The company Hollywood keeps

Hollywood – not surprisingly – is about to lionize the terrorist (not”radical” as the media likes to call them) Weather Underground and Black Liberation Army that was responsible for the Nyack Brinks Robbery of October  20, 1981 which killed two policemen and one Brinks security guard and robbed 9 children of their fathers. The fact that a girlie man such as Robert Redford is producing it is another example of how some of the most radical supporters of terrorists in this country are its wealthiest and most successful citizens.

by Michelle Malkin

Bleeding-heart liberal Robert Redford is already the subject of early Oscar buzz. His much-hyped new film glamorizing the lives of Weather Underground domestic terrorists, “The Company You Keep,” will be released in the U.S. next week. But peace-loving moviegoers should save their money and take a stand.

Hollywood’s romanticizing of murderous radicals is an affront to decency. Redford and Company’s rose-colored hagiography of bloodstained killers defiles the memory of all those victimized by leftwing militants on American soil.

Tinseltown cheerleaders can’t stop gushing about Redford’s paean to gun-toting progressives, of course. Variety called the flick an “unabashedly heartfelt but competent tribute to 1960s idealism.” The entertainment daily effused: “There is something undeniably compelling, perhaps even romantic, about America’s ’60s radicals and the compromises they did or didn’t make.” […….] “This is an edge-of-your-seat thriller about real Americans who stood for their beliefs, thinking they were patriots and defending their country’s ideals against their government.”

[….]

Moviegoers would be better served by educating themselves about the real-life bank robbery and murder on which the movie is loosely based. In 1981, rich-kid Weathermen ideologues and lovers Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert joined forces with Black Liberation Army thugs and other ragtag commie revolutionaries to hold up an armored Brink’s vehicle in Nyack, N.Y. Their booty: $1.6 million to fund their violent activities. Before taking up her assignment as the getaway vehicle driver, Boudin dropped off her toddler son, Chesa Boudin, at a babysitter’s house.

Two of the holdup victims gunned down in the botched Brink’s robbery were police officers. One was a private security guard. All three were veterans from working-class backgrounds. Their names: Waverly Brown, Edward O’Grady and Peter Paige.

Boudin and Gilbert were convicted and sent to prison. Prior to her arrest in Nyack, she had been an 11-year fugitive from justice after an accidental homemade bomb explosion at her New York City townhouse resulted in the death of three people. At the time of her arrest in Nyack, Boudin gave police one of many false identities she had used to evade the law.

Boudin was paroled in 2003 after convincing parole board members that she acted nobly out of “white guilt” to protest racism against blacks. Never mind that one of the officers killed, Waverly Brown, was black.

[…….]

Refresher course: Dohrn declared war on “AmeriKKKa,” helped stage the “Days of Rage” in Chicago, when Weathermen blew up a memorial statue to police officers and rioted violently, leaving 75 policemen wounded and one permanently injured in a wheelchair, and then spent years as a fugitive from justice before settling into a comfy post as director of the Children and Family Justice Center at Northwestern University.

Ayers remains in the limelight after celebrating the Weathermen bombing the Pentagon and flitting from campuses to socialist regimes and back preaching education as the “motor force for revolution.”

Chesa Boudin attended Yale, won a prestigious Rhodes scholarship, shilled for Hugo Chavez, wrote books and keeps a busy speaking schedule. He still stands by the Weathermen’s revolutionary agenda: “My parents were all dedicated to fighting U.S. imperialism around the world. I’m dedicated to the same thing.”

Cinematically and metaphorically, Redford manufactures the same stance that unrepentant Weather Underground criminals and apologists still hold of themselves today: Not guilty.

The threats have begun! Earlier today I followed a link from Michelle Malkin’s site and found a wealth of nastiness on this Facebook Page: Everybody Draw Mohammed Day. The admin of that page has received threats and harrassing phone calls, and has refused to take it down or delete threads.

For your entertainment, here are some of the charming responses to the concept of Freedom of Speech, after the break. And with reverence for the First Amendment, this is an Overnight Open Thread.

Charles Johnson, Liar Extraordinaire…

Last night, at his pathetic cesspool for dimwitted losers who dwell in Mommy’s basement, Charles Johnson (AKA Nancy, AKA Chuckles, AKA Queeg, AKA Fat ass pony-tailed douchebag), owner of a once great blog called Little Green Footballs (Until he banned all the people that actually made it great), proved yet again that he’s not only a first class, stark-raving mad, brain-dead liberal moonbat, but also a liar of the highest caliber.

He claimed that Michelle Malkin wrote an editorial in 1994 that said, well, I’ll let you read how he put it…

Michelle Malkin’s 1994 Big Tobacco Recruitment Drive
It’s 1994, and who do we find shilling for the tobacco industry’s last ditch efforts to cast doubt on the scientific evidence that tobacco smoke is killing people?

Nancy provided a link to a story that was just about damn near impossible to read. I guess he figured no one would actually read what Malkin wrote, since it would prove (yet again) that he’s a pathetic liar.

Well, guess what Chuckles? I read it.

I simply followed the link YOU provided, and I used a little-known feature from Microsoft that works on all windows PC’s.

If you hold down the “crtl” key, and tap the “+” key on the keypad, the text (or whatever else you’re looking at- pics, etc.) gets larger until it’s large enough to actually read. Then I could read what Malkin actually wrote.

Charles, you’re a damned liar. Those of us here have known it for years.

And your “link” is to a pathetic website about the non-existent global warming threat and scare-mongering you lib losers have been perpetuating on other ignorant liberals (redundant, I know) for years.

You’re nothing but birds of a feather who scare other stupid liberals together. Get a life, loser.

This “TASSC” you’re so afraid of that you wet your panties is run by Steve Milloy, who also runs the website junkscience.com, which dispels and debunks all the BS claims such as AGW, over-population, and the catastrophic demise of the ozone layer you lib losers make.

Here’s what Malkin actually wrote, and you will not see one word defending, “shilling” or even mentioning, the tobacco industry. All she writes about is radical environmentalism.

Slogans no substitute for sound science

Bv Michelle Malkin Los Angeles

Shaping of the nation’s environmental conscience doesn’t happen overnight. Only after years of shaky science, reckless reporting and inane sloganeering have we arrived at the current state of fear and paranoia about the Earth’s chances for survival. So, unfortunately, It may take twice as many years of sound science, informed reporting and responsible education to undo the damage. The Advancement of Sound Science Coalition, a new grass-roots organization. may be just the place to start.

It was formed In November to monitor the government’s abuse of science and manipulation of public policy. This is especially welcome at a time when the Clinton administration is fixing to raise the Environmental Protection Agency – a prime source of such abuse – to cabinet-level status. Among TASSC’s goals: To Inform the general public about the consequences of inappropriate science by focusing attention of current examples of unsound government research used to guide policy decisions; to establish an educational outreach program; and to offer resources to ensure that sound sclentific principles are applied. Former New Mexico Gov. Garrey Carruthers, TASSC’s chairman, says: “This group Is long overdue. We believe that science used to guide public policy decisions should be based on sound principles – not on emotions and beliefs considered by some as politically correct”

He’s absolutely right.

[…]

The Alar myth, concocted by unnamed scientists and CBS’s “60 Minutes”, needlessly alarmed the country’s schoolchildren and devastated the apple Industry. And the coalition should emphasize the outrageous cost to taxpayers of environmental regulations ($115 billion alone In 1991) that are based on dubious claims of supposed health threats. Even the EPA acknowledges the dismal state of much of its own scientific research. In a March 1992 report, the agency conceded that it “has not always ensured that contrasting, reputable scientific views are well-explored and well documented from the beginning to the end of the regulatory process”.

So before purchasing some environmentally correct product from the Body Shop, why not pick up a copy of Dixy Lee Ray’s “Trashing the Planet”? Or how about signing up for a free membership to TASSC? Taking these long-overdue steps to allay fears with facts may be one of the best gifts money can buy this holiday season.

Charles, you’re such a loser…But don’t worry. You’ll always have your dimwitted psycho-phants to tell you how great you are, while everyone else laughs at you.

The Ugly Truth About Jack Murtha

by Mojambo ( 94 Comments › )
Filed under Politics, Progressives at February 13th, 2010 - 3:30 pm

Well now that he is pushing up the daisies we can all say what we all really feel.  Murtha was corrupt, slanderous, arrogant and a liar -and those were probably his better qualities. He called his own constituents bigots – and they still voted him back in proving that every whore has her price.

by Michelle Malkin

We are not supposed to speak ill of the dead. But those whom the deceased viciously smeared and humiliated deserve to be defended. Entrenched Rep. John Murtha passed away on Feb. 8 after a botched gallbladder surgery. He has been hailed as a “military advocate” (Associated Press) and “one of the greatest patriots ever to serve in Congress” (former Rep. Harold Ford Jr.).

These obsequious obituaries leave out inconvenient truths: John “Jack” Murtha was an unrepentant smear merchant and corruptocrat to the bitter end.

In May 2006, during an MSNBC appearance that Marines and their families will never forget or forgive, Murtha accused US troops of wantonly killing some two dozen civilians, including children, in the terrorist stronghold of Haditha, Iraq. Bellowed Murtha: “Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood.”

He publicly indicted the Marines before military investigations had been completed. His remarks opened military-bashing floodgates around the world.

In the wake of Murtha’s reckless blabbing, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann accused the Haditha Marines of “willful targeted brutality.” The Nation magazine claimed that “members of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment perpetrated a massacre.” The New York Times dubbed Haditha the “defining atrocity” of the Iraq war. International papers piled on with Vietnam-era “My Lai” allusions. Murtha cold-bloodedly sat back and enjoyed the ride while the Marines were left twisting in the wind.

By 2008, seven of the Marines charged in the incident had been exonerated or had charges against them dropped. One still awaits a long, dragged-out trial this year.

Murtha, the so-called “military advocate,” went to his deathbed refusing to apologize or retract the attacks on the Haditha Marines (several of whom unsuccessfully sued him for libel to restore their honor). Decent people would call this intransigent treachery.

——————————

[…] In 1980, Murtha was an unindicted co-conspirator in a massive bribery probe — in which undercover FBI agents videotaped Murtha entertaining a $50,000 bribe from agents posing as emissaries for Arab sheiks trying to enter our country illegally. From transcripts of those conversations published by the late newspaper columnist Jack Anderson, Murtha’s true colors shined:

I want to deal with you guys awhile be fore I make any transactions at all, period. . . . After we’ve done some business, well, then I might change my mind. . . .”

I’m going to tell you this. If anybody can do it — I’m not B.S.-ing you fellows — I can get it done my way,” he boasted. “There’s no question about it.”

Murtha worried not about his integrity or how his constituents might be harmed, but about getting ratted out
