Glad to find this site. I went to LGF after a long absence and thought I’d landed in Oz. I got slammed on my first post at lgf. There are some really great posters at lgf, but some are just plain nasty. Opposing views are not welcome.
Charles does seem to be totally against religion. I think he is an atheist.
I do enjoy reading the blog and post once in a while, but I watch what I say. It is his blog so I follow the rules, but I’d like to find one that that is more open minded.

And yet so many religious jewish folks STAY there and support him. For a long while I noticed that you could trash christianity, even call the pope a nazi, (heck, I got in an all day flame war about how I hated jews because I stood up for the former pope, and I’m not even catholic!) but someone just had to CALL you antisemetic and you suddenly were.

VERY one sided, and yet they don’t see that their leader is opposed to the very religion that they hold to so dearly. His buddy/buddy nature with Killgore Trout makes that woefully clear.

He banned more than christians I think he banned alot of Jews as well. Anyone that believes in G-d is a victim to Charles with the new banning stick. I could look the other way but I have family that reads LGF and is voting for Obama. They are in a swing state too. I think charles soft stance on Obama is unforgivable. I never was much of a reader of LGF. For a while, I tried to register so I could comment, but it was maddeningly restricted, unlike every other discussion forum I have ever visited.

I am not “in the know” as many here are about LGF, and some of the references I see to people and tactics just fly by me.

I have been a close reader of Jihad Watch for at least two years, and find it to be my major source of news about Islam.

I have two questions for the people who started this counter-blog:

1) Are you replicating all the news stories that are presented over at LGF?

2) Has Charles Johnson threatened you for some type of copyright infringement or theft of “intellectual property” or anything (not only for the replication of news stories but also for the names you have, etc.)?

I don’t work on this site, but my question is how does he own the “intellectual property” of news stories he has copied from other sources?

And the names? What does that have to do with Charles? He didn’t pick them.

Many of us met at Chuckies, and moved on. Some started blogs, and my friend nuke gingrich started one, as did my friends at Gulf Coast Pundit.
I understand the animous for the lgf owner, and his bizarre approach to things. His time has passed.
I would like to offer a few suggestions, if you would bear with me.
First, this blogs name. I don’t know about others, but for me, when it’s time to move on, I leave it all behind. Lgf is dead to me, I won’t even click on his links I find at other sites. Taking ownership of your own blog, and naming it to suit you would be beneficial, instead of some weirdos snot balls. Even though you have a “2″ after the name, it still kind of creeps me out whenever I click here.

Secondly, have you considered some of the different formats available at word press? The narrow comment column is difficult to read, and I have to scroll too often. WP has a variety of formats available. Perhaps try some different ones, and ask for feedback from your readers. I contribute at nuke’s, which has just been renamed, since B-HO won the election. It is now L.O.M.A.(Loyal Opposition My Ass) I also contribute to Urban Grounds, based in Austin, Tx. Take a look see at the different formats, and features, and consider readability, compared to this format.

Lastly, if your intent is to be a watchdog on what Chucky does or says, that is your choice. While it has been refreshing to read some of the rants, and to vent some myself, this will eventually grow old. You can pursue your own interests, and still whack him with a clue-bat, from time to time.
Be of good cheer, and don’t let that pony-tailed bastid get you down.

Infidel Pride, I don’t see any need for this blog to adopt a new and different mission. Seeing how big LGF is still, and how big of a mess it is, and the potential for more and more of its hangers-on to free themselves from it, I think this counter-blog here has a good many months if not more of a worthwhile mission just doing what it’s doing. I’m a believer in “division of labor” (one of my justifications for spending as much time as I did with “Jihad Watch Watch”), since there are different tasks to do.

You can have more than one domain name for a single web site. You just set up a redirect.
Using the current name has the advantage that it will be picked up by the search engines along with the other place. Anyone searching for his site, will also find yours. You will also turn up on various blog lists alongside his. So you will draw ex posters from there and also intercept people who would otherwise have discovered his site first. That way, they’ll know what they’re getting into. If LGF2 had existed, I might never have joined LGF.
