Way back in 1993, a former music teacher from Missouri named Sheryl Crow released her debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club, which went on to sell more than 4.5 million copies and reached #2 on the Billboard charts. The album also won Crow three Grammy Awards in 1995: Record of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Female Vocal Performance.

Since then, she has sold more the 50 million albums worldwide, received 9 Grammy awards (out of 32 nominations), ans performed with some of the biggest names in music, including B.B. King, Tina Turner, the Rolling Stones, and Eric Clapton.

Her 11th studio album, Threads, is due out on August 30th of this year. All of the songs on it are collaborations between her and a number of her friends and fellow artists. It’s reportedly going to be her final album.

In the interest of full disclosure, the main reason for this post is that it was the only thing I could think of involving Tuesday night on short notice, and we needed a new thread.
