Mike Tyson Speaks out against the Knockout Game and Obamacare

Say whatever you want about Mike Tyson, but he pulls no punches when he speaks. In an interview Piers Morgan, he calls the knock out game cowardly and those that engage in it as evil.  He also discusses the Obamcare and feels it should be scrapped and a new Healthcare reform enacted. When asked by Morgan if Obama should do more to help Blacks, Tyson said Blacks need to improve themselves and not count on any President to help them.

If Republicans had any brains, they would try to recruit Mike Tyson to be a spokesman. But I doubt this will happen since Republicans have no sense of using the Popular Culture to their advantage.

I saw this interview on Foxnews with Mike Tyson and it shocked me. He spoke favorably about the Reagan and Bush Presidencies and the concept of keeping your money. He then made a sarcastic joke about Obamacare, saving him money.

Former boxer-turned-Broadway star Mike Tyson — who owes millions in back taxes — said Monday that he hopes Obamacare will help him save money.

“I look forward to paying my taxes. … I know that they say that’s legal extortion, but I’m living in this country, and if I have to pay taxes — that’s the money I paid for my life on earth. My wife, my family — I got one of the biggest liberal families in the world, but I had more money when Bush and Reagan was president,” Tyson said laughing on Fox News’s “Fox and Friends.”

“Bush and Reagan had this idea that you should keep your money,” Fox host Brian Kilmeade said.

“Yeah, I like that to work for me. I like that one. I’m going to work on that, too, with this Obama administration, hoping this Obamacare helps us keep some money,” Tyson said.

Mike Tyson is actually talking some sense for once! Next time I am in NY, I will check out his show. I always found Tyson to be hilarious.

Mike Tyson to appear in One Man Broadway show

Mike Tyson’s metamorphosis from Boxing bad boy to humorous entertainer continues. Spike Lee has agreed to direct Mike Tyson’s one man show on Broadway. That’s right, Mike Tyson will have a Broadway Show.He will mock himself and tell his life story to people.

Mike Tyson is heading to Broadway.  The former Heavyweight champ and controversial personality is doing a limited engagement one-man show about his life, called “Mike Tyson: The Undisputed Truth.”

At a press conference Monday announcing the show, Tyson described “The Undisputed Truth” as the raw tale of his life.

“It’s about me being on stage and being pretty raw.  Not necessarily raw in a vulgar sense … I’m just naked and vulnerable, and I’m just telling you who I am and where I’m from and how this happened and how I lose all this damn money and how I had all these children and how I go to prison and, you know, you know what happened guys, right?” he said.

Spike Lee makes his Broadway directorial debut with “The Undisputed Truth.”  At Monday’s press conference, Lee discussed how brave he thinks Tyson is for doing the show.

[….]

So what will audiences learn when they see the show?

“They’ll find out that my mother is a prostitute, my father’s a pimp and I come from a real, um, this — I don’t know what — the sex worker world and stuff, you know.  That’s why I look at the world from a different perspective than most people when I was a young kid,” Tyson said.

The former boxer said the show is part of his effort to move his life in a positive direction.

This is good therapy for Mike Tyson.  Comedy is the best way to let your feelings out. I am not a hater and congratulate Tyson in his increasing role as a comedian. Hopefully he stays on this positive path.

Mike Tyson’s take on The George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin case

One of Mike Tyson’s greatest flaws is that he thin. In reality Tyson is not the brightest bulb on the planet. In a departure from his recent change in image, Mike Tyson goes off the rails. He says that George Zimmerman should be shot!

My personal feeling is that, as a young kid that was beat on by a bully, the guy [Zimmerman] stalked him and didn’t follow instructions from a superior officer. But my all-around perspective, I wasn’t there. I don’t know what happened. Even though this is the best country in the world, certain laws in this country are a disgrace to a nation of savages. It’s a majority versus a minority. That’s the way God planned it. He didn’t want to do something about it, He wanted us to do something about it. We have to continue tweeting, we have to continue marching, we have to continue fighting for Trayvon Martin. If that’s not the case, he was killed in vain, and we’re just waiting for it to happen to our children. It’s a disgrace that man hasn’t been dragged out of his house and tied to a car and taken away. Forget about him being arrested—the fact that he hasn’t been shot yet is a disgrace. That’s how I feel personally about it.

Mike Tyson needs to stick to comedy and singing. Like Charles Johnson, current events are not his strengths.
