LAAAAAAADIES and GENTLEMEN! Let’s get ready to RUUUUUUUUMBLE!!
It may very well be that the biggest over/under this weekend at the betting tables isn’t going to be on the results of a field of play or speed track. It may be on a debate stage suspiciously timed by Beastie’s campaign to occur opposite Monday Night Football. Where we have been told for months that Beastie would mop up the floor with Donald. Now we’re told, uh, well, don’t “over expect” her performance. I guess they realized that their strategy might backfire now that NFL viewership is down and people might just tune in. Also that certain planted stories have not triggered Trump’s famous tendency to “react”. So here’s hoping Trump listens to his handlers and has a good game strategy for dealing with her. You know, like this:
But back to the real world of sports. Enjoy yours! Brewskis for the House!

Broncos @ Bengals
Lions @ Packers
Ravens @ Jaguars
Browns @ Dolphins
Redskins @ Giants
Raiders @ Titans
49ers @ Seahawks
Rams @ Buccaneers
Chargers @ Colts

Monday’s Game:

Trump v. Beastie
In the American League, the Red Sox, Indians and Rangers all have 5+ game leads on their nearest division rival. Blue Jays and Cardinals hold the current Wild Card spot with Astros hovering over their shoulders.
In the National League, Nationals and Dodgers have the same health lead in their division, but HOW ABOUT THOSE CUBBIES!? 18-game lead over the Cardinals and have secured home field throughout the post-season. Go boys go (I have a soft spot in my heart for those guys). Wild card right now might pit my hometown Giants against MY team, the Mets, with the Cardinals breathing heavy down their necks.
In NASCAR, the Round of 16 toward the Champions continues at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The sweet sixteen (oh man, they would PUNCH me if they heard me call them that) are (in order) Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski, Current Champ Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, Matt Kenseth, Jimmy Johnson, Carl Edwards, Kurt Busch, Jamie McMurray and Tony Stewart (it’s Tony’s final year and well, I don’t see this ending any better than Jeff Gordon’s final year in 2015).
In Golf , the TOUR championship continues in Atlanta, Georgia. I’d talk about a leader but they start playing early and by the time this goes live, the lead could have changed 11ty times. So I’ll settle with giving you the FedEx Cup Standings. The top ten are Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Adam Scott, Jason Day, Paul Casey, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Russel Knox, Emiliano Grillo and Jimmy Walker. If you don’t know these names, take heart: I actually watch and play (well that’s questionable) and I’m not sure about half of them.
In Soccer, my interest hasn’t changed since last year. Meaning non-existent.
