Animated waving Tea Party (Gadsden) 'Don't Tread On Me' flag

The leftist thugs of the NAACP have made common cause with the jihadi thugs of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to try to muzzle free speech at an event held by the Mansfield North Central Ohio Tea Party. We salute the Tea Party organizers for standing their ground!

According to the FBI, CAIR was listed as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee and was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial. Even so, CAIR never misses a chance to try to bully both private organizations and governmental bodies (even the US Air Force Academy) into cancelling speaking events where somebody might reveal the truth about the dangers posed by Islam. The very fact that our government allows a foreign enemy organization (which is exactly what CAIR is) to operate on US soil is an absolute disgrace. The federal government should deport all of these subversives, and no federal, State or local governmental body should allow itself to be intimidated by them – or by any organization, such as the NAACP, that makes common cause with them.

Mansfield News Journal: Mansfield school chief pulls plug on ‘anti-Islamic’ tea party event

(h/t: Weasel Zippers, vagabond trader)

1:40 PM, Mar. 28, 2011

MANSFIELD — A Mansfield North Central Ohio Tea Party Association event featuring a speaker on radical Islam will go on at 7 p.m. today as planned, but in a different location.

Usama Dakdok will speak at Premier Office Complex, 1456 Park Avenue West, Suite J. Attendees are advised to bring lawn chairs.

The group had planned to meet at its usual location at the high school until this morning, when Mansfield City Schools Superintendent Dan Freund, citing safety concerns, withdrew permission for the group to meet there.

Speaking at a 10:30 a.m. press conference at the school’s central office, 856 W. Cook Road, Freund said that, after consulting with Mansfield City Police, the school decided it could not guarantee public safety at a Mansfield North Central Ohio Tea Party Association event scheduled for 7 p.m. [emphasis added]

In his comments, Freund said the district’s decision was prompted by safety concerns and not by the presumed content of the scheduled speaker’s message.

The Mansfield Branch of NAACP followed with a press conference of their own at 11 a.m.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m. today, the NAACP announced it would hold a joint press conference at 11 a.m. to ask the Mansfield City Schools Board of Education and superintendent to withdraw permission for the tea party meeting tonight. Around 10 a.m., the superintendent’s office annnounced a press conference for 10:30 a.m.

According to a press release issued this morning, NAACP will be joined at the 11 a.m. press conference by representatives from the Council on American-Islamic Relations [CAIR, emphasis added], Mansfield Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance and other civic community leaders.

NAACP is asking for a “rigorous review” of the school’s facilities use guidelines and policies before an event scheduled for Mansfield Senior High School community room at 7 p.m. today.

Mansfield North Central Ohio Tea Party Association, which meets regularly at the high school, will host guest speaker Usama Dakdok. The press release announcing his appearance said that Dakdok will “reveal the ways that we are not just losing our freedoms, but that we are surrendering them to our enemy, radical Islam. He will explain what Islam is and what Muslims believe.” The event is open to the public and, according to the tea party press release “a freewill offering will be taken.”
[…]
The NAACP press release states: “We must stand together as a community and realize there exists many, diverse cultures in America. We as Americans have a right to choose whatever religion we wish to follow. It is our country’s diversity which has made us a nation rich in cultural experience and our children have a right to know that whatever faith they choose to follow, that they will not be judged by their color or religion, but by the content of their character.”…

The fact that a school superintendent is behaving this way is just one more argument for privatizing our educational system. There is a huge conflict of interest whenever any governmental body controls the purse strings of any school system. I would have no problem with a system of purely local schools, where only the families involved with each individual school have a voice in how money is raised and spent, what is taught there, who is hired, and how the buildings may be used both during and outside of school hours.

It is especially ironic that leftist and pro-jihadi organizations such as the NAACP and CAIR keep trying to play the “freedom of religion” card when their real intention is to suppress the freedom of speech of anybody they disagree with. Both organizations know perfectly well what they are doing: they are using our sometimes misguided understanding of what our liberties entail, so as to put an end to those very liberties once and for all.

Jihadi Troll Incites Blog War Among Counterjihadists

Anti-jihadists vs. Anti-jihadists: Something Else at Work

By Julia Gorin – Reprinted with permission.

When the scholar and author Srdja Trifkovic was turned back at the Vancouver airport on Feb. 24 — after a Bosnian-Muslim organization called The Institute for Research of Genocide in Canada alerted authorities that a “genocide denier” was within their borders — Greater Islam and its useful idiots saw an opportunity, and pounced.

The name “Trifkovic” rang a bell in the head of a young writer named Aymenn Jawad al-Tamimi, who quickly recalled that anti-jihadist Robert Spencer had written supportively of him and his work in the past. Hearing that Trifkovic didn’t buy into the Srebrenica Genocide, al-Tamimi saw a path to killing two birds with one stone. And went digging for dirt.

Soon enough, he found something, or as close to something as one can find on Dr. Trifkovic. What he found was a symposium that Trifkovic, a paleoconservative, had participated in last year on a radical Right website called Alt Right, responding to the question: Is the traditionalist, paleoconservative Right anti-Semitic, as is popularly perceived? The moderator of the panel was a Jewish paleocon named Eugene Girin. Joining Trifkovic was Paul Gottfried, also a Jewish paleocon, and the third panelist was well-known anti-Semitic paleocon Taki Theodoracopulos.

Reading the following paragraphs in the Trifkovic essay, al-Tamimi thought he’d caught the man red-handed in the act of Jew-hating…

Read the rest here – very long article, but worth reading.

The ensuing brouhaha was very reminiscent of the infamous “Vlaams Belang” episode at the fever swamp. Julia Gorin, who is Jewish, does an excellent job of showing why none of Dr. Trifkovic’s comments can be construed as anti-Semitic.

Ironically, Emir Ramic, the Bosnian Muslim libelist who played the biggest role in stopping Dr. Trifkovic from speaking in Canada, is both a jihadi and an anti-Semite.

I am posting this because it appears that our enemies have found a way to drive wedges into the counterjihad movement and to set us against one another, so as to render us ineffective. It is high time we stop allowing ourselves to be jerked around in this way.

Yes, I know that many people on this blog are put off by the term “paleoconservative,” and not without cause. The “paleoconservative” designation was adopted some time ago by a mixed bag of conservatives who wished to distinguish themselves both from the “neocons” associated with PNAC (Project for a New American Century) and from libertarians. Unfortunately, the term “paleoconservative” became tainted because some (though certainly not all) of that group were anti-Semitic or anti-Israel. In the case of Dr. Trifkovic, who supports Israel and the Jews, the term “conservative traditionalist” would perhaps be more accurate.

I have met Dr. Srdja Trifkovic in person more than once. I have heard him speak. I have read two books and many articles that he has written. It is clear to me that Dr. Trifkovic is no anti-Semite, but rather, a gentleman, a respected scholar, and a hero of free speech, of the counterjihad, and of the Serbian people.

It is time for all of us who are part of the counterjihad to stop allowing our enemies to set us against one another. Instead, it is time for us to cooperate, to stand together, and, above all, to avoid repeating any unfounded accusations.

Subject: Letter in Defense of Professor Sdrja Trifkovic.

The Globe and Mail

Letter to the editor(s)

28 February 2011

It is said that truth is the first victim of war – and there could be no better example than the 1990’s war in the Balkans.

As an American, I have always admired Canada’s value of freedom of speech, especially in its universities. That appears not to be the case today at the University of British Columbia where, apparently based on one protest to the president of the university from the Institute for the Research of Genocide Canada, renown Balkan expert Professor Srdja Trifkovic was denied entry into Canada.
.
For a university to allow only one side of an issue to be heard is a gross disservice to its students. Surely, Canada does not want to be compared to Hitler’s Germany, or to Stalin’s Sovietn Union, for that is how they controlled the minds of their students. Let the students hear the evidence and then let them judge for themselves, or perhaps President Toope does not believe that his students are mature enough to hear the other side of the story.

In 1999, Serbian forces were accused of killing 700 Kosovo Albanians, grinding up their bodies and throwing them down the Trepca mine shaft after they had been incinerated. Not so. The outrageous story was proven to be a hoax by New York Times journalist Daniel Pearl. Hatred against the Serbs by the pro-Bosnian media was further fanned by reports of Serbs having killed 250,000 Bosnians. However, a 2002 BBC report puts the number killed in Bosnia, on all sides, at 40,000

If we are to talk about Srebrenica, we should then talk about the fact that not only Srebrenica, but the Sarajevo, Tuzla, Bihac and Gorazde “safe areas,” that were supposed to be demilitarized, were used for training, recuperating and refurbishing troops not only for Bosnian government forces but also for mujahidin fighters from the entire Islamic world to fight the Christian Serbs. Although 7,000 is a large number alleged to have been killed by Serbian forces, a number challenged by Defense & Foreign Affairs analyst, Gregory Copley, along with a former UN official, intelligence experts and journalists, who released a statement that the alleged casualty number of 7,000 victims as “vastly inflated and unsupported by evidence.” While the alleged Srebrenica massacre in July 1995 received massive media coverage, the fact that 14,000 Serbian men, women and children were killed in August 1995 by Croatian forces during Operation Storm, as well as 250,000 who were ethnically cleansed from their ancestral lands in the Krajina region of Croatia, received little coverage in the Western media. Commanding Operation Storm, with massive US support, was Brig Gen. Agim Ceku, an ethnic Kosovo Albanian. Operation Storm became the largest land offensive in Europe since World War II and resulted in the murder and inhumane treatment of thousands of ethnic Serbs.

The decision to ban Professor Srdja Trifkovic from Canada can only go down as a black mark in Canadian history. Let those who disagree with Professor Trifkovic engage him in a battle of facts and intellect, not hide behind boycotts and name calling. Let the University of British Columbia be an institute of learning, not a close-minded propaganda mill.

The Long Jihadi March Through Western Institutions Reaches Rutgers

Another well-known American university capitulates to the ongoing Islamic infiltration of our universities. The purpose of a Muslim chaplaincy and a Center for Islamic Life is to convert as many non-Muslim students as possible to Islam, and to create sympathy to the Muslim agenda among America’s future leaders.

Rutgers hires two Muslim chaplains, pushes for Center for Islamic Life

(h/t: Muslim Alert)

Center for Islamic Life…aka a mosque / dawah center. Creeping on campuses all over the U.S. via Muslim chaplains continue CILRU growth – Daily Targum – News.

Members of the University’s Muslim community took a step forward in their efforts to develop the Center for Islamic Life at Rutgers University (CILRU) with the hiring of two Muslim chaplains on campus.

Since the start of this semester, Brother Faraz Khan and Imam Moutaz Charaf have been serving part-time as campus chaplains, giving guidance, advice and council to all University students.
[…]
They also hope to acquire a physical location for CILRU in coming years to serve as a central point for the Muslim community, Piracha said. A building would enable them to house chaplaincy activities and host programs.

“I think a physical presence helps, especially now when you see Islam on the news all the time,” he said. “You’re in college … You’re inquisitive, everyone’s inquisitive. We want to know, ‘Really, who are these people?’”

But like the chaplaincy, Catovic said the facility would not be exclusive to Muslim students — the entire University community would be welcome.

There’s already a strong, vocal Arab – Muslim presence on campus including the Muslim Brotherhood-founded MSA.

Read it all.

In this regard, the jihadis are following the much earlier example of the Communists, who pursued the strategy of cultural hegemony promulgated by Antonio Gramsci. This came to be known as the “long march through the institutions” or the “long march through the culture.”

Is university a good thing? I spent 3 years learning to be a Trotskyist

By Peter Hitchens

What are universities for anyway? I went to one and spent the whole time being a Trotskyist troublemaker at the taxpayers’ expense, completely neglecting my course. I have learned a thousand times more during my 30-year remedial course in the University of Fleet Street, still under way.

I am still ashamed of the way I lived off the taxes of millions of people who would have loved three years free from the demands of work, to think and to learn, but never had the chance.

We seem to accept without question that it is a good thing that the young should go through this dubious experience. Worse, employers seem to have fallen completely for the idea that a university degree is essential – when it is often a handicap.

For many people, college is a corrupting, demoralising experience. They imagine they are independent when they are in fact parasites, living off their parents or off others and these days often doomed to return home with a sense of grievance and no job. They also become used to being in debt – a state that previous generations rightly regarded with horror and fear.
[…]
If they have learned self-disciplined habits of work and life, they are under pressure to forget all about them, suddenly left alone in a world almost completely stripped of authority.

And if they are being taught an arts subject, they will find that their courses are crammed with anti-Christian, anti-Western, anti-traditional material. Proper literature is despised and ‘deconstructed’.
[…]
The horrible liberal Woodrow Wilson, who eventually became President of the United States, was originally an academic who once blurted out the truth as seen by many such people. He said in a rare moment of candour: ‘Our aim is to turn out young men as unlike their fathers as possible.’

Well, look at the modern world as governed by graduates who despise their fathers’ views, and what do you see?

Idealist wars that slaughter millions, the vast corruption of the welfare state, the war on the married family – and in this country the almost total disappearance of proper manufacturing industry.

Rather than putting an entire generation in debt, the time has come to close most of our universities and shrink the rest so they do what they are supposed to do – educating an elite in the best that has ever been written, thought and said, and undertaking real hard scientific research.

Or do these places exist only to hide the terrible youth unemployment that is a result of having a country run by graduates?

Read it all.
