Obama’s dangerous Military cuts

The Regime of the False Messiah is making a huge mistake. They have decided to cut the number of ground troops from the military. This is a dangerous move because as the Iraq and Afghanistan wars proved, the US didn’t have enough ground troops to begin with. We had to rely on reserves and State National Guard Units to make up for the shortage in men. They are using Libya as an example of winning without ground troops. Well if using Jihadists to do our fighting is the future, no thanks.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Obama administration will unveil a “more realistic” vision for the military on Thursday, with plans to cut tens of thousands of ground troops and invest more in air and sea power at a time of fiscal restraint, officials familiar with the plans said on Wednesday.
The strategic review of U.S. security interests will also emphasize an American presence in Asia, with less attention overall to Europe, Africa and Latin America alongside slower growth in the Pentagon’s budget, the officials said.
Though specific budget cut and troop reduction figures are not set to be announced on Thursday, officials confirmed to Reuters they would amount to a 10-15 percent decline in Army and Marine Corps numbers over the next decade, translating to tens of thousands of troops.

I do agree some cuts to the military budget are in order. Our fiscal situation is dire and we can’t be the world’s policemen.  I do agree that we should stop being so Middle East oriented and be more focused on our Hemisphere and the Pacific, which are our natural zones of influence. That said, cutting ground troops is shortsighted and very dangerous. The Regime of the False Messiah is playing with fire here and it will be Americans who will pay the price in blood due to lack of men.

Once the cuts are implemented it will be very difficult to undo. The Regime is playing with fire

Anwar Al-Awlaki invited to Pentagon after 9/11

This shows the futility of the outreach to the Islamic community that was done by our government after September 11th. They treated imams and other representatives of the Islamic community as de facto royalty. They were above criticism and anyone who attacked them was labeled racist. This was part of a hearts and mind strategy, one that has failed. Anwar Al-Awlaki was one of those invited to the Pentagon after September 11th and instead of promoting peace he became an Al-Qaeda leader.

Anwar Al-Awlaki may be the first American on the CIA’s kill or capture list, but he was also a lunch guest of military brass at the Pentagon within months of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, Fox News has learned.

Documents exclusively obtained by Fox News, including an FBI interview conducted after the Fort Hood shooting in November 2009, state that Awlaki was taken to the Pentagon as part of the military’s outreach to the Muslim community in the immediate aftermath of the attacks.

This is another example of appeasement that has failed. Anwar Al-Awlaki took this invite to the Pentagon as a sign of weakness. Being kind towards adversaries doesn’t win wars. Creating fear in them does.

US denies Israel access to F-35 Computer

In another sign of Chairman Maobama turning on Israel, The Pentagon is now raising more hurdles for the Israelis with the F-35. They are now denying Israel access to the plane’s computer.

US denies Israel access to F-35 computer

A refusal by the United States to allow Israel to repair computer systems in the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) is at the heart of disagreements between the Defense Ministry and the Pentagon that have been holding up an official Israeli order for the fifth-generation fighter jet.

The JSF, also known as the F-35, is a stealth fighter jet under development by Lockheed Martin. Last year, Israel received approval from the Pentagon to purchase up to 75 aircraft in a deal that could reach close to $20 billion.

This is madness, if Israel can’t fix the F-35’s computer then they are useless. What is there is a war, is Israel supposed to wait in real time for US repair crews? There is more going on here than meets the eyes. My advise to Israel is to go to China or India for military cooperation. America is now under the control of Neo-Stalinist Progressives who have a very dark agenda for America and the world.

The Cyber Threat to America

This is an under reported story. China and Russia are conducting Cyber spying on America. This is a serious risk that needs to be discussed.

THE CYBERSPY THREAT

AMERICA needs to pay a heckuva a lot more atten tion to the cyberthreat. Now.

Sure, the Pentagon is refuting a Wall Street Journal report last week that hackers pinched loads of data on the military’s newest, high-tech fighter aircraft from contractors’ computer networks via the Internet.

But even if the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program wasn’t actually penetrated by cyberspies, it’s still a chilling wake-up call for the United States.

However, the Pentagon seems to be finally getting serious.

Government rumblings, such as Defense Secretary Robert Gates‘ creation of a Pentagon cybercommand, may hold some promise in protecting military networks, but the cyberthreat clearly exceeds that.

At least Def. Sec. Robert Gates knows this is a threat. I salute his alertness and wish the Pentagon luck.  Securing our information systems structure is vital to our security.
