Pigford Heats Up!

Well, the stove has gone from merely being turned on to a full out simmer now. We have a law suit filed by Shirley Sherrod against Andrew Breitbart, which I bet will last up until the discovery process and Sherrod’s deposition. The first two videos are Michelle Bachman (R) Minnesota, and Steve King (R) Iowa. They discuss various aspects of the case. The third video is Eddie Slaughter, a farmer from Georgia who got royally screwed in the whole deal. What’s new in this so far from him? Listen to his explanation. He received compensation for his wrong in Pigford I. Then he was served with a lien through the Social Security Administration to repay his settlement. He received funds through Pigford II, but then he was hit with another lien and watched as money was dispersed to about 94,000 people who never farmed at all. A huge percentage of those non farmers were from Chicago’s inner city, where there are no farms. Who is from Chicago again? It’s probably not important. Any way, these three videos come from Breitbart’s BigGovernment.com.

Steven King implicates Vilsac and Holder in this round. They stop short of calling the President an outright crook, but we heard implication of the President in an earlier video already. It is beginning to look very suspiciously like the Sherrod firing was to distance a lot of crooked people from the Pigford stench, and that Sherrod was a patsy set for the fall and buck stoppage. Strange that her lawsuit is leveled against Breitbart alone and does not include the people who actually fired her. The lawsuit is designed to shut Breitbart up, and is the tool of thugs from Chicago who are used to playing this kind of game. It will never see a court, nor so much as a plaintiff’s deposition. For your viewing pleasure, and historical perspective, Keith Olberman’s take on the Sherrod firing as documented by Glenn Beck.

Will Pigford Bring Down The Whole Bunch?

Watch this one in the coming weeks and months. It is going to be huge, and it involves the current POTUS. Breitbart is claiming in these videos he has documentation that President Obama helped propagate this huge fraud to secure votes during the 2008 primary in the Southern States. That he continued the fraud after his election as President to repay people who helped him get elected with Billions in Tax Payer money.

That the Department of Agriculture did wrong in the Pigford case is not in question. The evidence shows that they wronged all small farmers though and not just the minority farmers. At the time of Pigford, there were 18,000 Black farmers in the south. As of today, there are over 90,000 recipients of individual settlements. that means, that for every Black owned farm in the affected area, There have been 5 recipients of settlement funds. Here is the best part, of the 90,000 plus recipients, very few were in the original 18,000 possibly affected farms. This makes Acorn and even, dare I say Watergate, pale in comparison. The videos are about 20 minutes in total to watch, so make some popcorn and meet me back here to watch the videos.

I hope you caught who one of the principal players in this mega-scandal is. None other than Shirley Sherrod. Remember when Sherrod was fired by the Agriculture Department over a video that was anonymously sent to Breitbart was shown. The video showed part of a speech given by Sherrod out of context at a seminar on racial sensitivity. Well, guess what. It looks like the whole thing was a set up to deflect attention away from Sherrod’s involvement in Pigford. And what of the President’s involvement? Well, months after the obvious fraud started to come to light, and indeed began to grow in scope, President Obama tripled down on taxpayer funds, and pledged his commitment to pay reparations to those who were not wronged. He said, “funding the Pigford settlement is a top priority for my administration.”

This stink ain’t going away by November of 2012. How is that whole hopety change thing going anyhow? Does it feel like the culture of corruption has been cleaned up yet? One more exit question: Will I hear the same old excuse given by my liberal friends when one of theirs gets caught in a scandal, “well, they’re all crooked anyhow?”

Leftist Scam Organization SPLC and its Cayman Island Bank Account

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is nothing but a leftist scam organization (I know, that’s redundant) whose purpose is to enrich its founders. It smears a great many legitimate conservative organizations by listing them as “hate groups.” It then uses innuendo and false accusations, along with guilt-tripping, to draw attention to itself for the purpose of garnering contributions. Until very recently, the mainstream media has treated the SPLC as a legitimate organization, and to some extent, it still does.

Southern ‘Poverty’ Law Center Cayman Islands Bank Account

(h/t: Iron Fist)

The SPLC’s new 2009 IRS 990 filing shows they have a bank account in the Cayman Islands. Now, stop for a good long minute and ask yourself what the hell is a supposed poverty-fighting Alabama-based tax exempt organization doing with such an account. Then ponder this: how much money is in it.

Unfortunately, the IRS does not require SPLC or any tax exempt charity with an account in a foreign country to disclose additional details, such as the amount, and the SPLC’s current 990 filing merely notes the existence of an account in a foreign country. The center’s site reveals neither the existence of the off-shore account nor the total it contains.

Assets for the organization are listed at $190 million, a nice chunk of change in these economic hard times. When was the last time this group, with almost $190 million in assets, did a damn worthwhile thing about, um, poverty?

The latest 990 additionally shows founder and chief trial counsel Morris Dees had his salary raised to $350,000, and his CEO, Richard Cohen, is close behind at $345,000.

The tax filing also shows Dees traveled by air charter, and that his spouse, artist and businesswoman Susan Starr, accompanies her husband on the business trips.

[…] Former Harper’s Magazine writer Ken Silverstein wrote a piece about the group in 2000, subtitled “How the Southern Poverty Law Center profits from intolerance,” that is still very pertinent and well-worth reading today:

[…] In the early 1960s, Morris Dees sat on the sidelines honing his direct-marketing skills and practicing law while the civil rights movement engulfed the South. “Morris and I … shared the overriding purpose of making a pile of money,” recalls Dees’s business partner, a lawyer named Millard Fuller (not to be confused with Millard Farmer). “We were not particular about how we did it; we just wanted to be independently rich.” […]

For Dees, the P in SPLC has nothing to do with personal poverty. That P better stands for profit or profiteering for him, and foolish donors keep sending him checks, thinking they’re helping poverty-stricken blacks or whites in Alabama move into better housing.

Since we’re on the subject of abodes in the Yellowhammer State, let’s have a gander at where Dees lives courtesy of the May 2010 Montgomery Advertiser 60-photo feature just on his mansion, the opulent furnishings and layout, not to mention a fabulous outfit shown off by his wife:

Will this get any attention?

Says Iron Fist:

Wow, this should be big…Something to keep in mind when the SPLC designates a new “Hate Group” of the week: where does all that money come from? Soros, anyone? How much does it cost to get your political opponent designated a hater? The SPLC shouldn’t have any crediblilty left, but they do with the theoretical independent votes. Like I said, this should be big news. But it won’t be.

In case anybody hasn’t seen this yet, it thoroughly refutes the mindset and world view of Morris Dees and of liberals in general:

First, the Serbs; now, the Jews?

A War of Images

By Stella Jatras

Will the same weapon that defeated the Serbs also defeat Israel?

They say that truth is always the first victim in war. Such is the case in the Israeli/Hezbollah war.

It appears that Hezbollah has taken a page out of the Bosnian Muslim playbook: Win the PR battle, and you win the war. What better example of media disinformation than the Bosnian War, where images of civilians “slaughtered” at Sarajevo’s Markale market place, allegedly by Serb forces, were so instrumental? If it worked for the Bosnian Muslims, why not for Hezbollah? Will Qana, Lebanon, become Israel’s Markale market place?

Yossef Bodansky, author of Bin Laden: The Man Who Declared War on America, wrote the following in his 1995 book Offensive in the Balkans:

Phase Three started with the self-inflicted major terrorist provocation. On Friday 5, 1994, a major explosion rocked the Markale — Sarajevo’s main market place — causing heavy casualties. What was immediately described as the ubiquitous ‘Serb mortar shell’ was actually a special charge designed and built with help from HizbAllah experts and then most likely dropped from a nearby rooftop onto the crowd of shoppers. Video cameras at the ready recorded this expertly-staged spectacle of gore, while dozens of corpses of Bosnian Muslim troops killed in action (exchanged the day before in a ‘body swap’ with the Serbs) were paraded in front of cameras to raise the casualty counts.

This callous self-killing was designed to shock the West especially sentimental and gullible Washington, in order to raise the level of Western sympathy to the Bosnian Muslims and further demonize the Serbs so that Western governments would be more supportive of Sarajevo’s forthcoming aggressive moves, and perhaps even finally intervene militarily.” (Emphasis added)

Some headlines that Americans never saw were “Muslims ‘slaughter their own people’,” The [London] Independent, 22 Aug. 1992, and “Serbs ‘not guilty’ of massacre,” The Sunday [London] Times, 1 Oct. 1995.

In 1992, Peter Maher, Professor Emeritus of Linquistics, visited Dubrovnik, Croatia, to see for himself the truth about the war. He wrote, “A few months earlier, the press was filled with stories that the Pearl of the Adriatic had been reduced to rubble. The stories were fakes.” Professor Maher goes on to explain just how it happened: “The dramatic ‘Dubrovnik burning’ pictures were shot with long lenses. . . .But the smoke was from the fuel tanks of two pleasure boats burning in the Old Harbor … Dubrovnik’s Old City never burned and was never even targteted by the federal forces…..The only building in the Old City of Ragusa to be gutted by explosives and fire was the library and treasure of the Serbian Orthodox church, which housed a priceless collection of medieval manuscripts and icons. It was not navy guns that did the damage, but plastic and incendiary devices planted on the spot by Croatian forces.”

Who can forget the horrific pictures that were repeatedly shown on CNN of the two dead Muslim babies on a bus in Bosnia, allegedly killed by a Serb sniper? I would never have known the truth if I had not been watching France 2 TV, which showed the funeral of these innocent babies. Officiating was a Serbian Orthodox priest. These were not Muslim babies; they were Serbian babies, but for American consumption, the Serbian Orthodox priest was cropped from the film so that the American people would continue to believe that the babies were Muslim. This kind of reporting is not just yellow journalism. It goes beyond the pale, the same kind of “journalism” that Israel is experiencing today — manipulation, distortion, staging, forgery and the doctoring of photos by anti-Israeli media. Welcome to the club!

Hopefully, in the current Israeli/Hezbollah conflict, the media distortions will not sell. At the beginning of the Balkan conflict we did not have the Internet and bloggers to expose CNN and its ilk. Today is different. Almost immediately after photos of damage from an Israeli air strike on Beirut were posted, outrage from bloggers who recognized that the photos were doctored forced Reuters to admit that two or more photos were altered. The company stated, “A Reuters photograph of smoke rising from buildings in Beirut has been withdrawn after coming under attack by American web blogs. The blogs accused Reuters of distorting the photograph to include more smoke and damage.” Was this simply one person’s mistake, or is a pattern being exposed in the present Israeli/Hezbollah war of the biased or even co-belligerent media that was at work in the war against the Serbs?…

Read it all!

I knew what would happen!

Back in 1999, when Clinton was bombing the Christian Serbs on behalf of the jihadis in the Balkans, I warned people of what was to come. I delivered my warning both in person and on the Internet, on the huge mailing list that I ran back in those days, before the blogosphere existed. I told everyone who would listen that the Serbs were being bombed now, and that Israel would be next.

Practically no one believed me.

I never claimed to know how those bombs would be delivered, nor by whom. I had no way of knowing that the bombs would not be delivered by airplane, but rather by suicide vest and IED. Nonetheless, I knew that Israel and the Jews would become the next target. Given what I knew of the proclivities of the jihadis and their leftist collaborators, I could figure out that harm was about to come to the innocent in Israel, and that the Jewish people would be next to suffer.

And so it was.

Oh, and by the way, I have personally spoken with Professor John Peter Maher many times, and he did indeed recount the same eyewitness evidence to me about the fabrication of the supposed destruction of Dubrovnik.

Then it was CNN; now it is Pallywood

The deliberate staging of fake crimes to draw the sympathy – and the economic and military intervention – of the US and other western nations, on behalf of thoroughly undeserving Muslim powers and factions, has burgeoned into an industry.

See According to Palestinian Sources on The Second Draft for some video examples:

The MSM use Palestinian sources constantly, and even when they mention the provenance of the information, they rarely explore its reliability. In a series of studies, we explore the culture of Palestinian journalism (Pallywood), its greatest product (Al Durah), its impact on the world via MSM validation (Icon of Hatred), and the Gaza Beach Tragedy that took place six years later. Further studies to come.
