When the Libyan “Popular Uprising” began back in February, many of us here at the Blogmocracy knew something was fishy. Other prominent Conservative blogs like Hot Air, plus websites like National Review and Weekly Standard, were all calling for intervention Libya. This blog proudly was the only Conservative blog at the time that didn’t repeat the RNC talking points. We said: “stop, something fishy is going on”.

Our resident Jihadi expert, Philip Daniels pointed out there were reports that Al-Qaeda created an Emirate in Eastern Libya. Many were doubtful of this. I knew that Philip was correct and did the following post that same day.

Al-Qaeda sets up Emirate in Libya

As bad as Mumar Qaddafi is, I have been warning many that what will replace him is worse. Well not even a week into this uprising, some of the forces behind it had shown their faces. Al-Qaeda’s Libya branch has declared an Emirate in Eastern Libya. They have sized the port city of Derna and have declared the Emirate of Barqa. They do not intend to just be happy with control of that sector. It also explains why Muslim Brotherhood leader AL-Qadarwi issued a fatwa on Qaddafi. This is a dangerous development and one that can’t be ignored.

Al Qaeda fighters have declared an Islamic emirate in northeast Libya and the leader of that North African nation, Muammar Gadhafi, is reportedly on the run. It might soon be time for the Marines to revisit the shores of Tripoli.

A group of al Qaeda fighters in the eastern Libyan port city of Derna has declared the Islamic Emirate of Barqa, recalling the ancient name for the area. Derna was famous as one of the havens of the Barbary Pirates, and was captured by U.S. Marines in 1805 – the first victory of American arms abroad. While this new al Qaeda conquest may prove to be short-lived, the incident underscores what’s at stake in the chaos erupting in the region. The people in the streets protesting against tyrants are not necessarily fighting for freedom.

This uprising in the Middle East is not like 1989. It’s 1789 and just like the French Revolution the Ancien Regime is crumbling and is soon to be replaced with the modern Jacobins. Anyone who thinks the Muslim Brotherhood has no ties with Al-Qaeda are kidding themselves. They have the same goals and many Brotherhood members have become Al-Qaeda leaders. Qaddafi was not lying when he said foreign forces where trying to remove him. It’s a combination of Tranzi Progressive, Muslim Brotherhood and now Al-Qaeda. This is not to say Col. Qaddafi is the good guy, but he’s better than the alternative.

The Emirate of Barqa is the base that Al-Qaeda hopes it can use to take over Libya then the rest of North Africa. Ironically, they have always said the Caliphate would be formed by a “Popular Uprising” in Islamic nations. Then the borders would be gone and the Ummah will be one. Now their plans might become reality.

Things are looking ugly and with a weak leader like Barrack Hussein Obama in charge it will get worse.

Update:

Qaddafi is now confirming that Al-Qaeda is involved in this uprisng.

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafion Thursday said al-Qaida chief Osama bin Ladenis behind the uprising in his country. Gaddafi made the comments in a phone call to Libyan state TV.

“People were getting all their daily needs … why did you have to get involved with the Bin Laden ideology,” Gaddafi stated.

Gaddafi said that unrest in Libya is “not people’s power” but “international terrorism” in action

Qaddafi is not making this up, There are credible reports of Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood orchestrating this “Popular Uprising”. I will not mention any names, but these Republican politicians who are advocating using US military force to assist this revolt by creating no fly zones don’t have a clue as to what they are talking about. Qaddafi is not a good guy, but he is far preferable to a Muslim Brotherhood/AL-Qaeda regime.

The US needs to stay out of this.

Since then reports have poured in of Al-Qaeda and now even Hizb’Allah. We have done many posts keeping people informed of this. We were one of the few Conservative blogs who pushed this story. We went against FOX News and many Conservative blogs, Commentators and the Republican establishment.

Now in the last week, there has been a shift. Many Conservatives are now openly discussing the Al-Qaeda link of the Libyan rebels. The problem is that the Republican Establishment in Washington is openly supporting Obama’s illegal war in Libya. Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) is ignoring our emails. Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham are calling for an all out invasion of Libya. In fact Ms. Lindsey told Conservatives to not complain about the costs of the war. Clearly the GOP is not listening to the American public whop are now against the war.

I want to thank Guggi for mentioning the French involvement in trumping up this war on Libya. It turns out French President Nicolas Sarkozy wanted a war to boost his re-elect numbers. Also there are reports of a French Oil company being fined by Qaddafi and a contract for Rafael fighters being turned down. As shes stated, this is  a case of European Neo-Colonialism and gun boat diplomacy. In this case, allied with Islamic Imperialism. America should have no part of this conflict

Take pride that this blog was at the Vanguard of Conservative opposition to this Libya war.
