The False Messiah leads Romney and Santorum

In order to defeat someone, you must offer a clear decisive alternative. The current two front runners Santorum and Romney, are Big Government Nanny State Progressives. The result is, that The False Messiah now leads them according to a Pew Poll. Even more ominous, he beats them with with more than 50% of the vote. Just a month ago, Romney and Obama were neck and and neck.

Obama leads Santorum by 10 points among all registered voters (53% to 43%) and his lead

over Romney is nearly as large (52% to 44%).

Romney ran about even with Obama in November and mid-January. Obama has a larger

advantage over Newt Gingrich than over Santorum or Romney: Obama leads the former

House speaker by 18 points (57% to 39%). Obama has made gains among independent

voters. Today, 51% of independents favor Obama in a matchup against Romney, up from

40% a month ago.Romney ran about even with Obama in November and mid-January. Obama has a larger advantage over Newt Gingrich than over Santorum or Romney: Obama leads the former

House speaker by 18 points (57% to 39%). Obama has made gains among independent

voters. Today, 51% of independents favor Obama in a matchup against Romney, up from

40% a month ago.

This is disturbing news. When you have weak opponets, this is what happens. The False Messiah is laughing at the weakness of the Republican Party.

Obama crushes Mitt Romney with Hispanic voters 68%-23%, Newt gets 36%

Let me make this clear. I oppose illegal Immigration. However, I view it more as a criminal, national security issue. That’s the position most Hispanic Conservatives have. What I don’t support is demonization of Hispanics as all being illegal which is the attitude many in the GOP have. Mitt Romney has embraced this attitude and has run a vile Nativist and bigoted campaign. The result is that according to a Pew Research Poll, he gets crushed among Hispanic voters by Obama by a 68%-23% margin.

Against former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Mr. Obama wins 68 percent to 23 percent among Latino registered voters. Obama also beats Texas Gov. Rick Perry, 69 percent to 23 percent.  

The fast-growing Hispanic population represents a crucial voting bloc next November. Republicans acknowledge that their nominee must do better against Obama in 2012 than John McCain did in 2008, when Obama won 67 percent of the Hispanic vote, versus 31 percent for Senator McCain. In 2004, when President George W. Bush was reelected, he won 44 percent of the Hispanic vote.

I am surprised by Rick Perry’s weak showing. That might be due to other factors, such as Perry’s debate gaffes. There is one Republican who gets close to the 40% mark needed to win, that is Newt Gingrich.

As for Newt Gingrich, a separate survey in early November by the Pew Research Center showed Obama beating the former House speaker among Hispanic voters, 61 percent to 36 percent.

AT 36%, Newt is close to the 40% needed for teh GOP to win. In the 2010 Midtersm the GOP got 38%-40% depending on the survey. The result was an electoral victory. If the GOP doesn’t court the Hispanic vote, they may well become a permanent minority as odds are a New Rightwing Party will merge that will appeal to Conservative Hispanics. Marco Rubio has been warning the GOP to change its rhetoric in the debate. Clearly, Mitt Romney and the GOP Establishment hasn’t been listening. The choice is the GOP’s. Mitt Romney is hated in the Hispanic community and coudl damage the GOP brand in that community for a long time to come.

This poll should be a wake up call to Conservatives. Being against illegal Immigration, doesn’t mean you have to demonize Hispanics. Illegal is just that, illegal! Is that such a hard concept?

Pew Poll: 2 in 3 Vets Thinks Iraq/Afghan Wars Are a Waste

Veterans who served on active duty during the post-9/11 era consider themselves more patriotic than other Americans, and most see the military as an efficient and meritocratic institution. They have a more positive view than the general public about the overall worth of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars and the tactics the military has used to wage them. Even so, only one-third (34%) of these veterans say that both wars have been worth fighting.

Veterans and members of active duty combat units tend not to be neo-con, nation building, democracy for our enemies the muslims fans.

 

The reason is, they, unlike Bill Kristol et al. actually have to do the hard work.

Majority of Muslims support Sharia

Progressives and some on the Wilsonian Right claim that the vast majority of Muslims worldwide reject sharia law and political Islam. Well this poll ends that talking point. The poll varied country to country but a clear trend is evident. Sharia law is what Muslims want as their legal code. This is why Islamic immigrants demand sharia law in the nations they move to and seek to get special privileges. Islam is not just a religion,. but a complete legal and political culture.

A majority of Muslims around the world welcome a significant role for Islam in their countries’ political life, according to a new poll from the Pew Research Center, but have mixed feelings toward militant religious groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.

According to the survey, majorities in Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan and Nigeria would favor changing current laws to allow stoning as a punishment for adultery, hand amputation for theft and death for those who convert from Islam to another religion. About 85% of Pakistani Muslims said they would support a law segregating men and women in the workplace.

This poll is a reason why Islamic immigration should be frozen. Clearly in their demands for Sharia law this shows immigrants from Dar Al Islam are not compatible with our nation. The Progressives and Wilsonians can make all the excuses they want, but this poll destroys their myths.
