Investigative Journalism at Pundit Press: Albania has One of the Largest Kosovan Populations on Earth!

Posted by Julia Gorin on Republican Riot March 7, 2011 03:49:52 PM, reprinted with permission

The only encouraging aspect about the Frankfurt incident is the way it was reported. Mainstream news people made no bones about using words not only such as “Muslim” and “Allahu Akbar,” but even “Albanian Muslim”; “from Kosovo” and “Kosovo citizen.” It’s possible that our media are getting a clearer sense of what’s where, and who’s where, and who’s what. Which means that eventually the American public might figure out whom they were fighting for and against in 1999. Which happened to be our most recent pre-9/11 war that everyone seems to have forgotten and treats like ancient history.

In other words, the recent flurry of news concerning Albanian activity is going to help Americans sort out who’s who and what’s what from the Balkans, at least as it relates to us, which is probably as much as can be hoped for. Only then might there be any kind of public embarrassment of our policymakers who stubbornly refuse to change track. The past few months alone have provided quite an education on the region: murder-for-organs, rigged elections, witness-killing, high-level government people on trial in Kosovo and here, the would-be terrorist in Maryland, the Frankfurt shooter, plus the guy flooding the prison in Greenwich, the Michigan rapists, the Trafalgar Square brawl and the theft of this woman’s toilet.

But trying to sort out who’s what on its own for now is a blog called Pundit Press — which made a cute little attempt last week. The bloggers thought they may have scooped the world and found the shooter’s Facebook page (it ended up being the wrong Uka), but look at the reasoning used by these poor souls trying to play Balkan sleuths, struggling to put two and two together:

…Through investigative journalism, Pundit Press now believes that it may have found his Facebook page…Of course, if this in not him, we apologize, but there are three reasons why this could be his profile. First, and least convincing, is that the man in his profile picture seems to be about the age of 21.

Second, Uka was identified as Kosovan. Albania has one of the largest Kosovan populations on earth.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Now look closely at the necklace around Uka’s neck.

It is that of the Albanian flag.

Third, Uka’s profile says that he is using Facebook in “Shqip.” That is the language of “Albanian,” one that many Kosovans speak natively.

That is, someone with an Albanian flag around his neck could be a Kosovan (imagine that!). Because, in case you didn’t know, Albania has ONE of the largest KOSOVAN POPULATIONS on EARTH!

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Let me see if I can stop laughing long enough to explain something to the “investigative journalists” at Pundit Press.

Aside from the fact that there is no ethnic or national identity as “Kosovan” (that’s why they wave the Albanan flag and not the Kosovan flag except to occasionally oblige their international overseers) — it’s not Albania that has Kosovans, but Kosovo that has Albanians. That’s what Kosovans are: Albanians. Albanians crossed into Serbia illegally over the course of a couple centuries, and claimed this Albania-adjacent Serbian land as their own.

But one does wonder where the ‘other’ large Kosovan population centers on earth are? I’m assuming they know that one of them is Kosovo? In fact, that would be the only one.

As for Albanian being a language that “many Kosovans speak natively,” it is in fact the language that ALL Kosovans speak, since they are Albanian. (Technicalities about the fast disappearing non-Albanian residents of Kosovo aside, which include Serbs, Roma, Gorani and others.)

And there’s nothing native about the language, since these foreigners cleansed most of the natives, known as Serbs. The native tongue, now all but illegal, is called Serbian.

Now, considering that this information has been widely available to Americans since at least 12 years ago, when the “Kosovans”/Albanians/non-natives first got onto our yahoo-level radars, this part of the ‘investigation’ shouldn’t have proven so difficult to get right.

(The whole thing reminds me of this poor Greenwich, CT reporter who together with local police listed the origin of the man who flooded the police station as “Kosovo, Albania” — all of which is in Serbia, apparently.)

More problematic but less entertaining than the comedy of Balkan errors by Pundit Press, however, was its word-for-word-predictable closing paragraph, as if lifted from the Handbook on How to Defend Albanians when One has Attacked us Again:

It must be noted that Albanians and Kosovars tend to be very pro-American…We cannot paint ethnic Albanians as extremists, especially considering their rejection of al Qaeda and radical Islam in the 1990s– even as Serbs attempted to wipe out their population in Kosovo.

Now, here is where a little more “investigation” — uncovering long-disclosed information — could have helped the poor souls at Pundit Press. I’ll assist with the investigation about all that rejection of al Qaeda and assorted mujahedeen, by providing the embedded links I’ve just provided. And here’s something to help get to the bottom of the truth of the Serbian attempt to “wipe out” the Kosovo population.

I’ll also trace back over my own steps to enlighten these indefatigable sleuths about the nature of the Albanian AND “Kosovar” pro-Americanism, which culminates in the following simple analogy: Say I wanted my neighbor’s house, and you killed him for me — I’d love you for at least a couple decades.

A note about this ubiquitous, repetitive warding-off of any potential temptation by Americans to malign Albanians in general every time another one of them does something bad: Notice there are no such moral dilemmas — and certainly no such pleas — on behalf of Serbs when they are unequivocally maligned — while *not* killing Americans. (I think we’ve just figured out what the Serbs have been doing wrong.)

Just like the determination by the 9/11 Commission that Bosnia was the catalyst which globalized jihad and al Qaeda led the Commission to conclude that the solution is we must do even more to help Bosnian Muslims. Similarly, the ‘thinking’ that went into our decision to help the KLA was that we had to help make sure they didn’t turn to Islamists for help. But the Islamists helped regardless (see links in relevant section above) — and they’re still “helping,” with very effective results. Given the current world trend, and increasing evidence, it seems all we did was merely put off the inevitable.

Meanwhile, don’t ask the PP sleuths to notice the striking coincidence that the side that’s been designated by their government as the enemy is the side that receives their unqualified contempt, with no care given to words used. While the side designated by their government as “friend” and “victim” is the side they’re defending and telling you not to offend when its members kill Americans.

The additional irony of course is that the Albanians they’re defending not only aren’t bothered by the universal demonization of Serbs and don’t say or write anything to qualify it, but they are in fact the originators of the falsehoods and blood libels against the Serbs. Yet they have the nerve to cry foul if someone should dare say or write something disparaging of them as a people — and this amid unflattering news.

Serbs have been coping in the face of worldwide hatred and enmity for two decades — manifested daily in newspapers regardless of what contrary realities assert themselves — but Albanians have a hard time coping with even one writer catching on to their game. One supposes it’s harder to take when there’s a grain (or more) of truth to it.

The 1389 Blog posted the following response to the PP people (links added):

…Serbs never attempted to wipe out the ethnic Albanian population in Kosovo….On the contrary, Kosovo was formerly majority Serb. That changed when the Albanian Muslims fought on the side of the Nazis. The Muslim incursion during the Third Reich and during the Communist Tito regime expropriated and displaced many Serbs. In fact, Serbs in Kosovo have been under attack from Albanian Muslims ever since that time. [Much earlier, actually.] While I would argue that Serbs should have the same right to defend their land and people as anybody else has, under the Tito regime and afterward, they were forbidden to do anything to protect their lives and property from attacks by Albanian Muslims or anyone else. As a result, many Serbs were forced to flee from Kosovo. By 1999, Serbs had been reduced to a small minority in Kosovo. The government of what was then Yugoslavia (now Serbia) did nothing to expel the Albanian Muslims from Kosovo.

The mainstream media in the US and Europe, and the Clinton Administration, essentially blood-libeled the entire Serbian people as an excuse to go to war on behalf of the Muslims in the Balkans. Their reason for doing that was a failed effort to appease the Saudis and other Muslim oil interests, some of whom considered the First Gulf War to be an unacceptable intrusion of “infidels” into the Muslim ummah.

Considering the evils perpetrated by Albanian Muslims in Kosovo – everything from heroin and weapons smuggling, organizing terrorist attacks, trafficking in women and girls for brothel slavery, to kidnapping and butchering Serbs for their organs – it IS high time that all Muslims be expelled from Kosovo and sent back to their homes in Albania, whence they came. They DO have homes and families and tribes in Albania, and they have moved into Kosovo simply because Albania is a misgoverned and corrupt post-Communist cesspool. It is up to them to clean up the mess in Albania rather than spreading it into the historic homeland of the Serbian people.

So back to Frankfurt. What will be our response? More favors for Kosovo’s KLA leaders? More political protection for Kosovo? More stories about imaginary genocides by Serbs?

I’ll close with a letter from a Serb in Montenegro:

…Additionally perplexing to me is the fact that Albanians are repaying the United States by killing US soldiers, even after the US government has illegally waged war on their behalf against Serbia and is illegally occupying Kosovo to this day. You don’t see Serbs running around killing Americans, or anyone else for that matter.

Finally, what disgusts me more than anything else, is the complacency of the corporate media, which continue to satanize Christian Serbs to this day for invented and false crimes, while portraying all Serb enemies (Bosnian Muslims, Croat Neo-nazis and Albanian Muslims) as helpless victims.

Americans, be warned! There will be more Albanian Muslim attacks to come! [Yugoslavia] welcomed Albanians fleeing poverty and repression from Albania into Serbia’s southern Kosovo province. [They were] provided with free health care, free education and even education in their Albanian language in public schools. Once the Albanians established themselves in Kosovo, the Serbs were repaid by getting murdered, raped, terrorized in every possible way and finally completely expelled from Kosovo.

I empathize with the American people, and pray that the American people will smarten up and hold their corporate politicians and corporate media accountable for their self-serving treachery and treasonous actions. The sooner this happens, the sooner the world will become a better place and the occupation of Kosovo will end.

Note the rather charitable attitude toward Americans — even after all that U.S. foreign policy has rained down upon the Serbs. And see if you still find Albanian “pro-Americanism” more trustworthy.

So keep the atrocity porn coming about what the Serbs allegedly once did to their enemies, while those enemies stay busy now killing Americans.

Rolling Stone is a Seditious Rag

First of all…

It is long past time for us to decide exactly what we are fighting for in Afghanistan. And when it comes to that, the infamous lefty rag, Rolling Stone, does all it can to add to the confusion.

Awhile back, Rolling Stone caused a major brouhaha by exposing the internal dissention between Gen. McChrystal and the Obama Administration regarding the war in Afghanistan. Though the problems were real, the intent of Rolling Stone was to undermine our military and thereby help our enemies.

To give the devil his due, the US was, and is, on a self-defeating path. I would be the first to admit that I am no fan of the way in which the war in Afghanistan is being fought. The difference is that Rolling Stone wants the US, and Judaeo-Christian civilization, to lose the war against the jihad, while I want us to win.

I am fundamentally opposed to the Wilsonian pipe-dream of “nation-building.” No country can bestow give liberty and a functioning civil society to anyone else; they have to be earned, and they can never be earned by a predominantly Muslim population. That is because Islam is not a religion in the sense that we understand it, but rather, it is an expansionist, enemy, totalitarian political philosophy that requires perpetual warfare against unbelievers, and that seeks to rid the world of everything but itself. Any people espousing Islam cannot govern themselves without bringing in a totalitarian system of shari’a law. They regard it as sinful to do otherwise. Enacting this as part of a new constitution simply sets it in stone. The new constitutions enacted under US hegemony in both Afghanistan and Iraq are specifically Islamic and implement shari’a law. Why did we send our troops to fight for this?

The purpose of warfare is to defeat enemies so that they cannot and will not do us any further harm. It will always be beyond our power as a nation to turn foreign evildoers into decent human beings.

The current US “rules of engagement” (ROE) are nothing short of suicidal. It makes no sense to run what amounts to a day care center for our enemies who are stuck in a mindset that reflects the worst that the seventh century has to offer. Our enemies (including those who are supposedly “civilian”) do not play by any rules whatsoever, while our side is hogtied by rules that make it impossible to retaliate effectively or even to protect our own troops from enemy attack.

Rolling Stone beclowns itself again

Rolling Stone has made one more attempt to undermine and smear the US military in Afghanistan. But it turns out that they believed an ex-officer who is, to put it bluntly, an openly adulterous, self-promoting, and disloyal ignoramus. So now Rolling Stone has egg on its face.

Big Peace: Psyops on Senators in Afghanistan? Not Hardly

Posted by Jim Hanson Feb 28th 2011 at 4:34 am

…Rolling Stone is out hunting for Generals again and they have found a willing dupe in LTC Michael Holmes. Although calling him a dupe is unfair, he is a willing participant in this grotesque farce. Let’s tee this up in case you missed it. He claims that while on the staff of LTG Caldwell in Afghanistan he was tasked with coming up with ways to influence the opinions of visiting Senators. Seriously, that’s it. The massive outcry from the media was over something that anyone with an above room temperature IQ, including the Senators, knew happens all the time. The problem is that Holmes’ IQ is well below room temperature.

Before we explore the sad little world of LTC Holmes let’s remember that Michael Hastings, the Rolling Stone Jackwagon, also wrote the hit piece that took down Stan McChrystal…

Back now to Holmes. He pitched this story to a newspaper or two, but couldn’t get them to bite. But he threw it at Rolling Stone and it stuck to their wall and obviously fit their agenda. Sadly keeping their rag afloat with tabloid level journalism is their only real option. So we have this spy movie sounding scenario where our Generals are plotting a la Dr. Strangelove and using psychological operations against visiting Senators. The reason they can conjure up this fiendish plot is because of a lack of understanding about Psy Ops, which is one part of Information Operations (IO) and the separate field of Public Affairs (PA). The simplest explanation is IO works to affect the enemy and the theater of operations and PA tells our stories to Americans and the press. Holmes was part of the IO staff and so normally he would have been working on information aimed at the enemy. But the mission he was part of on LTG Caldwell’s staff was to train the Afghan Army, so there was no need for IO operations. Consequently LTC Holmes was given a new assignment, part of which involved helping influence the opinions of visiting Senators.

…Holmes was sent home from Afghanistan in disgrace for multiple violations of orders and military law. Even worse, he was planning on cashing in on his experience with a civilian strategic communications company he had formed with a female officer who worked directly for him. That cunning plan crashed and burned when he and this officer, MAJ Laural Levine, made such a public nuisance of their “inappropriate relationship” that it became common knowledge among the staff. In addition to that, they were regularly heading off base in civilian clothes and were either weaponless, had surrendered them to the restaurants they frequented, or worse had carried them concealed. The first two are offenses against the General Orders for Afghanistan, the last is a violation of the Laws of Land Warfare. If they had been captured while carrying concealed out on the town, they would have been unlawful combatants.

Now how did we find these things out? Well in addition to being as discrete as Lady Gaga, Holmes is also an ultra maroon (yes I just quoted Bugs Bunny). He posted photos of he and his “far-too-intimate-female-associate” on Facebook. Then they go ahead and flirt like Junior High Schoolers in the comments while discussing photos that show them violating their orders. That’s right, a guy and gal who think they are smart enough to advise the government and corporations on strategic communications, busted themselves out on Facebook…

Read it all.

The bottom line? Never trust Rolling Stone or anything you read in it.

What has been missing from public discourse so far are constructive suggestions about how we should address the very real Islamic threat from a political and military perspective. Counterjihad blogger Sultan Knish offers some excellent ideas:

Canada Free Press: A Fourth Approach to the Muslim World

By Daniel Greenfield – Thursday, July 22, 2010

…The Fourth Way is Accountability and it is simple enough. Stop arguing over who will rule in which Muslim country. That is a decision that only the inhabitants of that country can make. And they won’t make it through elections, so much as through dealmaking among their oligarchy, tribal leaders and occasional outbursts of armed force. It would take a massive project of decades to have any hope of changing that. But we don’t need to. What we need to do is make very clear the consequences of attacking us to whoever is in charge.

Rather than trying to shape their behavior by shaping their political leadership, we can use a much more blunt instrument to unselectively shape all their leaders. A blunt instrument does not mean reconstruction. It doesn’t mean Marines ferrying electrical generators. It doesn’t mean nation building. It means that we will inflict massive devastation on any country that aids terrorists who attack us. If they insist on using medieval beliefs to murder us, we will bomb government buildings, roads, factories and power plants to reduce them back to a medieval state. We will not impose sanctions on them, we will simply take control of their natural resources and remove the native population from the area, as compensation for the expenses of the war.

Accountability means no more aid to tyrants or terrorists, and no grand democracy projects either. It means that we stop trying to pick a side, and just make it clear what happens when our side gets hurt. We gain energy independence and never look back. And when we’ve done that, the Muslim world will no longer be able to play America against Russia, against Asia and Europe. Instead it will suddenly find itself stuck with a predatory Russia looking for an energy monopoly, a booming China expanding into their part of the world, and no Pax Americana to protect them from either one.

America has provided the stability that kept many Muslim countries from imploding. It has protected others directly and indirectly from being conquered more times than anyone realizes. All the treachery and terrorism that has been carried out, has been done under an American umbrella. Now is the time to furl up the umbrella, and let the rain fall where it may.

It will be a cold day indeed, when Russia and China realize that they can do what they like in the Muslim world, without the US to stop them. And a colder day still, when European countries realize that there is nothing standing the way of deporting their insurgent Muslim populations, because the US will not lift a finger to protect them, as it did in Yugoslavia. That is accountability. And in both its active and passive forms it will exact a high price from the enemy, and none from us. To employ it, we must be prepared to use massive force casually without considering any collateral damage. We must achieve energy independence at any cost. And we must be prepared to realize that everything else we have tried has failed. Only by disengaging from the Muslim world, can we ever be free of it.

Putting Chicago in the Rear View Mirror

Where it belongs.

Will Chicago eventually go the way of Detroit to become a sprawling urban ghost town? If current trends persist, then yes. Not only Chicago proper, but also the near suburbs within Cook County, are losing residents apace.

People vote with their feet, or perhaps with their gas pedals. To put it simply, there are fewer and fewer reasons to stay, and more and more reasons to leave.

Enormous, convoluted Burlington Northern freight train wreck, captioned with 'EPIC FAIL: Seriously, just how did you manage to do that?'

I left Chicago years ago, bound and determined to stay away at any cost. The reasons had been building up forever: the endlessly declining job market, the endlessly rising cost of living, the dirt and noise and filth and stench and squalor, the impossible parking and traffic situation, the ill-maintained roads, the unimaginable commute times, the rude and selfish citizenry, the rotten news media, the gang grafitti, the crime rate, the gun laws, the gasoline tax, the sales tax, the other taxes and fees and fines, the stolen elections, the bloodthirsty and crooked Chicago police, and the pervasive corruption in general.

Chicago has been sleazy, crime-ridden, and corrupt ever since it was stolen from the Potawatomi, and it will remain so until they get it back, assuming they would want it. It is flat-out impossible for anyone to hold political office within “Crook County” without being a criminal, and that’s that. Yeah, BHO, I’m talkin’ ’bout YOU.

As if all of that were not enough, there has been a Muslim invasion en masse. This is exemplified by the mosque complex in the south suburbs associated with persons having known terrorist connections, along with various unexplained incidents that were instantly buried by official spokesmen with assurances that “terrorism has been ruled out” – long before anyone could describe what had actually happened.

Logo for campaign against the Chicago bid to host the Olympics: 'CHICAGO 2016: let corruption shine'

And don’t get me started on the loutish arrogance of the entire Daley family. When Richie Daley closed down and bulldozed Meigs Field just because he could, as far as I was concerned, that was it.

The infamous Chicago weather? That’s to be expected, but there’s no excuse for any of the rest.

As far as I am concerned, the only good thing about Chicago is that, for now, there still are a fair number of Serbs and other Orthodox Christians living there. Most likely, within a few decades, just about all of them will have moved on.

I can watch Da Bears from well south of the Mason-Dixon Line, or perhaps even from overseas.

Other than that, fuhgeddaboutit.

Chicago Population Sinks to 1920 Level

(h/t: citizen_q)

By KEVIN HELLIKER

CHICAGO—A larger-than-expected exodus over the past 10 years reduced the population of Chicago to a level not seen in nearly a century.

The U.S. Census Bureau reported Tuesday that during the decade ended in 2010, Chicago’s population fell 6.9% to 2,695,598 people, fewer than the 2.7 million reported back in 1920.

After peaking at 3.62 million people in 1950, Chicago underwent a half century of decline that ended only when the 1990s boom years produced a small gain in the 2000 count. At that time, the city loudly celebrated its comeback.

But the recent recession accelerated a migration both to the metropolitan area’s farthest suburbs and to the Southern U.S. Chicago nonetheless is expected to remain the nation’s third-largest city, behind New York and Los Angeles and just ahead of Houston, for which final census numbers aren’t in yet.

The exodus took a big chunk out of the city’s black population in particular, shrinking it to 887,608 from 1,065,009, according to William Frey, a demographer at the Brookings Institution think tank in Washington.

“The black decline is really powering the city loss,” Mr. Frey said, calling it “part of the great reverse migration to the South.”

Blacks remain the most-populous race in Chicago, Mr. Frey said, while the number of whites fell during the decade by about 52,000 to just under 855,000 and Hispanics’ ranks rose by about 25,000 to just below 780,000.

The population of Cook County, which is dominated by the city of Chicago, fell 3.4% during the decade. But it remained by far the state’s most populous county, with about 5.2 million people.

Update: Sunshine Review: Illinois State Budget

(h/t: Bumr50)

…Illinois’ financial situation is worse than any other state in the country according to a study by the National Conference of State Legislatures. The state ended Fiscal Year 2010 in worse shape than any other state (the state’s general fund balance was the lowest it has ever been at negative $4.7 billion[4]) and the state’s budget situation has been called “tenuous at best.”[5]

Illinois will receive $974 million from the federal government under H.R. 1586, a $26 billion plan to give states money for Medicaid and education that the President signed into law on August 10, 2010.[6]

Gov. Pat Quinn signed a new state budget for FY2011 on July 1, 2010. The state is second only to California’s budget woes in terms of budget woes and is currently facing a $12.8 billion budget shortfall for FY 2010 and 2011, according to a January 2010 study by the Civic Federation. The budget as passed does not come close to erasing the state’s $13 billion deficit, the largest in history.[7]

Some obvious questions come to mind.  Who does Latos think is going to read it? Did he write it right-side up or upside down? And how did the headline writer find out? What is the Salt Lake City UT – Peoria AZ – San Diego CA connection?

Too many questions for hypothetical speculation there, so let’s quietly back away and mosey on over to The Overnight Open Thread.
