Passionate Republicanism Working? Obama’s Approval Rating At Greatest Low

We have heard from David Frum, and other talking heads lately that the passionate Republicanism of Glenn Beck, and Mark Levin, and the supposed Republican Party shift toward “pure Conservatism” is going to ensure that the Democrats have a complete win in 2010.  They would suggest that the Republican party take a more liberal, and “centrist” stance to find common ground with the Hyper-Liberals now in power.

The only problem is that this tactic of passionate Conservatism, and Republican partisanship is working!

Rasmussen reports that Obama’s approval rating has hit a new low at -11:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 30% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11.  (see trends).

Overall, 46% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. That’s the lowest level of total approval yet measured for Obama. Fifty-three percent (53%) now disapprove…As for those not affiliated with either major party, 66% disapprove. See other recent demographic highlights from the tracking polls.

The Democrat Party controlled Congress is doing even worse:

Twenty-nine percent (29%) are confident that Congress knows what it’s doing when it comes to the economy. If Americans could vote to keep or replace the entire Congress, 57% would throw out all the legislators and start over again. Just 25% would vote to keep the Congress.

Glenn Beck Scores Top Ratings Spot While Kennedy Coverage Fails To Get Viewers

President Obama might have fulfilled his promise of “Change I can believe in“TM.  Those who voted for him however probably are not going to be all that pleased.

“TV by the Numbers” reports that Fox News’ Glenn Beck has received over 3 million views (just behind Bill O’Reilly).  For those unfamiliar with TV ratings, this is quite a feet.  For comparison, here are the Live and Same Day cable news daily ratings for August 26, 2009

Does this prove that passionate Conservatism works and is what the country wants? Who knows?!  But I would guess that advertising execs all over the Country are probably kicking themselves right now, and feeling very insecure about their jobs.  Maybe next time they wont allow themselves to be coerced by extremist political hacks.

From “TV by the Numbers”:

Last night Glenn Beck had over 3 million viewers at 5pm, second only to O’Reilly for the night.  But, Beck had more 25-54 viewers than O’Reilly (888K to 876K).  I don’t watch or really even care about the cable news wars, but still…wow. Even though Beck airs before primetime,  when there are fewer people watching TV, he had the most 25-54 viewers in the cable news world for the night.

And just to really infuriate all the Fox News haters out there, here are the total views for cable news stations:

P2+ Total Day
FNC – 1,374,000 viewers
CNN – 711,000 viewers
MSNBC –506,000 viewers
CNBC – 217,000 viewers
HLN – 300,000 viewers

In other Television news….

Kennedy Coverage Pulls Low Audience On Nets.  I guess that is what you should expect when you overplay your hand and the people start to believe that the MSM is exploiting the death of Senator Edward Kennedy to promote President Obama’s flagging attempt to overhaul the US healthcare system.

Green Jobs Czar: Van Jones exposed as a Marxist

Van Jones, who is the Green Jobs Czar for the Totalitarian Obama Junta. He co-founded the Radical Progressive blackmail group, Color of Change. This group’s goal is to silence Conservative/Libertarians and have a Progressive monopoly of political opinions.

Glenn Beck used his popular Fox News show this afternoon to attack the background of Van Jones, a White House environmental advisor who co-founded an African American political advocacy group that organized an advertising boycott of his program.

During his 2 p.m. PDT show, Beck did not address the boycott spearheaded by Color of Change to protest the talk show host’s remark last month that he believes President Obama is “a racist.”

Instead, he spent a large share of his program suggesting that Jones, who co-founded Color of Change in 2005, is a radical. Jones now serves as a special advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.

During a six-minute biographical profile, set to ominous music, Beck said Jones was twice arrested for political protests and has described himself as a “rowdy black nationalist.” The talk show host cast the piece as part of a broader examination of Obama’s “czars,” special advisers to the president who “don’t answer to anybody.”

I salute Glenn Beck and his focus on the Totalitarian Progressive Movement. He is personally attacked and vilified Alinsky style. The Progressives never go after what he says or his findings on their movement. They seek to silence him, so they can intimidate others who might speak out, on the evil nature of their movement. Many Crypto-Stalinist/Neo-Fascist blogs like Moveon.org, Media Matters, Little Green Footballs, Daily Kos and Think Progress launch daily attacks on Glenn, but never do they go after what he is saying.

I don’t always agree with Beck’s political views, but his exposing of the Transnational Totalitarian Progressive Movement is dead on. I will support his de-masking of this vile and evil movement.

Update: here is a Video from the Glenn beck show exposing Van Jones. It is factual and the Left can’t refute it.

Van Jones is a danger and he must be watched!

Glenn Beck calls the Government the Devil and Charles Johnson attacks him

Glenn Beck gave his opinion that the government is like the devil. Charles Johnson who is on a Jihad against Conservatives/Libertarians, attacks Beck. He claims the statement is irresponsible. I for one agree that the current US government is like the Devil! It is lying and deceiving with bad intentions. This is an excuse for Charles who is looking for any pretext to attack Glenn. After all Beck did point out the fact Charles Johnson is a washed up Jazz Musician.

Here is Charles attacking Glenn beck.

Glenn Beck: ‘The Government is the Devil’

Moonbats | Fri, May 8, 2009 at 11:54:04 am PDT

Glenn Beck continues his string of loony, irresponsible, extremist statements by saying, “The government is the devil.”

From his May 5th radio show:

GLENN:  No, did he say — go quote the scripture to your professor.  Ask him, did Jesus say when a man asks for your shirt, you give the government your coat, also, and have the government give that coat to the man?  No.  The government is a middleman.  The government is acting in the role of Lucifer.  They are taking stuff from you.  They are forcing you — yes, I did, I did just say, yes, the government is the devil.  They are taking your choices from you.  There is — you ask your professor this.  I hope you’re writing this stuff down and I want to hear the answers from this nut job of a professor.  You ask this — you ask your professor this:  At what point — now, jeez, I just lost it.  What were we talking about before that?  The government is the devil, I remember that.

Here’s a post that explains where Beck got his apocalyptic rant — from Ezra Taft Benson and Cleon Skousen: Glenn Beck and Mormonism Redux.

Mormon readers (or listeners, as it may be) will probably recognize the last two sentences as a variation on a standard Sunday School theme. The scriptural allusion is to Moses 4:3 (Pearl of Great Price) in which the Lord reveals that in the pre-mortal existence, “Satan rebelled against me, and sought to destroy the agency of man.” There’s nothing particularly apocalyptic about the verse or the idea in and of itself. But again, Beck is utilizing the verse as a social commentary on what he views as the twin political threats (socialism and fascism) facing America thanks to the Obama administration. And again, it seems that he is most likely taking his talking points from the political writings of Ezra Taft Benson and Cleon Skousen which opposed Soviet Communism (see here for a sampling of relevant quotes by Benson, noting the similarities to Beck’s own language).

This isn’t surprising considering that Beck apparently sees Obama as a sort of young, black Lenin (or, worse yet, a threat the world hasn’t seen since the days of Hitler and Nazi Germany). But it is a bit surprising considering that such rhetoric has been out of vogue among most Mormons for some time. What remains to be seen is whether conservative Mormons (of boththe Republican and libertarian stripe) buy into Beck’s apocalyptic discourse, and whether such acceptance will indeed signal the rebirth of Bensonian politics within the LDS church (at least at a grassroots level). Furthermore, it will be interesting to see what response Beck’s (unattributed but unmistakable) invocation of Mormon scripture and Mormon prophetic folklore in expressing his political philosophy garners from the conservative evangelical crowd.

He has Glenn Beck labeled as a “Moonbat”. How is this possible since Beck is on the Right. Charles Johnson has now become the Keith Olbermann of the blogosphere. he repeats Leftist talking points and doesn’t allow debate. Charles, if you have any courage, call the Glenn Beck show and debate him. Then again we are talking about someone who like Olbermann is an Intelectual Coward.

Update: After reading this again, Charles takes a shot at Mormons also. Expect Threads bashing Mormons at LGF!

Update II: “Killgore Trout” from LGF now attacks us and states that we remind him of the Old LGF!  Well “Killgore” that is what The Blogmocracy: LGF2.0 is about.  It is about to have an exchange of ideas and have fun. Obviously he is happy that the religious lizards have been banned.

After reading the comments on the stalker blog about this thread I’m reminded of the old LGF. Not only has no one this thread started bashing Mormons but nobody is screaming about how their religious feelings were hurt by this thread. This is an improvement.

No “Killgore”, The Blogmocracy: LGF2.0, is the improvement.
