The Pantheon of Hipster icons

Since its rise in the late 90’s as a result of the Tech boom, the Hipster movement has reshaped the popular culture and the politics of this nation. Like all movement, they have a pantheon of heroes who in other times would have been considered losers or evil men.

General editor Geoffrey O'Brien says he has expanded upon the trend set by his predecessor, Justin Kaplan, of incorporating popular culture into an anthology once known for classical citations. Victor Davis Hanson warned about the Hipster movement and despite defeats in the culture and 2 Presidential losses, many on the Right do not take the Hipsters seriously. Underestimating this movement has enabled it to spread its tentacles into many facets of American society.

People who laugh at Hipsters, do so at this nation’s peril.

Update: How could I have forgotten to add a picture of one of the most beloved martyrs in the Hipster pantheon, St. Pancakes!

Update II: How could have I forgotten the ultimate Hipster icon for the ages, the original cool and hip Latin revolutionary, Che Guevara!

Russell Brand Uses Robin Williams tribute to smear Fox News

Lidane is outrage over some stupid comment about Robin Williams’s depression being cause by an abortion that an ex girl friend had back in the 70’s.

Lidane outrage

As usual, the LGFers are in outrage mode. While they are angry over a stupid comment, they are hypocritically silent at Russell Brand using the death of Robin Williams to attack Fox News.

What platitudes then can we fling along with the listless, insufficient wreaths at the stillness that was once so animated and wired, the silence where the laughter was? That fame and accolades are no defence against mental illness and addiction? That we live in a world that has become so negligent of human values that our brightest lights are extinguishing themselves? That we must be more vigilant, more aware, more grateful, more mindful? That we can’t tarnish this tiny slice of awareness that we share on this sphere amidst the infinite blackness with conflict and hate?

That we must reach inward and outward to the light that is inside all of us? That all around us people are suffering behind masks less interesting than the one Robin Williams wore? Do you have time to tune in to Fox News, to cement your angry views to calcify the certain misery?

Russell Brand using the tragic suicide of Robin Williams to take cheap shots at Fox gets a pass by the always outraged losers at LGF. Then again, Brand is trash just like Lidane and the other losers at LGF.

Hipster Russell Brand goes after Sean Hannity

People who are jerks tend to go after others who are jerks. Hipster comedian Russell Brand targets the human parrot Sean Hannity over the war in Gaza. Brand who is on record supporting ISIS, now supports Hamas in Gaza. Besides going after Hannity, he trashes Israel.

In my opinion Sean Hannity is a stupid propagandist devoid of any original thought. He regurgitates the daily talking points and contributes nothing to the political discourse. Russel Brand is an evil smug Hipster who openly supports Islamic groups like Hamas and ISIS. I don’t like either one, but in this case I support Hannity because although he is a dumb as rock, at least he is not supportive of Islamists.

You best bet, Russel Brand has a T-Shirt or poster of the Abu Waheeb.

Abu Waheeb

The ISIS fighter has become the new Che Guevara for the Hipster set. These are the type of people Hipsters like Russel Brand support. Too many on the Right still underestimate the power and evil nature of the Hipster movement.

Hipster Russell Brand calls Fox News terrorists and defends ISIS

The Islamic State of Iraq and ash-Sham has become a revolutionary symbol to many in the Hipster movement. This Islamic Imperialist organization is viewed by some Hipsters as a revolutionary organization fighting against “Global Capitalist Oppression.” A manifestation of the mainstreaming of ISIS with the Avant-garde crowd is Hipster comedian Russell Brand.

The British comedian who is popular with the Hipster set defends ISIS and blames their rise on the US. Russell Brand then calls Fox News a terrorist organization. He launches a very vile attack on Justice Jeanine Pirro with sexual taunts.

Do not laugh at Russell Brand’s defense of ISIS and anti-Fox rant. He is a player in the popular culture and his opinion helps form the opinions of many especially in the Hipster set. Brand is a dangerous man who is participating in the softening of the image of ISIS.

Here is Russel Brand’s tour poster.

Brand

Brand views himself as a leader of some cultural movement. I would not be shock to see Brand in a few months wear ISIS t-shirts to promote them as a cool and hip organization. Russell Brand is the face of evil and not someone to take likely.
