Trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed In A Civilian Criminal Court Is Dangerous

Great post from a blog called chicagoboyz.net about the dangers of trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in a civilian criminal court-

In my previous post, I listed some (but far from all) of the practical problems presented by trying in a civil criminal court an individual (1) who was captured overseas, (2) had evidence against him collected using covert means, with (3) no chain of evidence or custody, and (4) was harshly and physically interrogated with (5) all witnesses and methods being secret.

The greatest danger posed in the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) isn’t that he will go free. The greatest danger is that he will be convicted and that during his appeals the courts will ratify all of the extraordinary measures used to capture and convict him. The great danger is that the courts will ratify the rough, inaccurate and ambiguous norms of martial law as applying to all civil criminal trials.

After a couple of decades of these court decisions reverberating throughout the legal system, we could end up living under de facto martial law.

Now, Obama wants to bring martial law into a civil court room in Manhattan. In order to let a civil conviction of KSM stand, the higher courts will have to overturn almost all the current constitutional protections of the accused.

Najibullah Zazi Indicted For Conspiring To Detonate WMD In U.S.

Our enemy is determined, and patient.  Any success in the War on Terror so far should not be used as an excuse to think that it has disappeared, or for us to otherwise rest on our laurels.  Although we might have taken our eye off the Terrorism ball as a Country, our enemy has been steady working on accomplishing their goals to detonate a W.M.D. in our Country, and murder our citizens!

Najibullah Zazi, the Denver man believed to be the central figure in a terror plot against the New York City transit system, has officially been indicted on charges of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction against persons or property in the United States, CBS 2 has learned.

Zazi was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday in Denver on a count of lying to terrorism investigators. T he new charge of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction was filed in New York City, and authorities plan to transfer him to the federal court in Brooklyn to face the new charges.

Zazi has publicly denied making any terrorist plots.  Counter-terrorist agents fear he and others may have been planning to detonate homemade bombs on New York City commuter trains. Zazi’s father and the Queens Imam Ahmad Afzali were also charged with lying to investigators in the case.

According to the Department of Justice, a federal grand jury in Brooklyn returned a one-count indictment alleging that between Aug. 1, 2008 and Sept. 21, 2009, Zazi knowingly and intentionally conspired with others to use one or more weapons of mass destruction, specifically explosive bombs and other similar explosive devices, against persons or property within the United States. The indictment also alleges that Zazi and others traveled in interstate and foreign commerce, used email and the Internet, and that this offense and the results of the offense would have affected interstate and foreign commerce.

“We believe any imminent threat arising from this case has been disrupted, but as always, we remind the American public to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement,” he added.

According to a detention motion filed, “Zazi received detailed bomb-making instructions in Pakistan, purchased components of improvised explosive devices, and traveled to New York City on September 10, 2009 in furtherance of his criminal plans.”

The present absence of bloodshed on our streets is not peace, and our enemy remains committed to Jihad and the destruction of the United States.

We dodged a bullet here – thank G-d!

Gov. David Paterson blames calls for him to step aside on race

New York Governour David Paterson thumbs through the entire deck until he finds the race card.  So he can play it.

Gov. Paterson said Friday he knows the reason behind the “crescendo” of calls for him not to seek re-election next year: it’s because he’s black.

Speaking on a morning radio show hosted by Daily News columnist Errol Louis, an angry Paterson blamed the white-dominated media for pushing him to step aside next year.

“The whole idea is to get me not to run in the primary,” he said. Paterson complained there are not enough “black” media outlets to counteract the push.

And he suggested that Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, the country’s only other African-American governor, also is under fire because of his race.

“We’re not in the post-racial period,” Paterson said.

“The reality is the next victim on the list, and you can see it coming, is President Barack Obama, who did nothing more than trying to reform a health care system.”

I supposed it never occurred to the Governour that the calls for his resignation might be due to the fact that he’s an idiotic, incompetent buffoon who has managed to drive the Empire State into the hole even faster than any of his predecessors ever could?

Of course not.  It’s all, only, solely because he’s a black guy, and the “white media” is picking on him.

Here’s a hint to the intelligence-impaired out there – we’re never going to enter a “post-racial” period so long as blacks continue to blame everything that goes wrong for them on “racism.”  Especially when the things that are going wrong for them are the result of poor decisions and incompetency on their own part.  And guess what?  You’ll know that we’re in a post-racial period when white people can criticise black people freely and not be accused of racism.    You know that you are NOT – as Governour Paterson correctly stated – in a post-racial period when incompetent racists accuse other people of racism as a means of averting the electoral consequences of their own policy failures.

In a post-racial period, people will look at the content of a person’s charactre and the actions that they do, and make judgments based on that.  Which is what conservatives and Republicans basically want.

You’ll never enter a post-racial period so long as the very first thing people think of in each and every situation is the race of the people involved, and how they can play the race card to your own political advantage.  That’s what Democrats and Leftists do.

And I might as well say this now to get the ball rolling, since we’re going to have to get the meme firmly established by Nov. 2012 – beating a black man in an election is not racist.

First, a little Q & A in New York:

And the speech:

Speech Geert Wilders New York, Four Seasons (Monday Feb 23, 2009)

Thank you very much for inviting me. And – to the immigration authorities – thank you for letting me into this country. It is always a pleasure to cross a border without being sent back on the first plane. Today, the dearest of our many freedoms is under attack all throughout Europe. Free speech is no longer a given. What we once considered a natural element of our existence, our birth right, is now something we once again have to battle for.

As you might know, I will be prosecuted, because of my film Fitna, my remarks regarding Islam, and my view concerning what some call a ‘religion of peace’. A few years from now, I might be a criminal.
