Comedy Gold: David Brooks claims that Obama is fiscally responsible!

David Brooks, along with Peggy Noonan, Kathleen Parker, Chris Buckley, Colin Powell, JC Watts and Susan Eisenhower were called the Obamicans. These were Republicans who in 2008 voted and supported Obama. Most of those mentioned have now turned against the Pharaoh. David Brooks is still a die hard believer. He claims that Obama is a fiscally responsible Liberal. Yes, you read that correctly, Brooks believes Obama is fiscally responsible!

I’ve been critical of President Obama’s budgets. I’ve argued that while I like the way Obama preserves spending on things like scientific research and programs for the vulnerable, he doesn’t do enough to avoid a debt crisis.

[….]

Extremely senior members of the administration believe these sorts of criticisms are completely unfair and vastly underestimate their fiscal hawkishness. In this column, I thought it only fair that I provide you with a summary of their arguments.

First, their goals. They argue that it’s foolish to try to solve the debt problem with some drastic magic bullet all at once. It’s smarter to stabilize the debt while also looking after other needs, like protecting the vulnerable and investing in things that boost growth and mobility.

They argue that the president’s 2013 budget is a step toward fiscal stability that will also pave the way for bigger steps in the years ahead. They estimate that their budget would produce $5 trillion in budget savings over a decade. It would raise $1.5 trillion in new revenue by raising taxes on those making more than $250,000 a year.

[….]

Basically, what we’re looking at is a period of stability, administration officials say, which would soothe credit markets and give us time to make further adjustments. This, they conclude, is responsible prudence.

I’m not going to pass my own comprehensive judgment on this here. I’ll just say that my conversations reaffirm my conviction that Obama is a pragmatic liberal who cares about fiscal sustainability, who has been willing to compromise for its sake, but who has not offered anything close to a sufficient program to avoid a debt crisis.

But we have a campaign in front of us. If the president is truly committed to a strategy for progressive fiscal stability, as Bill Clinton was, he’ll make that the center of his campaign. He’ll earn a mandate. He’ll win over independents who want fiscal discipline but worry about the way Republicans get there.

David Brooks will vote for Obama. This clown is not a  Conservative, but a  Progressives masquerading as a Conservative like David Frum. His claim that the Pharaoh’s regime wants fiscal responsibility is just laughable. David Brooks is water carrier for the regime and he should not be taken serious. To him, Obama is our divine god-king who is leading America to a greater future. Brooks would be writing favorable of Stalin, Hitler or Mao is they were still ar0ound.

This is not a serious thread because David Brooks is not a serious commentator. He’s just a saner version of Charles Johnson.

Barack Hussein Obama has a cult of personality that rivals the Kim family of North Korea. In honor of his cult, I dedicate the following Juche on his birth.

Our national savior, Barack Hussein Obama, was born a hot day on August 4th, 1961. Already, the power of Juche was with him in a manner unprecedented in human history! His knowledge and wisdom was present at his birth.

A white tern was seen flying over his birth site and singing praises of joy at this miraculous and historical event!

Dolphins were seen jumping for joy and feeling the spiritual essence of the birth of Obama.

Lambs were spotted near the birth site, basking in awe under the light and magnificence of Obama!

The power of Obama’s birth caused Hawaiian volcanoes to erupt in tribute.

Sea Turtles were seen coming ashore to partake in the overwhelming spiritual essence of Obama’s birth.

Hawaiian Sea monks were spotted singing hymns in tribute to wisdom and knowledge of America’s savior.

These miraculous events on August 1961 in Hawaii, show the favor Juche has bestowed on the glorious Barack Hussein Obama! The divine forces sent the glorious one to rescue America from her evil imperialist and racist ways. The land has been reborn under the unprecedented guidance of Barack Hussein Obama. The spirit of nuche is strong with him!

Juche!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Appendix: One event is not mentioned in the official Juche record of Obama’s birth.

A Mongoose was seen licking his lips and peering around curiously near where Obama Birth Certificate was placed!

No wonder his real birth certificate was never shown! That Mongoose ate it!

Juche!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Case for George Pataki

George Pataki is considering a run. After drinking at bar in the Chelsea area of NYC during the last Presidential debate, he felt he can do better than those running. I agree with his sentiment.

Pataki is a formidable campaigner. He defeated Progressive icon Mario Cuomo in 94. During his term as Governor, taxes didn’t go up as much as they usually would. He has a very serious demeanor, something Conservatives are looking for. He has a history of working well with Democrats, this prevented taxes from going up as much the Dems would like. Pataki was even endorsed by the SEIU in NY! He has experience and is a rational man. America is ready for Pataki!

Admit it: when you heard that George Pataki was preparing a presidential campaign, you thought you heard wrong. Then you laughed. And then you laughed a little louder.

It’s O.K. You’re not alone. Plenty of New Yorkers very likely had the same reaction, just as they did four years ago when Mr. Pataki spent a few ill-advised months chasing votes in Iowa and New Hampshire before quietly giving up.

[…]

Enter, perhaps, George Pataki, a three-term governor of New York who may not rank among the giants of Albany, but who certainly can articulate a more tolerant, more sane Republican agenda. Mr. Pataki was hardly a fiscal conservative as governor, but he did cut taxes, and he did stand up for immigrants’ and women’s rights, and he was quite a good governor on environmental and conservation issues.

Read the rest: Pataki? For President? Well, He Just May Be the Voice of Reason Among Republicans

George Pataki is a Republican in the fine tradition of Nelson Rockefeller and Richard Nixon. He believes that government can be managed better by Republican principles. Unlike the other Republicans, he is a true moderate with appeal for the center. He will not hesitate to raise taxes on the wealthy for the sake of a deal with Democrats!  He is reasonable unlike other Republicans.

When attacked by Barack Obama, Georgia Pataki will take the high road and show his maturity. This will prove to Americans he’s an adult. In a debate with Obama, Pataki will be mild mannered and show Obama respect. He’s a gentleman and this is what America needs and wants at the moment.

An added bonus to all this., Former NY Senator Al D’Amato will probably be the Chief of Staff in a Pataki Administration.

D’Amato was known for clean and open government. He will make sure a Pataki Administration is answerable to the voters and not special interests.

America is ready for George Pataki.

Let’s give Rockefeller Republicanism another shot!

Roseanne Barr to run for President

Hey if an inexperienced community organizer can run and be President, why not a washed up comedian! Roseanne Barr has announced that she’s planning to run for President. She claims she will start her own party called the Green Tea Party!

Former sitcom star Roseanne Barr says she’s running for president. Barr made the announcement during the taping of Thursday’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

“I am running for President of the United States,” Barr said to cheers (preview video below).

According to a Tonight Show insider, Barr then claimed, “I’m totally serious,” and explained, “‘Cause I want to be part of the debates, because I want to represent the tax payer. In fact, I’m choosing the tax payers as my vice president.”

[….]

When Leno inquired if she would be running as a Democrat or a Republican she replied, “I’m not for either party because they both suck and they’re both a bunch of criminals.”

She continued, “So I made up my own party. It’s the Green Tea Party.”

Obama has lowered the bar of people running for President. This will be funny if Roseanne Barr tried to get on the ballot and actually campaigns. That would be comedy gold! Maybe she can get Charles Johnson to be her running mate!
