Christine O’Donnell considers 2014 Senate run

Some people really don’t get the hint. Anti-masturbation activist Christine O’Donnell was routed back in the 2010 Delaware Senate race. Now she is contemplating a run  in 2014. O’Donnell claims she owes it to her supporters.

Christine O’Donnell, who signaled the tea party’s ascendance two years ago when she wrested the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate from longtime U.S. Rep. Mike Castle, said at the urging of supporters, she’s giving serious thought to a 2014 rematch against the man who beat her in the general election, U.S. Sen. Chris Coons.

“I think I owe that to my supporters, to at least consider a run,” O’Donnell said in an interview last week. “People sacrificed. Not only came out of their comfort zone – sacrificed to hard in order to win the primary. And I think that I owe it to them to give it every consideration.”

Christine O’Donnell needs to get a real job.

Christine O’Donnell is accused of intellectual theft

Former Delaware senatorial candidate the unemployed (and Mark Levin promoted) Christine O’Donnell  ran one of the worst campaigns in history as she discussed masturbation and ran ads denying  that she was not a witch.   Some suspected she was really a Democratic false flag operative and now speculation is further fueled by her signing on with Al Gore’s Current TV to have a show. That show which she was going to host is a reality show about the Tea Party vs. the Occupy Movement.  The problem is that it turns out that Christine O’Donnell stole the idea from producer Gordon G.C. Gebert.

Remember when Christine O’Donnell was a tea party favorite and promised she would win a Senate seat from Delaware for the Republicans?  On the strength of her appeal to tea party conservatives, she defeated Mike Castle, a former governor and then-current member of the US House of Representatives, in the 2010 primary. Castle, who has won statewide elective office many times, was a near certainty to win the seat, but O’Donnell’s ambition and ability to seize tea party momentum defeated him.

Things did not work out as O’Donnell promised. She ended up losing in a landslide (a 17 point margin), and now Democratic Senator Chris Coons holds the seat, helping elect Harry Reid as Majority Leader now, and God help us, maybe next year, too.

O’Donnell appears to have moved on to a new disgrace, allegedly stealing the idea for a television show from its originator, and joining with Al Gore-affiliated Current TV to develop a show based on someone else’s idea.  Unfortunately for Ms. O’Donnell, the man she allegedly tried to rip off is no fool, took steps to protect his intellectual property, and has a lot of friends in the conservative blogosphere.

I wish this probable false flag operative would go away as she does not represent the Tea Party movement. Christine O’Donnell should go back to calling for banning masturbation on Bill Maher’s show.

Christine O’Donell and the Celebrity politician

Christine O’Donnell is the epitome of a political loser. She ran for Senator in Delaware and lost 3 times. Sarah Palin who was her mentor, wants nothing to do with her. O’Donnell’s book tour is flopping as well. Although this article is written by Meghan McCain, she actually is right about O’Donnell. Like Obama, she’s a celebrity politician.

News has been filtering out all week about the mess of a book tour Christine O’Donnell has been on. Her book Troublemaker: Let’s Do What It Takes to Make America Great Again reportedly has sold only 2,200 copies and only five people showed up at a book signing she held in Naples, Fla., with one person coming only to ask her to sign a book on demonology. While promoting her book, she generated a flurry of publicity by walking off Piers Morgan’s show on CNN, because she said she was being “sexually harassed” by Morgan when he started asking her about gay marriage.

[….]

O’Donnell is the result of an epidemic within politics today. She’s a politician that can gather international media attention by using cheap tricks and publicity stunts with little to no substance or experience to back it up. This is a woman who at one point was getting so much attention, that Saturday Night Live cold opened an episode with a parody of one of her campaign ads.

The idea of the celebrity politician is nothing new, and depending on one’s perspective, either President Obama or Sarah Palin are the country’s first celebrity politicians. But O’Donnell is our first “fad” politician, meaning she is a politician whose moment is fleeting but intense and memorable for all of the wrong reasons.

O’Donnell isn’t to be completely blamed for what happened to her. She was promoted and lauded for her association with Tea Party values yet not vetted in the way someone seriously considering running for Senate should be. The result is a not-ready-for-primetime candidate who proceeds to make rookie mistakes, all the while embarrassing their party and themselves and proving to everyone what most knew all along—they are unelectable. Style and media attention have come to outweigh issues and substance. The media feeds into it, and these politicians who aren’t prepared and seasoned enough make fools of themselves.

Christine O’Donnell is a loon and hopefully she goes away.

Christine O’Donnell will NOT be speaking at Staurday’s Tea Party rally in Iowa

The organizers of the Iowa Tea Party rally that will feature Sarah Palin are a bunch of keystone cops. They had invited Christine O’Donnell on the assumption she was a Tea Party hero and pal of Palin. It turned out her and Palin haven’t spoken since the election and many Iowa Tea Partiers didn’t want her there. So after inviting, dis-inviting and re-inviting her, Palin’s handlers threaten to pull her from the schedule if Christine O’Donnell spoke. In response, O’Donnell was dumped from the speaking lineup.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is set to appear at a tea party rally in Iowa Saturday, a source close to Palin told CNN.

And Christine O’Donnell is out (again), the source said.

[…]

Representatives for O’Donnell did not respond to CNN’s requests for comment Wednesday, but Ken Crow, one of the rally organizers, told the Des Moines Register that he dis-invited O’Donnell at the Palin camp’s request.

The Palin source said O’Donnell’s representatives misled the tea party group about the extent of the governor’s relationship with O’Donnell.

O’Donnell’s representatives told event organizers that she would be in Iowa on the date of the rally and would like to come by and “say hi” to Palin, the source said. O’Donnell was then added to the speaking agenda.

The source told CNN that O’Donnell aides lied to organizers and said Palin had been communicating via text message with O’Donnell about the rally.

“The governor hasn’t spoken to her in a year,” the Palin source said of O’Donnell.

I don’t blame Sarah Palin for not wanting to be seen with Christine O’Donnell. At the same time, she took O’Donnell from an obscure anti-masturbation activist into a political heroine to some Conservatives. Clearly Christine O’Donnell is too toxic even for Sarah Palin.

Christine O’Donnell needs to realize that being against masturbation, doesn’t make you popular in politics. Too many voters do it!
