Another Flying Pig Moment!

Look! Up In The Sky!

HAVANA – Fidel Castro told a visiting American journalist that Cuba’s communist economic model doesn’t work, a rare comment on domestic affairs from a man who has conspicuously steered clear of local issues since stepping down four years ago.
The fact that things are not working efficiently on this cash-strapped Caribbean island is hardly news. Fidel’s brother Raul, the country’s president, has said the same thing repeatedly. But the blunt assessment by the father of Cuba’s 1959 revolution is sure to raise eyebrows.
Jeffrey Goldberg, a national correspondent for The Atlantic magazine, asked if Cuba’s economic system was still worth exporting to other countries, and Castro replied: The Cuban model doesn’t even work for us anymore*,” Goldberg wrote Wednesday in a post on his Atlantic blog.
He said Castro made the comment casually over lunch following a long talk about the Middle East, and did not elaborate. The Cuban government had no immediate comment on Goldberg’s account.

Shocked, I tell you. SHOCKED!
What’s going on here? First, Comrade Fidel told Mr. Dinner Jacket to lay off the Jews, and now this. He must know something we don’t: 1) He’s about to die, 2) The SHTF is about to occur, or 3) His recent near-death experiences may have shown him a new light on things. Who knows.

Castro Praises Obama’s UN Speech

When America’s enemies start praising Obama, this should send up red flags. Totalitarian Progressive icon, Fidel Castro, is praising Obama for his blaming of America for the lack of action regarding “Climate Change”.  In fact, Obama’s speech was typical Progressive anti-Americanism.  If another world leader had made the speech Obama did, the American delegation would have walked out.

Castro loves that we have a self hating American as President, this is his dream!

HAVANA — Barack Obama’s call for action on climate change and his admission that rich nations have a particular responsibility to lead has received strong praise from an unusual source — U.S. nemesis Fidel Castro.

The former Cuban leader on Wednesday called the American president’s speech at the United Nations “brave” and said no other American head of state would have had the courage to make similar remarks.

In a speech at the United Nations on Tuesday, Obama acknowledged that the United States had been slow to act on climate change, but said Washington was now prepared to be a full partner as the world confronts the threat.

He said developed nations that have caused much of the climate change the planet has suffered have a “responsibility to lead,” but added that rapidly growing nations must do their part as well.

That admission of America’s past errors “was without a doubt a brave gesture,” Castro wrote in comments published by Cuban state-media Wednesday.

This is disturbing and should get all Americans angry.  Clearly Obama views himself above America, and is a pure Tranzi.  He constantly attacks his own nation and sucks up to our enemies.

To me this is not a shocker. I have written before on the links between Castro and Obama. They are both members of the Transnationalist Totalitarian Progressive Movement and are cut from the same cloth.

Cuban Court Upholds Two Year Sentence For Protesting

To many on the left, Communist Cuba and its’ leader-for-life, Fidel Castro, are roll models.

Back in April of this year three U.S. Congresspeople met with Fidel and came back singing his praises.  During the campaign, Obama stated that he would be willing to meet with Castro, and during his Presidency has eased travel restrictions against Cuba. We also cannot forget the official Obama campaign office that proudly displayed the Cuban flag with “Che” Guevara on it.

The adulation however isn’t only among Democrat politicians.  It is very well reported that very famous liberals (including Michael Moore, and  Oliver Stone) have gone on record praising and defending Fidel Cuba.

In their drive to bash the United States, and prop up a dictator the don’t seem to mind that despite a public personal vow of poverty, Fidel Castro is apparently worth $900 million while his citizens starve, or that he jails political dissenters as a policy.

HAVANA (AP) – A Cuban appeals court upheld a two-year prison sentence for “public dangerousness” against a man who became an Internet celebrity after his drunken rant about hunger on the island was captured by a film crew.

The court rejected Juan Carlos Gonzalez Marcos’ plea for leniency in central Havana on Thursday, according to Richard Rosollo, who observed the hearing on behalf of the Havana-based Cuban Commission on Human Rights and National Reconciliation, a leading rights group.

Gonzalez Marcos, known by the nickname Panfilo, appeared obviously inebriated when he burst into an interview for a documentary on Cuban music, waving his arms and screaming, “What we need here is a little bit of chow!”

He continued for more than 90 seconds, imploring the camera about how Cubans are going hungry in a country where the communist system is supposed to provide for all citizens’ basic needs.

Video of the tirade ended up on YouTube and was viewed more than 450,000 times after being posted in April. It became a rallying cry for exile groups in South Florida, where some hailed Gonzalez Marcos as one of the few Cubans who dare speak frankly about the difficulties of daily life on the island.

In a second video posted on YouTube, Gonzalez Marcos expressed regret that his outburst was used for political ends—but that wasn’t enough to sway the appeals court. Rosollo said Gonzalez Marcos was returned to a prison outside Havana after the hearing.

Obama Refuses To Meet With Benjamin Netanyahu

He has no problem chumming around with Hugo Chavez, meeting with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad no matter what he does or says, bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia, hiding 200 million dollars in a supplemental to go to Hamas, lunching with Edward Said, or extending a hand to Cuba, but President Obama refuses to meet with Israel’s Prime Minister during his visit to the United States.

If anyone still had any doubt, Obama is making his allegiances very clear.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday canceled his plans to attend the upcoming AIPAC summit, after it became clear that US President Barack Obama would not meet him during the conference.

Netanyahu announced that while he will not attend the conference in person, he will send a video-taped message to Washington.

Army Radio reported that the prime minister asked President Shimon Peres to represent Israel at the summit, scheduled to take place in Washington in the beginning of May.

According to the radio station, sources in the president’s bureau confirmed that Peres had received a request from Netanyahu and AIPAC officials to attend the summit, but noted that the president had not yet decided whether to accept the invitation.

I guess you have to be an enemy of the United States to get any respect from this present Administration.  (As we found out early in his term, that meant no time for American soldiers as well).   It is looking more and more prophetic everyday what Ali Abunimah from The Electronic Intifada, said on March 4, 2007 about Obama’s pretending to be a friend of Israel just to get elected (and I guess now just to lull his naive Pro-Israel supporters into complacently).

This is a Government that said it likes to hear from its citizens.  I say you contact them and let them know how you feel.
