Charles Johnson uses Jawa Report to label Geert Wilders Fascist

Chuckle (Charles Johnson from LGF) again takes a shot at  Geert Wilders with the Fascist label. He uses the Jawa Report’s analysis of Geert Wilder’s recent speech in Florida. Jawa applauds Geert Wilders for standing against Islam, but calls some of his ideas Fascist. They don’t call him a Fascist but disagree with some of his ideas like banning the Koran. Nancy however jumps on this and bashes Geert.

Jawa Report Notes Geert Wilders’ ‘Fascist Tendencies’

I see that Robert Spencer is spewing some more insults at me today. Oh well, what are you gonna do?

Meanwhile, there’s at least one “anti-jihad” blogger who isn’t being taken in by Geert Wilders’ call to strip Muslims of their right to freedom of religion: The Jawa Report: Cheers for Geert Wilders’ Bravery at Standing Against the Islamist Tide, Jeers for his Fascist Tendencies.

Kudos to Rusty Shackleford. He correctly points out that it’s “inconsistent” for Wilders to claim to be standing up for freedom of expression at the same time as he calls for banning books and taking away basic rights from people; but I’ll go further. It’s deeply hypocritical, and deeply un-American to call for these things. These are fascist opinions. And American citizens who applaud this kind of rabble-rousing populist garbage should be ashamed of themselves.

Charles it is Americans like you that don’t understand Islam or ever dealt with Muslims that should be ashamed. I have dealt with Muslims in my life, and everyone I have met have been 2 faced lying scumbags. Also having Spaniard and Sicilian blood in me, I will never forget Islam’s attempt to exterminate my ancestors. The Spaniards fought and won a 700 year war to be free of Islam. So I stand with Geert or anyone that fights Islam.

Update: Charles Non Muslims are not tolerated in their nations, why should we be tolerant of them?

Hillary Displays Dhimmitude to Islam

Hillary who is supposedly a “Hawk” is sure acting like a dove. She is kissing up to the Muslim world. Instead of showing strength, she is displaying weakness.

Clinton Vows to Reach Out to Islamic World

TOKYO, Feb. 17 — Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday the Obama administration will make “a concerted effort” to restore the image of the United States in the Islamic world and will seek to “enlist the help of Muslims around the world against the extremists.”

Clinton, who on Wednesday will travel to Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim country, told students at Tokyo University that “this is one of the central security challenges we face — as to how to better communicate in a way that gets through the rhetoric and through the demagogy and is heard by people who can make judgments about what we stand for and who we truly are.”

Clinton’s remarks came in response to a question about the “prejudice” in the United States against Muslims because of terrorism, a term she rejected forcefully, pointing to the history of Christians. “I am a Christian,” she said. “Through the centuries we have had many people who have done terrible things in the name of Christianity. They have perverted the religion.”

I wish Hillary would give an example. If she mentions the Crusades, it was a counter attack against the 7th Century Jihad. This is another example of Dhimmitude.

Charles throws Geert Wilders under the Bus

Charles wrote an email to Geert Wilders a while back asking him about his planned alliance with the Vlaams Belang. He hasn’t answered. Now with the Dutch charging him with hate speech, Charles kicks him.

Geert Wilders to Be Charged with Hate Speech in Netherlands

Wilders, however, has called for the Koran to be outlawed. In other words, Wilders wants to ban books with which he doesn’t agree. If there’s one thing we should have learned from history, it’s that book-banning never turns out well—and it’s anathema to the American ideals of free speech and free choice of religion.

This prosecution is disgusting and wrong, but it’s difficult to cast Wilders as an icon of free speech when he explicitly advocates taking away the rights of others.

Charles has now turned on Geert. All becausehe never recieved an answer to his email. This shows Charles isn’t serious about Jihad and is fake. But it gets better! Kilgore and Sharmuta have their say as well!

Sharmuta 1/21/09 10:34:35 am reply quote

I’m also having a hard time being sympathetic if he’s going to run with neo-fascists and their sympathizers. But I guess that’s the price one pays for the company they keep.

But is agenda to ban the Quran and make Islam illegal is reprehensible. The laws used to prosecute him for free speech are equally awful. He would have a much better moral standing and would be a much better advocate for freedom of speech if he also advocated freedom for others.

Killgore’s Pro-Islamic colors are showing and Sharmuta is just following Charles. This is sick and pathetic. LGF is increasing isolated and irrelevant.

When Truth Hurts

Prosecute.

A Dutch court has ordered prosecutors to put a right-wing politician on trial for making anti-Islamic statements.

Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders made a controversial film last year equating Islam with violence and has likened the Koran to Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf.

“In a democratic system, hate speech is considered so serious that it is in the general interest to… draw a clear line,” the court in Amsterdam said.

“…to draw a clear line…”

Between what? Free speech and hate speech? Or between unpopular truth and popular fantasy? Between intolerant hatred and bigotry hidden under the guise of religion?

There is more on the line here than Freedom of speech. It is one thing to limit free speech by prosecuting inciting and hateful comments. But the real danger is to limit free speech that expresses truth.
