It has been a year since the senseless Islamic massacre in Mumbai, India and the horrible anti-semitic massacre against those in the Chabad House.  From the Chabad website commemorating this tragedy:

In the course of their short lives, Rabbi Gavriel and Rivkah Holtzberg, Chabad emissaries in Mumbai, India, radiated love, kindness and inspiration to their surroundings.

With their cruel murder by forces of darkness, their light exploded into a million points of light that now illuminate across the globe.

Click their picture for a video regarding their lives, their kindness, and their mission.

Although the Holzberg’s murder is the most famous from that day, they unfortunately were not alone.  Also, needlessly murdered at the Chabad House where Bentzion Kruman (Rabbi), Yocheved Orpaz (Grandmother), Norma Shvartzblat Rabinovich, Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Teitelbaum (Father of 8).

Those who wish to deny the particularity of Islam to these types of horric events tend to pass blame on all religion.  Anyone being honest however knows the uncomfortable truth that this is not the case – all religions are not equal.  The following is one, of many similar  Jewish responses to the the murder of the Holtzergs.  There were no Jewish retribution killings of innocents, no riots, no Embassy attacks, no calls for international holy war…

This is an open thread…but one in their memory of the victims of Islamic terrorism in Mumbai, India one year ago, and the memory of the thousands of innocent people unecessarily murdered by Islamic Terrorism and hatred throughout the ages.

During interrogation, Mumbai’s Islamic Terrorists Admit That Their Core Mission Was To Attack The Chabad Nariman House.

INDIA (DNA.COM)  Think 26/11, and images of the carnage at the Taj come to mind. But the terrorists themselves were in no doubt that Nariman House was the prime focus. For this was the place which housed a Jewish centre, and the fanatics from Pakistan were clear that they wanted to send a message to the world from there.

The Mumbai crime branch, which is investigating the terror attacks, has found that the terrorists’ handlers in Pakistan were clear this operation should not fail under any circumstances. The rest of the operations — at the Taj, Oberoi and Chhattrapati Shivaji Terminus — were intended to amplify the effect.

A senior police official, told DNA on condition of anonymity, that the interrogation of Mohammed Amir Iman Ajmal (aka Kasab) revealed as much. Just before entering the city, the terrorists’ team leader, Ismail Khan, briefed them once again about their targets. “But Khan briefed Imran Babar, alias Abu Akasha, and Nasir, alias Abu Umer, intensely on what to do at Nariman House,” the officer said.

When asked during interrogation why Nariman House was specifically targetted, Ajmal reportedly told the police they wanted to sent a message to Jews across the world by attacking the ultra orthodox synagogue.

According to the statement by Ajmal, Khan told Babar and Nasir that even if the others failed in their operation, they both could not afford to. “The Nariman House operation has to be a success,” the officer said, quoting from Ajmal’s statement.

I found this interesting link which gives us people of faith a reason for heretics and atheists.

Here is the 1st paragraph:

Thank G‑d for atheists. If not for their scorn, how shallow our god would be! As one chassidic master told his disciple in reference to a certain heretic, “His heresy is closer to the truth than your faith.”
