that light seems to be. Davis, in case you haven’t figured it out yet is a sacrificial lamb, put there because she was dumb enough to take this beating for her party, and because the Democrats in general do not wish to have a State where they don’t even bother running a candidate.

A couple of months ago, I read some article at Slate where one of the Democrat Apparatchiks was boasting that they had turned Texas purple, and were working feverishly on blue. They pointed to Wendy Davis as that up and comer who was making all of this possible. (Quit laughing, there’s more to this than Ms. Davis’ boobs, which as we’ll see later on, are what got her those spiffy Harvard degrees.) I partially believed the whole purple thing then, and I can still see it somewhat now. Not because of Wendy Davis, who is what she is, but because of the droves of former Californians who are fleeing the State that they voted into malaise, and looking for work in Texas, which is suddenly in ample supply because Texas had the good sense to be Red for a while now. The problem for the Democrats is that the true narrative of why Texas might have a sudden shift to purplish in election night hue does not exactly paint a complimentary picture of their politics. They need their story spruced up a bit, which is why Wendy Davis was suddenly touted as their darling.

Wendy claimed to be a victim of all things unfair to our young urban youths, who somehow overcame her obstacles and make good for herself, and a family. She threw off the chains of oppression forced upon her by an unfeeling and uncaring society, at least according to the way that she told it, and made it all the way to a Harvard Undergrad, and Law Degree. The truth of her situation, while technically didn’t quite rise to the level of making her a flat out liar, has at least raised some eyebrows and will doubtless be the subject of late night comedic monologues for weeks to come. She had help, not from the state, but from a sucker, whom she convinced to take that matrimonial plunge with her. She let him have the privilege of babysitting her children, and paying in full her tuition, room, and board, while she matriculated a couple of thousand miles away. The day that he wrote the last check for her bills, she gave him the good old, “we’ve grown apart,” speech. She must have looked simply stunning in a bikini for her former husband to have been that stupid, and looking at her wearing that bikini would be my guess as to the full extent of marital satisfaction received for his money.

I can’t help but feel that there is something deeper here though. There must be some other lesson that I can take from all of this. I’ve heard this theme a lot recently, that Democrats go for the jugular, and Republicans are prone to writing strongly worded letters. We on the political right hold truth to be an objective thing, and absolute, while the political left seems to feel that truth is itself a subjective sort of phenomenon, and one that can differ for each and every person alive. You see, if Wendy Davis believes that she is something other than a gold digging prostitute who found a freakishly gullible sugar daddy with more money than brains, who are we to see it other wise? Don’t point any of this out to Wendy however, she’ll demand that some paraplegic walk a mile in her shoes. That’s what you might call the morally superior toleration of the political left.

Without diminishing Wendy Davis’ adversity, which she did over come, (even if it were by a method that you wish the angels of Karma would force the progenitor of to wear some sort of sign around their neck for utilizing,) it should be noted that Greg Abbott also had to overcome adversity in his life. He after all went on to become a Supreme Court Justice in Texas, and the Attorney General of that State after he lost the use of his legs. Somehow, I believe that Abbott would be willing to trade shoes for that mile walk of Wendy’s. (A wheelchair bound bikini wearing babe might not have been able to sucker such a wealthy sugar daddy, capable of sending her to matriculate in Boston.) I have yet to read a single article however about how Greg Abbott has utilized his handicap as a campaign device.

The reason for this is simple. For those of us on the right, we seek to sway opinion through battle in the arena of ideas. Our weapons are fact, logic, debate, evidence, and thought. For those who live life on the left, they seek to sway opinion through spin, narrative, emotion, envy, and fear. Enter the candidacies of Wendy Davis, Elizabeth Warren, and Richard Blumenthal, nothing if not consistent with the values of those whom they represent.

Abortionist gives up abortion instruments to Pope Francis

Pope Francis is taking a page from Jesus and the apostles, by convincing sinners of the error of their ways. Instead of condemning people, the Pope is trying to change people’s hearts. In another example of the effectiveness of this strategy, an abortionist gives up his practice and hands the Pope, his abortion equipment.

ROME, October 1, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A former abortionist’s far-fetched dream of surrendering the medical instruments with which he had once performed abortions to Pope Francis became a reality recently, when, to his astonishment, Dr. Antonio Oriente found himself face to face with the pontiff.

In a testimony posted to Facebook, Dr. Antonio Oriente expresses his surprise at the encounter, explaining that he had originally decided not to go to Rome for a conference of gynecologists to which he was invited, because of a father-in-law in “grave health” and the fact that there was no guarantee he could even see the pope personally. But at the last minute, he changed his mind.

[….]

Upon arriving in Rome, more obstacles appeared, with little chance of speaking directly to the pope. But at the last possible moment, following the pope’s speech, Oriente said he told a bishop his story. This bishop, whom he did not name, spoke directly with “Padre George,” Archbishop Georg Ganswein, who brought him before the pope “immediately, without hesitation.”

Oriente handed the package of instruments to the pope, who, he says, “gave me the mandate to evangelize the pro life [message] and to defend life itself.”

Pope Francis, he said, told him, “This evening I will pray. This [the instruments] I have to bring with me to my room to Santa Marta.”

“Then he laid his hands on me, and said, ‘You are blessed and fight for life.”

Oriente said, “The instruments of death were abandoned at the foot of the successor of Peter in the world, as death is put at the feet of Jesus in favor of life.”

This is how you change minds, on abortion by showing compassion and forgiveness.

The Radical Abortion agenda of Andrew Cuomo

One of the scariest politicians in America today is NY Governor Andrew Cuomo.  He supports gun confiscations and the anger in his speeches would put Il Duce to shame. He started out as a Conservative Democrat, taking on the Public Sector Unions and balancing the budgets. After the 2012 election, Cuomo has interpreted that as a mandate for Progressive governance, he has gone Hard Left.

Andrew Cuomo’s newest initiative is removing any restrictions on abortion. He wants to get rid of adoption alternatives and make all abortions paid for with tax dollars.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo seeks to impose a radical new abortion regime on the state, one that goes far beyond the euphemistic byword “choice.” The bill would in fact limit many choices, for instance the choice of Catholic hospitals and other institutions with moral objections to decline to allow abortions to be performed in their facilities. It would limit the choices of organizations that counsel pregnant women if their counseling were held to be insufficiently enthusiastic about abortion. It would limit the choices of organizations that seek to help women in crisis without involving themselves in the politics of abortion.

The anodyne-sounding “Reproductive Health Act” is a very bad proposal indeed. Where it regulates, it regulates the wrong parties in the wrong way. But it also deregulates with equal disregard: It would among other things allow persons other than physicians to perform abortions.

[….]

Governor Cuomo’s bill is not about easing access to abortion — those bloody skids already are well-greased. The issue is political domination. The abortion party does not brook resistance, and it steadfastly seeks to ensure that everybody has a hand in its grisly business: taxpayers, employers, priests. All must be implicated. If a religious hospital declines to provide abortions, then it must be forced to do so. If a counseling center treats adoption as preferable to abortion, it will either change its mind or have its mind changed for it by the gentle persuasion of the State of New York.

Like the abortion provisions in the Patient Protection Act, Governor Cuomo’s proposal is a gross assault on individual liberties. The free exercise of religion requires that institutions not be forced to violate their precepts and their consciences; freedom of speech means that counseling services must be free to express their views, regardless of whether those views are welcome in Albany. Even those who support the right to abortion ought to be able to appreciate that “choice” also applies to those who do not wish to provide abortions, to house abortionists, or to finance them.

As someone who believes Social Issues should be determined at the State Level, I have no beef with NY doing abortion on demand. I live in Florida and would oppose any type of law of this nature here, but this is bigger than NY. Andrew Cuomo is one of the names mentioned for the Democrat nod in 2016. This is why he is taking Hard left on social issues. because he is NY Governor, this gives him access to the media, many of whom are based in NYC. They will hype Andrew Cuomo and he could very well get the Democrat nomination.

Some may say that Cuomo would have no chance at the Democratic nomination in 2016. I disagree with that analysis. He’s based in a big media market that has national influence. Although Cuomo is White, he’s Sicilian and not Anglo. This  would allow him to play up his ethnic heritage and play the minority role. He’s hard left on social issues, which would rally the media and entertainment industry to him.

The factors I listed above would make Andrew Cuomo formidable for the Democrat nomination. Once he gets the Democratic Nod, he would be the odds on favorite as any Democrat would be for the general election. That is what is at work behind this abortion law and why it merits national attention. Cuomo is a Fascist and would be a danger to this nation as President.

Opposition to Immigration reform led by Eugenicist Enviornmental extremists

by Phantom Ace ( 7 Comments › )

In the current immigration debate, opposition to reform is being led by groups like Numbers USA. Many Conservatives have rallied to these groups because of their stances against illegal immigration and even legal immigration. It turns out these groups are not Conservatives. They are Progressive Environmentalist extremists who support abortion and sterilization. The Republican Party is now preparing to expose these Progressive nutjobs.

Much of the party’s sharp language on immigration during the election campaign, which Republican strategists blamed for alienating Hispanics, was drawn from the research and rhetoric of the groups advocating tougher measures to discourage illegal immigration.

Now, Republicans pushing the party to rethink its approach to the issue are accusing those groups — Numbers USA, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), and the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) — of masquerading as conservative. Critics say the groups and some of their supporters are pressing an unorthodox agenda of strict population control that also has included backing for abortion, sterilization and other policies at odds with conservative ideology.

“If these groups can be unmasked, then the bulk of the opposition to immigration reform on the conservative side will wither away,” said Alfonso Aguilar, executive director of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles and a leading organizer of the effort.

[….]

Conservatives who are taking on the groups, including Rubio, anti-tax activist Grover Norquist and officials of the Catholic Church, argue that the three organizations are motivated by far different philosophies than many of their Republican allies realize. Among those views: that population growth from increased migration threatens the environment.

[….]

Kevin Appleby, director of immigration policy for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, said in an e-mail to The Washington Post that “pro-life legislators should think twice about working with these groups, as their underlying goals are inconsistent with a pro-life agenda.”

[….]

The critics, however, argue that the three groups have misled conservatives. These critics point to reports on the FAIR and Numbers USA Web sites, for instance, that warn of environmental devastation from unchecked population growth, and they are circulating a 1993 report by CIS researchers sympathetic to contraception and the RU-486 abortion pill.

In the latest issue of the Human Life Review, an antiabortion journal, Hispanic GOP strategist Lopez accuses the groups of “hijacking” the immigration debate for their own purposes. He argues that population-control advocates “have built, operated, and funded much of the anti-immigration movement in the United States.”

[….]

The article has created a stir in conservative circles. It ascribes the vision behind the groups to John Tanton, a controversial Michigan-based leader in the “zero population growth” movement, who co-founded FAIR in 1979 and later helped start Numbers USA and CIS.

In a 2001 letter by Tanton being circulated as part of the current campaign, he laid out his idea to “move the battle lines on the immigration question in our favor” by convincing Republican lawmakers that “massive immigration imperils their political future.” The goal, he wrote, was to “change Republicans’ perception of immigration so that when they encounter the word ‘immigrant,’ their reaction is ‘Democrat.’ ” Organizers of the campaign against the groups found the letter at the University of Michigan’s Bentley Historical Library, which houses Tanton’s papers.

Here is a website that exposes Numbers USA and others as supporting the agenda of planned parenthood, population control and Eugenics.

It is often difficult to swallow facts, when your political positions are keeping you from seeing clearly. The truth is that many Conservatives who typically are pro-life, are locking arms with pro-abortion Anti-Immigration Organizations. Immigration may be a sound political policy to debate, but we MUST be careful we do not grow what we typically view as a population control and eugenics mentality.

What I would like to do, is offer a small bit of research on organizations like: Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR),The Pioneer Fund, Numbers USA, and Planned Parenthood – showing you connections they all have in common.

Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)

If you take a simple look at their history and their website you will note that many on FAIR’s board are former Planned Parenthood members and leaders, abortion clinic workers, and Zero Population Control Activists ! Just Google John Tanton– FAIR’S founder and see his links to Planned Parenthood in Michigan- In Fact, FAIR’s board member, Sarah G. Epstein, now serves on Planned Parenthood’s board in Washington. Epstein also serves on the Pathfinder International board founded by eugenics financeer, Clarence Gamble. In fact, Epstein is the daughter of Gamble, and as she serves on Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR’s) Board : According to the North Carolina Winston-Salem Journal, “Gamble helped found the Human Betterment League of North Carolina in 1947 to promote eugenic sterilization, and Journal research shows a long history of abuses in the N.C. sterilization program – abuses that Gamble consistently glossed over..” One major eugenics promoter which Gamble linked up with was Margaret Sanger.

Conservatives who oppose any Immigration reform have a right to do so. But they should not ally with groups who support Environmental extremism and abortion based Eugenics. NumbersUSA is an Agenda 21 Tranzi Progressive organization that seeks to reduce the total population of the US. They only oppose illegal and legal immigration as a first step in reducing America’s population. They then want to promote abortion and sterilization to achieve Population control. These groups are nothing but Environmentalist nutjobs. Conservatives should not associate with these Progressive loons.
