Bob Beckel calls for a moratorium on visas for Islamic Students

If there bis any group in America that should oppose Islamists, its Liberals. The hard Left Progressive/Marxists types love Islam and openly support Jihadists. Some like Bob Beckel have no love for Islam and call it out. Beckel is now calling for a moratorium on students visas from Islamic countries.

Fox News analyst Bob Beckel defended his comments about temporarily prohibiting Muslim students from entering the country Tuesday saying it wasn’t a position he takes lightly.

“My point is not to suggest that there’s a cell of 70,000 people here. What I’m suggesting is that those students coming from those countries where [they] harbor resentment against the United States, if we could save one Boston marathon event or one child’s life by saying we’re going to take a two-year hiatus from countries that we know do not like us and know from whence terrorism is coming,” Beckel told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly on her show.

On Monday evening’s edition of “The Five,” which Beckel co-hosts, he suggested “cutting off” Muslim students from coming into this country for some time, in response to the Boston bombing.

“I think we really have to consider, that given the fact so many people hate us, we’re going to have to cut off Muslim students from coming to this country for some period of time so that we can at least absorb what we got, look at what we’ve got and decide whether some of the people here should be sent back home or sent to prison,” Beckel said Monday.

Kudos to Bob Beckel for speaking the truth. If the Republicans were a serious party, they should do the following; offer to work on Immigration reform in exchange for not allowing Immigrants from Islamic. he pretext should be that the attitudes of those nations are Homophobic and anti-Women. This would divide the Left and make Republicans look as if they are defending Women and Gays from people who hate them. But I am dreaming since many Republican politicians are bought and paid for by Arab oil money.

I wish more on the Left spoke out against Islamists like Bob Beckel.

Form I-485: How to fill out Part 3C

Never heard of OMB No. 1615-0023? I hadn’t either until a fellow Blogmockrateer sent me a link. Here’s another hint: Form I-485. I doubt that it rings a bell with many readers here, so here’s the scoop. Form I-485 is entitled
Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

In other words, it’s one of the first steps toward becoming a Citizen of the United States of America, and the 6-page questionnaire (18 Jan 11) is brilliant. It carefully screens out undesirables based upon several carefully crafted questions. Sections 1, 2, 4 & 5 are reasonable, as they ask for name, country of origin, relatives, etc, and if you might be Elian Gonzales, in which case you’re screwed.

Section 3C of Form I-485 should be retitled “Are You Fukkin’ Stupid?”

We’re going to simplify the questions. This may be tedious for some, but bear with me because it’s got a punchline. Ready?

Question 1: Are you a criminal, or are you just a scofflaw who doesn’t know how to drive?

Question 2: Are you a leech?

Question 3: Are you a whore or a pimp? Are you an operator of cockfights? Have you ever played professional football, and if so, is your name Michael Vick? Are you involved in transporting criminals into the U.S.? Are you a drug smuggler working for a foreign cartel?

Question 4: Are you a terrorist?

Question 5: Are you spying on us? Are you an anarchist? Are you bein’ a dick?

Question 6: Are you a communist, and do you spell it with a capital C?

Question 7: Are you a German nazi, racist, bigot, brownshirt shithead? (Note: This doesn’t apply to other nazis, only German ones. According to this survey, the rest of you are cool.)

Question 8: Did you ever have a rough time with the bouncer?

Question 9: Are you a forger?

Question 10: Do you now have an affinity for hockey, get a tear in your eye at the sight of a red maple leaf, and are offended by the term “hoser?”

Question 11: WTF?

Questi0n 12: Are you a kidnapper?

Question 13: Are you an unreformed Mormon?

Question 14: HOLY CRAP. Anyone stupid enough to say “Yes” to any part of this question should be shot on sight.

Question 15: If I say Che, you say _____?

Question 16: This is a trick question to see if you were lying on Nos. 1-15.

Question 17: Another trick question. You sure you’re not a liar?

Question 18: Did you ever earn a merit badge for marksmanship while a member of the Boy Scouts of America? Did your father, uncle or grandfather ever take you hunting?

Now let’s go back to the top of Section 3C.

Did you get that?

“Answering ‘Yes’ does not necessarily mean that you are not entitled to adjust status or register for permanent residence.”

To summarize:

You may be eligible for US Citizenship if you’re a communist/nazi/anarchist gun-smuggling drug-dealing prostitute/pimp with ties to terrorist organizations who is involved in human trafficking and has first hand experience torturing prisoners. Feel safer now?

Immigration from Mexico and Latin America falls

by Phantom Ace ( 3 Comments › )

Due to a combination of a declining American economy, declining Latin American birthrates and Improving Latin economies, Immigration from those nations have fallen sharply. In the case of Mexico, it has crawled to zero. This changes the whole equation in the illegal immigration debate. If the legal numbers are down, that means those who are coming here illegally now are not doing it to seek jobs. They are coming here for drug distribution. If there are available visas slots from Mexico, that means those seeking work are not coming.

Immigration from Mexico to the United States has slowed down toward zero: that’s the thrust of an excellent story by Damien Cave in the New York Times (complete with excellent interactive graphics). I plan to write a column on that subject, but I can’t resist pointing out that I have been predicting this trend for more than two years now.

Examples:

June 7, 2009 blogpost. “There’s a need on all sides to rethink immigration policy. Both advocates and opponents of comprehensive bills have based their arguments on the assumption that large-scale immigration from Latin America and parts of Asia will continue indefinitely. But what if that assumption is false? Yes, our current recession is presumably temporary. But there is at least one other reason to assume that immigration from Latin America may not resume at previous levels: birth rates in Mexico and other Latin countries fell sharply around 1990.” The decline in Mexican birth rates is mentioned in the New York Times story.

This takes away a weapon from the Amnesty crowd. I have in my personal observation a decline in legal immigration from Latin American nations. As mentioned declining birthrates lowers the immigration poll. The improved economies in Latin America give people an incentive to stay home. Hence the call for amnesty is nonsense at this point. It’s not workers that will be legalized, they can apply for visas now due to the declining numbers. It will be cartel lackeys and drug runners.

On a flip side, the United States has a set quota of visas for Immigrants to enter per year. If Latin and Asian immigration have declined, who do you think are filling up the slots?

You know the answer.

It’s not just our southern border

I have often wondered why Americans who are rightfully concerned with our Southern border with Mexico don’t worry about our border with Canada. Our Northern neighbor has an Islamic population of 2.5%. A good percentage of this population is Lebanese Shiite and there are Hizballah operatives in that nation. There are Somalis as well and the presence of Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Shabab. The Jihadi danger in Canada is due to the previous government’s Pro-Islamic immigration policy. The Islamic Imperialists are not allowed to be criticized and much of the Progressive Canadian establishment supports them. Our Northern border is actually more dangerous than the Mexican one since it’s severely undermanned. Yet no attention is paid to this danger!

In the second part of a series on America’s borders, retired Border Patrol Chief J.William Carter outlines how America’s northern border is probably more vulnerable than the border with Mexico.

LOOK TO THE NORTH AND SOUTH
OUR INTERNATIONAL BORDERS ARE OUT OF CONTROL. Some suggest that we are moving in the right direction simply because apprehensions, as well as attempted entries by illegal aliens, are down from previous years. I contend that as long as one person is successful in crossing our borders without inspection, our borders will never be in control. Anyone bent on entering the United States will find a way, and the way may not necessarily be across our southern border with Mexico.

In addition to our southern border with Mexico, there are the northern border with Canada and the coastal borders of Florida and the island of Puerto Rico. The northern border is 4,000 miles long and today is patrolled by approximately 1,000 Border Patrol agents assigned to seven Border Patrol sectors. This border has gone essentially unnoticed and, except for manned crossing points, largely unattended until the invasion of September 11, 2001. Prior to that terrorist declaration of war, the staffing level on our entire northern border with Canada was approximately 350 Border Patrol agents, and if we were to consider temporary duty (TDY), days off, emergency leave, and sick leave, who knows what that number would be reduced to on any given day. What I do know is that it would be an unacceptable number with unacceptable consequences—an essentially open border.

[…]

With what appears to be an effective border control strategy in place along our southern border, as the number of Border Patrol apprehensions declined from 1,189,000 in 2005 to 724,000 in 2008, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) must continue to focus its attention on our northern border with Canada and our coastlines. The apprehensions made between the ports of entry on the northern border are virtually flat-lined, with a slight increase since 2005. Once it becomes too difficult to enter illegally across our southern border, the move will be immediate to the northern and coastal borders.

The Progressive media focuses on the Southern border to distract Conservatives from the Northern threat. Although some Islamic infiltrators have been caught in the south, the vast majority come in from Canada. It’s easier, since any person from an Islamic country can enter Canada and just come across the undefended border. It’s no coincidence Minneapolis is full of Somalis and Dearborn is full of Arabs. These people didn’t come in from Mexico, it’s from Canada.

This in no way downplays the dangers of the Mexican Cartels. We need to secure our border with Mexico. Our border with Canada also needs to be secure and there should be focus on that as well. Border security means securing all borders, not just one that gets media attention.
