Finding Out What’s in it! Part IV

Section 6001 of the Health Care Law known as Obamacare allows bureaucrats to stop the construction of physician owned hospitals. At issue is the catch 22 quality built within the law. Approval for new and expanding physician hospitals to bill the government for patients receiving care under Medicare needed to be granted prior to December 31, 2010. As these approvals are only allowed to be granted to facilities which are already open, any physicians hospital under construction as of that date have effectively been shut down. The bureaucrats in charge of this process have already announced that waivers or exceptions to this rule will not be granted. What we see here is the beginning of bureaucratic rationing of health care. We have removed 45 hospitals from the system. If the number of people demanding health care remains constant, this will either result in higher prices, or an artificial shortage, (law of supply and demand taught in every basic high school economics class.) The claim by the political left of course is that this new law will cover health care costs for, (and I realize that the numbers vary,) some 30 million new folks who may or may not be in this country legally. So now, the curve is really blown for that whole supply and demand thing. I have seen the argument posited that the reason for this is that physicians hospitals only treat the, “rich,” who can afford to pay higher prices. If that were the case, why would the entrepreneurs building these hospitals stop construction without the Medicare approval. Medicare is not known for its lucrative payment schedule. As a matter of fact, it pays only a percentage of the actual bill presented, and then it is known also for being notoriously slow in paying its bills.  Section 6001 is flat out an assault on Doctors, and an assault on the American people.  Flexibility and choice have been the cornerstone of our society since the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776.

This piece of the law is also an assault on the Free Enterprise System.  American Businesses are being shut down as result of bureaucratic interpretation of a Law which has been declared unconstitutional by 2 Federal Judges.  So, in one fell swoop, Obama and his Administration have managed to prove once again that they are not only socialists, but also that they are waging a war against the Capitalist economic system and the American people.  We need to make sure that this man is only a One Term President, America’s survival depends on it.

Investor’s Business Daily has more on this here.  Before I end this post, I have one more point.  I have always included Nancy Pelosi’s youtube 5 second hit as a part of my Obamacare posts.  It, up until now has been meant as a tongue in cheek dig at the former, (man am I glad to be calling her the former,) Speaker of the House.  I am forced to ask however, why is it even a question that our lawmakers would do us the courtesy of reading a bill before they voted on it?  What was the hurry in passing this legislation if it is not scheduled to go into full effect for another 3 years?  We should demand a level of professionalism of our national leaders at least equal to the standards we hold our children up to when doing their homework.  That they passed this piece of crap without allowing the American People to see it in full shows pure arrogance and breaks totally from the complete transparency they promised while campaigning.  That they passed this piece of crap without reading it themselves shows laziness and ineptitude that is hard to fathom.

LTC West ready to charge Capital Hill

All of here at The Blogmocracy wish not only Col. West, but the rest of the incoming Freshman GOP Congressman (and Senators) taking office on 3 January nothing but the best in fighting to put the brakes on, and hopefully reverse, Obungler’s out of control spending and socialist agenda.

We also want to remind them why they were elected by various Tea Parties across the U.S.A. in the first place- to be the conservatives that you campaigned as and promised to govern as. We are the majority as of 3 January, now govern like it, dammit!

No more kowtowing to the libs!

Remember how that rat-bastard commie Pelosi and the other rat-bastard commie libs treated the GOP since they took power in ’07? How they held meetings to discuss their socialist agenda, including health care reform, taxes, government takeovers of private companies, etc., behind closed doors, and the GOP members were not invited? DO THE SAME DAMN THING TO THEM!

Enough with this “We all need to work together in a bi-partisan effort to do the people’s work” crap!!!

To the libs, bi-partisan means us agreeing with them. Those days had BETTER be over! You hear us, Speaker Boehner? And no more damned crying!!! Majority leader Cantor?

If the libs don’t like it, too damn bad! Tell them what Obama said to the GOP, that the election is over and you won! You’re the majority, now govern like it! Let Pelosi bitch and moan to the main-stream media propagandists that love her and Obungler so much.

As far as we are concerned, you’re all on probation. We’ll be watching and keeping score. You have two years to prove to us that the people who voted for you did not make a mistake. What was given can be taken away, and the days of getting a pass for failing to live up to your promises are over.

S. Florida’s West ready to charge Capitol Hill

Elected as warrior for ‘tea party’

Depending on who is asked, Republican Rep.-elect Allen West is either a hothead radical who will chip away at what little civility remains on Capitol Hill, or is an energetic, principled pragmatist who will bring a long-overdue dose of sanity to Washington.

But his sincerity isn’t in question: As supporters and critics alike say when it comes to the South Florida Republican, what you see is what you get.

“There are some candidates who are fairly standard politicians, who adopt the ‘tea party’ rhetoric … and then I think there are some politicians who are really fundamentally more tea party-ist than politician, and I think West fits into that category,” said Kevin Wagner, a political science professor at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.

“The rhetoric, he believes.”

Mr. West, a career soldier who retired in 2004 with the rank of lieutenant colonel, defeated Democratic Rep. Ron Klein by almost 9 percentage points in the Nov. 2 congressional elections. His aggressive, take-no-prisoners campaigning won over an electorate eager for change in Washington, and his biography and style made him instantly stand out, even in the massive new GOP freshman class that arrives on the Hill next week.

“People don’t normally get that energized about a candidate,” said University of South Florida political scientist Susan MacManus. “His military credentials are very impressive, and I think that had a lot to do with it.”

He was aided by a hefty tea party-infused campaign war chest of at least $6 million, which included donations from across the country – funding unavailable during his unsuccessful challenge of Mr. Klein in 2008.

Mr. West far outraised Mr. Klein, who had receipts of almost $3.8 million, in one of the most expensive congressional races in the country.

“Klein wasn’t a bad candidate. He just ran into a buzz saw,” Mr. Wagner said.

Like his tea party supporters, Mr. West embraces patriotic symbols and rhetoric and frequently rails against “socialist” liberals in Congress. He promotes a need to respect the “rule of law” and the Constitution, and holds particular scorn for “tax-and-spend” governing.

He attracted national attention long before he ever considered running for Congress, when the Army investigated his handling of a detainee while serving in Taji, Iraq, in August 2003. Then-Lt. Col. West acknowledged firing a pistol near the detainee’s head to elicit information to protect his troops.

After an Army investigation, he paid a $5,000 fine for his conduct and was allowed to retire with full benefits in 2004. He defended his actions as a way to protect his men, and his case became a cause celebre in many veterans and conservative activist circles.

The conservative media and an endorsement by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin helped spread his message nationwide. And a 2009 speech in which he evoked the Revolutionary War – viewed more than 2.3 million times on YouTube – made him an instant folk hero to many.

“When you look at our budget appropriations process, we have a government that just spends without any priorities,” Mr. West told The Washington Times in an interview earlier this month. “We need to get spending back to within the constitutional mandates of the federal government, and I think if we start to take those principled types of stances, which is what the American people are looking for us to do, we will right this ship that we’re on.”

Mr. West isn’t afraid to challenge leaders of his own party, already calling out House Republican leaders for scheduling “only” 123 workdays for 2011.

“Congress needs to work to create jobs, reduce the deficit, strengthen our economy, limit the size of government and contend with a plethora of national security issues,” said Mr. West in a letter to incoming House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Virginia Republican. “How are we to do that when, among other things, we start off being in session only 10 days the entire month of January?”

Examining Black Loyalty to Democrats

Finally, a black guy tells the truth about how democrats have lied to, and used, black people for decades to get their votes. This is really good.

It’s a little over 18 minutes but well worth watching! It’s just too bad this couldn’t be required viewing in every school in America, especially schools that have a majority of black students, so they can learn the truth about the democrat party.

Two black Georgia Dems bolt party for GOP, calling it “too liberal”

Let’s hope this, along with the recent elections of LTC West in FL and and Tim Scott in SC, is the beginning of a movement by some blacks, to abandon the Dimocratic plantation that has enslaved them for decades, and ruined the black family, while keeping them living mostly in squalor and dependent upon guilty white liberals for their pathetic subsistence from the government.

It only takes a few brave people to get the ball rolling…I just wish they would point out every chance they get that Dr. King was a Republican, and the KKK was almost 100% Democrats.

Two African-American Democrats on Thursday announced that they were joining the Republican Party

Hall County Commissioner Ashley Bell and former state executive committee member Andre Walker said the Democratic Party had grown too liberal and they are finding a new home with the Republicans.

The state GOP touted Bell as the first black elected official in modern times in Georgia to leave the Democrats for the GOP. But that distinction belongs to former state Sen. Roy Allen of Savannah, who joined the Republican Party in 1994.

Bell was introduced as a Republican at a news conference Thursday at party headquarters.

“My district is pretty Republican as it is,” Bell told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “My wife and I have been thinking about this for six months.”

He said they are both conservative “and the Democratic Party has been our home. The party had conservatives and liberals both in the party. [But] this election showed us the liberal wing of the Democratic Party is very, very strong. If your’e a conservative, it became more difficult to be in the Democratic Party.”

Bell, a former national president of the College Democrats of America, was a 2004 delegate to the Democratic National Convention.

Bell has two more years left on his term and said he was switching now to make his intentions known. He said he plans to run for re-election as a Republican.

Walker, who runs the political blog Georgia Unfiltered, resigned from the Democratic Party’s state executive committee. Walker was a delegate to the 2004 Democratic National Convention and is a former president of College Democrats of Georgia.

ince the first Democratic lawmaker bolted to the Republican Party, left-leaning activists have mocked and ridiculed those individuals as being self-serving people only looking for ways to remain in office,” Walker told the AJC. “But I’m not an elected official. I don’t hold public office. I’m not trying to protect my seat. I don’t have a seat to protect. I’m just a regular citizen with a healthy interest in the political process, and I’m joining the GOP because of ideology.”

Walker, who has been increasingly critical of the Democratic Party in recent weeks, said he looks “forward to convincing other people who look like me that it’s okay to vote Republican and support Republican candidates. It’s time for the black vote to be competitive again.”
