Republican House votes to rebuke the Libyan War

Speaker John Boehner finally grew some balls. In a rare rebuke of Obama, the House passed a resolution demdning Obama comply with the war powers act.

Crossing party lines to deliver a stunning rebuke to the commander in chief, the vast majority of the House voted Friday for resolutions telling President Obama he has broken the constitutional chain of authority by committing U.S. troops to the international military mission in Libya.

In two votes — on competing resolutions that amounted to legislative lectures of Mr. Obama— Congress escalated the brewing constitutional clash over whether he ignored the founding document’s grant of war powers by sending U.S. troops to aid in enforcing a no-fly zone and naval blockade of Libya.

The resolutions were non-binding, and only one of them passed, but taken together, roughly three-quarters of the House voted to put Mr. Obama on notice that he must give explain himself or else face future consequences, possibly including having funds for the war cut off.

“He has a chance to get this right. If he doesn’t, Congress will exercise its constitutional authority and make it right,” said House Speaker John A. Boehner, the Ohio Republican who wrote the resolution that passed, 268-145, and sets a two-week deadline for the president to deliver the information the House is seeking.

This is an illegal and unethical war. The House is finally standing up to Obama.

John Boehner admits debt ceiling will be raised

Liberal Republican Speaker John Boehner admitted to a constituency that the debt ceiling will have to be raised many times. This shows he’s not serious about debt and deficit reduction. Clearly this whole debt ceiling debate is just public posturing to appear as if they are serious about the budget.

DAYTON, Ohio (Reuters) – This John Boehner was not the John Boehner that Tea Party leaders in the room thought they knew.

[….]

The private April 25 meeting was convened by the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives at the request of Tea Party leaders, who were seething over recent Republican compromises, most notably on the 2011 budget.

One of the 25 or so leaders, all from Boehner’s district, asked him if Republicans would raise America’s $14.3 trillion debt limit.

According to half a dozen attendees interviewed by Reuters, the most powerful Republican in Washington said “yes.”

“And we’re going to have to raise it again in the future,” he added. With the mass retirement of America’s Baby Boomers, he explained, it would take 20 years to balance the U.S. budget and 30 years after that to erase the nation’s huge fiscal deficit.

Boehner, we don’t have 50 years to get our house in order. I will give John Boehner credit, he’s being honest that the Congressional GOP is not serious.

John Boehner shows his Liberal side

House Speaker and political Eunuch John Boehner showed his Liberal Rockefeller Republican. He has come out and said that NJ. Governor Chris Cristie and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels should run. Clearly the GOP establishment hasn’t learned its lesson. Although Christie is Conservative on fiscal and economic issues, he’s not on gun issues and many Conservatives wouldn’t support him just for that stance. Mitch Daniels is a useless loser whose wife cheated on him, ran off with another man and he begged her back. He supports a VAT Tax and is a Liberal Compassionate Conservative. He would be a punching bag for the Left and would be defeated easily by Obama and the Progressive machine.

House Speaker John Boehner didn’t watch last week’s Republican presidential debate, but he knows whom he wants to see in the next one: Govs. Chris Christie and Mitch Daniels.

Asked Tuesday on NBC’s “Today” if Christie would make a strong candidate, Boehner responded, “I do,” adding that the New Jersey governor “ has done a great job and he speaks English, which the American people like – English, like in plain talk.”

Then, without prompting, Boehner brought up the Indiana governor, who has been slightly warmer to a candidacy than Christie. “I think Mitch Daniels is looking at this seriously … [a] person with a track record of reform in his state, the kind of reforms we need in Washington, D.C.”

If Chris Christie changed his stance on Guns for the national audience in a Presidential primaries, he would be unbeatable. He would not be bullied by the Left and would take the fight to Obama. However, Christie has said he’s not running.

Mitch Daniels is a useless clown who looks like Uncle Fester. I would support him over Obama, but would do so after drinking some beer and taking a few shot of vodka. Then after his election, I will turn my guns on him and attack him like I do Obama.

Clearly the political Eunuch John Boehner really hasn’t gotten it. So far, he’s been a lousy speaker and has given into Obama when push comes to shove. It’s because of his uselessness as speaker why 52% of Republicans are considering supporting a 3rd Party. This isn’t a bluff and the GOP elites better take heed. You can’t have a Center-Left Party establishment in control of a party composed of Conservatives. Something really has to give or Obama might just defeat a divided GOP in 2012. The Republican Establishment needs to realize that they are a minority within the party. Most Republicans are Conservative and the Presidential candidate should reflect that.

Obama Boom: Independent Agency says US should have Bond rating of C

This is really damning news. The US currently has a AAA bond rating due to its historic ability to pay back debt. However thanks to the 3rd World style economics of policies of the Obama regime, it’s now at risk. An independent agency said that because of the size of it'[s debt, the US should really have a C rating.

There have been increasing concerns about the fate of United States’ prized triple-A sovereign debt rating. While Standard and Poor’s recently downgraded its U.S. debt outlook to negative from stable, implying that a ratings cut could happen in two years, one independent ratings agency has given the U.S. sovereign rating a “C”.

“A ‘C’ is equivalent to approximately a triple-B on the S&P, Moody’s and Fitch scales. It’s two notches above junk and one notch above the equivalent of a single A,” Martin Weiss, President of Weiss Ratings, told CNBC Tuesday.

This should be a wake up call to the Obama Regime. A C rating would have disastrous consequences for this nation. Boehner and his gang need to grow a pair and stand up to Obama and Bernanke.
