Martin & Zimmerman & Vice Versa

I want to talk about the Martin/Zimmerman case. I’m not interested in adding to the hyperbole of the pundits, whether left or right, or opining about bizarre court protocol. Let’s just talk about perceptions.

Say a neighborhood has had some burglaries, and there’s a man who volunteers to be a watchman. He believes he’s helping to prevent more burglaries. He sees someone lurking near houses, as if casing them, and does the proper thing: he calls the police and follows their advice.

Meanwhile another guy in the neighborhood decides to visit a store to buy some snacks. Because it’s raining, he decides to walk under the eaves of the houses, rather than on the sidewalk. He smoked some marijuana, but otherwise he’s just on his way back to where he was staying.

That’s when things fell apart, and there’s no reason for me to speculate on why. One man died, one man survived, due to each having different perceptions of the circumstances. One believed he was preventing a burglary, one believed he was being stalked. The baseline of the story is that both guys misinterpreted the situation, and it resulted in the death of one; the other sustained injuries.

This scenario is not uncommon (and it’s way too common in the streets of Chicago) so why has it come to national prominence? The liberal MainStreamMedia loves to concoct stories about racism because the President of the United States happens to be half-black, and it gives them grist for a story, no matter how implausible the story is.

Trayvon Martin, in case you didn’t notice, is black. Early reports by the MSM painted George Zimmerman as a racist white guy, then as a Jew (in their view even better). When they found out that George Zimmerman was actually of Latino ancestry, they spazzed out. Overnight, Zimmerman became a “White-Hispanic” (as if all Hispanic countries with large white populations are comprised of racists). It’s also telling that MSM stories are about Trayvon and Zimmerman, not Martin and George.

You’ve all seen the ubiquitous side-by side image of Martin and Zimmerman so there’s no point in posting it here.  But then I found this:

Martin Zimmerman White Black2

My first impression of this photoshop was of blatant race-baiting, which it is.  It implies that if Martin were Caucasian and Zimmerman were black, the outcome would be different. Zimmerman would be guilty because the US Criminal Justice System is supposedly inherently racist. It isn’t, but let’s suppose it is.

For argument’s sake, let’s assume that Martin was white and Zimmerman was black. A white 6-foot tall high school football player is spotted acting strangely by a security patrol who happens to be black. The white teenager pummels the black man who draws a weapon. The white man is fatally injured. The teenager’s girlfriend testifies that he described his stalker as “a creepyass nigga.”

Guess how the MSM would play that story.

They would play it exactly the same, because liberals WANT racial strife in the USA. After all, Trey could’ve been my son.

Eric Margolis: Lying Serb-basher and all-around shill for the jihad

Letters to the Editor letters@thesundaily.com:

In your article, One of America’s Finest Hours, it is apparent that Eric Margolis supports the well known phrase by Goebbels, “Tell a lie a hundred time and it becomes the truth.”

On what planet is Margolis living? For the past seven years, four major humanitarian organizations did research on these Balkan Civil Wars and to use their words: “We are having difficulty coming up with 100,000 victims on all sides.” America’s finest hour has been our State Department’s skill at hoodwinking the rest of the world.

Margolis has no evidence that “160,000 Muslims were slaughtered” or that “10,000 Bosnian girls were gang raped.” He supports the Partisan Press that claimed for 8 years that there were “300,000 Bosnian Muslims killed.” He personally used that figure in numerous articles. President Clinton increased that fictitious death count to “350,000” during his last inaugural address. Margolis makes clear that his finest hour is specializing in yellow journalism and hate speech.

Lies, manipulation, distortions and race baiting by the media have revealed the depth to which Margolis and his ilk will stoop for a byline and prove that few, if any, do any real research. Has political journalism become so difficult that a writer needs to resort to lies, or worse, fiction?

William Dorich, Los Angeles

The writer is the author of six books on Balkan history, including his 1992 book, Kosovo. His current book is Serbia: Faces & Places.

According to Wikipedia, Margolis’ mother is Albanian and he is heavily involved with Pakistani and other Muslim media outlets.

Eric S. Margolis (born 1942 or 1943)[1] is an American-born journalist and writer. For 27 years, ending in 2010,[2] he was a contributing editor to the Toronto Sun[3] chain of newspapers, writing mainly about the Middle East, South Asia and Islam. He contributes to the Huffington Post and appears frequently on Canadian television broadcasts, as well as on CNN.[4] A multinational, he holds residences in New York, Paris, and Banff, Canada.[5] Margolis is the owner of Canadian vitamin manufacturer Jamieson Laboratories.[6]

This is reason enough to boycott Jamieson Laboratories.

Margolis was born in New York City in 1947 to Henry M. Margolis, and Nexhmie Zaimi, an American-Albanian. His father was a New York businessman, restaurant owner, theatrical producer and investor, while his mother was a journalist and author. Eric Margolis holds degrees from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, the University of Geneva and New York University. During the Vietnam War he enlisted in the U.S. Army.

Margolis writes a regular column for the Huffington Post and also writes for Dawn,[7] an English language Pakistani newspaper, the Gulf Times[8] in Qatar, the Khaleej Times[9] in Dubai, New York Times[10] and The American Conservative[11][12] . He appears regularly on such television outlets as CNN,[4] Fox, CBC,[4] British Sky Broadcasting News, NPR, and CTV.[13][14] He is a regular guest on the TV Ontario’s The Agenda[15]‘.

He is affiliated with several organizations including International Institute of Strategic Studies[16] in London and the Institute of Regional Studies[4] based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Margolis has argued that the American government may have been behind the 9/11 attacks. On September 10, 2010, in a column on his website[21] Margolis declares “we still do not know the real story about 9/11.” Margolis’ arguments include, the Osama Bin Laden tapes are fakes, questioning why the Air Force didn’t shoot down the planes, asserting a lack of plane wreckage at the Pentagon, and repeating the theory that 9/11 was “staged by Israel’s Mossad and a cabal of right-wing US Air Force generals” without criticizing the theory. While saying there is no “hard evidence” that Americans were behind 9/11, he adds “What, in the end, can we conclude? … The attacks plunged America into wars against the Muslim world and enriched the US arms industry[,] boosted pro-Israel neo-conservatives [and] destroyed one of Israel’s two main enemies.”[22]

Captured records show that al-Qaeda bigwigs correctly identified Eric Margolis as a reliable shill for the ummah:

Toronto Sun: Canadian reporters named in al-Qaida spin plans

By Jessica Murphy, Parliamentary Bureau

OTTAWA – Al-Qaida was a “moribund organization” that was “grasping at straws” with a proposed spin campaign to mark the tenth anniversary of 9/11, says a Canadian journalist named by the terror group in newly declassified documents.

“What kind of media blitz is going to make a blip of difference 10 years after the event?” said Gwynne Dyer in an telephone interview from London, England. “But what else was (Osama bin Laden) going to do on the 10th anniversary? Have a drink?”

Dyer, a columnist and broadcaster, and Eric Margolis [emphasis added], a veteran Middle East correspondent, are the two Canadians among a number of journalists cherry-picked by the terror group for the contemplated “media strategy,” according to documents seized in a raid on bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan last year.

Also named were New Yorker contributor Seymour Hersh, Beirut-based Robert Fisk and senior ABC correspondent Brian Ross.

According to the proposed plan, 30 to 50 reporters would have been given a website address and password to access the materials in the run-up to Sept. 11, 2011.

What the above Toronto Sun article does not mention is that Sun Media, the parent company of Toronto Sun, had already fired Eric Margolis in July, 2010.

Could the Toronto Sun be ashamed that this foaming-at-the-mouth anti-Semite used to write for them? Or have the current news staffers simply forgotten that he was ever there? How the mighty have fallen!

Eric Margolis, Toronto Sun: Appeaser, Jew-hater or moron?

by Klaus Rohrich
Monday, May 8, 2006

Last Sunday’s Toronto Sun featured and article in its comment section by Eric Margolis, the Sun’s foreign correspondent. The gist of the article was that a nuclear Iran posed absolutely no threat to the rest of the world, as the Iranians were A) cognizant of the fact that if they did start a nuclear incident they would be totally annihilated by the Americans and B) Iran did not possess the technological capability to deliver a nuclear weapon to a selected target and C) the Americans and Israelis with their nuclear capability were the real threat to world peace.

In the article Margolis made a number of claims that were highly dubious, if not outright lies and I questioned the competence of the Sun’s fact checkers printing his piece without the usual due diligence. For instance, Margolis claims that he was opposed to the invasion of Iraq in 2002 because he knew that Iraq couldn’t possibly be a threat, even if they were in possession of WMDs, as they did not have the capability to deliver them. Margolis claims that Saddam’s most advance missile could only fly a distance of some 130 kms.

A quick check of the Federation of American Scientists’ (FAS) web site would have revealed that not only did the Iraqis have missiles that went a lot further than what Margolis claims they were capable of, they were actually used against Israel and Saudi Arabia during the first Gulf War in 1991. According to the FAS, the Iraqis’ Al Husayn and Al Hijarah scud-type missiles had a range of well over 600 kms, sufficient to reach most of Israel. Short memory or loose ethics?

Margolis also posited that the Mullahs in Iran were from 5-10 years away from perfecting nuclear weapons, so there was no need for the world to get its knickers in a knot. Wasn’t that the same attitude that the Clinton administration had toward North Korea when it attempted to “negotiate” them out of completing a WMD program? Today North Korea is capable of delivering a nuclear warhead to many parts of the United States.

Most galling of all was Margolis’s cavalier rationale why Iran would never nuke Israel. He conceded that the Iranians were capable of hitting Israel as well as some American bases in the Gulf, but claimed they would not do so as any nuclear strike in that region “would blow back on Iran”.

Maybe Margolis was sleeping last week when the chief Iranian nutter, Ahmed Ahmadinejad said they don’t care if there is a nuclear exchange with Israel, as there are only six million Jews (an interesting number) in Israel versus nearly a billion Muslims in the world. Israel could conceivably be eradicated with two or three nukes, as the area that Israel covers is slightly less than that of New Jersey. At its narrowest point Israel is only about 8 miles wide.

Margolis rationalizes that if Iran is really developing nuclear weapons it is for reasons of “national prestige and self-defense”, because Israel and the evil Jews have an estimated 200 nuclear weapons ready to go.

He also dismissed the idea that Iran might give nukes to terrorists, claiming that Iran was at odds with both the Sunnis of Iraq, Al Qaeda, as well as the Taliban. He also explained that nuclear weapons are easy to trace because of each nuke’s unique signature. So if Trenton, New Jersey disappears into a smoking mound of radioactive rubble the Americans will be able to track down the source and obliterate it. My question is if a country loves death as much as many fundamentalist Islamic nations do, what do they care, so long as they inflict grievous harm on the Great Satan, America.

I think Margolis’s anti-Bush, anti-neocon (read that as Jews) and anti-Semitic sentiments have gone to his head and have affected his sense of reason. That’s a shame. But a greater shame is that such drivel finds its way into what was once a fine newspaper.

LA Times Won’t Let You See the Video of Barack Obama with Rabid Anti-Semite Terror Supporter Rashid Khalidi

Smiley digging a hole

The Mainstream Media Buries Every Negative Story about Barack Hussein Obama:

They’ll bury it and they’ll keep it buried, even when they have all of the proof on video. Under the US Constitution, our free press has the right (and, arguably, the duty) to expose public as well as private wrongdoing. Instead, our mainstream media organizations have become consolidated into a small, closed, wealthy clique that opposes and flouts the beliefs and values of most of its audience. They support and protect hard-left/pro-jihadi/radical-environmental (“red-green-green”) politicians and causes – especially Obama and his policies – while trying its hardest to clear the GOP field of any conservative strong enough to unseat him.

What story is being buried? It’s Barack and Michelle Obama’s longtime association and close friendship with former PLO operative and rabid anti-Semite, Rashid Khalidi.

American Thinker: A GOP Candidate’s Bitter Ex-Wife Receives More Coverage Than a Video of Obama Dining with Terrorist-Supporters

(h/t: Diane)

By Lauri B. Regan
[…]
However, of greater importance in my view is the silence, save for a few journalists and pundits on the right, regarding exposing a videotape recorded in 2003 of Barack Obama at the farewell dinner for terrorist-supporting Palestinian Rashid Khalidi. News of the videotape’s existence came to light while Obama was a candidate, and the free pass given to him by the mainstream media was only just beginning to come to light when the enamored Chris Matthews’ shared news of the tingle up his leg.
[…]
But there is a videotape sitting in the vaults of the Los Angeles Times, and every American should be screaming from the rooftops for its release. In light of the Arab Spring, Obama’s endless attempts to bully Israel into succumbing to all sorts of unprecedented and unsafe demands in the hopes that he would go down in history as the POTUS who made peace between the Israelis and Palestinians, and the administration’s ineptness in addressing Iran’s nuclear program and military threats, exposing this videotape is of utmost importance.

In April 2010, Roger L. Simon published an article on PajamasMedia entitled, “Why is the L.A. Times Burying the Obama/Khalidi Tape?” Of further consequence is why the media — and Americans — are not demanding that the L.A. Times immediately release the tape. Simon wrote:

The Khalidi tape could be of tremendous significance in revealing the provenance of Obama’s views on the Middle East and the degree to which the public was misled on those views during the presidential campaign[.] …

So what are we to think? We have an administration that not only ascribes most of the Middle East blame to Israel, but also has banned “Islamism” and all related words, even “Islam” and “jihad” from our national security documents. They’re completely gone. Indeed, even the Fort Hood massacre, so clearly inspired by Islamic extremism, has now been shifted into the comfortable category of the lone, angry killer. Rashid Khalidi should be happy. And, in fact, he is.

Sometimes I want to yell and scream. What is wrong with the Los Angeles Times? Are they a news organization or the propaganda wing of some leftover unit of the IWW? No wonder subscribers are deserting them in droves.

While I am sure that Simon’s questions were rhetorical, I will answer the obvious. Of course the paper is a propaganda tool. Were it not for the internet and cable television, true news organizations would no longer exist. It was recently reported that Jerusalem Post editor Steve Linde quoted Bibi Netanyahu calling The New York Times and Haaretz Israel’s two main enemies because “they set the agenda for an anti-Israel campaign all over the world.” Netanyahu denies making this exact statement, but there is no question that both papers’ reporting reflects a bias that can be characterized only as anti-Israel propaganda. Taken a step further, there is no question that the mainstream media as a whole has become completely entrenched in propaganda, bias, anti-Israel and anti-American sentiment, and indoctrination based on liberal, progressive values that are completely out of the “mainstream.”

The public will never understand that the Islamists taking over the Mideast are not moderate, will not promote democracy, are not friends of the United States, and wish the ultimate destruction of the West if the public reads and relies upon only The New York Times, L.A. Times, MSNBC, or similar tools of the left for its “news” and information. Americans will not understand the implications of four more years of a pro-Islamist president if they do not understand what Islamism is all about. And they will not know who is sitting in the White House making policy decisions based on personal biases if the media continues to promote Obama’s agenda rather than investigate and report.

So why is the videotape of such paramount importance? Simon quotes from an article published in the L.A.Times discussing the tape and its contents:

[A] young Palestinian American recited a poem accusing the Israeli government of terrorism in its treatment of Palestinians and sharply criticizing U.S. support of Israel. If Palestinians cannot secure their own land, she said, “then you will never see a day of peace.”

One speaker likened “Zionist settlers on the West Bank” to Osama bin Laden, saying both had been “blinded by ideology.”

Furthermore, rumors abound regarding additional messages that may or may not have been openly shared at the dinner in Obama’s presence. Ted Belman reported at Israpundit that he has a reliable source that “the audio tape clearly picks up the toast ‘death to Israel’.” Did Obama drink to the death of an American ally that he has been actively intimidating, browbeating, and dissing since he phoned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on his first day in office? Does Obama liken Israelis living in the West Bank to Osama bin Laden, whose death he claims as his greatest foreign policy accomplishment?

Simon concluded his article with a request that readers send in suggestions on how to make the contents of the tape public. Apparently Donald Trump missed this request when he wasted the media’s energy pushing for the release of Obama’s birth certificate — something with which Obama is still having fun as he mocked the birthers at the Golden Globe awards last week.

But I highly doubt that the POTUS, who had his worldview formed while sitting in the pews of Israel-bashing Jeremiah Wright and at the dinner table of anti-Semite Khalidi, will be mocking people who care enough to properly vet his credentials by urging the release of the tape. And I venture a guess that if the videotape is released, Barack Obama will be packing his bags at the end of this year. But that is a big “if” because until the media stops obsessing over the infidelities of the GOP candidates and starts doing its job, Barack Obama’s chances of a second term continue to scare the living daylights out of those who understand its implications.

Mitt Romney ignores Conservative media

Should Mitt Romney be the GOP nominee, he would be the most Leftwing Republican since Teddy Roosevelt. He is so far Left, that Bill Clinton is a Conservative compared to him. In a sign of his Progressive nature, Romney doesn’t interact with Conservative media. Instead he only gives interviews to Progressive outlets kike MSNBC.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Mitt Romney is running for president as a Republican, but his recent media strategy includes granting exclusive interviews to news outlets that cater to a liberal audience.

Romney last week granted one-on-one interviews in Iowa to both MSNBC and the Huffington Post, among the best-known sources of news for liberals in the country. In recent weeks, he also gave interviews to The Washington Post, The New York Times and Politico.

It’s a peculiar strategy for someone who has had trouble convincing conservatives throughout this race he’s one of them.

Mitt Romney is a Leftist and if he should be the GOP nominee, say hello to Obama’s 2nd term.
