Senate Republicans vow no more Akins!

For the 2nd electoral cycle in a row, The Republicans blew opportunities in senate races. The turning point in in the 2012 race, was Todd Akins winning the nomination for Senate in Missouri. The Democrats made this possible by supporting Todd Akins with ads. He went on to defeat John Brunner and Sarah Steelman. The latter 2 were electability and would have easily defeated Sen. Claire McCaskill. The Democrats knew that Akins was not an electable. The gambit work as Akins made offensive comments about rape and went on to lose. Senate Republicans now vow that there will be no more Todd Akins in future elections.

Read their lips: no more Todd Akins.

In the wake of the GOP’s Election Day beatdown, influential Republican senators say enough’s enough: Party leaders need to put the kibosh on the kind of savage primaries that yielded candidates like Akin — and crippled Republican prospects of taking the Senate in two straight election cycles.

It’s time, they say, for Washington bosses to be more assertive about recruiting and then defending promising candidates. They argue that it’s critical to start enlisting local conservative activists as allies and to ease the tea party versus Washington dynamic that’s wreaked havoc on the party.

All easier said than done, of course. Tea party types have relished showing the chosen candidates of the Washington establishment a thing or two — and it’s hard to see them laying down arms overnight. But after a sure-bet election in 2012 turned into an electoral disaster, Republicans say resolving their primary problem is, well, their primary problem.

Now, top Republicans are considering splitting the difference between the heavy hand they wielded in 2010 that prompted sharp blowback from the right and their mostly hands-off approach of 2012. Both strategies produced a handful of unelectable candidates, so senators are gravitating toward a middle ground: engage in primaries so long as they can get some cover on the local level.

One thing I dispute from this article is that Todd Akins was a Tea party candidate. He wasn’t since the Tea Party in Missouri supported Sarah Steelman. Akins was from the Santorum/Huckabee/Bush big government Progressive wing of the GOP. He would have lost a run off election. That is what is needed, mandatory run off elections if no candidate gets 50%. This will prevent a loon like Akins or an obvious false flag candidate like Sharon Angle from getting near a Senate candidacy.

Another item needed to make sure the Senatorial 2010 and 2012 debacles is message discipline. All new candidates should be given instructions on how to answer trap questions. Hopefully the GOP learned its lesson for 2014 and there will be no more Akins/Angle ssituation.

Breaking: Rep Akins preparing to withdraw from Missouri Senate race; Update: Akins claims he’s staying in the race

The republican party in Missouri has been pressuring Rep. Todd Akins to withdraw after his really ignorant and offensive statement on rape. Reports are now circulating that Akins is bowing to pressure and planning to withdraw.

The GOP doesn’t want a repeat of the Sharon Angle fiasco where a lunatic helped by the Democrats won the nomination and lost in the general. If this report is true, good riddance to this low life scumbag.

Update: Todd Akin denies reports that he is preparing to withdraw from the Missouri Senate race.

Rep. Todd Akin (R) of Missouri apologized for his recent comments on rape but said he was staying in the race for US Senate, saying “I have not yet begun to fight.”

[….]

But Akin said he would not heed the call of several prominent Republicans to drop out of the race to replace Sen. Claire McCaskill, widely believed to be the most vulnerable Democratic Senate incumbent this year. The Real Clear Politics average of recent polls shows Akin with a 48 percent to 43 percent lead over Senator McCaskill.

“I don’t know that I’m the only person in public office who has suffered from foot in mouth disease here,” Akin said. “My belief is we’re going to take this thing forward and, by the grace of God, win this race.”

There goes Missouri and Harry Reid is smiling.

Americans in Missouri and New York are rejecting their Progressive elites

In a massive blow to the egos of the Tranzi Totalitarian Progressives who have a stranglehold on America, voters in Missouri voted against the eugenics based Obamacare. The vote was 71%-29% rejecting the Progressive takeover of Health Care. Americans don’t believe that a small Neo-Feudal elite have a right to determine who lives or dies.

They told us that Americans would learn to stop worrying and love ObamaCare. To judge by yesterday’s election in Missouri, they were wrong.

Official election returnsshow that citizens of the Show Me State voted overwhelmingly–71% to 29% in favor of Proposition C, a ballot measure described in a pre-election report from Time magazine:

The specific issue boils down to this: Can the government require that citizens buy health insurance? Mandatory insurance is a key element of the health care reforms passed by congressional Democrats and signed by Obama this year. Adding healthy people to the insurance pool spreads the cost of policies for people with health problems. Missouri’s referendum rejects that mandate by asking voters whether state laws should be amended to forbid penalties for failing to have health insurance.

The Progressive elites will ignore this vote anyway. They believe they are superior to the average American and know what’s best for us. Their egos are inflated since they will now get to control who lives and dies. The American people are tired of the elites and this vote should be taken as a warning. We have had enough and will resist Progressive Totalitarianism.

In related news, the majority of New Yorkers oppose the 9/11 Ground Zero Islamic Colonial center.

By a margin of 61 to 26 percent, New Yorkers oppose the proposal to build the Cordoba House, a multi-story Muslim Cultural Center in lower Manhattan two blocks from the site of the World Trade Center according to a new survey released today from the Siena College Research Institute (SRI).
……..

“Large majorities of all New Yorkers, every party, region and age give a thumbs-down to the Cordoba House
Mosque being built near the Ground Zero site,” according to Dr. Don Levy, SRI’s Director. “But only just
over half of all New Yorkers, even city residents say they have been following the news about the proposed
mosque closely.”

Clearly, even Progressive New York has had enough with Islamic Colonialism. Since 9/11/2002, New York City has been subjugated to an intense colonization not seen since the 1700’s. The Islamic Imperialist all but now control NYC, with the assistance of Dhimmi collaborator, Mike Bloomberg. Tired of being ruled by the Islamic occupiers, the people of NY are now resisting.

Americans all over are tired of the weakness displayed by our Progressive elites (both parties). The time of America tolerating this weakness is coming to an end. The elites are playing with fire and soon they will be burnt by the rage of Americans.
