Mitt Romney looks right

America was the loser in November 2012.

by Howie Carr

“I told you so.”

Those have to be four of the most satisfying words in the English language. And Mitt Romney has earned the right to speak that short sentence, over and over again, whenever he chooses.

Not that he would — it would be “unbecoming,” to use one of Romney’s old-fashioned words that in 2002 had the mandarins of Political Correctness harrumphing about his “sexism,” I believe the charge was that time.

But these days, Mitt looks more and more prescient, and his critics ever more deluded. First of all, Russia has become “our number one geopolitical foe,” as he put it in the 2012 campaign. Back then, Barack Obama derided him, saying “The 1980s are calling to ask for their foreign policy back.”

Now, not so much.

As a Republican, Romney understands the double standard in the lapdog media. When Mitt says “tar baby,” he’s a racist. When John Kerry says “tar baby,” nothing to see here folks, move along.

Barack Obama admits eating dogs — crickets in the press. Mitt puts one on the roof of his car in a crate — David Letterman demands his arrest.

Speaking of which, Mitt’s net worth is a reported $230 million, and Letterman’s is $400 million. Yet Letterman spent 2012 joking about how loaded Mitt was, once saying Romney was taking a weekend off “to hike to the top of his money.”

[……]

Since then, how many Democrat politicians have enlisted in that same war on women — Alan Grayson, Mel Reynolds, Bob Filner, “Carlos Danger,” Carlos Henriquez, Eliot Spitzer, Robert Menendez. …

Here’s another word that in 2007 got Mitt into hot water with the PC Police — “un-American.” That’s how he described the Democrat bigots who were attacking his Mormon faith. How dare he use such a McCarthyite word, the moonbats fumed.

Why, it’s a code word, a “dog whistle,” a throwback to the bad old days of the House Un-American Activities Committee (chaired by a Democrat named Martin Dies, but again, nothing to see here folks, move along.)

[……]

Last week, though, the Democrats were tossing around the word “un-American” with such abandon that you would have thought they were, well, speaking truth to power.

Congressman Elijah Cummings blurted it out at a House hearing, and it’s how Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid described the Koch brothers — “un-American.”

You see, when George Soros or the pinky-ring unions funnel millions to the Democrats, they’re exercising their First Amendment rights, their freedom of speech.

When the Koch brothers do the same thing, they’re un-American. Not only that, Reid said, but they’re also trying to “subvert” democracy.

Hey, Harry, the 1950s are calling to ask for their code words back.

Harry Reid, by the way, is a Mormon. Did you ever hear any late-night comedians joking about his “magic underwear,” or how many wives he has?

Anyway, this week, when some foolhardy D.C. pundits risked their status as Beautiful People by criticizing the sacrosanct Reid, he shot back by quoting Adlai Stevenson:

“If the Republicans will stop telling lies about me, I’ll stop telling the truth about them.”

Brave words from a hack who less than two years ago was falsely accusing Romney of income-tax evasion.

“Let him prove that he has paid taxes,” Reid said on the Senate floor, “because he hasn’t!”

In other words, guilty until proven innocent. Isn’t that … un-American?

The famous senator Henry Clay once said, “I’d rather be right than president.”

Who knows if he meant it? Mitt should probably start thinking about borrowing Clay’s old line, although I’m not sure he believes it either.

Believe this: Romney up nationally by 7.8, 51.8% to 44%, statistically tied in OH, PA, and MI, will win electoral college

ELECTORAL COLLEGE MAP

In every mainstream media poll, even those that are so laughingly rigged by oversampling dumocrats to attempt to give the American people the illusion that Obama is winning, the Marxist still cannot poll above 50%, and most importantly, this includes the swing states of Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, and New Hampshire, and also in the states of West Virginia, Wisconsin, Colorado, Michigan, and New Mexico.

And if Obama can’t get above 50%, he loses those states, because as I’ve written here numerous times, 70-80% of the undecided voters will vote for Romney, since they always vote for the “new” guy. And this will be especially true this year, because the “old” guy has been a colossal failure.

This website takes all the major polls and “unskews” them. In other words, they adjust the number of Republicans and dumocrats polled to close to even to get a more accurate poll that is not weighted to the dumocrats’ favor to get the poll results the lib media wants, which is to show Obama with a lead.

They also use likely turnout based on previous elections, but not 2008, because that year was an anomaly due to the large numbers of young voters, black voters, and Hispanic voters who voted for the first time and voted in much higher numbers than they ever had before because they believed Obama’s rhetoric bullshit.

Four years later, many of them are disillusioned now that they’ve seen that Obama has been a terrible president and basically lied to them from day one, so their voting numbers will return to normal, or even may very well be below the average of previous presidential elections.

So Obama has a finite number of morons who will vote for him, but they are not above 50%, and closer to around 47-48%. This number will not change very much unless there is some unlikely gaffe from Romney.

Now, about these three debates. You need to remember that Romney had a total of 20 debates against his GOP rivals over the last few months, and won the majority of those debates by being ruthless.

And if Romney holds his own against the Marxist, and is ruthless, as I believe he will be, he’ll solidify his already large advantage among those who say they’re undecided.

Ask yourself the following: Who has Obama debated recently, where it’s give and take answering the questions and rebutting the answers, without having TelePrompTers to feed him what he should say?

You also need to take into consideration the number of dumocrats who say they’re likely to vote for Obama, but do not actually show up to vote and the number of Republicans who are enthused about voting to get rid of Obama.

This is the enthusiasm gap, and Romney and the Republicans are up by about 15% over the dumocrats.

More MANLY Than The Empty Chair™

Look! Up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane?
Actually…YES! And the only person who could pull this off is none other than the President of Russia, who by his varied outdoor appearances makes himself known to all as more MANLY than The Empty Chair™!

(AP) VLADIVOSTOK, Russia — President Vladimir Putin has piloted a motorized hang glider to lead a flock of young Siberian white cranes in flight.
Dressed in a white costume meant to imitate an adult crane, Putin took part in a project to teach the endangered birds who were raised in captivity to follow the aircraft on their migration to Central Asia.

Perhaps Pooty could issue a Friendly Challenge to the GOP Candidate, since the world knows the Demo☭rat Candidate is not up to it?

Youth vote 2012- A Romney first: over 40% of young voters back him; Bail on Obama’s “hope and change” B.S.

Well, well, well. It seems that the young whippersnappers who were awestruck and starry-eyed whenever they saw their false messiah speak in 2008, to the point that some of them were (supposedly) fainting just from hearing or seeing the anointed one speak at campaign events, have become disillusioned with their phony man/God.

Who’da thunk it? Those of us here. That’s who.

Like all the other false messiahs the world has known, Obama turned out to be far more sizzle than substance, far more flush than flash, far more hype than hope, and definitely not the solution, but rather the problem, to solving our country’s problems.

The young people who helped propel Obama from a basically unknown back-bencher, do-nothing, junior senator from Illinois, a man who’s only real “job” in his whole life was being a community organizer in Chicago, to an almost cult-like messianic figure, were, for the most part, 18-22 year old college students who were mesmerized at the sight of their false messiah, and were mostly first-time voters.

Their inexperience and gullibility to the realities of life in the real world are understandable. No one ever learned how the real world works from living on a college campus. That’s why so many supposedly “intelligent” liberal professors are so ignorant.

But now that a lot of them have graduated from college and still cannot find a decent job that they studied for, they’re not happy.

Welcome to the real world, kiddies! Oh, and I’ll take a large order of fries with that Big Mac, graduate boy.

On a kind of unrelated topic, here’s some free advice: Get a degree in something that’s useful in the real world. So, for instance, do not get your degree in Latin. Since you majored in a language that isn’t spoken anymore, you’re going to limit your employment opportunities to one of two jobs:

Your first choice will be as a Sandwich Artist at your “Subway”, and your second, and most lucrative job, will be as a Barista at Starbucks, where you can impress other idiot liberals who pay eight bucks for a cup of joe that you can say Cappuccino and Espresso in an ancient language no one speaks or understands.

Take this as a lesson and learn from it. If you continue to believe the lies of liberals, you’ll have a lifetime full of disappointment and hopelessness. And you’ll be miserable and nasty. All liberals are, for some reason. But it doesn’t have to be that way! You have a choice!

So, to you yoots out there, if you wise up and decide you’ve had enough lies and disappointment from the left, and decide to come out of the darkness and into the light, over to the Republican side, you’ll see a world of opportunity. A place where anything is possible if you’re willing to work for it, regardless of your skin color or prior economic status.

The other side, the dumocrat’s “dark” side, will do all it can to convince you that you don’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell of succeeding without the help of an all-powerful federal government, run by liberals of course, to supposedly “even the playing field” so you at least have a minute chance of succeeding, but only if they can get those evil rich people to pay their “fair share”, even though the “rich” already pay the vast majority of the taxes.

As for the supposed adults who bought into Obama’s bullshit hook, line, and sinker; if they’re still supporting Obama, they’re both clueless and hopeless. And I won’t even get into what I think about the Obama-worshipping mainstream media swine that gets tingles up their legs when they hear the Marxist speak.

A Romney first: over 40% of youth vote back him

or the first time since he began running for president, Republican Mitt Romney has the support of over 40 percent of America’s youth vote, a troubling sign for President Obama who built his 2008 victory with the overwhelming support of younger, idealistic voters.

Pollster John Zogby of JZ Analytics told Secrets Tuesday that Romney received 41 percent in his weekend poll of 1,117 likely voters, for the first time crossing the 40 percent mark. What’s more, he said that Romney is the only Republican of those who competed in the primaries to score so high among 18-29 year olds.

“This is the first time I am seeing Romney’s numbers this high among 18-29 year olds,” said Zogby. “This could be trouble for Obama who needs every young voter he can get.”

Zogby helped Secrets dig deeper into his weekend poll, which we reported on earlier. The poll had Romney and Obama tied at 46 percent.

Zogby has been especially interested in the youth vote this election. In 2008, 66 percent chose Obama over Sen. John McCain, the highest percentage for a Democrat in three decades. But their desire for hope and change has turned to disillusionment and unemployment. Zogby calls them “CENGAs” for “college-educated, not going anywhere.”

In his latest poll, Obama receives just 49 percent of the youth vote when pitted against Romney, who received 41 percent. In another question, the independent candidacy of Gary Johnson is included, and here Obama wins 50 percent, Romney 38 percent and Johnson 5 percent.

But while taking Johnson out of the equation in the past has seen a surge in support for Obama, now the numbers for Romney–and undecideds–increase.

Zogby speculates that Romney’s selection of 42-year-old Rep. Paul Ryan helped turn more younger voters to him. “It could be his youthfulness,” said Zogby of Ryan. Plus, he said, more younger voters are becoming libertarian, distrustful of current elected officials and worried that they are going to get stuck with the nation’s looming fiscal bill.

“They want change,” said Zogby.
