Ferrets and Dogs get along very well. They occupy different niches, hence no competition for food. Some Dog breeds tend to go for small game. However Ferrets don’t have fear and when properly introduce, they become the best of friends.

Ferrets are illegal in California (even though the Sacramento legislature is full of them, thus proving the old adage that if ferrets are outlawed only outlaws will have ferrets).
