Bill Clinton and Al Gore blames Hurricane Sandy on Global Warming

The 1990’s was probably the best time of my life. I made good money, travel and had fun in life. One thing I don’t miss is Bill Clinton and Al Gore, not that I liked what came after also. Unlike the 1990’s Bill Clinton and Al Gore never went away. Clinton is campaigning for Obama. Gore is like a diseases that refuses to go away. He made a movie based on the AG hysteria and made millions in speeches. He is held up by the media as some prophet who must be heeded. Both of these clowns have weighed in on Hurricane Sandy.
Bill Clinton while campaigning for Obama, blamed Global Warming for Hurricane Sandy and attacks Mitt Romney.

Bill Clinton should ask his new buddy Obama why he hasn’t stopped sea rise. Not to be undone, Al Gore joins his old boss in blaming Global Warming for Hurricane Sandy.

While it did not take long it was expected. Former vice president Al Gore put out a statement on his blog on Tuesday and blamed the intensity of Hurricane Sandy on “global warming pollution.”

The images of Sandy’s flooding brought back memories of a similar–albeit smaller scale– event in Nashville just two years ago. There, unprecedented rainfall caused widespread flooding, wreaking havoc and submerging sections of my hometown. For me, the Nashville flood was a milestone. For many, Hurricane Sandy may prove to be a similar event: a time when the climate crisis—which is often sequestered to the far reaches of our everyday awareness became a reality.

[…]

Gore concluded at the end of his blog that “dirty energy makes dirty weather.”:

Hurricane Sandy is a disturbing sign of things to come. We must heed this warning and act quickly to solve the climate crisis. Dirty energy makes dirty weather.

Bill Clinton and Al Gore should have stayed in the 90’s. These 2 clowns need to go away and just disappear.

Bizarre, The Only Adjective That Fits The Democrats’ Big Party.

Political Cartoons by Glenn McCoy

Yesterday I wrote about the strange optics of the DNC, and today, I realize that I didn’t really do it justice. It is tough to describe in words just really how bizarre the entire spectacle is. I will concede that Former President, (and thank God we are able to use the description former in this phrase,) Bill Clinton knows how to whip up a crowd and engage his audience while speechifying. The only problem for the Obama campaign is that the fact checkers will have a field day with the whoppers told by Clinton during his incredibly long, self aggrandizing, ultimately back stabbing speech which was ostensibly given to promote the current occupant of the Oval Office. This capping of the day’s events of course followed a line up that has a resume thinner then that of Barack Obama himself, which is something I would have thought impossible.

For years, we have been told by the media and by the Democrats that bigotry against everyone, including puppies and grannies, resided solely in the Republican Party. This, despite the fact that a former grand whatever in the Ku Klux Klan served as a Democrat Senator from West Virginia for over 60 years. When the Democrats released their platform this year, something funny happened, they came right out with language that screamed, we officially hate Jews, and we hate their little homeland too. When a very small group of media types became curious, (Fox News,) and began asking questions, the Democrats spent a whole day claiming the whole thing was simply a mistake, oversight, no big deal really, and then decided to correct the whole thing with an amendment to the platform. Here is what happened.

What you heard, was what I believe to be a full 50% of the delegates in attendance of one of our two major parties’ conventions, affirm that they indeed hate Jews and their little homeland too.

After this, we got a speaking lineup, which usually consists of people who are leaders within the party, or who’s accomplishments place them in the category of up and comers. Barack Obama became a key note speaker in 2004, after having accomplished nothing in his life to that point, and now, 8 years later, his one term in office will always be equated with Clint Eastwood speaking to an empty chair at the RNC. Not wishing to miss that magic, Sandra Fluke was penciled in for a prime time slot. Her only accomplishment to date is becoming famous as a third year law student who can not afford the $9 per month for her contraception. In a statement made in a press conference held by Nancy Pelosi, another of the night’s speakers, staged as a fake congressional hearing, Fluke told the nation’s press that she feels having me pay for her birth control is a basic human right. In the same time slot at the RNC, Niki Haley spoke, she is the Governor of the State of South Carolina. Somehow, according to Sandra, if I fail to cough up the Ten Spot every month so that she can enjoy a consequence free social life, that some how interferes with her, “reproductive rights.” So, to Sandra I have two things to say, use all of the birth control you wish, please, just leave me out of it, which means don’t expect me to pay, which should be my right as a citizen. Next, after seeing your moronic boyfriend on his youtube channel, Georgetown includes a vision plan as a part of their insurance package. Get a pair of glasses, and then when you are able to see him clearly, that will more than suffice as adequate birth control.

Next we got a dose of Cecile Richards, who told us that somehow, being a woman is a pre-existing condition, and that women in general are not treated medically due to insurance companies engaging in some sort of a conspiracy to kill off half of our population, which includes by the way, mothers, daughters, wives, and half of the friends of the insurance executives themselves. Planned Parenthood is one of the great money laundering scams of all time. They claim to provide women’s health services, which by the way they do not. They do not do cancer screenings, mammograms, pap smears, or any medical procedure or test outside of performing abortions. They claim that less than 2% of their funding comes from the federal government, and yet when that funding is threatened, the screams could wake the dead babies which resulted from their operations. Cecile Richards herself receives a Million Bones a year to provide zero services and claim that they do it all. I say, let them exist as a true 501c(3) organization, and live within the letter of that particular section of tax code, which precludes public funding in any form. That way, when Michael Moore and Barack Obama wish to donate to charity, they will have their worthy target. I won’t be forced to donate against my will. During the RNC’s corresponding time slot, Suzanne Martinez, the Governor of the State of New Mexico, spoke to Republican delegates.

Then we got Barney Frank, the man who bears the largest portion of blame for the mortgage meltdown and the housing crisis. He told us how his signature and thankfully last legislative achievement, will prevent banks from engaging in the very activities that he forced them to engage in, in the first place. What he failed to mention was the simple fact that the law exempts the two major culprits, Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac, forced a major consolidation of existing banks to eliminate competition and create even larger versions of the, “too big to fail,” monsters, and did nothing to reign in the disastrous consequences of the Community Reinvestment Act. He also failed to mention that he held continual public hearings to thwart every effort of President Bush when he did attempt to put an end to the farce that indeed caused the crisis. During this time slot at the RNC, Marco Rubio, Senator from Florida gave a rousing speech that was truly inspirational.

Want to be even more scared? The GSE’s like I told you before, still exist in exactly the same form and capability as before the crisis.

Let’s not forget Elizabeth Warren, who’s shtick we’ve heard before. She is a flat out Marxist with such a skewed view of reality that she believes that her having high cheekbones qualifies her as a minority, (one 32nd Cherokee to be precise.) The statement of, “you didn’t build that,’ which has caused every member of the Obama Team to scream you took the Bamster’s statement out of context, originated with a viral speech delivered by Warren earlier this year. It started out as the anthem of liberals everywhere, and was touted in almost every forum, until it was so thoroughly rebutted, about a day later, that it quickly lost steam. With Team Obama contorting their position on this so as to remain Socialists, while at the same time back tracking from this lunacy, it was perplexing to me that they would include Fauxcahontas as a prime time speaker, knowing that she would triple down on this statement. Her speech truly defined bizarre, as she claimed to love success, just that she hated successful people. Class warfare was most prevalent in her speech, which of course is always a winner at the events populated by today’s Democrat Party.

Then we got Bill Clinton, in the spot usually reserved for the Vice Presidential Candidate. He gave a rousing speech which reminisced about his 8 years in office in a manner that would have been great, if only it were a true description of events. Lost in his speech were the small facts that his personal additions to the Community Reinvestment Act were the most damaging and put the teeth into the law that gave Barney Frank the green light to single handedly destroy our economy. He neglected to discuss how his raiding of the Strategic Petroleum Reserves helped to create a particularly bad recession which began just as George Bush took the oath of office in January of 2001. During his glowing recollection of how well the capital markets and investment performed during his 8 years on office, he forgot to mention that much of that investment was made possible by allowing his friends at Goldman Sachs and others to mostly ignore the anti-fraud laws on the books that led up to the dotcom collapse, the Enron collapse, the Worldcom collapse, the Adelphia collapse, and others. This highlights another problem with overbearing regulation, in that those regulations are so inconsistently applied, and there is nothing to suggest that the laws of our land will ever be applied consistently. The speech spanned 51 minutes, and true to Clinton form, contained some real whoppers. Clinton claimed that Democrat Administrations over the last 50 years have produced double the amount of job creation when compared to their Republican counterparts, which is simply too funny to ponder. Jimmy Carter’s term alone would be enough to scuttle that fib, and we still have the economic chaos of the Johnson and Obama Administrations to throw into the mix. The claim that things would have been worse without the heroic leadership of Barack Obama is simply moronic on its face. Enjoy this graph from the Minneapolis Federal Reserve, as a counter to that statement.

By the way, there has been only one mention of climate change so far, out of 80 speeches. In case you have forgotten, the mythical man made climate change has for years been sold to us as the reason we should purposefully destroy our national economy and do away with the free market system that has served us so well for 236 years. (I know that the current meme du jour is that the free market system was responsible for the latest collapse, even though anyone paying attention knows full well that it was our deviation from that system that did the damage.)

Clinton To Keynote For The Bamster: Celebrate Now, Or Wait For The Sabotage?

I wasn’t certain of which cartoon to go with for this thread. Does the one depicting a patronizing Bill Clinton lavishing left handed compliments on the man child President make the better statement?

Michael Ramirez Cartoon

Or, would the one highlighting the vastly diminished stature of our man child President when compared to the adults in the room, the other 43 members of the world’s most exclusive fraternity, make the better choice?

Michael Ramirez Cartoon

As a Romney supporter, the news that Billy Jeff would be leaving the Clinton Presidential Library and Massage Parlor long enough to deliver a key note address on behalf of Barack Obama brought me real joy. You may be wondering, what would bring Bill Clinton to a DNC convention that his wife, our current Secretary of State, will not be attending. Bear in mind that this comes after Clinton was reported to have pushed his wife to challenge for the nomination this year, after he gave real praise to Obama’s opponent on more than one occasion, and then followed up with a few crumbs of left handed praise once called out by the Zero’s mouthpieces. There have also been numerous reports of Clinton making it known that he believes that America would be much better off, should Romney defeat Obama in November.

There’s also this to consider, Bringing in Clinton, just after Team Zero was forced to go on all of the Sunday talk shows proclaiming the 42nd President to be senile, is a sign of real desperation. Everyone knows that all election teams hire their own internal pollsters. They take the pulse of the electorate, and for their own internal usage, they are shooting for as accurate a read as possible. What we will never know, is what information those internal polls actually produce. We can guess, there are leaks, conjecture, but we will never be on the receiving end of the actual product delivered to the people paying the bills. My conjecture is that Obama’s internal numbers have told him that he is in real trouble, (the signs of which we have seen aplenty without the vaunted polls,) and needs to take some drastic action now.

Let’s cast our memories back 4 years ago, shall we. After the conventions, McCain had a 5 point lead when two events happened within a week. One was the Lehman Brothers collapse, causing money market funds across the nation to, “break the buck.” The other event was that Bill Clinton officially joined the Obama campaign. Bill joining the Bamster on the stump probably did more to get Obama elected than any other event that transpired during those last few months of the campaign. It was no secret then that the two were not chummy, nor even really cordial towards one another. Their love has not grown over these last four years. In fact, Don Clintonleone has not missed an opportunity beat up on his successor, and then making up for it with the most shameless transparent left handed praise known to have ever been extended.

What exactly is Bill’s motivation here. He does not like Obama, not one little bit. Frankly, with two egos that size, I’m amazed that the both of them are able to fit into one state at the same time. Bill relishes the role of being the only Democrat since FDR to have been reelected for a second term. Something he gets to keep saying after November should the current President receive the voter’s rebuke he so richly deserves. He still has designs on calling 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue home again, which would be much more possible in 2016 were Hillary to be running to oust Mitt Romney rather than following the Bozo Administration after eight years of Hopety Change Malaise.

One thing that this will do however, it will get people to watch these otherwise boring speeches on the telly, rather than watching the cable drama alternatives for those three days instead. Bill Clinton is like that misbehaved child who everyone had their eyes focused upon during religious services just to see what happened next. I really can not wait to hear Clinton praising Obama in some superficial manner and then delivering the phaser death ray in that left handed manner the very next moment. I’m sure his speech during the convention will be all it should from the Obama team’s standpoint during the convention. It’s the time afterwards that you’ll have to watch out for.

What’s more, Obama and his team doubtless know all of this, which makes this move smack even more of desperation. Either the party has struck some sort of wild deal with Clinton, which is not out of the realm of possibility, or they have no other plays left, and are throwing a Hail Mary Pass with 99 days left. Clinton’s feint praise will not be enough to sway an election this time around. First of all, he doesn’t mean it, and that will doubtless slip through, not because Clinton isn’t capable of pulling off the lie, he is. It will slip through primarily because Clinton will wish it to. Secondly, since Obama now has a record with which he can be identified, Bill Clinton no longer has an empty template with which to paint the picture of a Messiah upon. Bill Clinton was a moderately popular guy, winning a plurality election twice, but he was also very careful to move to the center when the nation rebuked his leftist tendencies. Not so for Barack Obama. When the nation filed its restraining order in 2010, he doubled down on shifting even further to the left, talked about his problems with our old friend messaging again, and dared the Republicans to run this campaign on a message of repealing Obamacare and Dodd Frank. Now that they’re going to take him up on that offer, it looks as though Bill Clinton has been called in to lend a hand. This should be fun for the whole family.

The Clinton’s secret war against Obama

by Mojambo ( 59 Comments › )

It is no secret that the vindictive Clinton’s have never reconciled losing the nomination to the “amateur” (as Bill Clinton referred to him) Barack Obama. It makes perfect sense that Bill Clinton wants Romney to win in November.  If  Obama wins another four years he will be as toxic as George W. Bush was in 2008 (maybe even more so) and no Democrat will stand a chance in 2016. Hillary made a huge mistake taking the position of Secretary of State (in which she has not distinguished herself) and thus tying herself in with Obama. By the way I like that the author finally points out that we have a RNC chairman Reince Priebus who unlike his predecessor Michael  Steele, is up to the job.

by Thomas Lifson

Panic is setting in among the people who ran the Democratic Party prior to the miraculous arrival on the scene of Barack Hussein Obama and the perfect storm of events that propelled him into the White House.

These people, starting with Bill Clinton, the master Democratic politician of our era, can read the tea leaves, and the following factors alarm them:

1. Obama has energized his opposition.  Despite throwing everything they could into the game, the turnout effort in Wisconsin was handily beaten by those Tea Party nobodies and an RNC head who is actually up to the job.

2. Obama has alienated hugely important constituencies.  Labor unions, utterly essentially to the ground game in November, feel betrayed, and are starting to focus more on their own survival than the success of the Obama re-election campaign.  The antiwar left feels betrayed over Gitmo, drones, rendition, domestic surveillance, and a host of other issues.  They turned out in San Francisco picketing his fundraisers, and spoke of not voting.  His Bain Capital attacks are verging into a repudiation of capitalism, so Wall Street and the finance sector are getting alarmed, and the essential flow of political contributions to Democrats from them is drying up.

3. The economy is a disaster, and Obama is doing all the wrong things.  The administration is reduced to making implausible claims of spending moderation based on an internet post.  The public is fed up with Obama’s performance, and his personal popularity is declining and will tank further as he goes increasingly negative on Romney.  Swing voters are almost as negative about Obama as are Romney voters.

4. Obama is out for himself, and himself only.  He has even thrown national security under the bus, allowing the leaking of critical information to the press about intelligence operations and cyber-warfare, and feigning outrage in Friday’s presser over the idea that he would do such a thing.  Never mind what they say publicly; the insiders know that we are at cyber-war with Iran and China, among others, right now.  Following the prosecutorial lynching of Scooter Libby, it is politically impossible to sweep this leak, which actually is causing our allies to shun information-sharing with us, under the rug.  Unlike the Valerie Plame case, people have died, and intelligence operations have been seriously harmed.

5. A wave election is shaping up.  Democrats could be swept out of office in Congress, and on down to statehouses, city halls, and dog pounds.  With the left flank threatening to stay home, union funds and enthusiasm depleted, and Obama offering nothing but negativity, while Tea Partiers mobilize nationally as never before seen on the GOP side, the electorate will skew so far right that the GOP could end up as dominant in 2013 as the Democrats were in 2009.

It’s already leaking into the smarter corners of the media world: Obama is killing the Democratic Party.  The tipping point is here.

This, not coincidence, is why several brainy Democrats, including Cory Booker, Deval Patrick, Ed Rendell, and Lanny Davis, have been providing sound bites that can be used by the Romney campaign to destroy the effectiveness of Obama’s attacks on Mitt Romney.  The biggest damage has been done by Bill Clinton, whose barrage includes providing the title for the current number-one bestseller about Obama, Ed Klein’s The Amateur, calling Mitt Romney’s business track record at Bain “sterling,” and stating that the Bush tax rates should not be increased, disagreeing with Obama.

Ralph Nader thinks he knows what is going on, and told the Daily Caller‘s Nicholas Ballasy:

He’s laying down the groundwork for Hillary Clinton running for president in 2016. Everything she is doing and everything he is doing argues that they want to run Hillary Clinton for president in 2016, so while he might appear with Obama in fundraisers in New York and elsewhere, he’s basically undermining Obama.

My colleague Richard Baehr believes that Bill Clinton actively wants Obama to lose:

Bill Clinton thinks long term. Hillary will run in 2016, I am certain of it. No one loses the bug after one attempt when they came that close. I am guessing that Clinton thinks that if Obama wins this time, it will be tougher in 2016 for Hillary than if Romney wins. If Obama wins, then Hillary has to run at age 69 against a Rubio or a Ryan — somebody young and charismatic. She goes down in flames, especially if economy is still in the tank.

But if Romney wins, Clinton thinks he will have his hands full, and there is no magic bullet to turn the economy around. He is right.  In fact, all the stuff that could happen January 1st with taxes going up and spending cuts could sink the economy into a big hole for another few years. If Obama loses in November, do you think he cooperates with GOP to avoid this?  I don’t.  If Romney wins, then Hillary runs against him in 2016, after people think GOP did not solve the problems. She wins.

All very logical.  But there are only two problems with this scenario.

1. If the Clintons and their allies, like Ed Rendell and Lanny Davis, are believed by black voters to have sabotaged the re-election of the first black president, blacks will turn with fury on the Clintons.  I do not imagine for a moment that Barack Obama will quietly sit back and take what he sees as abuse from the Clinton gang.  If word is already out that Cory Booker is “dead to” Obama, we can be certain that the president will let his most devoted followers know if he regards the Clintons as traitors, should he lose.  No Democrat can be elected president without an overwhelming share of the black vote.

2. Countless other elected Democrats in Congress and down the ticket stand to lose their offices if discouraged Democrats stay home and a wave election results.  Lobbying prospects would be reduced in tandem with the loss of Democratic officeholders.

The Clinton forces are already warning the rest of the party that the Obama operation is not to be trusted.  Lanny Davis called Obama’s people “vicious”:

You have vicious people who are working for the president – not the president [himself] – who are saying that Corey Booker – one of the great supporters of President Obama’s policies – is ‘dead’ because he’s giving the president good advice, disagreeing with the Kool-Aid drinking people in the campaign who think the way to win the presidency is to trash the other guy rather than to defend your own guy’s record.

[W]hy would they want to create enemies, or depict people as enemies, who are their friends?

[…]

Bill Clinton, for all his bonhomie in public, is a bitter man — first for his impeachment, and second for the humiliation he and his partner were dealt by the Obama forces in 2008.  A man prone to purple rages in private, following his heart surgery, he may be taking his revenge slowly, a moderate blood pressure, as it were, smiling when walking back the latest diss.

Until Obama came along, Bill was hopeful that the novelty and wonder of history’s first husband-and-wife team of presidents would overwhelm the shame of his impeachment and lying under oath.  Obama spoiled that, and made Clinton’s sobriquet “first black president” faintly ridiculous.

Whichever way the current campaign goes, with Obama defeated and the party in ruins, or with Obama off the ticket and Hillary triumphantly accepting the nomination for the good of the party and the nation, or so we will be told, Bill Clinton would prefer it to a second Obama term.  And this time, he may get his way.
