George Soros: Glenn Beck and Rupert Murdoch of Fox News are just like the Nazis

Charles Johnson concurring! Coming from a fellow who was born Jewish and who  along with  his “adoptive father”  helped inventory Jewish property for the Nazis in Budapest in 1944,  that is the definition of being shameless.  I guess Beck’s series a few months ago about Soros must have really hit a nerve. Surprisingly,  Soros is not a fan of the tea party either.

by Noel Sheppard

George Soros on Sunday likened Fox News and Rupert Murdoch to Nazis while claiming that Tea Partiers are being deceived and misled by a force they can’t understand.

Appearing on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” the financier of far-left propaganda outlets such as the Center for American Progress, Media Matters for America, and MoveOn.org was not shy about his distaste for conservatives (video follows with transcript and commentary):

FAREED ZAKARIA, HOST: George, I want you to look at a piece of video we have here.

GLENN BECK, FOX NEWS HOST: The question is, do we have a shadow government? And, if we do, who are those intelligent minority that is — that is guiding us through? And where are they guiding us to?

If you skip past all of the puppets and the strings, if you stop looking at the puppets themselves, you have to see who’s behind the puppets. Who is choosing the puppets and the players? Who’s the puppet master?

George Soros.

ZAKARIA: So, George, Glenn Beck has been on this kick that you are actually the mastermind who is trying to bring down the American government. How do you react when you see this kind of thing?

GEORGE SOROS: Well, I would be amused if — if people saw the joke in it, because what he is doing, he is projecting what FOX, what Rupert Murdoch is doing, because he has a — a media empire that is telling the people some falsehoods and this — and leading the government in the wrong direction.

[….]

ZAKARIA: But it’s very personal. I mean, he talks about you as a 14-year-old boy and he accuses you of — of essentially helping to round Jews up — you’re Jewish yourself. You’ve lost —

Now, I — because I saw it as a child, I immediately react that way. But people in America, they are innocent. They — they haven’t had the experience. But having the experience now, and I hope they wake up and they realize that they are being deceived.

Rupert Murdoch is like a Nazi using his media outlet Fox News to “tell the people falsehoods and deceive them.” And Zakaria sat there eating it up like a sheep.

Clearly enjoying the conservative bashing, the CNN host moved in another predictable direction asking his guest, “What do you think of this broader movement of the Tea Party, of — of what’s going on on the right?”

Honestly, what did Zakaria think Soros was going to say?

SOROS: Look, I think the people in the Tea Party are very decent people, hard-working. They’ve been hit by a force that — that comes from somewhere which they can’t fully understand, and — and they are being misled. And they are misled by people who are using it for their selfish purposes, namely to remove regulations and — and reduce taxation. So reduce taxation and regulation, and they are being used and deceived.

So the Tea Partiers are all idiots being misled into thinking loosened regulations and lower taxes are bad. Meanwhile, Soros funds organizations dishonestly trying to convince people that more regulations and higher taxes are good.

Not surprisingly, Zakaria missed both the hypocrisy and the irony.

I guess that makes him easily deceived and misled.

Glenn Beck answers Bill Kristol

Bill Kristol is one of these academic based spread Democracy-by-the-point-of-a-gun type Rockefeller Republicans. His elitist worldview is not based on reality. The fact is there are differences in culture and civilizations. Some cultures and nations are not compatible with democracy. Recently Bill Kristol saidAmerica should support the Egyptian rioters. Clearly this is a naive view since it is well known the Muslim Brotherhood is behind the protests and would benefit from the fall of the current Egyptian regime. Clearly this man has no credibility and is a naive fool. He also doesn’t care about the fate of Coptic Christians in Egypt. He had the same attitude towards the persecution of Christians in Iraq.

In that same article, Bill Kristol took a shot at Glenn Beck for pointing out there’s a Progressive-Islamic Axis. People who have been reading this blog, Gates of Vienna, Jihadwatch, Atlas Shrugs and the Pre-Iceweasel LGF know that Leftist and Islamic movements are allies. Rather than acknowledge this fact which would undermine the everyone wants democracy theory, Kristol attacks Beck and claims that Beck’s theory is nonsense.

When Glenn Beck rants about the caliphate taking over the Middle East from Morocco to the Philippines, and lists (invents?) the connections between caliphate-promoters and the American left, he brings to mind no one so much as Robert Welch and the John Birch Society. He’s marginalizing himself, just as his predecessors did back in the early 1960s.

Clearly Bill Kristol is either lying or just ignorant. The Leftist-Islamic alliance is the #1 danger to America today. It is strong in America and Europe and these groups have ties to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Muslim Brotherhood, AL-Qaeda, Hamas and others.

Glenn beck responds to Bill Kristol and takes no prisoners.

Beck, in response, defendedhis broad theories by reading from the work of the Muslim writer Zudhi Jasser, a sharp critic of most Muslim leaders, to argue of the threat from “Islamic socialism.” He also accused Kristol of propping up Hosni Mubarak, of being stuck in 1973, and of failing to see that “we are fighting the forces of evil on this planet.”

“I think he’s still trying to get Bob Dole elected, i’m not really sure,” said Beck.

Read it all: Beck blasts Kristol: ‘Do anything to keep their little fiefdom together’

Glenn Beck is spot on in his answer to Kristol. Clearly he is an elitist and espouses the beliefs of the Rockefeller Republicans who still control the GOP. Hopefully Beck’s push back will lead to more prominent Conservatives to take on the GOP’s foreign policy Establishment. It’s time to bring back Jacksonian Nation interest based policies instead of this Globalist/Internationalist one that infects both parties. I stand with Glenn beck against Bill Kristol and his elitist gang.

**COLDWARRIOR addition: please read:

Islamic Revolution and the Communists

Udate: Pam Geller goes after Bill Kristol.

But Kristol is so wrong, inexcusably so.  Glenn Beck nailed it.  The advance of Islamic supremacism is exactly what is at play here.  And we are right to be cautious.  Nobody expects Mubarak to survive — we only care about what comes after.

Finally, someone had the guts to speak to Islamic supremacism and its global project nine years after September 11, and Kristol smacks him down.  Many of us have been covering this for years, perplexed and disturbed that no one in the mainstream media dared touch it.

The left always aligns itself with the totalitarian ideology of the day (i.e., Stalinism, Communism, National Socialism, etc.), and so it is with Islamic supremacism.  Those of us covering the anti-America, anti-war, anti-Israel movement have documented this for years.  CODE PINK, ANSWER, Al Awda, the Socialist Workers Party, the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), CAIR, ISNA, If Americans Knew (IAK), Friends of Sabeel-North America (FOSNA), the Muslim American Society (MAS), and Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) have been working and agitating together for years.

Pam is spot on here. Kristol is ignoring the connections between Progressive and Islamic causes.

TSA Naked Scan and Crotch Grope: Draw the Line Against Government Intrusion

Modesty, bodily privacy, and human dignity…

The international press and the blogosphere has been full of news items about banning the burqa in various European countries. (Phyllis Chesler offers many strong arguments in favor of banning the burqa.) This is part of the ongoing controversies regarding shari’a law and Muslim demands for the veiling, isolation, and abuse of women under the pretexts of honor, shame, and “modesty.”

Such intrusive demands for us to change our ways to accommodate Muslim gender apartheid have nothing to do with modesty as we know it in a society founded upon Judaeo-Christian principles. In fact, the Muslim idea of “modesty” is the very antithesis of ours.

For Muslims, veiling the female body to the point of anonymity with the chador, the niqab, or the burqa, becomes a denial of human dignity and a denial of the equal value of men and women in the eyes of our Creator.

For us, decent clothing for all people – including men, women, and children – is a basic requirement of human dignity. Rabbi Daniel Lapin recently appeared on the Glenn Beck show, where he said that, according to the Torah, clothing the naked is an even more meritorious deed than feeding the hungry, because clothing is essential to human dignity.

…versus totalitarianism

The news is also filled with controversy about the recent TSA “naked body scan” and “crotch grope” policies for passengers boarding aircraft in US airports.

I should not need to remind our misguided policymakers that, even in athletic venues such as the gym and the beach, practicing Christians and Jews of both sexes and all ages cover the buttocks and genitalia, and females of all ages cover the chest. This, of course, is the minimum; in other venues, we cover a larger portion of our bodies, dressing in whatever manner is appropriate for the circumstances. We do this to preserve our own dignity as human beings created in the Lord’s own image, and to avoid distracting others with inappropriate temptations.

Despite the recent policies of the TSA, we consider staring at, touching, or groping the private parts of a stranger to be taboo. It is also taboo to peep at, or photograph, a stranger in the nude or even in his or her undergarments. If a private citizen did such things, he or she would end up in prison, and rightly so. Government employees should be under the same rules as the rest of us.

Stripping an unwilling person of his or her clothing, as is commonly done with prisoners, is a deep insult that is intended to shame and dehumanize. The person stripped naked is exposed to ridicule and abuse, and has lost control of his or her fate. Even though I suppose someone will invoke Godwin’s Law, I cannot help but be reminded of the naked prisoners in concentration camp photos from the Third Reich. Yes, there is such a thing as a slippery slope, in which we allow our government to get out of control and to become totalitarian. This is a path that we must never take.

Airline boycott?

Rep. Ron Paul has recently complained of having been repeatedly groped in a “disgusting” manner while flying on official state business, on account of the fact that he has metal in his knees. He rightly points out that this is unconstitutional. He recommends that, whenever we can, we use other means of transportation and not fly on commercial aircraft until this intrusive nude scan/crotch grope policy is discontinued. He also favors a national “opt out” day. Even though readers of this blog, including myself, strongly disagree with Ron Paul on many other things, on this particular point I concur that he is right in saying that the current TSA procedures are an unacceptable governmental intrusion into our personal modesty and dignity and our Constitutional rights.

I recognize that the current scan-and-grope TSA policy is the fault of the Obama Administration and not of the airlines. While that is true, at this point, the only effective way we have of making our anger known to the government is to refuse to participate in their totalitarian activities. Wherever possible, I plan to use other means of transportation that are not yet under this level of government intrusion.

George Soros, Glenn Beck, and the Hungarian Holocaust

At times we need to make a concession to the truth, and the truth is that George Soros is a diabolical, evil, totalitarian enemy of freedom. Soros is clearly a complete sociopath who admittedly had no pangs of guilt or conscience about  helping his “adoptive”  non Jewish father inventory Jewish property in Budapest as his fellow Hungarian Jews were being packed into cattle cars .  From May 15, 1944 until July 8, 1944  a total of 437, 402 Jews from Hungary were sent to Auschwitz on 147 trains and 90% were gassed immediately upon arrival.

by J.R. Dunn

It will come as no surprise that Glenn Beck’s broadcast biography of George Soros last week has triggered a vast brawl concerning his interpretation and treatment of the topic.

The uproar revolves around Beck’s portrayal of Soros’ role in the Holocaust. Beck repeats the widely-known story concerning Soros’  involvement in handing deportation orders to Jewish families on behalf of the Nazis. He emphasizes that Soros was only fourteen at the time, and does not condemn the activity, asserting that the matter remains “between Soros and God”.

I happen to have researched the episode in depth for my upcoming book Death by Liberalism,  and I can state here that Beck’s narrative is completely accurate. His treatment of it is commendable, in particular his statement that no one has a right to judge the efforts of Jews to survive in Nazi-occupied Europe.

All the same, the segment has triggered a firestorm among the usual suspects, who appear to view Soros as sharing in Obama’s divine status. In a hagiographic fresco dealing with the Advent of the One, the Soros halo would only be slightly smaller than that of Obama himself. In this regard, he must be defended at all costs.

The piece from Mediaite can serve as an example. Both the text and the comments are revealing. They express three major objections to Beck’s treatment:

  • 1) The incident never happened
  • 2) Its import and meaning is quite different that what is implied
  • 3) Beck is throwing around Nazi associations in much the same way that the left does when they assert (one example out of thousands), that Prescott Bush “assisted the Nazis”.

First off — as stated above, there’s no question that the incident occurred. In fact, there’s considerably more to it. Soros also assisted in the collection of Jewish chattels — clothing, furniture, and the like — for shipment to Germany. We have this on the highest authority, from an eyewitness of unimpeachable status: Soros himself. During a 1998 60 Minutes interview, Soros admitted to the entire story without hesitation, He also stated that he felt no guilt, adding that the situation cannot be understood be anyone who was not there. Then, in what might be called typical Soros style, he concludes by comparing his cooperation with the Nazis with his later activities in the markets.

As to the import of the episode — many of the comments draw very close to Holocaust denial. How do we know, they ask, that the Jews in question were being sent to the death camps? They could have been going anywhere “to Hawaii”, one thoughtful commentator states.

This is a standard trope of the Holocaust-denial industry. “Revisionists,” as they fancy themselves, have given up complete denial of the exterminations in favor of minimizing Nazi crimes by shaving away at the margins. So we get claims that not all the victims died in Auschwitz, Treblinka, Belzec, and the other camps, but instead were “sent” somewhere, nobody knows quite where. In the 1980s, one insightful little scholar suggested that a large proportion of the missing six million could be found in Israeli retirement homes. The odious David Irving, a legitimate historian who slid into denial for reasons unknown even to himself, blithely insisted that he had “no idea” what happened to the European Jews, even though he had access to the largest private archive of Nazi documentation ever assembled.

The truth is simple: every Jew deported from the European ghettos went directly to the camps. Most of them were gassed immediately and then — as the survivors put it — went up the chimneys. There is no denying this, or eliding it, or making it mean anything else other than what it is. Holocaust denial is a crime. Anyone denying the exterminations is engaging in criminal activity — particularly if it involves, as it does here, an attempt to silence a political opponent.

On to the claim that Beck is slandering Soros as a Nazi. This type of smear is not uncommon, and is usually seen headed from the left in a rightward direction, under the assumption that both conservatism and Nazism are “right-wing” doctrines. The Prescott Bush libel is instructive here. Apparently the bank on whose board Bush sat loaned money to Nazi Germany during the 1930s. This is enough for him, his son, and his grandson to be damned from here to eternity as Nazi collaborators of the foulest type, according to the American left.

[…]

There’s something terribly wrong here. This is not the way a benefactor of humanity actually behaves. It’s as if Gandhi financed his independence movement through a network of casinos, or Martin Luther King sat on the councils of Murder Incorporated. What can the explanation be?

I believe that it can be found in Budapest in 1944. The Holocaust left deep and lasting scars on all who survived it, scars that often acted to cripple their psyches for decades afterward, if not for their entire lifetimes. It’s highly unlikely that George Soros is an exception. Did the brutalization of those days find a response in buccaneer raids on the financial markets? Did the memories of what he was forced to do transform him into one of those creatures who “loves humanity and hates human beings”? Is he now little more than a shattered clockwork figure attempting in his twilight years to “do good” without the vaguest notion of what such a concept might entail?
