We Have Officially Become The Former Soviet Union, MSNBC Has Become Pravda T,V.

A few words before you watch today’s feature presentation. In the old Soviet Union, when ever someone would dare to protest or show discontent with the government, that person would be declared mentally ill and placed in government run mental institutions for an attitude readjustment. What you are about to see, is a clinical psychologist diagnosing about half of the country as legally insane. This is all done of course under the guise of objectivity by Tass News Agency MSNBC. For those of you keeping score at home, I do not recall Fox entertaining a single Clinical Psychologist on air to declare the entire left side of the aisle as mentally incompetent. But then again, what media bias? Grin and bear it comrades, November of 2012 is closer than we realize. It will only feel like 15 years.

I took the liberty on looking up Dr. Stanton Peele, on Google. As it happens, Peele is really a clinical psychologist, so Kudos to MSNBC for telling the truth about that. Peele however is not an expert in the field of economics, nor history. His beginning theory for diagnosing half of the country with addictive psychosis depends heavily on assumptions about both of these areas of thought. It is a shame, that since he decided to jump head first into the political arena, Peele never felt it necessary to even familiarize himself with the most rudimentary basics of either. Peele’s argument boils down to this, since there is no way we in this country could ever hope to achieve the goal of having a responsive accountable government which would once again be confined to live within its means and exist within the constitutional framework our founding fathers established, anyone advocating for such things must be delusional, psychotic, childish, and addicted to something or other. He also is careful to blame the Tea Parties for the tragic events in Norway. So, all the bases are indeed covered, if we are not actually terrorists now, we will be in the future, as we will assuredly become violent as the, “Black Hole,” (thanks to Speranza for the term,) grows even more monstrous in size and scope. Literally, I could spend days on this one, but alas, I must go back to work and earn enough to pay for the psychiatric bills of my fellow conservatives. Of course, what anyone who did actually study economics or history would be able to tell Dr. Peele, believing that this model of spending money one does not have, nor would ever be able to earn continually is delusional.

Two exit questions for Dr. Peele:

One, What does your view of professional ethics say about diagnosis of half of the country without any sort of actual examination? I visited your website, and noticed that you state nothing about any actual success your differing program or view of addiction you have had. You list several awards won, but no actual study about the results, cure rates etc. Sadly, like most liberal idiots, you tout your compassionate and caring credentials, while trite little things such as actual measurable success is something to be looked down upon.

Two, How do you square your personal views of achieving freedom from a tyrannical over reaching centralized government being impossible, to the fact that our nation was indeed founded on those very principles? I refuse to believe that half of our country is mentally ill for having a positive outlook on life. I couldn’t help but notice that you smiled not a single time during the interview. Tell us all how it feels to go through life so miserable a person.

Al Sharpton might get a show on MSNBC.

Can you imagine David Duke getting a show on TV? Vile racist Al Sharpton might get the 6:00 PM EST slot at MSNBC.

Cenk Uygur was thrust onto the MSNBC schedule in January, when Keith Olbermann‘s departure set in motion several host changes on the progressive channel’s lineup.

Now TVNewser hears Uygur may be moved out of the 6pm hour, possibly to be replaced by Al Sharpton. When the host changes happened earlier this year, the 6pm hour was simply known as “MSNBC Live,” a telling sign that MSNBC was trying out Uygur.

AL Sharpton should be shunned. Instead he gets rewarded! It seems some racists are more equal than others.

Keith Olbermann: EPIC FAIL

Why was Keith Olbermann shown the door at MSNBC?

It’s all about the Benjamins, and by that, I am not solely referring to Olbermann’s unauthorized campaign donations to skanky left-wing candidates.

Keith Olbermann ‘Suspended Indefinitely Without Pay’ (Updated)

November 5, 2010 – By Bryan Preston

MSNBC has a Special Comment for Keith Olbermann: You’re done. At least for now. Reason: He contributed to a trio of Dems who were on the ticket this year, while commenting on their races.

Keith Olbermann, MSNBC’s primetime firebrand host, has been suspended indefinitely for violating the ethics policies of his employer earlier this year when he donated to three Democrats seeking federal office, MSNBC announced Friday.

“I became aware of Keith’s political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay,” MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement.

First reported by Politico and confirmed by Federal Election Commission filings, the primetime television host gave $2,400 – the maximum individual amount allowed – to each of the campaigns of Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway, and Arizona Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords.

If this turns out to be a permanent suspension (a firing, in other words), I suspect, though, that the ethical breach was just the last straw. Ed at Hot Air has more on the ins and outs of NBC’s policy. The fact is, Olbermann’s numbers just haven’t been strong at all. He had been trending downward for most of the past two years. So had everyone else at MSNBC, but Olbermann was supposed to be the flagship guy, the MSNBC answer to O’Reilly and Fox. But most of the time he just came across as the little dog snipping and yipping at the big dog.

Olbermann is notoriously difficult to work with and for, and has a very obvious tendency to center the universe upon himself. That’s tolerable if you’re a winner, less so if you’re not. And in the ratings game, he just isn’t…

The pitfalls of self-worship

Olbermann, in other words, is a prima donna and a legend in his own mind, who not only irritates his co-workers and superiors at MSNBC, but also has lost whatever currency he once had with MSNBC’s audience.

As Preston points out in a link he provided in an update to his article, MSNBC is expected to be sold to Comcast by the end of 2010. Current MSNBC President Phil Griffin wants to keep his job. What better way to do that than by using whatever rationale is available to cut anybody who is no longer bringing home the bacon? One can only hope that the annoying, androgynous leftist harridan Rachel Maddow will also be soon to go.

GOP Senator Rips Into MSNBC Host For ‘Absurd,’ ‘Dishonest,’ Statements

As you all know, MSNBC is essentially Obama Campaign Headquarters. There is not a single unbiased MSNBC reporter there and even token conservative Joe Scarborough is not immune to Republican bashing. Contessa Brewer is particularly partisan in her interviews of the occasional conservative that MSNBC allows on the air. Here Senator Judd Gregg of New Hampshire fights back. Please note that liberals always like to frame questions to Republicans in the “When did you stop beating your wife”  tone.  Good for you Senator Gregg in calling her out on her absurdity.

by Kyle Drennen

On the soon-to-be canceled ‘It’s the Economy’ program on MSNBC on Thursday, co-host Contessa Brewer grilled Republican New Hampshire Senator Judd Gregg on his calls to reduce out-of-control government spending: “Which programs are you willing to cut? Are you willing to tell schools, no money for you?” Gregg shot back: “What an absurd statement to make. And what a dishonest statement to make.”

Gregg called out Brewer for her unfair framing of the issue: “…nobody’s saying no money for schools….On it’s face you’re being fundamentally dishonest when you make that type of statement.” He went to explain the kinds of budget cuts he would make: “I would freeze discretionary spending, a real freeze, not a – not a freeze plus inflation. I would eliminate the T.A.R.P. money….I would end the stimulus spending effective in June of this year, if not sooner….reform our entitlement programs….I’ve made very specific proposals and I’m willing to stand by them.”

Gregg was far from finished, he described the big government mentality shared by the Obama administration and the liberal media: “The problem is that this administration’s view of governance is that economic prosperity is created by growing the government dramatically. And then it gets misrepresented by people like yourself who say they’re going to – that if you do any of this stuff you’re going to end up not funding education.”

Brewer attempted to deny suggesting that Gregg wanted to cut funding for schools: “That’s not what I said.” Gregg continued undeterred: “I mean that statement alone is the most irresponsible statement I’ve heard from a reporter, probably in a month….And there are a lot of irresponsible statements made by reporters and that was the most irresponsible I’ve heard.”
