Rick Santorum really has some gall criticizing Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ Magazine on his religious view of homosexuality. The man who lost re-election by 18% and who has used hostile rhetoric when discussing Gays, said that Phil Robertson’s comments were “too crude and coarse.” Although to be fair, Santorum defended the right of Phil speak about his religious views.
As conservatives line up to defend Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson’s right to condemn homosexual sex over the last couple of days, one usual suspect missing from the mix was former senator and presidential candidate Rick Santorum, who has been criticized for making similar statements in the past. When Santorum weighed in on Greta Van Susteren’s Fox show Friday evening, he spent plenty of time defending Robertson, but also tried to distance himself from the “crude and coarse” language.
Rick Santorum really has some gall acting as if Phil Robertson’s tone offended him. He should he read his own history with rhetoric that was outright nasty.
