Finding Out What’s In It: Part Oh-My-God

Remembering back to that ancient date of December of 2009, when Nancy Pelosi declared that Obamacare, or as it should be termed at least in the alternate, Zerocare, was the Democrats Christmas Gift to the nation, I distinctly remember almost every media outlet in the country running stories about how those of us who opposed this crap sandwich were officially not as well informed as those who supported it. They published official sounding studies conducted by the dregs of academia to prove to all that we knew nothing about what we were saying, both in terms of the destructive economics and the social costs of this terrible piece of legislation. Well once again, if you have liberal friends and family with whom you will be sharing a Thanksgiving meal, you can look forward to the Obama Administration interdicting themselves into the middle of your quality time together via a talking points memo. Have no fear however, because with this helpful talking points memo put together by Ace of Spades HQ, you can answer with the fact that we turned out to be correct, about everything.

If you don’t like following links, the memo follows below:

1. Hey remember when you said that Obamacare was going to work great, and then, when people asked you how it actually worked, you sort of implied they were stupid for not knowing, and yet you never provided any evidence that you had any idea of how it was supposed to work yourself? Yeah, you were wrong to do that.

2. Remember when you called me crazy for saying Obama wanted to “spread the wealth around,” based on not a scrap of evidence except for Obama himself saying he wanted to spread the wealth around? Yeah, there’s a NYT article that says that Obamacare is fundamentally a redistributive program — which means it “spreads the wealth around.” Yeah you were wrong on that, too.

3. Remember when you said that it was only “REPUBLICAN LIES!!111!!” that Obama’s “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan” promise was itself a lie? I hate to keep coming back to this point, but you were way wrong on that one too.

4. Remember the “if you like your doctor” pledge? Yeah I feel like a broken record here, but you were wrong.

5. Remember when you gleefully, giddily declared the end of the Republican Party and a new era of Proud Progressive dominance? Yeah, the current political Big Story is whether or not Obamacare will wind up discrediting progressivism for just an election cycle or two, or as much as a generation. It looks like you were wrong about that.

6. Remember when you were so confident, arrogant, snotty, sneering, and dismissive about legitimate and informed concerns about Obamacare? You were wrong. And you weren’t just wrong on the facts, but you were wrong on a human level. You very nearly screamed your ignorant opinions and shouted down dissent. You sneered at people as ignorant who actually knew more than you did, and you indulged in entirely-unwarranted moral preening about your alleged concern for the poor. Despite the fact that you never do anything to actually aid the poor. Apparently shouting at relatives is your idea of “charity.”

Yeah you were wrong. You are wrong.

I know you won’t apologize, but at least keep your stupid mouth shut this year and let us all digest in peace.

As it turns out, something in this law is far more egregious than a $635 Million website that fails to implement a simple virtual shopping cart. It is far more egregious than the insanely disastrous economics being inflicted upon our nation having caused us to now enjoy the lowest labor force participation rate since the Black Death ravaged Europe. It is far more egregious than the fact that Doctors and Hospitals, no longer feeling all warm and fuzzy about officially being accused of performing unwarranted surgery or purposefully keeping people sick for no other reason than to satisfy their own grotesque greed, inexplicably folding up shop and taking their toys home to a more appreciative audience. It is far more egregious than insurance companies which have become legally obligated to hemorrhage money with each new client acquired, suddenly realizing that they would be better off no longer taking on new clients, or even keeping the ones that they had in most cases.

Remember when we warned that one of the effects of the law would be a significant loss of our Constitutional Protections, and the political left called us crazy? Well, You’re going to love this news report highlighting the loss of the Fourth Amendment, made possible of course by your favorite Law and mine.

Be certain to follow that link, as the video of the story is even scarier than any description that I could make. Below is the money quote from the NBC report:

Some drivers along a busy Fort Worth street on Friday were stopped at a police roadblock and directed into a parking lot, where they were asked by federal contractors for samples of their breath, saliva and even blood.

It was part of a government research study aimed at determining the number of drunken or drug-impaired drivers.

You see, since your driving habits, or more specifically, the possibility that you may be affecting your own health and the health of others while you drive now falls under the auspices of the public interest, more specifically the health care that all of society is now financially on the hook for, The Fourth Amendment has now been trumped, because Democrats passed this law, which we should never attempt to repeal. If this outrage is allowed to stand, this game becomes easy to play. Guns of course can be proven to be harmful to somebody’s health, I’m sure. You might have too much sugar or butter in your kitchen. Are you exercising enough? Literally, there is no aspect of human existence that will be exempt from the scrutiny of a ruling elite. More to the point, I’m certain that the ruling elites knew in advance that there would be a reaction to this. The calculus is to get us all used to surrendering our rights slowly, and over time, just eventually accepting the inevitable loss of our freedoms, for our own good of course.

A lawyer friend of mine read the article linked to above, and sent an email like the one below to every employer of every member of the PIRE board. We’re waiting with baited breath for the replies, but some how I suspect that everyone involved is on board with this. Academia has become ground zero for the ruling class elites who feel it their business to inflict themselves into my business. Be sure to hold your breath along with me for that well thought out response. (For those of you who live in Kentucky, the good news is that your state tax dollars actually were used to pay for this unconstitutional road block in Texas. I’m pretty sure that I saw some California institutions of higher learning on that list as well. These are great days we’re living my friends.)

Dear President Capilouto: (cc’d Dean Stephen Wyatt, DMD, MPH; and the Bioethics department)

I was disturbed to read about the police-assisted roadblock and research project described in this news report: http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/North-Texas-Drivers-Stopped-at-Roadblock-Asked-for-Saliva-Blood-232438621.html

I pulled up the website of the research organization behind it, PIRE, and found your Richard Clayton, Ph.D.. Good Samaritan Foundation Chair in Health Promotion and Health Education, University of Kentucky Lexington, KY. He is on the board of PIRE.

Will UK vouch for this type of ethics as related to a research project??

I look forward the University’s answer.

I thank you for your time.

This latest maneuver by the Obamanation Administration should come as no surprise to anyone. Like Harry Reid’s exercising of the nuclear option in the Senate yesterday, it reeks of pure political malfeasances and desperation. The employer mandate in Obamabcae has been delayed… that’s right, you guessed it, until after the Nov 1014 mid term elections.

HHS delays 2015 enrollment to … just past the midterm elections

Guess who’s worrying about the 2014 midterms? It’s not Republicans, but the White House. In a nonsense move, HHS has announced a one-month delay in 2015 open enrollments in the ObamaCare exchange, which will mean … nothing at all for the elections:

Health and Human Services plans to delay the start of the second year of Obamacare enrollment by one month to allow insurers more time to set rates after assessing their plan experiences during 2014, a department official said Thursday night.

The decision means that sign-ups for the 2015 plan year would begin on Nov. 15, 2014 and end on Jan. 15, 2015 instead of the Oct. 15-Dec. 7 window previously announced. The date change, first reported by Bloomberg, also lengthens the enrollment period by a week. Doing so would give companies more opportunity to account for individuals, particularly young adults, who come in late during the plan’s first year, which has gotten off to a rocky start. The goal is premiums that more accurately reflect costs for those insured.

The new calendar would move the start of the 2015 open enrollment season to shortly after the November midterm elections.

This is, of course, nonsense. Insurers will have plenty of time to calculate their rates for 2015 based on their experiences in the first half of 2014, as they have every year they have been in business. This is just a transparent attempt to push off major price increases created by an inability to convince younger consumers to buy comprehensive insurance they don’t need, which will force insurers to raise premiums sharply again in the next year to make up the costs of all the mandates imposed on them for 2014. Those costs and the participation rate for various demographics will be well known in time for an October enrollment.

Why are they doing this? It couldn’t be simpler, or more obvious. 100 to 150 million American’s are going to have their health insurance cancelled when the employer mandate kicks in. If you were a Democrat, running for office or reelection, do you think you would have a prayer in hell of getting elected, or reelected if 100 to 150 million people just lost their health insurance because of your actions? Yea, the Democrat Leadership doesn’t think so either, so their plan, is to lie to you…. Again…

The Democrats are already doing their very best Captain Renault impersonation.

Dem staffers on Capitol Hill shocked, shocked at ObamaCare costs

Veteran House Democratic aides are sick over the insurance prices they’ll pay under Obamacare, and they’re scrambling to find a cure.

“In a shock to the system, the older staff in my office (folks over 59) have now found out their personal health insurance costs (even with the government contribution) have gone up 3-4 times what they were paying before,” Minh Ta, chief of staff to Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.), wrote to fellow Democratic chiefs of staff in an email message obtained by POLITICO. “Simply unacceptable.”

And as if that wasn’t enough schadenfreude for readers, here’s what comes next:

In the email, Ta noted that older congressional staffs may leave their jobs because of the change to their health insurance.

The irony here is that this is exactly what they insisted on inflicting on average American’s, but they obviously never intended or expected to be subjected to it themselves. Yes, it is a hypocritical double standard, but then again, if the Democrats didn’t have hypocritical double standards, well, they just wouldn’t have any standards at all. Marie Antoinette, as historical rumors go, once upon hearing that the peasants could not afford to make bread, replied, “Then let them eat Cake”.

What made her supposed statement so egregious, was the incredibly lavish and opulent manner in which the Royal Court at Versailles was well known to dine in. The finest foods and the finest wines in an utterly decadent abundance. Entire villages dined on the table scraps thrown out from Versailles. It was the way of the Aristocrats, the Aristocrats didn’t see anything wrong with what they were doing, it was their right as Aristocrats to have the fruits of everyone elses labors.

Those in congress are no different than the French Aristocrats living with Marie Antoinette at Versailles, they are not the Hoi polloi, “the great unwashed”, “the plebeians” or “plebs”, “the rabble”, “riff-raff”, “the herd”, “the proles” and “peons”, no, they are “Special”, they are Aristocrats, and getting the very best of everything, of enjoying the fruits of everyone elses labor is their natural right.

So, the Obamanation Administration will delay the employer mandate until after the 2014 mid terms, so that 100 to 150 million angry pissed off Hoi polloi do not take their anger out on, that’s right, you guessed it, the very people who forced this abomination of a Ponzi scheme known as Obamacare on them. This tactic is once again a reflection of the attitude of the Obamanation Administrations feeling about the average America citizen. Not only do they believe that the average American is to stupid to make the right choice if told the truth, they believe that the average American is so damned stupid that they can be fooled with a simple bait and switch tactic.

Who knows, maybe they are right, maybe you and the entire rest of the country are stupid enough to swallow more of their lies, maybe by delaying the inevitable until after the mid term elections, you genuinely will forget, maybe you really aren’t smart enough to put 1+1 together and get 2.

Rand Paul attacks Democrats on their eugenics end game

I have often wonder why politicians on the Right don’t go after Progressives on their support of eugenics? It is a weak link in the Left’s political machine and would be perfect low hanging fruit to attack. In a campaign rally in Virginia, Rand Paul goes after the ultimate aim of Progressives via Obamacare. The end game is eugenics, where those deem superior live, those deemed inferior die.

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Tea party hero Rand Paul warned scientific advancements could lead to eugenics during a Monday visit at Liberty University, looking to boost the political fortunes of fellow Republican Ken Cuccinelli’s bid for governor.

During a visit to the Christian school founded by Jerry Falwell, Paul looked to energize conservative supporters by warning that genetic tests could identify those who are predisposed to be short, overweight or less intelligent so that they could be eliminated. With one week remaining before Election Day, Cuccinelli is hoping the joint appearance with the U.S. senator from Kentucky will encourage the far-right flank of his party to abandon third-party libertarian spoiler Robert Sarvis.

“In your lifetime, much of your potential – or lack thereof – can be known simply by swabbing the inside of your cheek,” Paul said to a packed sporting arena on Liberty’s campus. “Are we prepared to select out the imperfect among us?”

Some states ran eugenics programs that sterilized those considered defective in the 1900s, though all were abandoned by the 1970s after scientists discredited the idea.

One of Obama’s former Czars, Cass Sunstein supported Eugenics. It is ingrained in Leftist ideology the concept of a superior people. The Nazi’s Master Race and Soviet New Man were both manifestations of the ultimate aim of the Left.

Rand Paul grasps the weak links of the Left. Eugenics is an open sore the Right should pick on to damage the Progressive movement.

Obamacare Navigators

Here is an item from Obama care most people have overlooked. It turns out that Obamacare has  slush fund so Community Organizers aka Navigators. The role of these people is to select the right healthcare plans for people based on personal information.

U.S. Health and Human Services secretary Kathleen Sebelius controls a $54 million slush fund to hire thousands of “navigators,” “in-person assisters,” and counselors who will propagandize and enroll Obamacare recipients in government-run health-insurance exchanges. This nanny-state navigator corps is the Mother of all Community Organizing Boondoggles. It’s also yet another Obama threat to Americans’ privacy.

A reminder about Secretary Sebelius’s sordid snooping history is in order here. In August 2009, HHS and the White House Office of Health Reform called on their ground troops to report on fellow citizens who dared to criticize their federal health-care takeover. Team Obama issued an all-points bulletin on the taxpayer-funded White House website soliciting informant e-mails. Remember?

[….]

bamacare navigators will have access to highly personal data from potential “customers” to assess their “needs.” That means income levels, birth dates, addresses, eligibility for government assistance, Social Security numbers, and sensitive medical information. They’ll be targeting both individuals and small businesses. Anyone they can lay their grubby hands on. Who’s getting the navigator grants and training? “Community groups” in 33 states that naturally include socialized-medicine-supporting unions and Saul Alinsky–steeped activist outfits.

This is a step towards eugenics.
