good morning. Let’s see what we have to start off our day

Farmers in the Central Valley have just been told they’ll get only 20% of the water they need. They should have 100%!

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is being spearheaded by 20 year old autists, per Wired.

These young engineers are reportedly forcing high level GSA employees on calls to, “go over code they had written and justify their jobs.”

Despite their limited experience, these individuals have been granted official A-suite level clearance.

One of these young engineers reportedly just graduated high school.

Imagine being a 30 year veteran bureaucrat and being fired by a 17 year old autistic engineer with a laptop.

Get wrecked. If I were hiring for these positions, autistics would be at the top of my list. I’ve worked with loads of them when I was in IT and they can possess a laser focus.

Farmers in the Central Valley have just been told they’ll get only 20% of the water they need. They should have 100%!

Drive north from LA through the Central Valley and you see a lot of dry, unused farmland. They grow a lot of nuts, and some veggies. The closer to Sacramento you get the greener things get. You get up in the Sacramento River areas and you have rice fields. CA is the largest grower of rice in the world. Some rice farmers in NorCal are billionaires and have a lot of power.
This is where it gets interesting. To grow rice, you flood the field. At harvest you drain it. They used to burn the fields to prepare them for the next year. The environmentalists got mad about that. The other option for prepping the fields was reflood them. Twice as much water.
Rice farmers also run Duck hunting clubs on their reflooded land.
Northern California could supply water to the central valley, southern cal and maybe Arizona with more dam building but then they lose the power that water distribution control gives them. It’s all political.
It’s how a little city like Sacramento holds sway over LA, Orange County and San Diego

When learning to fly a RAAF Winjeel down at #1 BFTS Point Cook Air Base near Melbourne in Oz. One of my class mates was doing aerobatics with his instructor when the Port Wing folder under G forces, crushed the Instructor and killed him. The airplane spun in from 8,000 feet with the student trying to claw his was out of the cockpit all of the way down. His post mortem showed he’d torn his fingernails out and they were still inside his gloves. The top of the big grunty rotary engine of the Winjeel was found 8 feet underground. It hit HARD!

We had quite a few i9ncidents at #1 BFTS Point Cook. An instructor was testing a Winjeel after maintenance and the engine just stopped! The intrepid naval aviator instructor ditched the airplane from 400 feet straight ahead into Port Philip Bay. The Winjeel flipped upside down and sank immediately to the Botton at 30 feet. The canopy was sitting upside down on the bottom still attached to the cockpit. The Naval Aviator instructor somehow got his fat arse through a side ‘knock out window’ that was just 11 inches wide. The next day the instructor tried getting his fat arse, helmet with O2 mask and seat parachute, out through a similar knock-out window in a Winjeel sitting in a hangar. He gave up after half an hour trying to exit the cockpit and getting stuck every time. Just shows what a little bit of fear does to make one try extra hard. 🙂

Then we has another instructor ‘The Ace of the Base’ ( he was a ‘knucklehead’ fighter jock) Lost all power when flying over the Werebee sewerage farm. He dead sticked his Winjeel onto one of the cross roads running between shit ponds. Naturally he was perfect and the airplane was fine except for the engine fault!

When he arrived in the crew and student mess for lunch everyone stood and clapped and then moved to other tables for lunch. Flt Lt. Bricknell the ‘Ace of the Base’ took some time to live down the near miss with half of Melbourne’s shit. Same guy also dead-sticked, a swept wing fighter from 20,000 feet onto the runway at Wlliamstown Air Base near Newcastle north of Sydney. He got his arse handed to him by the Base Commander for NOT ejecting immediately, as single engine swept wing fighters have the gliding characteristics of a BRICK!
Then the base commander bought Fl. Lt. Bricknell a beer for his superior skill in saving a very expensive fighter airplane. With a single engined swept wing fighter you only get on try to get back on the ground in one piece. Bricknell with all of his expertise and skill was lucky to walk away from that one!

    🙂

Trump to Pause Tariffs for 30 Days After Talking With Trudeau, Canada Will Appoint ‘Fentanyl Czar’

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says tariffs have been put on pause for 30 days after a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump on Feb. 3. The agreement between two leaders entails Canada appointing a “fentanyl czar” and designating drug cartels as terrorists organizations.
In announcing the agreement on social media, Trudeau mentioned Canada’s previously announced $1.3 billion plan to boost border security, while saying around 10,000 frontline personnel will be working to protect the border.

The update came after Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum reached a similar deal with Trump hours earlier, with the two agreeing to pause tariffs for 30 days while Mexico sends 10,000 troops to the border to stop the flow of fentanyl.

“I just had a good call with President Trump,” Trudeau said.

“Canada is making new commitments to appoint a Fentanyl Czar, we will list cartels as terrorists, ensure 24/7 eyes on the border, launch a Canada- U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering. I have also signed a new intelligence directive on organized crime and fentanyl and we will be backing it with $200 million.”

    Makes sense actually.

A restaurant could just increase the prices of certain items because of a rise in cost of the raw ingredients, maybe just a temporary rise in cost.

The price of eggs has indeed risen, 9c this time last year, 34c currently at Walmart.

Now, for a restaurant to increase the cost of a menu item means re-printing the menu, which trust me is not cheap ( I was a dishwasher 14 years in the industry LOL ).

Just putting on a sticker is a much cheaper alternative. And can be temporary.

You look at the flight path of the aircraft and it was very precise. Right down the middle of the Gulf of California and a really tight turn to come back.

Is the center of the Gulf actually International airspace? Outside the limits of Mexico territorial waters?

    @ Possum:

The center of the Gulf of California is, in fact, international waters. Mexico controls 12 nautical miles from the coast on either side, as well as from the north. It ranges between 30 and 95 miles wide. Of course, you’d have to fly over part of Mexico to get to it, unless you come from the south.

Welcome people from Diary of Daedalus!

Tonight supper is intended to be Beef Teriyaki stir fry. The 1/4 inch slices of beef were marinated in zero sugar and very low carb Teriyaki sauce and slow cooked in a slow cooker for a few hours to tenderize the beef.

I has a new non-stick skillet and a can of bean sprouts too.

Problem is, the beef is coated in a sauce with zero sugar, however if I place the slices of beef in a hot skillet containing half an ounce of coconut oil sizzling hot the Teriyaki sauce will not caramelize and turn the beef tasty and crispy.

Maybe I should have a fried egg sandwich, but have no eggs.

    They are too expensive.

Yesterday’s Teriyaki beef was enough for two meals technically. 300g raw beef is roughly 0.66138679 pounds.

I ate it all, with lettuce and a tomato.

291g of pork loin is thawing at the moment. Going to slice it and marinade in Raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Should be enough pork for two meals! LOL, yeah right.

Anyway, what is all this thing about 300g? When I buy meat, the pork was a $1.84 per pound pork loin, $6.52 total. 3.5 pounds. Cut up into 5 chunks, each one placed in a quart ziplock with a splash of chicken stock to mitigate freezer burn.

Same routine with the 2lbs chunk of beef chuck roast. But three times the price of pork.

This way when I buy meat I can get the ” family pack ” price but I don’t have to cook it all at once.

LOL, and yes a family pack of chicken breasts contains usually five breasts each weighing about one pound each.

Yet again a meal that can be scaled. I have frozen broccoli, carrots and chicken.

Coconut oil instead of Canola, low sodium soy sauce. It is actually quite scary how when cooking a meal even if you don’t add salt it comes out too salty. Grated parmesan is one to watch out for.

I even have lemon juice! Because to make a low calorie refreshing drink I put a huge dolop or two and then fill it with tap water. 32oz for $2.88 juice.

British company contracted to be bait.https://hunterteam.com/

HHA’s fleet consists of ten modified ex Swiss Air Force MK58 aircraft, which, whilst being a legacy platform, have a performance capability in excess of many more modern ground attack aircraft. The aircraft have been modified with electric start and a Garmin glass cockpit suite encompassing ACAS, TAWS, Mode S, dual 8.33 VHF & UHF radios and Rad Alt. Furthermore, they are equipped with Radar Warning Receivers (RWR), Chaff & Flare dispensers and are capable of carrying the latest internally or externally mounted Threat Emulation, Simulation and Replication systems. Usually configured with up to four external fuel tanks and / or EW pods, these fuel loads permit between one and three hours flying time. Maintained to exacting standards with a comprehensive support infrastructure, the aircraft exhibit very low flying hours & fatigue, the fleet average being 2500hrs total time, less than a quarter of their projected life.

Foreign aid freeze results in mass layoffs that could ‘crash’ the industry

The Trump administration’s halt on foreign aid is starting to hollow out international development groups and private federal contractors that carry out aid missions abroad — and threatens to cause long-lasting damage to U.S. engagement around the world.

Last month, the State Department ordered an immediate pause on U.S. foreign aid for 90 days and issued “stop-work orders” on nearly all existing foreign assistance awards. This swift decision has effectively left many government contractors and global aid providers — including groups that supply HIV/AIDS care, provide child health services, set up education programs, fight food insecurity and counter disinformation in developing nations — struggling to operate or pay their workers.

Eight U.S.-based individuals who work in the foreign aid sector, all granted anonymity due to concerns about retaliation from the administration, told POLITICO that the foreign aid freeze had undermined their ability to carry out global aid efforts. Some predict that thousands of foreign aid professionals across the industry may soon be out of work.

“I can’t even begin to describe how cataclysmic it is, everyone is furloughing or laying off staff,” said one person. “It’s almost 5,000 people, and it’s just starting.”

A director at a leading USAID contractor who spoke with POLITICO said that more than two-thirds of their company would be furloughed by the end of the week, describing the future of the sector as “bleak at best.”

“This is starting to look like an industry crash,” a different person in the aid sector said.

Why was an “industry” allowed to develop around passing out American taxpayers’ money in the first place?

    https://pjmedia.com/vodkapundit/2025/02/05/crazy-talk-vol-2-trumps-radical-plan-to-take-over-gaza-n4936686

But what was Trump talking about for a week before he made yesterday’s “crazy-stupid” suggestion to “take over” and “own” Gaza? Trump has spoken bluntly and repeatedly about relocating Gazans to Egypt, Jordan, and even Indonesia. “They will do it. They will do it. They’re gonna do it, okay? We do a lot for them, and they’re gonna do it,” Trump assured reporters last Friday.

So is Trump genuinely threatening two million people with ethnic cleansing so he can build resorts?

    Hardly:

What Trump did was force a hard reset on the Gaza problem, with the dual sticks of an American military presence/forced removals and the carrot of international development. Either way, the other Arab nations can get serious about divorcing Gazans from their terrorist ambitions… or maybe they get the stick.

“Remember those 587 times Trump staked out a radical position and while you were busy freaking out like a spastic moron,” I prodded people on X last night, “he negotiated the deal he was actually after in the first place?”

The USAID Scandal Is Getting Worse by the Minute

The data is coming in so hot and fast today that it’s all I can do not to fall behind too much, but the numbers all tell the same story: the Mainstream Legacy Media is a bought-and-paid-for arm of the Deep State. So while I was busy researching how more than $8 million in tax money went to Politico…

…you did see that story, didn’t you?

Politico’s financials aren’t public. I found estimates today that its 2023 revenues were as high as $400-plus million and as low as $7 million. Whatever the case, nobody, and I mean nobody forgets who paid it $8 million in subscription fees.

Anyway, a couple of hours later, Ian Miles Cheong reported, “The US Government gave the New York Times tens of millions of dollars over just the past 5 years despite paying relatively little money to the NYT in the years preceding 2021.” We know who came into power in 2021. “For instance, in August 2024, the US government awarded $4.1 million to the NYT.”

“The bulk of the funds came from the US Department of Health and Human Services at $26.90m, followed by the National Science Foundation at $19.15m.”

Interesting that it was DHHS and the NSF ponying up 50 million American taxpayer dollars to a paper owned by a Mexican billionaire at a time when Washington wanted to silence certain voices on health issues pertaining to the emergence of COVID and the ridiculous government measures taken to “combat” it.

USAID was ordered into existence by President John F. Kennedy as a cheap and nimble means of countering Soviet aid and influence in the developing world. Even then, he saw the State Department as too hidebound and bureaucratic. But USAID has morphed into a $60 billion — $70 billion? — slush fund for largely domestic causes that are Soviet in their ambitions.

Don’t think just because we’re learning all of this courtesy of Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the DOGE boys that we’ve won the war. Aesthetica — a reliable X source with Democrat friends in high places — claims that one connection told him that “initial plans by the Democrats is to have their people at USAID hide the partisan funding under ‘unimpeachable initiatives.’ They will push back really hard on certain line items that on their face look like reasonable USAID expenditures and hide their political spending under these programs.”

That sounds exactly right. There’s too much money at stake for anyone to simply roll over.

Today food just arrived. 5L box Cabernet, 30 cans Busch Light, onions, two green peppers, 3lbs onions, shredded lettuce, a 12 pack of Ramen noodles, shrimp flavour and temptation cat treats.

Also thawing is a chicken breast I had in stock, some baby carrots sour cream, sharp cheddar, sardines, tuna (both frozen fillets and canned ) Broccoli, Cauliflower and ground beef.

What am I craving? Big mac and fries.

Pregnancy must be difficult for women.

Also as to the chicken breast in stock. Double meaning. In stock means I have one, also in stock means it was frozen in a baggie with some chicken stock to offset freezer burn.

    They fail for two reasons.

1, They run out of fuel. ( obvious reason ) but the sparky thing still works.

2, The sparky flint quits but there is still juice in them.

    Solution!

One with juice in it place in your left hand and depress the thing that would have lit it, then in your right hand operate a lighter that has no juice but is still very sparky. I don’t have to say hold them close together you figured that out.

Anyway don’t throw out cheap lighters that quit. Put them in a box then pair them up.

TRUMP REMOVES FEC COMMISSIONER ELLEN WEINTRAUB—SHE CALLS IT ILLEGAL

Weintraub: “The president does not have the authority to remove an FEC commissioner. This is not how the law works.”

Yes. But I don’t think we’ve ever paid it. I fill out the necessary paperwork for our accountant and somehow that never shows up *ahem*. It infuriates me that in retirement we’re in the 25% tax bracket. We’re comfortable but that’s a ‘wealth punishment’ level. And that comfort level took 30 yrs of planning and saving. I don’t mind paying my freight – say 10% – but if you look at what we’ve paid over time – you’d choke. The best planning advice I ever got was from my father. NO DEBT. EVER. Not even a mortgage. Well, in order to climb the housing ladder we both had to take that on but the retirement planning was to wipe it out. And we did. We have zero debt, not even credit card. That gets paid when it comes in. I did/do have to raid savings to get the house/yard where I want it, but that’s an investment. I’m told (real estate people) that what I’ve done with the front yard has added about $80k to the base value. The zillow price is based on simple inflation since we bought it, it’s the house as we bought it not as it is now.

Wanna talk about the kitchen? No? Ok. LOL!

If anybody wants to understand what “Make America Great Again” truly means, then let me show you.

In South Africa, there is a political movement called the EFF. They’re basically the South African Communist Party. Well, they’ve just sent a list of demands to President Trump, and are standing outside the United States embassy in South Africa chanting “One Bullet One American”.

They are an extremist and violent organization almost like South Africa’s version of Hamas. They are infamous for chanting “One Settler One Bullet” as a threat to white people and have frequently threatened to kill every white person in South Africa.

Well, here is the response of an American who is clearly former US Army or Special Forces, and he doesn’t mince his words.

This is probably the most incredible powerhouse of a response I’ve heard in a long time. This is simply awesome. The shit is about to hit the fan.

    Calculating…..

How much would a ticket to superbowl cost?
How much would a return trip there cost?
What would be the fine for streaking there be?

That would then be my total expenditure required to streak.

Now, the other side of the equation.

How much would I have to bet with Polymarket to break even on the chance of a streaker at superbowl happening.

Using that calculation I could do a streak and come out even.

But! I know I will win the bet, come out even and then the more I bet the more I win. Pure profit!

LOL, as I am not a fan I just had to Google where superbowl is this year. New Orleans. I could probably reduce the cost to get there and back to about $100 if I rented a bicycle and started pedaling there tonight.

For those thinking I am full of shit and make things up, I do research.

My home to New Orleans is 149 hours walking.

The FAA generated a felonious aircraft dispatch demand to fly with porringers aboard. The US government of the day pressured the NZ government to agree to look away under severe US government pressure. The NZ government ‘bent to the US government pressure and allowed the Continental DC-10 to depart under the proviso that the NZ Civil Aviation Department took no further responsibility for the US citizens safety, after issuing a safety memorandum that was instantly ‘forgotten’ by the FAA and Continental Airways senior Executives.

I had no idea about this.

The Australian and New Zealand Beersheba Charge shown in the video was just the charge Of A Squadron of the 4th. Australian Light Horse. Light Blue over Dark blue with a letter A .

The whole engagement was a dozen times as large But the 4th ALH were in the second Regiment in Centre of the action and the Regiment who dismounted onto the Trek trenches. The 12th ALH (I think just rode over the Turk trenches and captured the town itself.) the 4th. ALH got stuck into the Turk trenches. The original 4th ALH were all West Australians from farms in and around Perth.

I am a proud Regular force Troop Sergeant of Heavy Troop A Squadron 4th. / 19th. Australian Light Horse. based at Old Holesworthy Camp on the edges of Sydney. I was waiting to deploy to 1BFTS (Basic Flying Training School ) at Point Cook on the shores of Port Philip Bay on the outskirts of Melbourne. and joined A squadron 4/19 Light Horse. We were cavelry and my Heavy Troop used Ferret Scout Cars, M-113 tracked Infantry Fighting Vehicles and a solitary six wheeled Saladin Armoured Car with a 76mm turreted gun and 50 cal MG and 7.62mm MMG. the squadron had 5 officers and about 100 men all regulars except for a ring-in Reservist Sergeant …. me! 🙂 By Vietnam we wore Black ‘tanky’ berets but still had the Emu feathers behind our badge. We shipped about half of our Squadron’s vehicles on the MV Japarret to Vietnam and I bought A squadron’s spare M-113s down from Hunter River Lancers near Newcastle to load onto the MV Japarret moored in Sydney Harbour bound for Vietnam. The M-113s were involved in the major battle of Long Tan where a company of Aussie infantry (128 officers and Men got a wee bit involved with about 2,000 NVA regulars and Viet Cong). 4th /19th Light Horse pulled the infantry’s fat out of the fire. 27 Aussies were KIA and about 55 WIA , the NVA and Viet Cong lost an estimate 350-400 KIA and an unknown number of WIA. Mainly due to great Kiwi 161 Field Battery, artillery who kept firing accurately right up to ‘danger-close’. Then the M-113 arrived and used 50 cal HMG and ran down fleeing NVA and VC, fleeing through the rubber plantation. All of the 4th. / 19th. A Squadron vehicles had names beginning with the letter A. The Medical M-113 was of course named ASPRO! ‘Doc’ a Sergeant in Heavy Troop in ‘Nam was the key Carrier that got blood on his tracks whilst using his .50 cal HMG.

Officially the 4th, Light horse was named the 4th. /19th. Prince of Wales Light Horse.
US General Westmorland always called it the 4th. / 19th. King Charles White Horse for reasons known only to himself.

I was not involved in that action at Long Tan as by then I was a Cadet Aircrew in the RAAF Point Cook flying a Wingeel.

Totally by accident I was also a Captain and eventually a Major with 3rd. Auckland Countess of Ranfurley’s Own and Northland Regiment as a reservist Infantry officer and the IO (G2) of a Reservist NZ infantry Battalion. Eventually they amalgamated with the former 6th. Hauraki Mounted Rifles (6th. Hau) to form a Reservist Battalion 3/6 Bn. The accident was that 6th Hauraki was the Kiwi Mounted Rifle Squadron at the Battle of Beersheba as well. So had regimental linage from two Regiments that fought at the Beersheba charge.

The clock struck 2 AM on Jan 21, 2025.

In Treasury’s basement, fluorescent lights hummed above four young coders. Their screens cast blue light across government-issue desks, illuminating energy drink cans and agency badges. As their algorithms crawled through decades of payment data, one number kept growing: $17 billion in redundant programs. And counting.

“We’re in,” Akash Bobba messaged the team. “All of it.”

Edward Coristine’s code had already mapped three subsystems. Luke Farritor’s algorithms were tracing payment flows across agencies. Ethan Shaotran’s analysis revealed patterns that career officials didn’t even know existed. By dawn, they would understand more about Treasury’s operations than people who had worked there for decades.

This wasn’t a hack. This wasn’t a breach. This was authorized disruption.

Haven’t read the whole thing yet. Cool noir crime graphics too.

    All about Kennedy’s end
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_NughDXxf0

A deathbed confession by an ex-82nd Airborne and sometime mobster hit man, who worked on occasion for the Chicago Mob. The Chicago Mobsters ran an operation in Cuba pre-Castro. The shooter had CIA connections and operated as a trainer for the ex-military force that failed to take down the Castro regime. The guy was one of the shooters who killed Kennedy. The other was Oswald who was the patsy with the back up reserve shooter who’s name was Southern but changed his name to Files after he tried to get out of the assassination business, get married and have children. The weapon he used was a purpose made .222 high velocity hand gun with its own exotic ammunition that had an attached metal folding stock and a X3 scope. It had a heavy purpose built barrel with a guaranteed range of 100 + yards with very little drop with a round travelling slightly in excess of 3,000 feet per second. It had a single shot bolt action ammunition, also purpose manufactured, with a Mercury load that would fracture into more than 3+ pieces on impact. The shooters, Oswald as the patsy assassin , Southern / Files the back – up shooter and a third professional Chicago shooter, who like Southern / Files was at ground level but not co-located. None of the shooters made any contact with each other on the day of Kennedy’s assassination. Jack Ruby was also part of the Chicago conspiracy, and was onsite independently, near but close to the Grassy Knoll but he was unarmed. Both Oswald and Southern / Files fired almost simultaneously, With Oswald’s bullet entering Kennedy’s head from the rear and Southern / Files explosive .222 round entering Kennedy’s temple . The specialised assassination gun type didn’t make it onto the open market until a year after the Kennedy assassination 12 months later in 1964.

The failed Coup d’Main against Castro ‘s regime was sanctioned by Kennedy’s CIA, but Kennedy had a change of mind and failed to support the Cuban coup mercenaries, fighting in Cuba, especially when the attack was being overcome by Castro’s military. The CIA mercenaries were left by Kennedy to twist in the wind. Many were killed in the fighting and the survivors were rounded up by Castro’s troops. The leaders were tortured and executed, The survivors were ‘sold’ back to the CIA for I believe was $50,000 each. There remains a single co-conspirator, either a Chicago mobster, or a CIA conspirator left alive in 2025.

That fact may have slowed down Trump’s expose!

Musk Says FEMA Spent $59 Million on Housing Illegal Immigrants in NYC Hotels

The U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has found that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) spent $59 million last week on continuing to house illegal immigrants in luxury hotels in New York City, according to Elon Musk.

“Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President’s executive order,” Musk wrote on social media platform X on Feb. 10. “That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high-end hotels for illegals!

“A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds.”
Acting FEMA Administrator Cameron Hamilton replied to Musk’s post, saying: “I want to thank the @DOGE team for making me aware of this. Effective yesterday these payments have all been suspended from FEMA. Personnel will be held accountable.”

Hamilton went on to say that Congress should have never asked FEMA to do that type of work in bills passed in 2023 and 2024.

    “This stops now,” he said.

UK scientists have just created the foundations of a quantum internet

Recent advancements by scientists at the University of Oxford have indeed laid foundational work towards the development of a quantum internet. They successfully linked two separate quantum processors using a photonic network interface, achieving quantum teleportation of logical gates between these processors. This breakthrough addresses the scalability challenges in quantum computing and demonstrates the feasibility of distributed quantum computing. Such a distributed approach is pivotal for creating a future quantum internet, which would enable ultra-secure communication and advanced computational capabilities.

FBI “FINDS” 2,400 JFK ASSASSINATION FILES AFTER TRUMP ORDER

The FBI just uncovered 2,400 never-before-disclosed records tied to JFK’s assassination—61 years after the fact.

Trump’s executive order demanding full disclosure forced the agency’s hand, revealing thousands of pages that were never submitted to the review board or National Archives.

RFK Jr., tapped by Trump as HHS secretary, has long called for full transparency.

    Trump adviser:

“Don’t be surprised if all these records just suddenly wind up online.”

The FBI had 61 years to ‘discover’ these records. Funny how they show up now.

While we are discussing medical things I have been trying to get into ketosis again, but not trying hard.

It would be easy except for the Merlot/Cabernet and beer ( low carb )

This morning I woke up stinking of nail polish remover. Had a few days of as few carbs as possible in food. Yesterday was only 4g, due to the salad dressing on the lettuce I had with two 1/4 pound beef patties for one meal and the can of chunky tuna and lettuce I had for another meal.

Used a test strip, 1.5 mmol/L so my sense of how bad I stink matches test strip.

Now, in ketosis, then going for it again. Have to restrict beer and wine ( boring ) but eat all the good shit you see in a buffet at an expensive wedding.

Diet is now chicken not breaded, Italian sausage chunks, deviled eggs, burgers with cheese, no bun.

Bulk the meals up with bean sprouts, them zero carb three times the price tortillas.

Key to all this eating no carb foods is still watch the calories also. Currently 206 again, best I got down to was 198 last year on keto in two months ( from 226 )

Or I could eat and drink all I want and pay $1000 a month and inject drugs in my ass once a week.

Nope! Going for the eating all the good shit at an expensive buffet!

Yapping on in here about keto and deviled eggs ( they are the BEST part of a keto diet, trust me… )

Anyway my post here prompted me to go boil some eggs.

Water pressure here has been low since Friday. Went into kitchen to fill a pan with water to boil four eggs and it is now a trickle.

Probably just a trickle due to residual pressure in the apartment complex system. I gots lucky!

I is smart, water goes off so often here I wash my plate, my dish and my knife and fork and spoon when I use them. Also have a couple of gallons saved for cats and coffee.

Nobody in the 320 apartments ever complains about anything, I know the reason. No background check, no SSN needed.

One of the best moments from the show in Mexico City. They had just finished playing Survive, which included a massive confetti drop. The girls went offstage, and this guy comes out and starts sweeping the stage. Then this happened:

“Las WaWas” is the band’s alter ego. It comes from the video for Que Mas Quieres, which is a comedy mashup of a heist and a telenovela (a Mexican soap opera) centering on a wedding. The only time we see the band actually playing is during the reception, where they played a band called “Las WaWas,” dressed in ’80s style tuxes and sunglasses.

The band name itself is kind of an Easter egg. The girls named their tour bus “La WaWa,” short for Warning Wagon.

An intriguing suggestion has been proposed to the problem of relocating Gaza Arab “Palestinians.”

South of the Arabian peninsula is an island called Scotra. It is of sufficient size and has almost no habitants. The location is far from the Jews that the Palestinians despise so much and closer to their Arab brethren — with a water buffer zone to keep them at bay (literally) as the other Arabs prefer. It’s also a beautiful paradise with even more beachfront property than Gaza.

That is one of the best interludes I have seen. The superbowl should take note.

The break is something that should be funny.

Reminds me of high school, the last year. I was in charge of setting up the lighting and running it during the school play. It was Fiddler on the roof.

As the lighting board was on the side of the stage I also gave a helping hand when lights were off and there was a scene change.

As you all know during a play lights are off and things get moved around and backgrounds changed without the audience seeing. The scene changers wear all black.

But in the UK in 1975 all of them had glow in the dark white faces!

So we came up with a cunning plan. Stocking masks. Hey that works!

I went to a store and bought us some stockings, black. However pantyhose were cheaper.

    And you guessed what happened.

Scene change people worked in pairs, we thought it was funny!

Teachers did not… But they never sugessted cutting panty hose in half.

Me thinking did not order cat food said ” wait ” and went back inside to grab a $20.

Tried to give the $20 to the boy but he refused, then noticed a man at the bottom of the stairs.

They did not want any money, but I insisted.

Both boy and his father could speak better English than I speak Spanish.

It seems that the father’s employer gave him three bags of cat food and he does not have a cat. Don’t know why.

    @ Possum:
Also not sure why someone’s employer would pay them in cat food.

Maybe Trump and his DOGE and INS and ICE and Musk can get to the bottom of this.

Also I must emphasize they resisted payment for the cat food, seriously resisted!

    As to cats….

Cat deposit is $250 for each cat and monthly rent per cat is $35..

    I has no cats!!!!!!!

I thought I got away with stealth cats then I find out other residents are giving me cat food.

Trouble is the primitive function does not prevent head injury on the way down.

    Technical post.

When you get alcohol delivered they request a valid ID that proves you are over 21.

If you want a laugh give the delivery person a Green card, but they will not deliver your beer because they ain’t got a clue what it is while not speaking English. That is a clue, when they do not know what a Green Card is.

OK so give them driver licence They try to scan it and half the time it will not scan so they have to type in all the details.

You get a non American delivery person typing in your license details into the authenticaton app and the days and months are backwards.

    Got a delivery today.

Asked me my date of birth. It was like communicating with a fucking Martian!

Got it eventually, Fingers, one, shake head, two shake head, three fingers tap on chest as in me!

That was month, then we had to do day. as to year I ran out of fingers!

I have a point behind this post.

    Ask me what that is.

In the UK then nurse students do a six week rotation in OR on year 3 .

By then they have seen it all, dead people, dying people, shit, piss, and other nasty things like the birth of a child.

That one is scary! The birth thingy! I did time on the women OR. C sections are a blood bath!

Anyway, in OR the first few times that scalpel cut on the abdomen is absolutely the worst.

After that what happens next is just like making lunch with liver and chit lings and fried onions.

Why fried onions? They use probes using high frequency electricity to seal blood vessels. It is called Diathermy. Smells like BBQ

So after all that supper is lettuce.

You can, and I am not an obsessed health nut or I would not have a nice cheape 5L box of Merlot delivered.

Body uses carbs for energy and excess carbs converted to fat so that when food is not available then body can convert fat to energy.

Imagine a world without carbohydrates. What will the body do? Body is smart, it stored energy in fat so it can use that instead.

That is what the keto thing is about. Body switches from using carbs for energy to using fats.

Takes a few days of not eating carbs but eating high fat meals to switch into the other metabolic state.

Then when body is used to using fats that you eat to be happy you restrict fats from your diet and body says ” Hey! I got a shit load of belly fat stored I can use. )

Key to keto diet, watch calories!!!!!

However, the plan is to re-locate about 2 million people from the Gaza strip. To somewhere else then turn the land into a resort?

    Why?

Look at a map. to the south of Gaza there is a few hundred miles of empty land and coastline. Throw billions at that and make it a resort.

All this focus on Gaza and where to re-locate the people there is forgetting and ignoring Palestinians in the West Bank.

The West Bank is where “settlers” are settling and taking over peoples homes by force.

    Cat post.

Glen usually runs around with his tail in the air like the thing on the back of a bumper car at a fair ground.

A couple of days ago he came home and is running around with his tail hanging down like a little pony.

He got bit. his tail is twice the diameter of his normal tail.

I have no car, he either gets through this or dies.

Bonus is, as he cannot raise his tail when he tries to piss on things he just squirts on his tail and not my leg.

For people who hate me, yes I checked the temperature of his wet nose. It is cold.

No systemic infection, just a bit tail.

And, I have a suspicion who bit his tail. Some yappy fucking Mexican dog.

What I said about watch calories for weight loss is equally relevant for maintaining weight or weight gain.

    Just log what you eat.

Months ago I posted my discovery how a 2oz chunk of cheddar and a big blob of mayo topped 550 calories. Same as a big mac.

It is easy to gain weight.

There are only 9 red Arrows in the display team. Red ten is the spare aircraft and it is the one that does the close up photography of the team.

You see them in the sky doing the stuff and it looks so smooth

Close up they are all bouncing around. Fuck knows how they manage it

The cat we rescued last spring is finally fixed. I was able to get her in my office early yesterday to start getting her used to our clowder. A bit of hissing and some swats by our FIV girl, but by late afternoon we were at detente.

I let her out with the rest of the mob, and there weren’t any problems. Put her back in the cage overnight and let her back out this morning.

It looks like she’ll be fine.

And the little snowshoe is fitting in well, too. We MIGHT have a home for him- Mrs RW talked to someone when she was getting her chemo that was looking for a 2nd cat.
