George Soros linked to 30 News Organizations

This is information that needs to get out. Totalitarian Tranzi Progressive George Soros who controls Obama’s influence is far reaching. It turns out he has ties with 30 News organizations. This helps explains the silence over his involvement with Progressives causes. This is power beyond what anyone imagine this man has. Clearly he is a danger to America and the world.

When liberal investor George Soros gave $1.8 million to National Public Radio , it became part of the firestorm of controversy that jeopardized NPR’s federal funding. But that gift only hints at the widespread influence the controversial billionaire has on the mainstream media. Soros, who spent $27 million trying to defeat President Bush in 2004, has ties to more than 30 mainstream news outlets – including The New York Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press, NBC and ABC.

Prominent journalists like ABC’s Christiane Amanpour and former Washington Post editor and now Vice President Len Downie serve on boards of operationsthat take Soros cash. This despite the Society of Professional Journalist’s ethical code stating: “avoid all conflicts real or perceived.”

This information is part of an upcoming report by the Media Research Centers Business & Media Institute which has been looking into George Soros and his influence on the media.

Clearly George Soros is coordinating how news is propagated to the masses. This is media manipulation pure and simple. This is an evil man who influence is a danger to this nation.

Juan Williams: It’s Time to Defund NPR

Juan Williams

Fox News commentator Juan Williams (formerly of NPR) has finally acknowledged just how corrupt and ruthless the liberal media and its supporters actually can be. Though Williams is still a liberal himself, he is not a doctrinaire liberal, in that he has been open to reconsidering his previous viewpoints when new evidence comes to light. I believe that he is, at heart, a decent human being.

Williams: Now it’s time to to defund NPR

(h/t: The Jawa Report)

By Juan Williams – 03/21/11 06:00 AM ET

Even after they fired me, called me a bigot and publicly advised me to only share my thoughts with a psychiatrist, I did not call for defunding NPR. I am a journalist, and NPR is an important platform for journalism.

But last week my line of defense for NPR ran into harsh political realities. Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee sent out a fundraising letter with the following argument for maintaining public funding of NPR:

“They [Republicans] know NPR plays a vital role in providing quality news programming — from rural radio stations to in-depth coverage of foreign affairs. If the Republicans had their way, we’d only be left with the likes of Glenn Beck, Limbaugh and Sarah Palin to dominate the airwaves.”

With that statement, Congressman Israel made the case better than any Republican critic that NPR is radio by and for liberal Democrats. He is openly asking liberal Democrats to give money to liberal Democrats in Congress so they can funnel federal dollars into news radio programs designed to counter and defeat conservative Republican voices.

Rep. Israel has unintentionally endorsed every conservative complaint about NPR as a liberal mouthpiece. And to me, as a journalist, it is also a statement of why NPR’s troubled management team has turned its fundraising efforts into a weapon to be used against its essential product — top quality, balanced reporting. No journalist should have to work with one finger in the political winds, anxiously waiting to see if Democrats continue to be pleased with what they hear on NPR as a counter to what they don’t like hearing from Rush Limbaugh.

But, wait, there might be one better argument for ending federal funding of NPR.

NPR’s top fundraiser, Ron Schiller, was caught on tape recently saying explicitly that “in the long run…[NPR is] better off without federal funding.”

In fact, Rep. Israel might have added spice to his fundraising appeal directed at liberal Democrats by quoting Schiller’s praise of liberal Democrats. “In my personal opinion,” Schiller says on the tape, “liberals today might be more educated, fair and balanced than conservatives.”

Betsy Liley, the director of institutional giving at NPR, is also heard on the tape saying that liberal billionaire George Soros has made it his business to subsidize NPR with as little fanfare as possible — that is to say to do it secretly. [emphasis added]

Liley’s revealing comment and Schiller’s arrogance are instructive because they provide a window in to the culture of elitism that has corroded NPR’s leadership. They’re willing to do anything in service of any liberal with money. This includes firing me and skewing the editorial content of their programming. If anyone challenges them on this point, they will claim with self-righteous indignation to have cleaner hands than the rest of the news media who accepts advertising revenue or expresses a point of view.

I’m not just talking about conservatives but also the far left, the poor — anybody who didn’t fit into leadership’s marketing design of NPR as the elitist voice of comfortable, liberal-leaning, highly educated, upper-income America.

As for Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), it was not until he saw the secretly recorded videotape of NPR executives that he understood the extent of political bias at NPR. “Of all the data that we’ve seen, we still had not absorbed the culture of NPR until we saw the video of that dinner.” House Majority Leader Eric Cantor added: “Why should we allow taxpayer dollars to be used to advocate one ideology?”

That dinner tape and the Democrat’s fundraising letter set the table for a totally partisan vote, with Republicans voting in opposition to public funding of NPR and Democrats voting for it. Last Thursday, 228 Republicans voted to defund NPR while seven Republicans joined with 185 Democrats to preserve it. The effort was largely symbolic as there is hardly any chance the Democrat-controlled Senate will go along with the House on this one. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is a huge NPR fan…

Juan Williams believes that the funding that NPR receives directly from the federal government is far more important than the indirect government funding received via the stations in the network that run NPR programs. I am not at all convinced of that. Be that as it may, I say that it is time to end all taxpayer funding, whether direct or indirect, of television or radio broadcasting networks or stations.

Why is Georgia allowing a Turkish settlement?

Says Philip_Daniel:

Georgia is planning to settle Turks in the Javakhk region?

Have they lost their minds?!

(Point of clarification: we are not speaking of the State of Georgia in the American South, but of the nation of Georgia in the Caucasus.)

I suspect that US influence in Georgia, in the aftermath of the nefarious George Soros-engineered “Rose Revolution” of 2003, is at least partly to blame for this madness. The once-“secular” Turkey is doing everything it can to expand its influence in Asia, and to establish a new de facto caliphate. Turkey’s intentions in funding a railroad in Georgia are anything but benign.

It is ALWAYS wrong to allow Muslims into any non-Muslim country or territory, no matter what the excuse.

Where Javakhk issue is hidden?

Every day, the Armenians of the Samtskhe-Javakheti (Javakhk) region in Georgia face a harsh battle for survival. Yet through sheer will and determination, the community, which faces discrimination and insurmountable obstacles, is able to keep the Armenian identity alive, not for fear of assimilation but for the most basic of reasons: survival.

In the 20 years since Armenia’s independence and the collapse of the Soviet Union, the plight of the Armenians in Javakhk has not been center stage, simply because the life and death struggle to liberate Karabakh was, and continues to be at the fore, since it is so detrimental for the Armenian nation.

No one knows that better that the Armenians living in Javakhk, where vestiges of the Soviet regime are still very much part and parcel of daily life. Despite the unique position Georgia enjoys as a darling of the West, enough to prompt a Western-backed and orchestrated color revolution, official Tbilisi has not been willing to enact reforms and, through its arcane laws, discriminates against minorities living in Georgia by blocking their ability to enjoy basic and fundamental rights of practicing their religion and speaking their language. Armenians in Javakhk, who have lived there for centuries before being annexed to Georgia by Joseph Stalin, are being systematically persecuted and their right to life and liberty is being hampered on a daily basis.

This second-class citizen status is impeding Armenians from getting jobs, being represented in local and federal government structures and from teaching Armenian in schools. Furthermore, a state-sponsored campaign to crack down on the community has intensified, resulting in the arrest and incarceration of community activist and leaders on trumped up charges that often border on absurdity.
[…]
Their demands from the Georgian authorities are to not impede the teaching of the Armenian language through state-sanctioned obstacles, which generally are manifested through financial cuts to Armenian schools or the restriction on teaching of history and religion. Another important stipulation is fair representation in local and federal elected offices and equal opportunity for employment. An end to random raids of community facilities and arrest of leaders is also of utmost importance in their demand for human rights. The people of Javakhk are convinced that the most logical way to realize their objectives and address the inequities of the current situation is through autonomy for Javakhk within a federated state of Georgia.
[…]
The challenges facing Armenia, Karabakh and the entire Armenian nation are compounded by the realities facing the Armenians of Javakhk. Aside from Georgian government’s ill-treatment of Armenians, the construction of the Kars-Akhalkalak-Baku railway—almost entirely funded by Turkey and Azerbaijan—coupled with the planned settlement of Meskheti Turks in Javakhk proper threaten the very existence of this historic Armenian territory. Always Use A Secure Proxy If You Must Visit MoveOn.org

The hard-left MoveOn.org site, funded by the infamous George Soros, will stealthily collect and misuse your IP address. In this instance, the site is falsely using your IP address to inflate a signature count on behalf of their efforts to shill for the public employee unions. What else MoveOn.org may be doing, or planning to do, with your IP address and your computer, is anybody’s guess.

If you want to visit MoveOn.org in order to keep tabs on what our enemies are up to, be sure to go through a secure proxy service, as Velvethammer did here:

MoveOn.org Systematically & Fraudulently Skewing Anti-Walker ‘Call to Action’ Support Results [Screenshot]

(h/t: AvidEditor)

Thanks to AMORC11 of ‘Another Day at the Foundry’ there is solid proof that MoveOn.org is capturing IP’s, an underhanded dirty trick to fraudulently gather signatures of support for their “50-State Mobilization to Save the American Dream”.

Here is a screenshot I took after having accessed the same page going in through http://anonymouse.org. As you can see, since my IP address was hidden I was not forced into signing their letter without my consent.

The text of the letter “50-State Mobilization to Save the American Dream” MoveOn.org is tricking people into signing.

In Wisconsin and around our country, the American Dream is under fierce attack. Instead of creating jobs, Republicans are giving tax breaks to corporations and the very rich and then cutting funding for education, police, emergency response and vital human services. The right to organize is on the chopping block. The American Dream is slipping out of reach for more and more Americans, and we have to fight back.

Can you add your endorsement to the call for emergency rallies in front of every statehouse this Saturday at 12 Noon to stand in solidarity with the people of Wisconsin? We must demand an end to the attacks on workers’ rights and public services across the country. Demand investment, to create decent jobs for the millions of people who desperately want to work. And demand that the rich and powerful pay their fair share.
You can add your name and endorse the call for emergency rallies by following this link:

Thanks!

As we have learned in light of the union protest in Wisconsin, public employee and their unions have the power to bring government to its knees. And their comrades at MoveOn.org are perfectly willing to stoop to any level to come to their aid. Whatever it takes, the ends [will] always justify their means.

MoveOn.org is as anti-American as it gets. So it should come as no shock that they and Obama are thick as thieves
