this year’s flu season isn’t awful so far, it’s not as bad as covid was either.

however, lots of pneumonia without a positive covid/rsv/flu a / flu b positive test. something doesn’t look quite right. but, it’s better, i don’t have people decompensating in a couple hours and being tubed.

prolly over reacting and over analyzing.

Auto Dealerships are sucking canal water.

Another historic low was recorded in the overall profits index, which plummeted to 37, the lowest point on record with the exception of the COVID shutdowns in Q2 2020. That index has been falling steadily since reaching its all-time high of 60 in Q3 2021.

    @ buzzsawmonkey:
Of course anthropogic global warming is s total boondoggle. So what did Covid-19 response and Global warming have in common. Both were based on lies. Knowing lies from the very top of the tree. These lies were used as weapons that generated fear and this fear pushed the man and woman in the street to do as they’re’ so called exemplars’ commanded and then demanded by force of law.

When elites openly use fear as the motivating factor in compliance, then one must look at that illicit use of fear and ask the core questions. Why did the elites openly lie and why are the same elites have to use fear as a weapon against the very people who these elites are supposed to serve?

The addendum, is to ask the question of why are the elites are now attempting to sweep the emergent truth under the carpet? I answer the rhetorical question. So that the elites who were so successful in initially suppressing the freedoms of the people in the past, mat now ensure compliance of the elites covert agendas in the immediate future.

Just gpt back from getting pump yanked off by the pretty nurse, and I found I scored a win.

The clinic sends me a “How Was Your Visit” type survey after every infusion, and I answer them. Last time I added a note that they should get rid of the monitor in the waiting area that faces the reception desk, doesn’t face the seating area, no patients watch it, and all it plays is a stupid infomercial over and over and over. Annoying as hell during long wait times.

Today the monitor was off, and nobody knew why until I told them. They thanked me. 😀

    A Reminder:

All the people who want to “regulate the planetary climate” and demand the power and unlimited resources to do so are people who have proven themselves incapable of competently managing and running recently-built, closed, man-made systems. They cannot competently run power grids, or municipal water systems or trash pickup; they cannot competently maintain, let alone repair, the “roads and bridges” they are always prating about; they cannot competently run or maintain the public housing they increasingly want people to live in, or the public transportation systems that they want people to rely on.
More than that; they cannot competently direct disaster recovery/relief from floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, droughts, wildfires, volcanic eruptions or earthquakes—let alone control or prevent such disasters.

Yet they want people to believe that they can, and should, be permitted to try and regulate the planetary climate, which is infinitely more subtle and varied and complex than any of the recently-built, closed, man-made systems they have already repeatedly proven incapable of managing.

Here in Tennessee they are going to build ‘small’ nuclear reactor sites for our energy. I don’t have any idea what that means. But Jennifer Granholm was here yesterday or the day before to talk it up.

You all probably know that Oak Ridge is here, I think about 20 miles from our house.

I would love to see the tech be able to provide nuke energy to every house. Because I insisted on a gas stove, the house we bought is supplied by gas and we also installed a gas generator to supply the house in the event of interruption ($$$$). Rolls Royce in the UK is actively developing small land based reactor systems. They have been making reactors for nuke powered subs for years. Not done previously because of the opposition from environmental nutters who now want clean nuke energy.

I see he got fact-shamed, too.

Mary and Joseph were required by law to return to the home city of Joseph’s family to register in the Census ordered by Caesar Augustus. It is false to call them undocumented since their journey’s entire purpose was to “document” themselves.

I have been following this story for hours and there is not much about it I am going to post here because it’s flat out porn. But I don’t think any version of the MSM is going to say anything for days because they are in the ‘shit or go blind’ state right now.

A staffer for Ben Cardin had himself filmed engaging in a homosexual encounter in one of the Senate meeting rooms and posted it somewhere. It got picked up by X/twitter.

All I am going to say.

There is a side story that this is the same staffer who walked by a member of Congress who is Jewish and in front of media said “Free Palestine” but I can’t confirm that yet.

In other news, there is shipping congestion in the Red Sea (China/Houthis), I think Austin has directed the navy to get ready, so maybe supply chain issues in the offing.

And THIS is hilarious. A fabulous 2 room tent they set up and the snow starts. Somehow they have a heater and electricity, a stove and they’re ‘camping’

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqNEAh_9cRg

I’ve watched lots of similar videos. They never show how they – um – figure out bathroom/hygiene protocol. Somehow, needing to pee at 3 am in the middle of the blizzard never makes it into the final video cut. Forget brushing their teeth.

Proud to say that we had transported prisoners on BOTH sides of the family.

One stole a handkerchief and got 3 months on a prison barge on the Thames when he was 15. Being a slow learner he stops a dress and tried to sell it and was transported to Van Diemans Land (Tasmania) for life. He did 15 years there and then was sent to Newcastle about 120 miles north of Sydney Towne where he did another 5 years cutting wood. Finally got a ticket of leave, got married and had 6 kids! Ended ups sawyer in Sydney. The other stole a whole sheep cooked and ate it because he was hungry. He got flogged and sentenced to life in Golborne Jail south of Sydney Towne. He was released after 15 years hard labour, mostly woodworking as be was a carpenter. Finally bought a wagon and 2 bullocks loaded it with fired bricks. Married and they walked 300 miles over the Blue Mountains to the flat Castleragh country and Squatted on 60,000 acres. Milled local wood. Built a brick oven and then constructed a house and had 8 kids, raised wheat and began the town of Galargambone (in the local Aborigine language for … a bend in the river. ) ‘Galar’ and the original house is still there and was in the family until the mid 1930s.

    🙂

Having a blank sheet to establish a new Nation State helped as well. One with loads of everything you can name that comes out of the ground. Now if only we could sort out the water system . Back in the 1950s-1960s they almost did it, but lost their bottle, when faced with the huge task of re-routing whole river systems. The Snowy River Scheme was finishing off and they had the expertise in massive engineering especially tunnelling, in spades (pardon the pun). They couldn’t find the funds to divert all of the rivers in Northern Australia fed annually by the ‘Big Wet’ , to the south where the land was gagging for more water. The MIA (The Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area in Northern Victoria & Southern New South Wales) plus the huge Old River scheme in Western Australia, showed what could be done to grow food. But the Northern Rivers/ Darling, Murray Rivers Scheme never got funded. It would have grown enough food for another 150 million folks!

There is a LOT of hype flying about these days when it comes to AI. On one side Utopia is touted and on the other side Armageddon is forecast. Neither is even half true. The rubbish boosting and touting is more about getting access to research $$$$$$ and has little to do with reality of AI.

Narrow AI with ‘expert systems’ is extremely doable and is progressing fast. General AI is touting what is mostly over-hyped rubbish and we seem to be forever just 5 years away from a ‘breakthrough. Advanced AI in General Systems remains pie in the sky, but that is where the news stories and click- bait resides. My favourite Mathematics Nobel winner Roger Penrose, has advanced AI’s philosophical underpinnings nailed down pretty well. Hell a computer can’t even solve the ‘Stopping Problem’ and philosophically you can’t get there! AI can model a human being by being clever but by its very nature all current AI is RULES based and even comparing AI with a human mind is akin to comparing apples to oranges. They have very little in common.

Most AI development is not even about AI advances. It’s all about gaining access to funding streams. Funny how AI is good at finding funding reservoirs!

    🙂

One thing I think may put Trump in a strong position is his VP choice. I’ve been thinking about that. I’m with Bannon on this. Trump will choose a woman. My first thoughts are

    Kristi Noem
    Elise Stefanick
    Winsome Earle-Sears (Lt. Gov. Virginia)

Most of you are probably not aware of Winsome. She is the Lt. Gov of Virginia. The elections in that state are different. The Gov and Lt. Gov are elected separately. You can google. so. i’m taking a small risk, i have to travel to north central PA for work for 6 weeks and decided not to stay at one of my favorite hotels. i did an airbnb for the month, the cost is pretty much a draw. the airbnb is in the middle of a 60 acre hobby farm with NOTHING near it. dead silence and privacy (yeah, its a single wide trailer in january in upper PA…..hope the heat works). it looks nice and has great reviews.

so, i’ll go hang out with the ducks, geese, chickens, scottish highland cattle, and kunekune pigs….updates later.

A Circuit Court declared Trump guilty of a Federal crime he’s never been charged with – outside its jurisdiction.

    @ lobo91:

Not sure how this works but Gorsuch is the Justice that oversees that circuit and I think he can issue a stay.

If I’m right, the Colorado Supreme Court knows that also. So that’s not it. Trump stays on the ballot via Gorsuch.

If I’m right – why did they do it?

So you think that other circuit presiding justices would not follow Gorsuch and this would keep Trump off the ballot?

New Hampshire has already removed Biden from their primary ballot.

So the immediate result would be chaos and that would put the election in…what? This is just the primaries. SCOTUS en banc should be able to straighten this out post haste.

Ramaswamy Pledges to Withdraw From Colorado GOP Primary Ballot After Trump Is Disqualified

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has vowed to withdraw from the GOP primary ballot in Colorado after the state’s Supreme Court ruled on Dec. 19 that former President Donald Trump is not eligible to run for president.
The 38-year-old tech entrepreneur took to X to condemn the court’s 4-3 ruling, which makes President Trump the first candidate in U.S. history to be deemed ineligible to make a White House bid.

Mr. Ramaswamy called the ruling an “attack on democracy” and urged other Republican candidates to remove their names from the Colorado primary ballot if the court fails to reinstate President Trump.
“In an un-American, unconstitutional, and *unprecedented* decision, a cabal of Democrat judges are barring Trump from the ballot in Colorado,” Mr. Ramaswamy wrote.

“Having tried every trick in the book to eliminate President Trump from running in this election, the bipartisan Establishment is now deploying a new tactic to bar him from ever holding office again: the 14th Amendment,” he said.

“I pledge to *withdraw* from the Colorado GOP primary unless Trump is also allowed to be on the state’s ballot, and I demand that Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley to do the same immediately – or else they are tacitly endorsing this illegal maneuver which will have disastrous consequences for our country.”

Colorado GOP Say They Will Cancel Primary if Donald Trump Isn’t on Ballot

The Colorado Republican Party may withdraw from the 2024 presidential primary in protest of the state’s Supreme Court saying Donald Trump is disqualified from running for president again for allegedly engaging in an insurrection on January 6.

Dave Williams, chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, said the state could instead have a caucus, instead of an open voting primary process, to decide who Colorado picks as the GOP nomination in 2024 while vowing to appeal the historic ruling.

Treat those as tho they belong in the Smithsonian because to that family they do. A clasp that needs to be replaced that has been there since his grandmother who walked from Oklahoma. Hallelujah, brother. You could not possibly be more correct. This is what the left is terrified of. Someone who can stop this country’s rapid march into oblivion.

I did all my Christmas shopping this year without spending a penny. I do reviews for a certain online company that shall remain nameless. I’m just worried that I’m going to get hit hard for taxes. Right now I’m right near the bottom, so it shouldn’t affect me unless it bumps me into a new tax bracket. (They send a 1099 with all the items’ Estimated Cash Value totaled as income.)

Dig down and find the fashion historians who show you how the clothes were actually made, the chefs who tell you what eggs really do and the photogs who take you thru Rome and the Cotswolds.

Then there are the dog people.

Self-employment tax can be a gut punch.
