We interrupt the normally scheduled Obama sucks thread on a breaking matter. Far left Progressive sports caster and failed pundit, Keith Olbermann once again has meltdown. Although he makes valid points in criticism the acts of Penn State students turning a charity event into festival. Olbermann goes overboard and gets personal.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – ESPN has suspended Keith Olbermann for his controversial remarks about Penn State on Twitter.

On Twitter, Olbermann got into it with students and fans over the school’s annual pediatric cancer fundraiser called “Thon.”

[…]

A student sent Olbermann a tweet saying “We Are!” with a link to the news on the Thon.

That’s when Olbermann responded “pitiful.”

That led to multiple tweet to several people including these:

Olbermann-Pitt Olbermann-Pitt2 Olbermann-Pitt3

ESPN suspended Olbermann over his actions on Twitter and put out a statement.

We are aware of the exchange Keith Olbermann had on Twitter last night regarding Penn State. It was completely inappropriate and does not reflect the views of ESPN. We have discussed it with Keith, who recognizes he was wrong. ESPN and Keith have agreed that he will not host his show for the remainder of this week and will return on Monday. The annual tradition of THON and the efforts of the students of Penn State to fight pediatric cancer should be applauded.

Even when Olbermann has a point, he acts like a jerk.

al-Qaeda was upset at Keith Olbermann’s firing

I started my blogging days over at Olbermanwatch around 2004. It kept track of Keith Olbermann’s far Left lunatic rants. The common joke we had was calling him Tehran Keith as he openly supported al-Qaeda in Iraq and Hizb’Allah. That’s why this report that al-Qaeda was upset at his firing was no shock to me. MSNBC is openly pro-Islamist.

When MSNBC discarded Keith Olbermann, al-Qaida mourned.

So reports David Ignatius, the Washington Post columnist who has gained exclusive access to some of the documents recovered from Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

In his Wednesday column in the Washington Post, Ignatius reported on the details of a 21-page letter to bin Laden written by al-Qaida media adviser Adam Gadahn. Though the letter was undated, Ignatius says that it was likely written sometime after November 2010.

[….]
“He worries that CNN ‘seems to be in cooperation with the government more than the others,’ though he praises its ‘good and detailed’ Arabic coverage. ‘I used to think that MSNBC channel may be good and neutral a bit,’ he continues, but then notes the firing of Olbermann.”
Keith Olbermann was a spokesman and apologist  for the Islamic cause. and  MSNBC just regurgitates Islamic propaganda. Anyone doubts the existence of the Progressive-Islamic Axis?

Keith Olbermann is back

The only man on Earth who makes Chuck look sane returns. Just like the man child ex Jazz guitarist, Keith Olbermann is has the mind of a child. He thinks Fox News is at the center of some global conspiracy aimed at him. He will be be anchoring a show at AL Gore’s Current TV.

Keith Olbermann likes looking into a camera. The return of its gaze animates him and reminds him that he has a million friends on the other side of it. But he doesn’t picture those people. He talks directly to the camera. “I’ve never been convinced the cameras are plugged into anything,” he said.

[….]

“Switch seats with me,” he said pleasantly. “I want to be in the Fox Sports shot of home plate. They usually cut it off right here,” he said, indicating the arm of the seat between us. “It’s fun to mess with them.”

He should guest blog on Little Green Footballs.

Why was Keith Olbermann shown the door at MSNBC?

It’s all about the Benjamins, and by that, I am not solely referring to Olbermann’s unauthorized campaign donations to skanky left-wing candidates.

Keith Olbermann ‘Suspended Indefinitely Without Pay’ (Updated)

November 5, 2010 – By Bryan Preston

MSNBC has a Special Comment for Keith Olbermann: You’re done. At least for now. Reason: He contributed to a trio of Dems who were on the ticket this year, while commenting on their races.

Keith Olbermann, MSNBC’s primetime firebrand host, has been suspended indefinitely for violating the ethics policies of his employer earlier this year when he donated to three Democrats seeking federal office, MSNBC announced Friday.

“I became aware of Keith’s political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay,” MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement.

First reported by Politico and confirmed by Federal Election Commission filings, the primetime television host gave $2,400 – the maximum individual amount allowed – to each of the campaigns of Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway, and Arizona Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords.

If this turns out to be a permanent suspension (a firing, in other words), I suspect, though, that the ethical breach was just the last straw. Ed at Hot Air has more on the ins and outs of NBC’s policy. The fact is, Olbermann’s numbers just haven’t been strong at all. He had been trending downward for most of the past two years. So had everyone else at MSNBC, but Olbermann was supposed to be the flagship guy, the MSNBC answer to O’Reilly and Fox. But most of the time he just came across as the little dog snipping and yipping at the big dog.

Olbermann is notoriously difficult to work with and for, and has a very obvious tendency to center the universe upon himself. That’s tolerable if you’re a winner, less so if you’re not. And in the ratings game, he just isn’t…

The pitfalls of self-worship

Olbermann, in other words, is a prima donna and a legend in his own mind, who not only irritates his co-workers and superiors at MSNBC, but also has lost whatever currency he once had with MSNBC’s audience.

As Preston points out in a link he provided in an update to his article, MSNBC is expected to be sold to Comcast by the end of 2010. Current MSNBC President Phil Griffin wants to keep his job. What better way to do that than by using whatever rationale is available to cut anybody who is no longer bringing home the bacon? One can only hope that the annoying, androgynous leftist harridan Rachel Maddow will also be soon to go.
