Scott Walker Is What The GOP Needs For 2016

First, I am usually loathe to make an endorsement prior to a majority of the public discourse having been laid out for all to see, but these are unusual times my fellow inhabitants of the worker’s paradise formerly reserved for the free and brave. We need something unusual, and Scott walker is that. He is a Republican Governor of a decidedly blue state, and what’s even more important, he’s not a Rino who ran as a Republican simply to get himself past the crowded Democrat field. He’s as Conservative as they come, and has appeal for the Tea Party base and the Establishment types as well. He’ll be able to unify the party, and will do so without pandering to the populist positions of the past, as we’d seen from Bob Dole, John McCain, Mitt Romney, and of course Chris Christie.

We won’t get the Democrat Lite Pet Issue du jour, national minimum wage indexed to inflation, feel good gun control laws which would do nothing to change what ever horrific event found its way to the daily news cycle in order to scare us, no sitting on a couch with Nancy Pelosi for a common stance on how to combat make believe problems for no other purpose than to appeal to left of center voters, and there will be no pimping out of new entitlement programs or creation of new massive federal agencies or directorates. What would we get from a President Walker? If his performance in Wisconsin is any indication, less government spending, a balanced federal budget, the shrinking of our entitlement culture, someone willing to fight hard against the special interests of the Unions, tax cuts, less federal regulation, and most importantly, someone willing to fight against both the liberal narrative and framing of debate, and someone who will fight against capitulation within his own party. That last point is of major importance.

In the face of opposition, Scott Walker did not fold, he fought back, which is something that has been lacking from the right side of the aisle for quite a long time. He won the election for Governor of Wisconsin, despite the veritable fortune spent by the Unions to defeat him, as did a Republican Majority in their State Legislature and State Assembly. Shocking as it may seem, Walker and the bicameral Legislative Branch of Wisconsin actually went about the business of enacting the agenda upon which they’d campaigned. (A note for those paying attention, they campaigned on a platform of unapologetic conservatism, something which won in bluest of blue Wisconsin.) The Political Left went ballistic, and Wisconsinites were treated to their State Capitol becoming a circus. The Walker reforms were eventually enacted anyhow, and the Political Left, rife with massive amounts of union cash attempted to recall each of the newly elected GOP Legislature members. This of course failed to turn control of the Legislature, despite the Millions poured into it, and the State’s election of a Supreme Court Justice became the next battle ground for the right versus left proxy war. The same hysterical effort was employed, and again Wisconsin broke spending records for a Supreme Court election, in which the union backed candidate lost. Next, Scott Walker faced a recall election, and became the only Governor in U.S. history to defeat such an effort. He not only won, but actually polled a higher percentage of the vote than his initial election. Through it all, Walker himself never once flinched on his positions. He never compromised on his beliefs, and he never capitulated to the please those seeking to have him move to softer more centrist, (meaning tacking to the left,) positions politically. In the face of that, he cut his state’s spending, balanced a budget, refused to hop on the Medicaid expansion bandwagon, cut taxes, instituted deregulation, and maintained his bona fides as an unapologetic eloquent spokes person for free markets, limited governance, and self determination.

I realize that Walker has not announced his desire to run for this office, and currently is engaged in convincing the good people of Wisconsin that he deserves another four years as the top executive of that state. However, if he does run, he’ll have my vote. The left will always tell us who they are afraid of, not with their actual words, which are seldom truthful, but with their deeds. The money spent by the left to defeat Walker is astounding, even more so when all of the aforementioned shenanigans are added together. Busing in professional protesters to Madison during the summer of 2011 must alone have cost a fortune, and then feeding and housing for the duration of that battle, and all of that effort to be soundly defeated in three subsequent elections, that’s got to sting a bit. The recent unsealing of a document, (one that contains not a single scrap of evidence by the way,) and then trumpeting it to the press as if its some sort of revelation, is itself that loud and clear indication that the left is terrified of a Walker candidacy. When they take the destroy at all costs attitude, that’s who they believe can really defeat them. This is a malevolent version of Brer Rabbit begging not to be thrown into the briar patch.

Walker is a straight forward eloquent advocate for the principles that got Reagan twice elected in landslides. He is unapologetic, forceful, and unwavering. He won’t sell out in order to pander, and that more than anything terrifies the other side.

Exit Question: In that game of, “is the Republican crazy, senile, evil, or stupid,” which one will Scott Walker get?

I’ll bet the libs in the MSM had Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker shaking in his boots, if he even bothered to watch this cornucopia of liberal stupidity, which I’m certain he didn’t.

And these dumocrat dolts never wonder why normal people laugh at their sorry asses, and why the “normal” Clinton dumocrats, like James Carville, Doug Schoen, Pat Caddell, etc., are worried that their faux messiah is going to get trounced in November?

Here’s a boatload of liberal stupidity, courtesy of the Obama-loving morons from the MSM, mainly from (hold on to your hats, ’cause this will shock y’all!) MSLSD and CNN, for your entertainment.

This was produced by the Republican Governors Association. And the Benny Hill music is so damn appropriate, if you axe me.

It’s titled “Great moments in liberal punditry”.

So…Pop some popcorn, invite your normal (conservative) neighbors over, and sit back and enjoy more liberal stupidity in action. BTW, did you notice these libs “males” all look like and sound like sissies?

Well, other than the very manly Rachel MadCow over at MSLSD. And what’s up with that one PMSNBC “male” loser wearing eyeshadow? It must suck when your most masculine host is named Rachel…

First, let’s start it all off with the happy stuff. Tuesday night’s election results in Wisconsin are definitely good enough to unleash the baby elephants.

On the Democrat planet of Perpetual Spin, last night’s election had already taken on several dozen separate and distinct connotations. It went from being a referendum on the, “fringe right wing elements,” that had supposedly taken over the Republican Party to being, “not really indicative of anything at all,” to being a sign of, “just how unfair life is that Republicans are able to raise campaign funds.” So, as a public service of providing schadenfreude whenever that opportunity exists, please enjoy this little gem thoughtfully provided by CNN.

What the whining paid union thug in the video doesn’t say is that while there was a wide disparity in cash raised by the candidates themselves, there was also a wide disparity in the amount of money spent by super Pacs. The unions poured a ton of money into all of their shenanigans in Wisconsin which more than evened the spending playing field. Not to mention that this whole exercise in futility was their idea in the first place. We’ll get back to that topic in a moment.

After all of the recounts, the posturing and the hand wringing, what exactly was accomplished here? They did manage to pick up one seat in the Wisconsin State Senate last night but, and this one is truly funny, the Senate will not be meeting in session until after that particular seat is up for reelection again this November. You’ve read that correctly, John Lehman won a contest which will not actually see him take his oath of office, unless he is reelected this fall. That is the true fitting symbol of what the unions accomplished in Wisconsin.

For all of the constant bleating about how Democracy was not being served by a Republican having the temerity to actually win an election in Wisconsin, the political left has been going full tilt in their attempt to subvert the will of the people of that state to not be held hostage any longer. Scott Walker campaigned on a platform based entirely on balancing his state’s budget and reigning in the public sector unions which were bleeding the state dry. In 2010, he won a narrow victory, but it was wide enough to make it clear that a majority of Wisconsin’s citizens were sick of it.

When Scott Walker and his newly elected Republican majority in both Houses of the Wisconsin Legislature began keeping their campaign promises, all heck broke lose in the Badger State. Upon the realization that the taxpayer funded gravy train was coming to an end, the national unions, led by the usual suspects, bused in tens of thousands of paid agitators to lay siege to the Wisconsin Capitol. Riots erupted as Scott Walker and his team pressed forward with his agenda, upon which he had previously campaigned and won his job.

The union chieftains realized quickly that their source of bribe money, extortion profits, payoffs, and ill gotten gains was about to be seriously threatened. They retaliated with recall drives, and then followed through on those threats. So far, 10 Republican Senators, the Governor, The Lieutenant Governor, and one Supreme Court Justice have faced the wrath of the national organized labor machine. (David Prosser faced what has to be a record in terms of money spent for his reelection bid to defeat Joann Kloppenberg to retain his position on Wisconsin’s high court.) During the entire process, charges of the Walker team subverting the democratic process were leveled by the very people who were seeking to subvert the clearly expressed wishes of the people they were claiming to represent.

Last night, the good people of Wisconsin have restated, and by an even larger margin this time around, that they want Scott Walker to keep doing exactly what he is doing. As it turns out, they like the idea of not being forced to join a union, and would rather keep the freedom to not join one. They like the idea of their state’s budget being balanced and their elected leaders showing some signs of understanding that the wealth of the state is finite. They like the idea of the public sector unions not wielding the actual levers of power, but having control of those levers returned to the citizens of the state instead. Go figure.

How bad is this one for organized labor? They spent a ton of cash on this. I don’t know if they went all in, but they bet much more than they should have. Last fall, they won this battle in Ohio, Indiana was more of a tie, (largely due to Mitch Daniels being a weak fish,) but in New Jersey and Wisconsin, they lost, and lost big. After 10 State Senate Recalls, the unions hold a temporary 1 seat margin in one house of the Wisconsin legislative branch, which will not be in session until after the coming November elections when 17 of the 33 seats are to be decided all over again, including the one they just picked off. A perfect tribute for their efforts to thwart the will of the people. I guess that, “this is what democracy looks like.”

I don’t know if this actually points to any national implications, team Obama will definitely say that it means nothing. I’m sure that plenty of Conservative pundits will be piling on today touting the, “it means everything,” meme. I can tell you for sure one thing it does mean, and that is this. After decades of Democrats running things in Wisconsin, the people there are ready to give Republicans a chance, and after two years of them living up to their promises, they would like to keep them in charge.

It’s the what happens next that I am interested in now. Will the national labor unions let the good people of Wisconsin be, or will they attempt to subvert their wishes once again? Yesterday I had read in several places that they had a whole day of protests planned for today, knowing already that they were going down in flames. Few things in nature are as dangerous as a wounded animal, and make no mistakes about it, organized labor has been wounded by Wisconsin, one of their true strong holds in America. I do not believe that we have heard the last of them, but with the public spigots turned off, their bark will surely surpass their bite at some point in the future.

Look for Wisconsin to become a right to work state in 2013. Congratulations to you guys, and enjoy your status of becoming one of the stronger states economically speaking, you’ve earned it.

Breaking News: Wisconsin Supreme Court upholds Gov. SCott Walker’s reforms

In a huge blow for Progressives and the Obama regime, The Wisconsin Supreme Court upheld Scott Walker’s reform. In a 4-3 decision, they upheld the reforms of collective bargaining for public sector Unions.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Supreme Court handed Republican Gov. Scott Walker a major victory on Tuesday, ruling that his polarizing union rights law can go into effect.

In a 4-3 decision, the court said Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi overstepped her authority when she said Republican lawmakers violated the state’s opening meetings statutes in the run-up to passage and declared the union rights law void.

The law, which eliminates most of public employees’ collective bargaining rights and requires them to pay more for their health care and pensions, sparked weeks of protests when Walker introduced it in February. Tens of thousands of demonstrators occupied the state Capitol for weeks, thrusting Wisconsin to the forefront of a national debate over labor rights.

Walker claimed that the law was needed to help address the state’s $3.6 billion budget shortfall and give local governments enough flexibility on labor costs to deal with deep cuts to state aid.

This is a huge win for Fiscal Conservatism and a loss for Progressives. States around the nation will continue to undertake needed fiscal reforms.
