Telling more lies again, Obungler? Five outright lies he told us about his energy policy

This commie clown occupying the White House is a serial liar. During his “energy speech” the other day, he told so many half-truths and outright lies, that the MSF’in’M naturally ignored, because they’re not the least bit interested in being journalists, but rather cheerleaders for this corrupt administration and Obungler’s re-election.

So, the capitalists at Investor’s Business Daily put together a list of Obungler’s five biggest lies he told regarding our energy policy since the POS became President. They called them “whoppers”, but whoppers come from Burger King, while lies come from Obungler’s mouth every time he moves his lips…

5 Biggest Whoppers In Obama’s Energy Speech

Energy: The White House billed President Obama’s energy policy speech as a response to mounting criticism of record high gas prices. What he delivered was a grab bag of excuses and outright falsehoods.

Obama’s main message to struggling motorists was: It’s not my fault, so stop whining. The speech only got worse from there, recycling excuses and myths that Obama’s peddled for years. But there were some standout whoppers that deserve debunking.

The five biggest:

“We’re focused on production.”

Fact: While production is up under Obama, this has nothing to do with his policies, but is the result of permits and private industry efforts that began long before Obama occupied the White House.

Obama has chosen almost always to limit production. He canceled leases on federal lands in Utah, suspended them in Montana, delayed them in Colorado and Utah, and canceled lease sales off the Virginia coast.

His administration also has been slow-walking permits in the Gulf of Mexico, approving far fewer while stretching out review times, according to the Greater New Orleans Gulf Permit Index. The Energy Dept. says Gulf oil output will be down 17% by the end of 2013, compared with the start of 2011. Swift Energy President Bruce Vincent is right to say Obama has “done nothing but restrict access and delay permitting.”

“The U.S. consumes more than a fifth of the world’s oil. But we only have 2% of the world’s oil reserves.”

Fact: Obama constantly refers to this statistic to buttress his claim that “we can’t drill our way to lower gas prices.” The argument goes that since the U.S. supply is limited, it won’t ever make a difference to world prices.

It’s bogus. New exploration and drilling technologies have uncovered vast amounts of recoverable oil.

In fact, the U.S. has a mind-boggling 1.4 trillion barrels of oil, enough to “fuel the present needs in the U.S. for around 250 years,” according to the Institute for Energy Research. The problem is the government has put most of this supply off limits.

“Because of the investments we’ve made, the use of clean, renewable energy in this country has nearly doubled.”

Fact: Production of renewable energy — biomass, wind, solar and the like — climbed just 12% between 2008 and 2011, according to the federal Energy Information Administration.

“We need to double-down on a clean energy industry that’s never been more promising.”

Fact: Renewable energy simply won’t play an important role in the country’s energy picture anytime soon, accounting for just 13% of U.S. energy production by 2035, according to the EIA.

“There are no short-term silver bullets when it comes to gas prices.”

Fact: Obama could drive down oil prices right now simply by announcing a more aggressive effort to boost domestic supplies. When President Bush lifted a moratorium in 2008, oil prices immediately fell $9 a barrel.

Obama said in his speech that Americans aren’t stupid (other than those who voted for the POS- BiB). He’s right about that, which is why most are giving his energy policy a thumbs down.

$5 a gallon gas will mean the economy is “recovering”, says the Idiot-in-chief occupying the White House

But, as idiotic as that statement was, that’s not why I posted it. Here’s why- An article in the New York Slimes saying the GOP will use the FACT that gas prices are up 91% since this imbecile occupied the White House, and will go higher during the summer. The Slimes reports that the GOP will use that as an issue for the November election.

But even that is not my point. I’m going to link to the New York Slimes article, and just ask that you read the comments posted by these delusional ignoramuses who read that bird cage liner that no self-respecting dead fish would want to be wrapped in. Here’s a few of the insane stupidity that these libturds posted just to wet your whistle:

First, there’s Tom McMahon from Taxachusetts, and he’s trusted, for some unknown reason. Well, he’s a libturd from Taxachusetts who blames the oil companies for high prices, so that must be why-

Artificially low price of gas is the American way, we subsidize the oil industry. Sort of a payoff for not gouging us all too bad, yet last year oil companies recorded another year of record profits.Even BP who should have been purposely bankrupted by the DeepWater Horizon spill between the spill, cleanup and fines which were not stiff enough managed to end up in the black. The simple denial & unwillingness of the United States to curb its use of oil as much as possible by refusing to accept higher priced alternitives which are less polluting.Big personal vehicles and 400 HP engines are no sign man is taking the use of oil seriously, and that it is indeed a finite resource despite all the advertizing by Big oil & Gas claiming vast reserves still exist left untapped. The truth is yes there is some and it is also dirtier oil and fracking for gas is not the way polluting our water along the way pumping millions of gallons of chemicals into the ground under pressure to free the gas in the shale. We should be investing in solar cell technologies further, they are still not super efficient yet they do work well when big enough with a battery backup storage connected into it to provide enough electricity even in the Northeast U.S. Wind power, no town should be able to deny the homeowner a right to erect a wind turbine. That’s called free energy after the initial investment with high quality turbines lasting decades. Alas though Americans still don’t get it, and are not for some time

I guess the space bar on this idiot libturds’ Apple computer only works half the time, kinda like his brain.

I fail to understand how Republicans or any other Americans can justify blaming higher gas prices on Pres. Obama! Does he run OPEC? Does he set gas prices in the Middle East? I don’t think so! So Republicans, find another target and quit blaming every price hike, rise in inflation, and anything else you can nitpick on the Prez! He’s got enough on his plate, and you guys/women in CONGRESS had better start doing YOUR jobs if you want to be re-elected in Fall 2012! It’s not just Obama running for re-election!! And some of you wise-guys who came in during 2010 mid-terms might just find yourselves going out in Nov. 2012!

Since when did Barbra Streisand move from Malibu to Pennsylvania? Guess she got sick of the nice weather year-round.

The GOP is desperate.

Yep Jim, we’re desperate. So desperate that we think that blaming the high price of gas on Obama, where it belongs, might just be a good thing.

But I’ll give the Slimes credit for allowing a comment that will be a home run if the GOP is smart enough to use it (but don’t count on it)-

President Obama’s misguided approach to energy play a major role in the rapidly rising price of gasoline. In the past three years, Obama’s administration:

–Put a moratorium on deep drilling in the Gulf of Mexico
–Significantly slowed down all new permits for offshore drilling
–Allowed new onshore drilling areas, but generally in areas that will not produce much petroleum. His environmental extremist Secretary of Energy made sure permits are not issued in the places most likely to produce the most product.
–Failed to embrace low cost natural gas for various uses, especially for commercial transport
–Spent billions of federal stimulus dollars to subsdize bankrupt and failing solar companies of his political contributors…money that could have been used to streamline and speed up approval of drilling and exploration applications
–and Blocked construction of the Keystone Pipeline that not only would have created more than 20,000 jobs, but also would have greatly expanded oil and gasoline from North America for use in the United States.

Taken as a whole, these policies add up to an incompetent, if not criminal energy policy that will leave millions of Americans suffering deeply as gasoline runs $4-5 a gallon this spring and summer.

Republicans need to make this a BIG BIG BIG explosive political issue!

Video: Allen West at CPAC Calls Dems‘ Appetite for ’Redistributionary Handouts‘ an ’Insidious Form of Slavery’

As usual, Col. West is spot-on about idiot libs and their hand-outs to poor people.

CPAC 2012: Allen West on Getting People off the Liberal Plantation

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) isn’t one for splitting hairs. The often-controversial freshman congressman has no problem sharing his open and honest assessment of the racial, social and political schema.

Wednesday evening was no exception, when he took to the House floor to deride Democrats for “handouts” that he dubbed a modern form of slavery. Additionally, West praised Republicans for standing up to big government and protecting individual liberty.

“Our party firmly believes in the safety net,” West said in a floor speech on Wed. evening. “We reject the idea of the safety net becoming a hammock.”

He went on, praising the GOP for best benefiting America’s poor.

“What Republicans have long understood is that poor communities are best served when they’re empowered to care for themselves,” he continued. “The more they come to rely on government checks, the less they learn to rely on their own ability and ingenuity.

But it was his comments about small government and “slavery” that caught peoples’ attention.

“For this reason, the Republican value of minimizing government dependence is particularly beneficial to the poorest among us,” he said. “Conversely, the Democratic appetite for ever-increasing redistributionary handouts is in fact the most insidious form of slavery remaining in the world today, and it does not promote economic freedom.”

In addition to discussing poverty and personal freedom, he recapped the GOP’s role as “the party of freedom,” as he noted President Abraham Lincoln’s signing of the Emancipation Proclamation and the subsequent amendments that ended slavery, helped protect African Americans and granted them the right to vote, as the Hill reports.

West concluded by calling the GOP the “party of equality” and “opportunity,“ while wishing everyone a ”Happy Black History month.”

This isn’t the first time West has used similar language. Back in August, he told Laura Ingraham, who was filling in for “O’Reilly Factor” host Bill O’Reilly, that he is the “modern-day Harriet Tubman“ and that he wants to lead fellow African Americans away from the the ”21st century plantation.”

At CPAC this year, West discussed conservatism and the black community and he again mentioned the modern-day “plantation.”

New CBO Report Decimates ‘Obamanomics’ lies: Real Unemployment Hits 15%

Yet more proof, as if we needed it, that we cannot believe anything that the liars in this corrupt administration say.

New CBO Report Decimates ‘Obamanomics’: Real Unemployment Hits 15%

“The rate of unemployment in the United States has exceeded 8 percent since February 2009, making the past three years the longest stretch of high unemployment in this country since the Great Depression.”

Moreover, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects that the unemployment rate will remain above 8 percent until 2014.

The official unemployment rate excludes those individuals who would like to work but have not searched for a job in the past four weeks as well as those who are working part-time but would prefer full-time work; if those people were counted among the unemployed, the unemployment rate in January 2012 would have been about 15 percent.

Compounding the problem of high unemployment, the share of unemployed people looking for work for more than six months—referred to as the long-term unemployed—topped 40 percent in December 2009 for the first time since 1948, when such data began to be collected; it has remained above that level ever since.”
