Man Hasn’t Washed Face In 46 Years

Seattle, WA (Strutts News Services) – Dennis Mitchell, born at the age of four in 1951, was immortalized by his cartoonist father Hank Ketcham in the now world famous comic strip, “Dennis the Menace.”

Over the decades Hank Ketcham left black and white emotional scars daily (and three-color ones Sundays) on his pen-and-ink son Dennis, who later became a wealthy recluse in his adult years.

Dennis, the ultimate rugrat, turned 18 in 1965, and has never washed his face since, although he admits to taking weekly baths in his natatorium that he refers to as “The Moat.”

When asked why he still refuses to wash his face, Dennis, now 64, responded without emotion, “Why not? You’re not my mother,” and promptly returned to a large leather-upholstered rocking chair facing the northeast corner of his crayon-enhanced living room in Belmont Shores, California.

Professor Predicts Billions Will Die

Famous English scientist, philosopher, scholar and *ahem* radio personality Professor  C.E.M. Joad was right – in 1939.

Approximately 134 million people have died since 1939 – in the U.S. alone.
“Oh, but that’s only millions,” says the modern skeptic/denier/pissant.

Given that the world population in 1939 was ±2.3 billion, and  today it’s closer to about 7 billion, using co-polemic effulgence theory coupled with Algebra XIV, we can safely assume that Professor Joad’s prediction was correct, i.e.,
“Billions will die.” And that they did. Or maybe only a billion did – so far. We’re still counting. From Wiki:

In his early life, Joad very much shared the desire for the destruction of the Capitalist system. He was expelled from the Fabian Society in 1925, because of sexual misbehaviour at its summer school and did not rejoin until 1943. In 1931, disenchanted with Labour in office, Joad became Director of Propaganda for the New Party. Owing to the rise of Oswald Mosley’s Pro-Fascist sympathies, Joad resigned, along with John Strachey. Soon after he became bitterly opposed to Nazism, but he continued to refuse military service. Joad gave his support to many pacifist organizations.

Seems like some folks *wink wink nudge nudge* have not moved beyond the doomsday hysteria of 1939 and are playing the same games today. Whether dead or alive, we proudly mock them here on The Overnight Open Thread.

On last night’s OOT, Guggi triggered a memory of my own favorite party, and I posted this:

The best party I attended was in Amarillo Texas. Two dozen guys from around the country showed up for a 3-day foosball tournament. Ohio, Texas, Montana and a couple of other states were represented. The entry fee covered food, beer, rock and roll, and trophies. Seven kegs rolled that weekend.

Foosball teams were chosen from a hat, and the games were set up like a pool. First place went to Danny Rat and the Saint; 2nd went to brothers Dog & Weasel; Rockin’ Roland and I pulled in at 3rd place.

All us trophy winners came from the same high school, having played in the same basement. Fun times.

Thank God we didn’t have the internet. =)

As for the foos table above, that would make for a never-ending game unless you had several balls zipping around at the same time. And speaking of balls, it’s time for The Overnight Open Thread.

64.7% of Non-Registered Eligible Voters Support a 3rd Party

According to a recent survey conducted by BlogMocPolls™ a large majority of 22 year-old white male non-registered eligible voters would support a 3rd party because they couldn’t remember the first two.

64.7% of the non-registered eligible voters polled in Rudy’s backyard last weekend said that they’d register to vote if the Party Party was established. The remaining 35.3% wavered between the Toga Party and the Hot Chicks Naked In Jacuzzis With Beer Party.

Despite the small sampling, the poll had a margin of error just slightly larger than this sample of The Overnight Open Thread.
