Never Forget

It’s been seven years since the terrorist attacks on a bright blue September 11 morning.

On this day we bear witness to the human beings whose lives were taken in a fiery act of jihad: the people in the airplanes, the people in the towers and in the Pentagon, the people who were forced to make a terrible choice between burning alive and jumping out into space toward the hard ground below.

We haven’t forgotten their sacrifices, or the hateful ideology that drove their murderers.

And although their capacity to harm us has been diminished, the killers continue to plot.

Remember 9/11/01

On Sept. 11 2001, the Jihad came to America. Now 7 years later Americans either don’t care or like Keith Olbermann openly support the Jihad. This is sickening and madness that Mecca and Medina are still intact. It’s insane that nearly half the country support the Iranian regime. Are we in an alternative universe?

Wake up America, islam is the enemy!

The word that best sums this one up is “classy.” S.C. Dem chair: Palin primary qualification is she hasn’t had an abortion.

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate “whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”  …

Told of McCain’s boost in the new ABC/Washington Post among white women following the Palin pick, Fowler said: ”Just anecdotally, I believe that those white women are Republican women anyway.”

World Hearts Obama

Every single person in the non-America world wants to see Barack Obama elected. OK, that’s a slight exaggeration.

22 countries in a BBC World Service poll would prefer Democratic nominee Barack Obama elected US president instead of his Republican rival John McCain. Obama is preferred by a four to one margin on average across the 22,000 people polled.

But then, a significant number of those non-Americans also think that Israel was behind the 9/11 attacks.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Seven years after the Sept. 11 attacks, there is no consensus outside the United States that Islamist militants from al Qaeda were responsible, according to an international poll published Wednesday.

The survey of 16,063 people in 17 nations found majorities in only nine countries believe al Qaeda was behind the attacks on New York and Washington that killed about 3,000 people in 2001.

On average, 46 percent of those surveyed said al Qaeda was responsible, 15 percent said the U.S. government, 7 percent said Israel and 7 percent said some other perpetrator. One in four people said they did not know who was behind the attacks.

Coincidence, or simply cosmic alignments occurring on a plane beyond our limited perception?
