Some good news from the Anti-Jihad front: Some Germans are expressing anger that the police opted to forcibly remove two Israeli flags from a private apartment window and balcony after a Pro-Islamic mob threatened violence.

People in Duisburg, Germany, and across the world, are angry after police admitted to removing an Israeli flag that hanging in a student’s window during a pro-Palestinian protest, Spiegel Online reported.
The western German city’s police chief issued an apology for using force to storm the student’s apartment Saturday to remove the flag because 10,000 demonstrators protesting the Gaza Strip invasion in the street below were angered by it.
The protest was organized by the Islamist group Milli Görüs, which has been monitored by German intelligence agencies for potentially radical behavior.
The student who hung the flag, whom the paper did not identify in order to protect him, likened the crowd’s reaction to the Israeli symbol to that of a “lynch mob,” Speigel reported.

Another video shows the police literally ripping down a second Israeli flag hung from the balcony of the same apartment. Can you imagine the outrage and violence that would follow had they treated a Saudi flag with such disrespect?

“Support the West Not Islam,” were the highly contentious words on my sign. These words got me in constant, interesting and vital arguments with those on my side. Cordoned off by police barricades, my side was the one supporting Israel’s retaliation for constant rocket attacks. The video relates this battle quicker, but the text below has much more detail.
I made the sign as none of the ones our organizers distributed mentioned Islam. The signs simply addressed Israel and Hamas. Our signs failed to educate people about the clash of civilizations. They gave no reason for supporting Israel. If the conflict is just one nation against another, the West has no stake in this fight. Obviously, the Israelis’ cultural roots and values align them with the West. The Islamic world backs Palestine. Sides exist.

The Denver Post has a report on the mini-riot incited last night by the Recreate 68 gang: Rocks, other potential weapons helped spark police action.
“Denver police made limited use of pepper spray Monday night when a protest crowd that had gathered near Civic Center Park refused requests to disperse and suddenly rushed a police safety line about 7:15 p.m.” the statement said.
Police estimated the crowd at 300, although many onlookers and media also were on hand.
Among those arrested, many were observed “carrying rocks and other items that could be used to threaten public safety,” the police report said. “In order to protect the public when the crowd surged forward, two officers deployed their pepper spray and one officer used a pepper ball device.”
Pepper balls are similar to a paint ball, but contain the same material as pepper spray.
