In The Lamest-Ever Christmas Present, feline blogger Sparkle the Designer Cat critiques less-than-satisfactory gifts that she has received in the past. As shown here, she reserves particular disdain for “Thing in a Bag”:

Click here to see her funny explanation of why this toy proved to be so lame.

What to get instead…

An ordinary low-power red laser pointer is fun for almost any cat. Just make sure to shine the light at a surface, and keep it away from your (or the cat’s) eyes.

For those who can afford to spend a little extra money just for lolz, the intertoobz offers many possibilities, among them the zany products on this site (click photos for the specifics):

Long-lasting Kitty IncrediBubbles for cats to chase

According to the site, these bubbles don’t immediately pop when they land on an object, thus giving your cat the opportunity to chase them around. Only problem is that the bubbles are peach-flavored, while most cats would probably prefer liver or fish. But then, their human caretakers might not be able to handle fish-scented bubble residue in their homes. Maybe catnip scent might be an idea for Version 2.0.

Plastic towel holder resembling a cat's posterior

Rather bizarre for a towel holder.

What’s with the emphasis on cat posteriors, anyway?

Pencil sharpener - insert pencil into rectum of plastic cat

Maybe humans have tail envy!

The tail actually wags on the next product:

Kit Cat Clock

On the other paw…

Those of us who are too broke to buy anybody anything this Christmas, if not for the foreseeable future, will have to get our laughs some other way. I offer the following:

Fireproof Your Christmas Tree

Get the flock out! Forget the danger of little Timmy eating lead “icicles,” this stuff allowed many immigrants to light their Christmas trees in the traditional way — with tallow candles — and without burning their houses down.

I assume that this flocking product was intended to be mixed with water and poured or painted over the boughs of den Weihnachtsbaum. Perfectly safe, as long as the faux snow wasn’t friable, and you kept little Timmy from gnawing the needles.

Ahhh. Those were the days, before they invented lead poisoning, asbestosis, DDT toxicity, alar scares, political correctness, AGW pseudo science and amphetamines called little green footballs.  The bar’s open, so grab a beverage while we decorate The Blogmocracy Árbol de Navidad on The Overnight Open Thread.

Christmas Eve Drinking Thread: Queens NY Style

It’s the Christmas Eve Drinking thread! I’m at my parents enjoying some nice Spanish Red Wine with my family. My mom cooked Kibbe for appetizers, Gandules (Pigeon Peas) Rice and a Turkey for Dinner. For dessert, She baked another round of  Baklava. So it’s a Latin Christmas with some Lebanese flair added on. I hope everyone is having a good evening with their family tonight and drinking to celebrate this day!

Here is a video that is a classic NY Christmas song from Queens, NY Rap group Run DMC.

I miss Pre Bloomberg NY. After this Collaborator got elected, Islamic colonialists have flooded the city. It’s ironic that 9 years after an act of Islamo-Imperialist aggression, that NY is being taken over by these invaders. It actually makes me sad, but heck it’s Christmas why dwell on the negativity!

Merry Christmas Blogmocracy Netizens!

Update: At dinner my Grandfather broke down crying because Obamacare passed. He said ” I fought the Nazis in WW2 and the Communists in Korea, now the same people I fought twice control America.”  Very chilling words to think about.
