Dang. Occasionally I run across images that defy description, and I’m completely stumped with this one. Nothing I can say can compete with the complete and awesome vapidity of Granny Adipose kayaking through squashed spuds. Of course, after another generous helping of BlogMocRadio, everything else is just gravy, including this Overnight Open Thread.

Did Somebody Say Shark Week?

If I’m not mistaken, that’s a juvenile rock shark. A subspecies of  Peridotite, the rock shark’s fierce appearance is merely camouflage, as these sharks are the slowest swimmers in the pool and pose no threat to humans.

As for “Shark Week,” I’m not sure of the origins, but it’s likely the result of an underground grassroots petition to congress; a benign conspiracy swimming just below the sonar, not unlike this Overnight Open Thread.

Troubleshooting Your Buns

With the discovery of the existence of this amazing tool of the future, it’s apparent that Europe’s buns don’t always work as designed.

“Yes, sah, may I help you?”
“I bought two Big Macs, and me buns don’t work.”
“Oy. Bun problems, eh? I’ll fetch the Bun Trouble Shooter. One moment… There you go, sah! Good as new. Had to tweak the heel/club heights a bit. Should be tickety boo now, sah.”

Whew. That was a close one. If it weren’t for modern technology like the bun diagnostic tool, we might have had an irate customer on our hands. Instead we have an Overnight Open Thread.

Stereo Nozzles

No photoshop here. These pups actually have stereo nozzles.

There is a rare breed of dog named the Double-Nosed Andean Tiger Hound, found in Bolivia, and no, I’m not making this up. Someone named “Explorer Colonel John Blashford-Snell” found them, and I’m not making that up either.

Here’s Mama:

Here’s Sonny.

Apparently the Double-Nosed Andean Tiger Hound smells twice as good as most dogs and is capable of 3-dimensional scent detection. But don’t take one for a ride. The dog gets confused and frustrated trying to put its head out of both car windows at the same time.

Okay, I made that last part up, and I smell an Overnight Open Thread.
