Good morning everyone, today’s topic isn’t very pleasant I am afraid. However, pleasantries and nice doesn’t a good scholar make. This was scheduled for earlier in the week, given it’s dense subject matter and importance within the history of Europe and its effect on the modern Balkans, I promoted it to the Saturday Lecture Series. Please be sure to familiarize (or re-familiarize) yourself with the following series on the Balkans:

The Balkan Problem, Part 1

The Balkan Problem, Part 2a

The Balkan Problem, Part 2b Who are the KLA?

The Balkan Problem, Part 3. Revisiting Srebrenica.

Events of WWII then set the stage for the Serbian actions in the 1990′s. The ethnic/religious splits listed above were exploited by Hitler when his armies invaded Yugoslavia. Hitler found willing allies in the Albanian, Kosovar, and Bosnian Muslims which were openly supported by the Palestinian Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini and Croatian Catholics led by the Pope in Rome and the Nazi Puppet leader of Croatia Ante Pavelic. The Palestinian Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini was a famous anti-Semite. He preached that the Muslims in Yugoslavia should join the 13th Handschar Waffen SS division and the Muslim Albanians should join the 21st Skanderbeg Waffen SS Division, these same divisions would be implicated and found guilty of war crimes such as murder, ethnic cleansing, rape, forced migration against the Orthodox Serbs.

The Catholic Church, through blessings and cooperation from Rome and the active participation of the clergy, especially the Franciscan order in Croatia, were directly responsible for total support of the creation of Ante Pavelic’s fanatical Catholic Ustashe. The end result is ethnic cleansing of Orthodox Serbs and the creation of the Jasenovac Concentration Camp in Croatia, staffed by Ustashe of both Catholic and Muslim religions were responsible for 750,000 Serbs, 60,000 Jews, and 25,000 Gypsies murdered. Yes murdered, not killed in war, murdered in a concentration camp so that the expanded Greater Croatian State could be for Catholics and Muslims only. More people were murdered in the Jasenovac Concentration Camp than died in actual war in Yugoslavia. Pope John-Paul II apologized for this atrocity in 1997.

Jasenovac is covered in Part 1 above, it is expanded on here as a stand-alone by 1389. I thank her for her effort on this part of the tragedy that is the History of the Balkans.

If you want to understand the Balkans, you need to know about this dark chapter in our history that has been very effectively covered up. Few people in the West are aware of the mass slaughter of Serbs, Jews, Roma, and others in Nazi Croatia and other Axis-occupied territories in the Balkans, even though an abundance of evidence exists.

No, this is NOT a general indictment of the Roman Catholic Church. It IS an indictment of the Third Reich.

Pope’s grave mistake

AS a Serbian-American who lost some 100 relatives during the genocide of Serbian Orthodox Christians in the “independent” state of Croatia during WWII, I write to protest the visit of Pope Benedict to the tomb of Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac.

I also must ask when the Vatican and the Croatian Catholic Church will acknowledge and apologise for their roles in the mass murder and ethnic cleansing of millions of Serbs, Jews, and gypsies. Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac, as leader of the Croatian Catholic Church, if nothing else, did not openly condemn this genocide, but silently condoned it. Pope Benedict should not have visited his grave as this will forever drive a wedge between Orthodox Christians and Catholics.

This appeared in the printed version of the Irish Examiner Wednesday, June 08, 2011.

1389AD says:

Not being Catholic, I do not ordinarily consider it my place to tell the Catholic Church what to do. But I draw the line at beatifying someone who was, for all intents and purposes, a Nazi war criminal. I ask the Catholic Church to repudiate any association with the Nazi sympathizers and outright Nazis among its hierarchy in Croatia and the Balkans.

Collaborating with Muslim Nazis

Res ipsa loquitur

Quoth Wikipedia:

In the common law of negligence, the doctrine of res ipsa loquitur (Latin for “the thing speaks for itself”) states that the elements of duty of care and breach can be sometimes inferred from the very nature of the accident, even without direct evidence of how any defendant behaved…

In layman’s terms, res ipsa loquitur means that someone had a duty of care toward other people and/or their property. The individual(s) in question failed in that duty, and the nature of the resulting fiasco makes that failure clear.

What does this have to do with the counterjihad? Following the Second World War, the governments of the western world had a duty to protect their own people and their allies against a resurgence of anti-Semitism, foreign aggression, or totalitarian expansionism. They had a duty to round up the worst of the Nazis and then to make certain that they could commit no more evil.

When it came to Nazis in the Balkans and in the Middle East: EPIC FAIL.

Instead of acknowledging how much Islam and Nazism have in common with each other as expansionist, enemy totalitarian systems that seek to rid the world of everything that they cannot control, the governments of the US and of western Europe have most often made common cause with the Muslims. That includes tolerating, or even working hand-in-glove, with individuals who were known to be ex-Nazis.

Why do Western governments keep collaborating with their Muslim enemies?

Some of this collaboration happens because too many US politicians are in the pockets of the lobbyists for Arab oil interests. (Of course, our “leaders” who have been bought by Muslim lobbyists cannot afford to notice that every attempt to help or appease any Muslim nation harms US interests, because Muslims inevitably take it as a sign of weakness.)

Some of it happens because the governments of the US and the EU are infested with liberals, who are guaranteed always to be wrong about everything.

And some of it happens because ambitious politicians of England, France, and later, the United States, foolishly believed that they could carve out a financially and geopolitically advantageous “sphere of influence” out of the Muslim world, without undertaking the immense effort of both de-Nazifying and de-Islamizing those territories.

EPIC FAIL, indeed.

The Muslim Hitler, Haj Amin al-Husseini, Was Promised Leadership of Israel [Palestine] After Annihilation of Jews

By Pam Geller

Muslim Nazi soldiers raising their posteriors in prayer

Islamic Jew hatred. It's what drives the genocide of the Jews in the Muslim world today. It's what drove the Muslim world in their partnership with Hitler, and it fueled the oppression, humiliation, and slaughter of the Jews throughtout Islamic history.

The role of the Mufti and the Muslim world in World War II has been whitewashed from history. Why? So that they might rise again to commit the same unspeakable, horrific crimes againt humanity?

Haj Amin al-Husseini should have been executed at Nuremberg. Instead, he was given the same status of The Jewish Agency at the UN in 1947, when it was debating the partition of the Jewish State, despite the stunning evidence (documents, files, etc.) against him (outlined here) and presented to the UN.

According to testimony by Nazi war criminals, the Mufti's influence was critical to the German decision to annihilate the Jews of Europe. At the Nuremberg Trials in July 1946, Eichmann's deputy Dieter Wisliceny (subsequently executed as a war criminal) testified: (here)

"The Mufti was one of the initiators of the systematic extermination of European Jewry and had been a collaborator and adviser of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of this plan… He was one of Eichmann's best friends and had constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures. I heard him say, accompanied by Eichmann, he had visited incognito the gas chambers of Auschwitz."

Now we find that the Nazis promised the leader of the Muslim world, Haj Amin al-Husseini, leadership of Palestine after slaughter of its Jews, according to a US report.

I have long been reporting on the deep ties between the leader of the Muslim world, Haj Amin al-Husseini, and Hitler and the Third Reich. Scroll here: Islam: Instigator, Originator, Collaborator of the Final Solution.

The "peace process" is a lie. The Muslim world cannot and will not accept Israel under any circumstances. The "peace process" is Jewish surrender to Isalm in installments.

Flashback: Then-leader of the Muslim world, Mufti Haj al-Husseini:

In 1943, the Mufti traveled to Bosnia, where he helped to raise a Bosnian Muslim Waffen-SS Hanjar, who slaughtered 90 percent of the Jews in Bosnia…Other Bosnian Muslim units raised by the Mufti were sent to Croatia and Hungary, where they participated in the killing of Jews.

Nazis promised grand mufti of J'lem Haj Amin al-Husseini leadership of Palestine after slaughter of its Jews, according to US report.

NEW YORK – A newly released report by the US National Archives details the close collaborative relationship between Nazi leaders and the grand mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, indicating that Nazi authorities planned to use Husseini as their leader after their conquest of Palestine.

Husseini was paid handsomely by the Nazis for his efforts, recruited Muslims for the SS and was promised that he would be made Palestine’s leader after its Jewish population of 350,000 had been murdered.

The report, Hitler’s Shadow: Nazi War Criminals, US Intelligence and the Cold War, was prepared on the basis of thousands of documents declassified under the 1998 Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act.“Hitler’s Shadow” is an addendum to a 2004 US government report, US Intelligence and the Nazis.

The new report’s authors, Norman J.W. Goda of the University of Florida and Richard Breitman of American University, said the addendum was particularly important.

“We thought the information was significant and detailed,” Breitman told The Jerusalem Post regarding the newly uncovered facts on the Jerusalem mufti in particular.

“We thought the April 1945 contract between the [German] Foreign Office and Husseini was striking evidence of an ideological collaboration both sides hoped would continue after the war.”

Husseini, who died in Beirut in 1974, was apparently paid 50,000 marks per month, and 80,000 additional marks a month for living expenses, according to a contract with the Germans. This was a time when a German field officer typically earned 25,000 marks a year.

According to the report, on November 28, 1941, Adolf Hitler told Husseini that the Afrika Korps would “liberate” Arabs in the Middle East and that “Germany’s only objective there would be the destruction of the Jews.”

“SS leaders and Husseini both claimed that Nazism and Islam had common values as well as common enemies – above all, the Jews,” the report states.

In fall 1943, it says, Husseini went to the Croatia, a German ally, to recruit Muslims for the Waffen-SS.

“During that trip he told the troops of the newly formed Bosnian-Muslim 13th Mountain Waffen-SS division that the entire Muslim world ought to follow their example,” the report states.

Husseini also organized a 1944 mission in which Palestine Arabs and Germans would carry out sabotage and propaganda after German planes dropped them into Palestine by parachute.“Husseini insisted that the Arabs take command after they landed and direct their fight against the Jews of Palestine, not the British authorities,” according to the report.

NYT: Obamanomics is Hitlernomics

by snork ( 49 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Democratic Party, Economy, Media, Politics at April 21st, 2010 - 9:30 pm

…and they say that’s a good thing.

This story is a year old, but I just stumbled across it. In March of 2009, the NYT ran a piece in the economy section, extolling the virtues of porkulus:

In the summer of 1933, just as they will do on Thursday, heads of government and their finance ministers met in London to talk about a global economic crisis. They accomplished little and went home to battle the crisis in their own ways.

More than any other country, Germany — Nazi Germany — then set out on a serious stimulus program. The government built up the military, expanded the autobahn, put up stadiums for the 1936 Berlin Olympics and built monuments to the Nazi Party across Munich and Berlin.

Yay Nazis! Economic geniuses of their time!

Dumb and outrageous as that may have been by itself, the author then jumps shark #2 with the next paragraph:

The economic benefits of this vast works program never flowed to most workers, because fascism doesn’t look kindly on collective bargaining. But Germany did escapethe Great Depression faster than other countries. Corporate profits boomed, and unemployment sank (and not because of slave labor, which didn’t become widespread until later). Harold James, an economic historian, says that the young liberal economists studying under John Maynard Keynes in the 1930s began to debate whether Hitler had solved unemployment.

Only through collective bargaining does the wealth created by the private sector trickle down to the workers? How many employees in the American private sector are unionized? Are the rest of them working for slave wages? Are you, Mr. journalist genius?

No sane person enjoys mixing nuance and Nazis, but this bit of economic history has a particular importance this week. In the run-up to the G-20 meeting, European leaders have resisted calls for more government spending. Last week, the European Union president, Mirek Topolanek, echoed a line from AC/DC — whom he had just heard in concert — and described the Obama administration’s stimulus plan as “a road to hell.”

The inevitable “big but”. The Euros are resisting the irrefutable logic of the Obamanians, and ignoring their own glorious history of the 1930s which proves the Obama approach superior to the outmoded fiscal restraint that the benighted Europeans seem stuck on.

Here in the United States, many people are understandably wondering whether the $800 billion stimulus program will make much of a difference. They want to know: Does stimulus work? Fortunately, this is one economic question that’s been answered pretty clearly in the last century.

Yes, stimulus works.

Thank you, Mr. Hitler. You have shone the path.

George Soros, the billionaire investor who was born in Budapest and works in New York, came to Washington last week and captured both the problem and the potential for a solution. “I think they can be brought around,” he said of the Europeans. “I am actually hopeful something constructive can happen.”

You learned well from your masters, didn’t you, George?

But then again, the NYT is just being true to form. They never met a totalitarian system they didn’t immediately fall in love with.
