Connecting The Dots: Google, Obama, Egypt, and the Muslim Brotherhood

I have already blogged about some of the ties between the Obama administration and the anti-Mubarak uprising in Egypt (see Obama Supports Islamist Takeover Of Egypt). The Muslim Brotherhood is waiting to take over the government in Egypt as soon as the opportunity presents itself. (See Egypt: “Populist Revolt” or Muslim Brotherhood?.)

The Jawa Report has figured out that Google has a connection with Obama, the anti-Mubarak uprising in Egypt, and the Muslim Brotherhood.

That is no surprise. I have discussed issues with Google Blogger here and here. Suffice it to say that Google Blogger has repeatedly deleted or restricted access to legitimate counterjihad blogs. In addition, despite the notable successes of the SMACKDOWN Corps, Google’s YouTube continues to be a favorite spot for hosting jihadi videos.

Connecting the dots: Googles former Google CEO Eric Schmidt Obi Ones Tech Czar

In 2008 Schmidt stated he would not serve as technology czar in Barack Obama’s administration if he was asked.

In 2009 Obi One names him as one of the tech czars

In Jan 2010 Schmidt resigns as CEO of Google. He will still continue “as the executive chairman of the company and act as an advisor to co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin”

In 2010 State Dept lifts ban & issues visa to Tariq Ramadan Tariq Ramadan’s grandfather founded the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt

In Jan 2010 Googles ME exec Wael Ghonim went missing in Egypt. He was detained by Egypt gov and was released today

More than a week after his mysterious disappearance in Egypt, Google executive and political activist Wael Ghonim has been released from government detention on Monday, the State Department told the Wall Street Journal[…]

It remains unclear what role, if any, Ghonim played in organizing the Jan. 25 protest movement itself, the largest Egypt has seen in more than 30 years. However, he played a prominent role in online activism in the months ahead of the historic protests.

Last year, Ghonim was one of four administrators running the first of the major Facebook pages that became a virtual headquarters for the protest movement, according to a collaborator in the political opposition, and also according to an Internet activist familiar with the situation. Mr. Ghonim also set up the official campaign website for opposition leader Mohamed ElBaradei and volunteered as a tech consultant for other opposition groups, according to Ziad Al-Alimi, a senior aide to Mr. ElBaradei.

Mohamed ElBaradei has Muslim Brotherhoods support.

Obama stated in his interview with O’Reilly ‘some factions strains of the MB ideology are against the US:

“The Muslim Brotherhood is one faction in Egypt. They don’t have majority support in Egypt, but they are well organized and there are “strains of their ideology that are against the U.S., there’s no doubt about it,”

MB is against the US, democracy and all things Western. They want the Islamic Caliphate to rule the world and make no bones about it on their website.

“Allah is our objective; the Quran is our constitution, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.”

Read it all.

Tariq Ramadan’s American tour

 Ramadan

Tariq Ramadan, the famous silver-tongued Islamist (click on the first link), was granted a Visa exemption by Hillary Clinton, and so he will be off on his American tour. He was previously banned from the USA for donating money to Hamas. This is a man who stands for wife beating, is the grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna, and justifies jihad on Israel…but is considered a “moderate Salafi Islamist.” (whatever that means)

So first off will be a speaking engagement, co-sponsored by the ACLU (of course), at Cooper Union, the school which previously had that “famous luminary,” Hugo Chavez, come and speak. I guess Tariq Ramadan is in good company!

Here are more details:

Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
The Great Hall, Cooper Union
7 East 7th Street at Third Avenue, NYC
$15/$10 for PEN/ACLU members and students with a valid ID.

Tickets available through www.smarttix.com/show.aspx?showcode=SEC20, (212) 868-4444, or at the door.

For press inquiries, please contact Isabelle Deconinck at isadeco@earthlink.net or (212) 727-7662 or Rachel Myers at media@aclu.org or (212) 549-2666.

————————-

If you go, Islamist Watch, ACT-Manhattan, and Campus Watch people will likely be there. And make sure to click on the Campus Watch article about this event!

Next up, Tariq Ramadan will be speaking at the annual banquet of the unindicted co-conspirator, CAIR-Chicago, on April 10th.

And after that, on April 11, Tariq Ramadan will be speaking in the Detroit area, and address Muslim fest.

The coup de grace, so to speak, is that Tariq Ramadan will be speaking at the Ronald Reagan Building Ampitheater in D.C., apparently co-organized by our friends, the “United States Institute of Peace,” on April 28th. Go see the “wonderful” line up of Islamists and apologists set to speak at the Ronald Reagan theater, at a full-day event, titled: “U.S. Relations with Muslim World: One Year After Cairo.”

This is the symbol for the event: the U.S. flag shaped as a crescent, with a minaret covering Europe.

Crescent flag

Please note that John Kerry, fresh off his “engagement” with Assad, was invited to be a speaker at this event, which features Tariq Ramadan (Islamist), and the U.S. flag as a crescent. And also please note that the U.S. Institute of “Peace” is a “bipartisan” Congressional organization that was behind the Iraq Study Group (i.e., sell Israel down the river report), and published John Limbert’s (who is on the board of an Iranian lobby group, the National Iranian American Council) articles.

It is clear now, that with his Visa waiver, Ramadan is going on a cross-country tour.

A source told me that John Esposito, in his talk at Northwestern University in Chicago, mentioned that Tariq Ramadan will stay for a long time in the USA.

That’s right, this Islamist gets the red carpet treatment, and forums to air his Islamist propaganda, courtesy of Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration. The ACLU (which I thought stood for civil liberties), is co-sponsoring this talk at one of our elite institutions. That’s right – more evidence of the Leftist/Islamist convergence, yet again. The U.S. Institute of “Peace” is co-sponsoring an event at the Ronald Reagan Theater. I am surprised J-Street did not co-sponsor this event!

It is enough to make one cry. But these are the times we live in. Blogmocracy netizens might be interested in attending any of the upcoming Ramadan talks, to either document what is being said, or to protest.

Blogmocracy Dictionary Part 2: “Dialogue”

by Delectable ( 133 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, CAIR, Leftist-Islamic Alliance, Progressives, Tranzis at November 25th, 2009 - 10:35 am

At an interfaith gathering in Nashville Tennassee, a Rabbi Falcon received a hug from the local Islamic Center.

Hug!

As mentioned before, a project I am undertaking with Blogmocracy is a dictionary. The goal of the dictionary is to show how words have been abused and desecrated, and then to reintroduce the words back into the English language.

This is a word that progressives love to bandy around: “dialogue.” And the New York Times is no exception. Check out this news story (hat tip – Debbie Schlussel):

They call themselves the “interfaith amigos.” And while they do sometimes seem more like a stand-up comedy team than a trio of clergymen, they know they have a serious burden in making a case for interfaith understanding in a country reeling after a Muslim Army officer at Fort Hood, Tex., was charged with opening fire on his fellow soldiers, killing 13.

“It arouses once again fear, distrust and doubt,” Sheik Rahman said, “and I know that when that happens, even the best of people cannot think clearly.” . . .

They began to meet weekly for spiritual direction, combining mutual support with theological reflection. Their families became acquainted over meals. They started an AM radio show, and they traveled together to Israel and the occupied territories. Recently, they wrote a book, “Getting to the Heart of Interfaith.”

At one point, the rabbi read a line the sheik had written about the security wall in Israel and announced, “If that line is in the book, I’m not in the book.” After vigorous discussion, Sheik Rahman rewrote the line in a way that both men felt was respectful of their principles.

But what exactly does it mean to “all get along”? Is it, as this article implies, simply a heavy dose of kumbaya?

CAIR has an office of “interfaith dialogue.” The Saudi king launched an “interfaith dialogue” in Madrid (Israelis were banned and Neturei Karta were allowed, of course). Mahmoud Ahmadinejad launched an “interfaith dialogue” with Mennanites and Quakers.

On the other hand, Seeds of Peace has its own “dialogue” between Israelis and ‘Palestinians.’ Of course, its most famous graduates are Adam Shapiro and Huwaida Aarraf…who went on to form the Hamas-linked International Solidarity Movement.

The Pope launched his own “dialogue” as well, welcoming in numerous Islamic leaders.

And lastly and most importantly, we have our “dialogian in chief,” Barack Obama. He called for “dialogue” in his Cairo “speech to the Islamic world,” and is launching a fruitless “dialogue” with Iran.

Through it all, it appears this “dialogue” is one way. The actual definition of dialogue is to have a give and take – an exchange of ideas. There thus should be some sign – even if a small one – that both sides are willing to listen to what the other has to say.

This is dangerous in two respects: (a) What if the “other side” is an Islamist, and “listening to what they have to say” means listening to, and paying heed to, Islamist propaganda?; (b) What if the “other side” does not listen to what YOU have to say? At what point does it make sense to stop speaking?

Lest we forget, Muslim Mafia outlines how CAIR and other Islamist groups are actually using “dialogue” as a tool for their propaganda. To what extent did “dialogue” and discussions help stop Nazi Germany? And if that did not help, why is it always “evident” that talking is always useful?

It is apparent, based on what I have shown, that “dialogue” to the progressives has been defined as a tool to sit around and say kumbaya, while conceding the store. There is little to no background checks on these “dialogians,” and one such “chief dialogian” is Tariq Ramadan, an outright Islamist.

I urge Blogmocracy netizens to use the proper definition of “dialogue,” which is an open and frank discussion, including a give and take of ideas. “Dialogue” does not necessarily lead anywhere, and should not be seen as some holy grail, and an achievement in and of itself.

I myself have personally sat in on a “dialogue” session between Jews and Muslims, and I was disheartened by what I saw: it was essentially a “blame the Jew” session.

This term “dialogue” is neither good nor bad, as “dialogue” is not always warranted. It is time that world leaders become realistic about what “dialogue” actually means, and start to implement it only when it is warranted.
