Subject: Dr. Terry Jones – Freedom for Christians in America

Dear 1389,

We have discovered some alarming news this morning that should shake every Christian.

Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), in a column he wrote for the Huffington Post. Mr. Weinstein is an extreme left civil rights activist, author, and lawyer. He was appointed by President Barack Obama and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, endorses the ultra-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), and their hate list which is full of Evangelical Christian organizations, including our own.

Here is just one of the statements from his column, “Today, we face incredibly well-funded gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity upon their helpless subordinates in our nation’s armed forces.”

Weinstein says those guilty of this “treason” must be “punished.” Under federal law, the penalty for treason is death. And the Obama administration is sitting down to talk with this man to craft new policies for “religious tolerance” in our military.

Weinstein is a consultant to the Pentagon who is developing new policies on religious tolerance, including a policy for court-martialing military chaplains who share the Christian Gospel during spiritual counseling of American troops.

A Washington Post column endorses the Pentagon’s meeting with Weinstein while stating someone sharing the Christian gospel with another person is the same as someone being raped.

This is more of President Obama’s efforts to destroy Christianity in America as well as the First Amendment.

Christians must wake up from their apathy now.

It is a mistake to think “this cannot happen in America” or “Christians will never allow this”. We must not underestimate the power of the current Administration.

In December 2011, President Obama signed a bill legalizing sodomy and bestiality in the military.

May 2012, President Obama made his public statement supporting same-sex marriage.

Yesterday, only one year later, Rhode Island became the 10th state to legalize same-sex marriage.

His support for partial birth abortion, or the killing of babies born alive, his attack on the Second Amendment by pushing to ban certain guns and ammunition has made astronomical advances. This President has pushed his ungodly policies through at an unprecedented rate without rest.

If these policies of so-called religious tolerance are established in the U.S. military, rest assured they will certainly be introduced in state and federal legislation.

The apathetic condition of churches in America has produced an aggressiveness disrespect for our God and our nation which has overtaken our schools and government.

We are extremely concerned about Christianity in America. Under this Administration, how long will Christians be able to freely evangelize as God has called us to do? To have church services?

We cannot afford to pull back. We cannot be silent. We must unite, organize, and hit the streets.

Today, we will be publishing a statement concerning the urgent need for Christians to wake up and take a stand against President Obama’s consulting of Mikey Weinstein and the religious tolerance policies that the White House is developing.

We would like for you to consider publishing our statement which will address the necessity to stop these new policies, and stop President Obama’s attack on Christianity in America.

There is no doubt about it, President Obama is against God and ALL of those who stand for Him.

Thank you,
Stand Up America Now

From Dr. Terry Jones:

Again, another example of the radical element of Islam, another example of unbelievable violations of human rights, of freedom of speech. Even the actual thought that someone could possibly be executed, imprisoned, just simply because of what he believes is totally barbaric.

Pastor Yusuf Naderkhani

Pastor Yusuf Naderkhani and his family

This is another sign that we, as a nation, as individuals, that we must stand up, we must speak out against this type of injustice.

Let us join together. Please contact us here at Dove World Outreach Center, contact us here at Stand Up America Now, let us join together with many many different news agencies, Christian organizations, other First Amendment organizations, people that are concerned about human rights around the world.

Let us join together and let us stop this hideous action of Islam.
Thank you

FOX News: Iranian Pastor Faces Execution for Refusing to Recant Christian Faith

…Youcef Nadarkhani, 32, who maintains he has never been a Muslim as an adult, has Islamic ancestry and therefore must recant his faith in Jesus Christ, the 11th branch of Iran’s Gilan Provincial Court has ruled. Iran’s Supreme Court had ordered the trial court to determine whether Nadarkhani had been a Muslim prior to converting to Christianity.

“Pastor Nadarkhani has done nothing more than maintain his devout faith, which is a universal right for all people,” the statement released by the White House read. “That the Iranian authorities would try to force him to renounce that faith violates the religious values they claim to defend, crosses all bounds of decency, and breaches Iran’s own international obligations. A decision to impose the death penalty would further demonstrate the Iranian authorities’ utter disregard for religious freedom, and highlight Iran’s continuing violation of the universal rights of its citizens. We call upon the Iranian authorities to release Pastor Nadarkhani, and demonstrate a commitment to basic, universal human rights, including freedom of religion.”

Attorney Mohammad Ali Dadkhah told The Associated Press on Thursday that his client has appeared before the appeals court over the past four days and expects a ruling by the end of next week. Dadkhah said he believes there’s a “95 percent chance” of acquittal for Nadarkhani.

Dadkhah said neither Iranian law nor clerics have ever stipulated the death penalty as punishment for converting from Islam to Christianity.

The judges in the case, according to the American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ), demanded that Nadarkhani recant his Christian faith before submission of evidence. Though the judgment runs against current Iranian and international laws and is not codified in Iranian penal code, the judge stated that the court must uphold the decision of the 27th Branch of the Supreme Court in Qom.

When asked to repent, Nadarkhani stated: “Repent means to return. What should I return to? To the blasphemy that I had before my faith in Christ?”

“To the religion of your ancestors, Islam,” the judge replied, according to the American Center for Law & Justice.

“I cannot,” Nadarkhani said.

An unnamed source close to Nadarkhani’s attorney told the American Center for Law and Justice that a judge has agreed to overturn Nadarkhani’s death sentence, but the report could not be independently confirmed.

Even if the sentence is overturned, Jordan Sekulow, the executive director of the ACLJ, said the message is that it would be unlikely that Nadarkhani would be set free…
