Al-Qaeda to beef up its Libyan Presence

We here at Blogmocracy were the first Conservative blog to come against the Libyan War. Other blogs like the Progressive Republican blog Hot Air, were all gung ho for another Wilsonian Democracy building project. As usual, they had eggs on their face. Our resident Islamic scholar Phillip Daniels pointed out that Al-Qaeda had created an Emirate in Eastern Libya. Once again, thanks to our knowledge of Islam we have been vindicated. The Popular Uprising, was just a mask for a Jihadi takeover of that nation.

Reports are now circulating that Al_Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri is sending veteran fighters to beef up their presence in Libya. Despite attacking us on 9/11, the US/NATO backed AL-Qaeda’s Libyan branch takeover of Libya. Seeing an opportunity to establish more training camps and get more recruits AL-Qaeda is concentrating in the Eastern regions on the Libyan border.

(CNN) — Al Qaeda’s leadership has sent experienced jihadists to Libya in an effort to build a fighting force there, according to a Libyan source briefed by Western counter-terrorism officials.

The jihadists include one veteran fighter who had been detained in Britain on suspicion of terrorism. The source describes him as committed to al Qaeda’s global cause and to attacking U.S. interests.

The source told CNN that the al Qaeda leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri, personally dispatched the former British detainee to Libya earlier this year as the Gadhafi regime lost control of large swathes of the country.

The man arrived in Libya in May and has since begun recruiting fighters in the eastern region of the country, near the Egyptian border. He now has some 200 fighters mobilized, the source added. Western intelligence agencies are aware of his activities, according to the source.

I wonder what John McCain and his girlfriend Lindsey Graham have to say about their heroes being in cahoots with AL-Qaeda? I’m sure Islamic sympathizer Barack Hussein Obama and Palestinian terror supporter Hillary Clinton love the idea of an Islamic Caliphate. The Progressive movement is allied with Islam. Both are Transnational and Totalitarian in nature. However, I will never give a pass to so called “conservatives” like McCain an Ms.d Graham or blogs like Hot Air that give cover to the False Messiah.

Libya will soon be Afghanistan on the Mediterranean,. How’s that Islamic Democracy working out?

I can actually see this happening to shore up the women’s vote if Obmama is slipping too far in the polls and the economy continues to be in the doldrums..

ROBERT REICH: Get Ready For A Obama-Clinton Presidential Ticket

My political prediction for 2012 (based on absolutely no inside information): Hillary Clinton and Joe Bidenswap places. Biden becomes Secretary of State — a position he’s apparently coveted for years. And Hillary Clinton, Vice President. So the Democratic ticket for 2012 is Obama-Clinton.

Why do I say this? Because Obama needs to stir the passions and enthusiasms of a Democratic base that’s been disillusioned with his cave-ins to regressive Republicans. Hillary Clinton on the ticket can do that.

Moreover, the economy won’t be in superb shape in the months leading up to Election Day. Indeed, if the European debt crisis grows worse and if China’s economy continues to slow, there’s a better than even chance we’ll be back in a recession. Clinton would help deflect attention from the bad economy and put it on foreign policy, where she and Obama have shined.

The deal would also make Clinton the obvious Democratic presidential candidate in 2016 — offering the Democrats a shot at twelve (or more) years in the White House, something the Republicans had with Ronald Reagan and the first George Bush but which the Democrats haven’t had since FDR. Twelve years gives the party in power a chance to reshape the Supreme Court as well as put an indelible stamp on America.

According to the latest Gallup poll, the duo are this year’s most admired man and woman This marks the fourth consecutive win for  Obama while Clinton has been the most admired woman in each of the last 10 years. She’a topped the list 16 times since 1993, exceeding the record held by former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, who topped the list 13 times.

Obama-Clinton in 2012. It’s a natural.

Wastebook 2011; How the Government Wastes Our Tax Dollars

Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) has released his 2011 Wastebook which is your handy guide for some of the most egregious wastes of taxpayer money. The following are a few of my favorites:

$14 million to convert 3 Alaska radar stations from diesel power to wind turbine power.

$765,828 to subsidize “pancakes for yuppies” in Washington D.C.

$15 million for super bridge to nowhere in Alaska

$120 million in benefits checks to dead federal employees

$113,227 for video game preservation

$17.8 million in foreign aid to the Chicoms

$484,000 to fund drug-themed “Mellow Mushroom” pizza joint in Arlington, TX

$10 million to remake the Pakistani version of Sesame Street

But I don’t want to spoil all of the fun. Follow this link to scroll through 67 pages of pure spending foolishness.

I saw today that the approval rating for Congress is at an all-time low of 11%. Those 11% need to be hunted down and “re-educated”.

Thank you Senator Coburn for sharing this.

EPA Ponders Expanded Regulatory Power In Name of ‘Sustainable Development’

If you think that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is now an over-reaching, all powerful, job-killing, liberty-stealing monster of a bureaucracy, the following article will scare the britches off of you. The grand high commissars of the EPA want to use existing laws to regulate “sustainable development”. What the hell does that mean? Read the whole article and find out. The following are a few choice excerpts.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency wants to change how it analyzes problems and makes decisions, in a way that will give it vastly expanded power to regulate businesses, communities and ecosystems in the name of “sustainable development,” the centerpiece of a global United Nations conference slated for Rio de Janeiro next June.

Its aim: how to integrate sustainability “as one of the key drivers within the regulatory responsibilities of EPA.” The panel who wrote the study declares part of its job to be “providing guidance to EPA on how it might implement its existing statutory authority to contribute more fully to a more sustainable-development trajectory for the United States.”

Or, in other words, how to use existing laws to new ends.

According to the Academies, the sustainability study “both incorporates and goes beyond an approach based on assessing and managing the risks posed by pollutants that has largely shaped environmental policy since the 1980s.”

It is already known in EPA circles as the “Green Book,” and is frequently compared by insiders to the “Red Book,” a study on using risk management techniques to guide evaluation of carcinogenic chemicals that the agency touts as the basis of its overall approach to environmental issues for the past 30 years. At the time that the “Green Book” study was commissioned, in August, 2010, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson termed it “the next phase of environmental protection,” and asserted that it will be “fundamental to the future of the EPA.” Jackson compared the new approach, it would articulate to “the difference between treating disease and pursuing wellness.” It was, she said, “a new opportunity to show how environmentally protective and sustainable we can be,” and would affect “every aspect” of EPA’s work.

According to the study itself, the adoption of the new “sustainability framework” will make the EPA more “anticipatory” in its approach to environmental issues, broaden its focus to include both social and economic as well as environmental “pillars,” and “strengthen EPA as an organization and a leader in the nation’s progress toward a sustainable future.”

Whatever EPA does with its suggestions, the study emphasizes, will be “discretionary.” But the study urges EPA to “create a new culture among all EPA employees,” and hire an array of new experts in order to bring the sustainability focus to every corner of the agency and its operations. Changes will move faster “as EPA’s intentions and goals in sustainability become clear to employees,” the study says.
