London: Woman permanently scarred and almost blinded by niqab-clad acid-thrower

Ban the burqa and the niqab in all non-Muslim countries!

Says Zimriel:

The “random acid attack” was perpetrated by a woman in niqab. Author of the piece is one Rashid Razaq (whose name is probably, in full, “Rashid `Abd al-Razzaq”) — Rashid gets two cheers for noting that the clothing was, in fact, Islamic dress but loses the third cheer for not noting Islamic extremism explicitly.

EXCLUSIVE: Young woman scarred for life and almost blinded in random acid attack on London street

Naomi Oni

By Rashid Razaq

A young woman was facially disfigured and almost lost her eyesight in a horrific unprovoked acid attack on the streets of London.

Naomi Oni, 20, was on her way home from work when an unknown attacker dressed in a niqab threw a chemical substance at her leaving the retail assistant with severe burns on her head, neck, arms, legs and body.

These shocking images have now been released by Ms Oni in an appeal for help to catch the attacker whose identity was concealed behind the Muslim women’s dress which completely covers the face apart from the eyes.

Ms Oni, who is employed by Victoria’s Secret at the Westfield Stratford shopping centre, was five minutes from home in Dagenham, east London when she was attacked on December 30.

The 20-year-old was only released from Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford last weekend after spending almost a month receiving skin grafts and specialist treatment in the hospital’s burns unit.

Doctors initially warned Ms Oni that she may not be able to see again and although she can now see out of her left eye she still only has partial vision in her right eye.

Ms Oni, who is sole carer for her disabled mother Marian Yalekhue, 52, has decided to speak out after police failed to establish any motive behind the attack or identify a suspect.

She told the Standard the attack had “destroyed” her life and left her too afraid to venture out or even show her face in public.

“I look in the mirror and it just isn’t me. I’ll never look the same again. I’ve always been outgoing and confident in my job and in my personal life, used to getting attention for the way I dress or my hair, but now I don’t want anyone looking at me.

“I don’t want people to see me in public. I don’t want to get the Tube or the bus. If I have to go to the hospital I take a taxi. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go back to my job. I was planning to go to college in September to study media and fashion, but I don’t even know if I’ll be able to do that,” said Ms Oni.

The store assistant had just got off the bus and was talking to her boyfriend Ato Owede, 23, on her phone when she felt someone walking behind her in Lodge Avenue in Dagenham at around 12.40am.

She said: “I’d been working a late shift and was talking to my boyfriend about what we were going to do for New Year when I saw this Muslim woman wearing a niqab covering her face. I thought it was a bit strange at that time of night, but she didn’t say anything and I kept on walking.

“Then I felt a splash on my face. It burned and I screamed out. I started running and screaming, holding my face, all the way home. I didn’t look back.

“I got home and I was screaming and banging on the door. I was hysterical. Luckily my godmother, who is a pharmacist, was at home with my mum and she helped me and kept dipping my face in water and trying to calm me down until the police and ambulance got there. I was in shock. Saying: ‘Who would do that? Who would do that?’ How could anyone do this?”

Ms Oni has been told she faces months if not years of skin grafts and further plastic surgery and even then is likely to be left with severe facial scarring.

The retail assistant and her mother say they are too afraid to go back to their council flat in Dagenham. They are currently sleeping on a friend’s sofa-bed after turning down the offer to be rehoused in Tottenham on safety grounds.

Ms Oni said she had been inspired by the story of Katie Piper, the model who launched a charity and spoke out publicly after falling victim to an acid attack orchestrated by her boyfriend, but that she would never feel safe with her attacker still at large.

“Even with the support of my family and friends and boyfriend I feel very alone. Nothing is going to be same anymore,” said Ms Oni.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said acid attacks were “extremely rare” and that detectives were keeping an “open mind as to the motive.”

Officers from Barking and Dagenham are investigating. No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with information should contact police on 0203 276 1058 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Daily Mail (UK): Belgian politician risks Muslim backlash after using teenage daughter dressed in burka and bikini for campaign against Islam

A Belgian politician has risked causing uproar among Muslims after starting a ‘Women Against Islamization’ campaign featuring his 19-year-old daughter wearing a burka and a bikini.

Filip Dewinter, leader of the far-right Vlaams Belang party, uses a shot of his daughter An-Sofie Dewinter in the dark blue bikini for the political campaign.

The glamorous teenager dons a burka that covers her head and face, while the rest of the Muslim garment is draped over her back.

The provocative image is likely to inflame tensions among Islamic groups and nationalists in the racially-divided country.

The poster shows the words ‘Freedom or Islam?’ written on a red bar across Ms Dewinter’s breasts.

Further down the poster a black panel with the words ‘You choose!’ is seen covering the teenager’s crotch.

The extremist Vlaams Belang party claims that it wants to convince women to take a stand against Islam.

Ms Dewinter told the Belgian press she does not feel used by the party.

She said: ‘I’ve suggested (the poster) myself, I have learned to live with it but I have had everything up to death threats made at me.’

She said that she ‘ wanted to make this statement.’

She added: ‘What is the greatest contrast with a niqab? Nude.

‘The campaign fits in perfectly with how I feel about the whole issue. As women, we must choose: freedom or Islam.’

The teenager claimed that she had been threatened by Muslim groups

She added: ‘Death threats and criticism no longer scare me off.’

Her father, the party’s leader, said: ‘Women are always the first victims of Islam. We want to make clear that they have a choice.’

The potentially incendiary poster comes after The Islamic fundamentalist group Shariah4Belgium was slammed for its aggressive stance.

The group opened the country’s first Sharia court, a putting it on a collision course with the country’s nationalists.

Vlaams Belang spoke out against the Muslim courts and said that all legal disputes should be settled in the country’s civil judicial system.

Let’s expose some of the “spin” in the Daily Mail article:

First of all, there’s this phrase in the article title: “…using teenage daughter in burka and bikini…” Filip Dewinter is not “using” his teenage daughter in this campaign. She suggested the poster; it is not unduly revealing; and, at 19, she is of age to make the decision to be photographed. As a young adult who grew up in a political family, she thoroughly understands and accepts the risks involved. Kudos to her for participating in the Women Against Islamization campaign.

“…likely to inflame tensions among Islamic groups and nationalists in the racially-divided country.” Yeah, we get it; if you object to the burqa or the niqab, you must be a raaaaacist. Belgium is divided in two different ways, neither of which have to do with race: by region (socialist French/Walloon versus conservative Flemish) and by ideology (Islam versus freedom). Islam is a totalitarian ideology; it is no more a “race” than communism is, and non-Muslims have the right to reject it.

“Filip Dewinter, leader of the far-right Vlaams Belang party…” Here we go again. Patriotism in western Europe has become a dirty word. Any European political party or organization that takes a stand for national sovereignty or against Islamic infiltration will be labeled as “far-right.” In the mainstream media, “far-right” is a code word for raaaaacist or neo-Nazi. This smear against conservatives is especially misleading in view of the fact that Hitler was a Marxist, always a man of the Left.

“The extremist Vlaams Belang party claims that it wants to convince women to take a stand against Islam.” Extremist is another code word that the mainstream media uses to make a person, group, or idea seem too far outside of the mainstream to be a respectable topic for discussion. On the one hand, jihadi violence is blamed on a “tiny minority of extremists” within Islam, rather than on mainstream Islamic doctrine set forth in the Qur’an, the hadiths, and the schools of Islamic jurisprudence. On the other hand, any party opposing Islamic expansionism is labeled extremist, as a ploy to make the reader feel secretly ashamed for agreeing with it.

Meet Sergio Redegalli, Counterjihad Artist

Sergio Redegalli with 'Say No to Burqa' mural

Australian glass sculptor and muralist Sergio Redegalli is the director of Cydonia, an art glass studio in Newtown, New South Wales. Much as I like art glass, we’re all about the counterjihad, so let’s take a look at Mr. Redegalli’s murals instead. He paints them on the outside wall of his own glass studio. You gotta love this stuff!

Redegalli has been at the forefront of the anti-burqa movement. For clarity, click here to see what a burqa is, and no, a burqa not the same thing as a hijab (Muslim scarf covering the head, neck, and hair). That said, a niqab (face veil), worn with a hijab and voluminous clothing, provides nearly the same facial and bodily disguise as does a burqa, so the term “burqa” is used informally to refer to either system of disguise.

Sculptor Sergio Redegalli defies ‘bullies’ and refuses to take down anti-burka mural

A SYDNEY artist whose anti-burka mural has infuriated left-wing and Islamic activists is vowing that the provocative artwork will stay in place despite death threats, abuse, a string of vandalism attacks, a violent weekend protest and a police request to remove it.

Newtown glass sculptor Sergio Redegalli has this week restored the mural painted outside his studio for more than the 40th time after dozens of graffiti and paint-bomb attacks by protesters who say it is racist and inflammatory.
[…]
The sculptor, who is a well-known figure in inner-suburban Newtown, says he has since been visited by local police who asked him to take down the mural after learning of a threat to fire-bomb it.

He refuses to do so in the interests of free speech and public debate.

“I’m not going to let the bullies win,” Redegalli told The Australian yesterday.

“I’m not doing it for pride (but because) I don’t believe bullies have the right to stand over people and deny us our freedoms.”

Redegalli painted the mural and slogan “Say no to burqas” on an exterior wall of his glassworks last September, after a local fashion designer received death threats over a plan to feature models wearing the traditional Islamic garment in a fashion parade.

The artist says his objective is to promote debate about the Islamic face veil, which he sees as a symbol of repression and violent extremism.

Redegalli sometimes repaints his mural to cast a harsh light upon Aussie politicians, such as Fiona Byrne and PM Julia Gillard, both of whom toe the Red + Green + Green, socialist/eco-fraudster/dhimmi political line.

SMH: Mural targets mayor over Israel boycott

THE GREENS candidate tipped to take the once-safe Labor seat of Marrickville from the Deputy Premier, Carmel Tebbutt, in the state election has been targeted in a mural over her council’s decision to boycott Israel.

Marrickville Council’s support for the global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign (BDS) against Israel in December has already been the subject of hostile questions to the Greens candidate and mayor of Marrickville, Fiona Byrne, at a debate with Ms Tebbutt last week.

The policy has been attacked by numerous media commentators and Labor member for Grayndler, Anthony Albanese, who is also Ms Tebbutt’s husband, penned a newspaper column last month condemning the boycott as “unfortunate and misguided at best”.

Yesterday a mural in Newtown stating “Say no to the burqa” was temporarily repainted by its artist, Sergio Redegalli, to read “Say no to Fiona Byrne”. The burqa-clad woman with a strike through her was replaced by a figure in green and a mayoral sceptre stabbing a Star of David.

Ms Byrne said that the mural was dehumanising but she stood by the boycott.

“We don’t live in a vacuum … things that happen nationally and internationally affect people in our local area.”

Ms Byrne said Israel had not been singled out, and that she supported the federal government’s sanctions on countries such as Zimbabwe and the longstanding council boycott of Burma.
[…]
Redegalli, a Newton resident, said he was keeping the new mural up for only 24 hours to document it.

He has drawn praise from anti-Muslim immigration groups for the original anti-burqa mural and has addressed a number of political meetings, including an Ironbark Club meeting in December, which is run by the far-right nationalist Australian Protectionist Party (APP).

He told the Herald he planned to send photos of the new mural to a range of contacts, including prominent members of the APP and the website the Gates of Vienna, which claims the West is in a “new phase” of an “old war” against Islam.

The artist said he was not a member of any political party and hated Labor.

“[I wanted to] get people to look up Fiona Byrne, see who she is, what she stands for,” he said.

Read it all.

In this mural, Redegalli shows Fiona Byrne in a green burqa with a mayoral crown and a scepter labeled “BDS”, which stabs the Star of David:

Our Greens Love Anti-Semites.

Or could it be that they’re anti-Semites?

The bigotry is in direct relationship to the ignorance – and futility:

The Greens’ Marrickville policy. NSW candidate and mayor Fiona Byrne on ABC Online’s The Drum Unleashed on January 13:

On December 14 last year, Marrickville Council in Sydney’s inner west resolved to support a boycott of goods produced in Israel and of cultural and sporting exchanges with Israeli institutions, withdrawal of funds from institutions and companies that invest in or do significant business with Israel, and the implementation of government actions [sanctions] that indicate disapproval of Israeli policies in the illegally occupied Palestinian territories.

Say No to Fiona Byrne BDS/Burqa

A message from Sergio Redegalli:

‘I have attached the image of my latest Mural, I have temporarily created this image over the SAY NO TO BURQAS mural, I will change it back in the next few days after enough Sydney siders have seen it going past by train.’

I think that its title should be THE QUEEN GREEN RUBBISH BAG or GREEN RUBBISH BAG.

Redegalli recently weighed in on the nefarious Australian PM, Julia Gillard, who resembles Barack Hussein Obama in every way but outward appearance:
